False Memories was originally formed in 2015 by guitarist Francesco Savino and soon started working on original material. In 2016, the band released a self-titled EP which included four original tracks and one cover. As time progressed, the band’s soundscapes got more mature and headed towards a more goth rock/metal sound. Invigorated by their new sound, the band started to work on its first full-length release, “Chimerical”. Originally released independently in January 2018, the album featured eight previously unreleased tracks and three of the original songs from the debut EP, for a total of 11 original songs.

In October 2018, singer Rossella Moscatello joined the band and the band eventually released a new edition of the “Chimerical” album, including three bonus tracks sung by Rossella.

For this new album, "The Last Night Of Fall," the composers are both Francesco Savino and Rossella Moscatello, with a line-up featuring new drummer Emanuele Cossu, second guitarist Moreno Palmisano, and bassist Gianluca Zaffino.

Lisa Gerrard and Jules Maxwell,best known for their work as part of the legendary band Dead Can Dance, present the studio album 'Burn'. Produced by James Chapman (MAPS), this long-play is being released via Atlantic Curve, a London-based label that is part of the Schubert Music Europe.

The record began its journey more than seven years ago, when Lisa met Irish theatre composer Jules Maxwell before working together for the first time. Things really took root when Gerrard and Maxwell began writing songs for their earlier collaboration 'The Mystery Of The Bulgarian Voices (Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares)'. They were later introduced to Chapman and asked him to produce this album, which represents a stunning departure for all three of them.

Jules Maxwell explains: “‘Burn’ was never planned to be an album. Like many joyous things in life, it grew slowly and unexpectedly. One song at a time. The seeds had been planted by Lisa and I whilst we were working on songs for another album, but didn’t begin to flower until months, years later. Without Daryl Bamonte’s tenacious encouragement and James Chapman’s sonic vision it would not have come to fruition at all. Lisa Gerrard is in my opinion one of the most important singers of her generation and it continues to be an enormous privilege for me to be working with her. What we have created still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up from time to time. Listen to it in one go from beginning to end if you can.”

Lisa Gerrard introduces this long-play “The album begins with ‘Heleali’, a meditation on the eternal rise and fall of the tides. It is a call to let go of the past and reflect on the elusive shadows of evaporation.”

With Chapman joining the duo as producer, ideas generated freely and over time, a distinct sound for their work began to emerge. Their focus was to create something that was both euphoric and compelling; more inventive than what they had worked on separately in the past. From gentle beginnings, each track builds and intensifies, creating a hypnotic experience to listen to from start to finish. With Lisa remaining in Australia, Jules adding his keys and percussion from France, and James bringing new light to the sound from England, the three were literally worlds apart, but those worlds fused in this music.

“It was such a huge honour for me to work with Lisa and Jules in making this album, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. My role was really to build on the ideas, and it was a pleasure to work with such rich and exciting material. I was very grateful to be given the freedom to explore the production, there was a real trust between everyone from the beginning, which made things very exciting for me. Having such freedom from the start enabled me to be more confident in the ideas, which in turn created more possibilities with the choices that were made. When I listen to the album now, I feel that freedom and excitement within each track,” says James Chapman.

Sosna's video is among seven specially commissioned films to accompany the release of the album. The first of these, created by Polish director Jacob Chelkowski’s video for the title track 'Noyalain (Burn)', proves more than a little provocative in these days of Covid, as it portrays the simple, traumatic act of touching.

In early March, Jules Maxwell also released his sophomore solo album 'Nocturnes’ - the debut release for the newly-formed Archangelo Recordings. This beautifully melancholic collection of instrumental pieces was written and recorded over the past four years, much of it in collaboration with the acclaimed UK-based Vincent Dance Theatre.

Back in the early 2000's, Leonard Cerzosie Jr. started a band with his brother called The Infinite Staircase that did very well as an independent band. the band worked with artists like Earl Slick from David Bowie's band, Candlebox, Sevendust, and even Zakk Wylde. In 2009, they scored a slot on tour with Black Label Society, Sevendust, and Dope that sealed a lot of friendships they still have to this day.

"In 2010, the love of my life passed away suddenly. Pill overdose. It was a devastating time. She was only 27. Morgan Rose and I wrote and recorded the EP, No Amends that was a dedication to my love" says Leonard Cerzosie Jr.

He continues, "Over the years, I've had my hand in multiple projects. I formed "Le Projet" around 2013 that featured members of Candlebox, Sevendust, and The Infinite Staircase. I also joined the Baltimore band "The Mayan Factor" a few years ago and have toured with them in Mexico City and the states. During all this, my mother was diagnosed with ALS. One day- after performing a friend insisted on introducing me to someone. He was confident we needed to meet. That was the day I met Jim Taylor. We did get along immediately and have since been composing all sorts of music together."

"When my mother passed away, Morgan got very involved with what was going on with me and my dad. He invited us out to his place in Atlanta multiple times. We started recording songs with Corey Lowery that would ultimately become "LeNNe". We spent much time digging deep for the right lyrics and tones. There were multiple artists involved over the course of a few years, but the official line up is me and Jim led by Morgan" he adds.

"Lenne is one of the most real artists I’ve ever come across. He wears his heart on sleeve, and expresses vulnerability that hits you in the heart. I love how he tells a story. These songs are an emotional roller coaster into the mind of a tortured soul" says Morgan Rose.

Of the album, Robin says, "It was hard not to draw reference from the dreaded pandemic we all found ourselves in, and still do, so I just spat out what I was feeling and “Standing On The Edge” seemed an appropriate title to describe the current climate." He continues, "In contrast to that however, songs like “Run Away” harken back to my childhood years, racing across the fields next to our house trying to beat the rain home. I’m still running all these years later!! : ) Alessandro sent me this beautiful music and this lyric and melody came together quite quickly. It's very simple and childlike and I really like how this song turned out. “Wanna Take A Ride” on the other hand was just me desperate to get out of the house during lockdown and head to the beach. Top down, throttle wide open, and a stiff middle finger to Covid. I crank this SO LOUD in my car. Makes me smile! : )"

For the stunning album artwork of The Future, Tonight, Neonfly collaborated with renowned Korean artist NOMA (Noh Gyeong Hwan), whose artistic vision is perfectly in tune with the band’s. The video for "Beating Hearts" gives an intimate insight into the world of NOMA, showing him painting the portraits of each band member in his own distinctive style.

The album artwork, as well as the portraits of the band members, form part of NOMA’s "21st Century Mona Lisa" collection, who explains the idea behind it in the following statement:

"We are one of the many organisms that coexist in this modern era. However, we are potentially just one of the many 21st century’s expandable products that may disappear at any time. We live in a rapidly changing digital era, locked within an ever-repeating media reality that turns on and off under their direction. It is like being a lifeless pixel on a TV screen, essentially becoming one of the many tools that are used to shape and create the future. We always hide our feelings and goals from some unknown enemy who could appear at any time. Helsinki-based Heavy Fucking Metal (patent pending!) group Oceanhoarse have released their new single "Reaching Skywards" today. With its in-your-face metal riffing, 90's style psychedelia and astral beauty of the chorus, this is quite possibly the most versatile Oceanhoarse song to date.

"'Reaching Skywards' is my favorite track from our upcoming album” drummer Oskari Niemi announces. “It kicks off with some eardrum-slapping metal before the verse brings a dose of funk to your afternoon, and finally the chorus lifts you up into the skies. This has to be the most twisted combination of grooves so far in our catalog! I rarely get emotional, but Joonas' (Kosonen, vocals) screams in the second half of the song always give me chills."

FARGO Releases New Single and Video For "Gimme That Bone"

New Studio Album "Strangers D'Amour" Out On June 25th

German Hard Rock band FARGO releases with "Gimme That Bone" their new single and video out of their new studio album "Strangers D'Amour" today. The video features two special guests: ex FARGO guitar player Hanno Grossmann and Torsten Lüderwaldt on keyboards, well known for his work for the band Fair Warning.

FARGO History

Founded in 1973 by Peter Knorn and Peter Ladwig, the group soon earned itself a faithful fan base and went on to sign a recording contract only a few years later. For a while guitarist Matthias Jabs, who joined the Scorpions in 1978 and went on to make a global career, was also part of the Fargo fold. Fargo themselves developed into an internationally acclaimed act, too, released their debut album in 1979 and brought out three more superlative studio albums by 1982, all of them on EMI, the major label giant of that time. The band toured all over Europe, played with the greatest luminaries of the rock scene, performed outstandingly successful tours with AC/DC, Mothers Finest, April Wine and The Small Faces, among others, and wowed TV audiences on a regular basis. Thanks to their sensational live shows (including Knorn’s legendary nightly head-first somersault), Europe’s biggest teen magazine BRAVO devoted two full pages to the Fargo bassist in January 1981.

NERO DI MARTE Shares Clips from Roadburn Redux Performance

Progressive experimental masters NERO DI MARTE have released a performance video for the songs "L’Arca" and "Sisyphos" from their livestreamed Roadburn Redux set! This was the first time the band played live in their brand-new line-up that includes guitarist Alessio Cattaneo and bassist Georgio Figà Talamanca. NERO DI MARTE’s set during the online festival can be viewed HERE.

The band comments: "We're happy to publicly share the set we recorded for Roadburn Redux 2021... Even if the experience was online, it was an awesome event which brought us together by sharing new, forward thinking music. It was an honor to be a part of it. We're now hard at work on new material in the hope that things will open back up soon."

Since 2012, NERO DI MARTE have been devoted towards creating experimental, yet heavy music contaminated by prog, death metal, psychedelia and contemporary classical music. The dissolution of these different influences creates a space in which dissonance, melody, claustrophobic and dreamlike atmospheres become instinctively juxtaposed.

After forming in 2012 and shortly after releasing their self-titled debut album 2013, NERO DI MARTE was asked by the mighty Luc Lemay of GORGUTS to tour North America with the legendary death metal band. Following the success of the tour, the band entered the studio in 2014 to record their second album "Derivae", released later that year.

Both albums received critical acclaim, and the band dedicated the following years to performing live, culminating in a European tour with GORGUTS and PSYCROPTIC in 2016 and performances in festivals such as Royal Metal Fest (DK), Stonehenge Fest (NL), Metalorgie Fest (FR), Krakatoa Fest (IT) and Solo Macello Fest (IT).

With drummer Marco Bolognini leaving in late 2016, the band recruited drummer Giulio Galati (HIDEOUS DIVINITY) in early 2017 to continue composing their third album. After 5 long years of work and transformations, the band finally completed writing and recording their upcoming album 'Immoto' once again at Studio73 (IT) with the help of sound engineer Riccardo Pasini.

Though not a "concept album", as each song goes into a very specific and unique direction both musically and lyrically, there is an overall underlying theme in 'Immoto': creating a motionless, transformative space within ourselves from which creativity, actions and relationships can manifest in a more meaningful way.

The Dead Daisies wows its fandom on every level, serving up a feast of rock music and storytelling on every digital channel using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine

As the world slowly comes out of lockdown, rock group THE DEAD DAISIES today blasts out of the gates with a smorgasbord of treats for rock fans all over the world. Releasing their latest single and using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine (best known for the hit game Fortnite), the band worked with Creative Works London to create the video and its own mobile game DAISYS REVENGE. The Dead Daisies are taking it up a level at the intersection of the entertainment industry where rock music meets gaming.

Committed to making the music from their widely acclaimed, chart-storming album Holy Ground as accessible as possible throughout the pandemic, the band decided to cover every possible touchpoint with their music and the story of Daisy, their eponymous heroine.

Out today, the latest radio edit single featuring drummer Tommy Clufetos ‘Like No Other’, is the fifth to be released from the HOLY GROUND project. This is accompanied by a new video which continues the narrative of Daisy who starred in the video on one of their previous singles entitled ‘Bustle And Flow’.

That narrative continues with the launch of a rock-fuelled rapid-fire retro mobile game, Daisys Revenge, based on the popular ‘Duck Hunt’ console game of the 80s. The game follows Daisy on her quest through Daisyland and streams HOLY GROUND throughout, thrilling and challenging the player while they rock out!

The excitement doesn’t stop there with the same storyline featuring as part of the live shows with the first dates announced kicking off 23rd June in the US and more dates to be announced in the coming months as live shows return globally.

The Dead Daisies worked with London-based agency Creative Works, to develop this inventive way of creating new and meaningful connections with rock fans while they waited for live events to be rescheduled. Slathered in classic Rock ‘n’ Roll soul and soaked in gritty, hard-baked riffs, and topped off with rich, raunchy vocals… Welcome to Heavy Water and their debut album Red Brick City, the lockdown 2020 project between Saxon’s Biff Byford and his son Seb Byford, ten songs which bring you on an irrepressible raw blues-backed journey through influences and invention, a journey which has you hooked from the first note.

The foundations for Heavy Water’s sound are set in both that incredible father/son chemistry and a lifetime of know-how and experiences. Take the title track -and first single- ‘Red Brick City’: all steam and smoulder wrapped around a riff Soundgarden would’ve been proud of, and then there’s the sun-soaked smile of ‘Follow This Moment’ with harmonies evoking the Beach Boys relayed through Led Zeppelin, a gorgeous ‘70s trip right down to the fade out. Indeed, from the taut, elastic swing of the ‘Solution’ riff to the rich, layered balladic strains of ‘Tree in the Wind’, Red Brick City moves with the class and cadence of a cracking journey uniting vintage Rock ‘n’ Roll sensibilities with the crackle and excitement of a fresh, youthful perspective.

“We decided to do something together in these dark times and the family came together to help get this album off the ground” explained Seb and Biff.

Seb Byford recorded and engineered Red Brick City at the Big Silver Barn in York, UK, while the drums were recorded by Ben Hammond at Reel Recording Studio in York. Sebproduced the album with Biff, and Jacky Lehmann mastered. Red Brick City sees Sebtake the reins on guitar and vocals, with Biff taking up the bass and vocal mantle. Tom Wittsplays the drums, while Dave Kemp rounds out the Heavy Water line-up on keyboards and saxophone. A rich, lustrous ride through profoundly rewarding rock waters. To cap off this family affair, the packaging photos were taken by Steph Byford.

“We had great fun doing this album, working together on the songs and recording during lockdown,” concluded Biff and Seb. “It’s all recorded without samples or profiles... just loud and proud!”

Finnish indie rockers Pennies By The Pound have announced they will release their new album 'Heat Death of the Universe' on May 21 via Lilith Records. Ahead of this, they present lead track 'Indigo Screams', along with accompanying lyrics video.

Mastered by Ride frontman Mark Gardener at his OX4Sound Studio near Oxford, this long-player was produced, recorded and mixed by Rauli 'Rake' Eskolin, a very achieved Finnish producer who has worked on over a dozen No. 1 records in Finland in the past 20 years.

"Lyrically, there is a loose theme on the album about the way people continue to actually socially distance themselves from others (even without or before the pandemic) due to the influence of social media and maybe the internet in general. The album title is a nod to that, the "heat death of the universe" being the lack of and eventual end of real-life social connections between people," says Johannes Susitaival.

Hailing from Helsinki, Pennies by the Pound was formed in 2016 by Johannes Susitaival as a solo project, but it quickly became a three-piece involving musicians from his past bands.

While still part of a punk rock band, Johannes began exploring some quite different musical avenues, which led to the self-produced 'Bloodshed and the Blinding Sunlight' EP in 2018. Having found their ideal producer after several years of searching, they began recording demos in 2019 for what would become this album. Due to the pandemic, they were finally able to record these tracks in autumn of 2020.

Pennies By The Pound's sound blends '80s prog rock and '90s-early '00s alternative rock - essentially heavily guitar-driven with a touch of keyboards... Big choruses, quite a few guitar and keyboard solos and grandiose arrangements.

"This album is rooted in the fact that I became heavily interested in '80s Marillion a few years ago, especially the 'Clutching at Straws' LP. You can definitely hear the influence on the record, but there's a lot of '80s Rush too, spiced up with contemporary influences like Muse and Radiohead. As an artist, I've always been hesitant to make records that sound the same as the previous ones I've done, so the sound keeps evolving," says Johannes Susitaival.

"I wanted to make a record that is borderline ridiculous, in some ways, and definitely not very contemporary. Then again, for the first time in my life, I had a chance to work with a producer, whose work I have admired since the turn of the millennium and this definitely influenced the album and its sound".

'Indigo Screams' is out now, available everywhere digitally, including Apple Music and Spotify. The full 'Heat Death of the Universe' album will be released on May 21 and can already be ordered via Bandcamp.

SETH Streams New Album 'La Morsure du Christ' in Full 🔥

French black metal pioneers SETH are now streaming their new full-length, 'La Morsure du Christ' in its entirety ahead of tomorrow's release! The album, which commemorates the fire of Notre Dame, can be heard in full.

The devastating blaze at Notre-Dame de Paris embodies the very essence of 'La Morsure du Christ.' Twenty-three years after the release of their debut album 'Les Blessures de L’Ame,' the Quintessence of Evil has unfolded in a way that none could have been prophesied. The tribulation that has emerged from the inferno that engulfed our national monument is fraught with mysticism, cabalism, and necromancy, and has taken the world by storm/shaken the world to its core. (use one or the other, but not both).

More than a mere backdrop to our new album, the brazen arson attack occurred in a time of spiritual dislocation and religious collapse, and the resulting became a cornerstone of our inspiration : transforming a mystical experience into the coalescence art of an album written in French Alexandrine lyrics. Thus began the conception of 'La Morsure du Christ.'

The evocative title echoes the debut album's deeper meanings, and symbolizes both the betrayal of a God deserting his own world and the ultimate demise of His reign. These ashes are offered to you as a gift to pay tribute and celebrate the second anniversary of the Fire.

The history of black metal formation SETH and Season of Mist spans back to the early days of the French metal scene. The band’s debut ‘Les Blessures de L'Ame’ (1998) was one of the first releases on the label. This album is now regarded as a cornerstone in French black metal, pioneering the usage of their native tongue on a black metal record. SETH has lit up the flame of those early days again with ‘La Morsure du Christ’, which can be seen as sequel to the highly acclaimed debut.

The release of ‘Les Blessures de L'Ame’ quickly gained international attention and SETH built a solid fanbase. The French blasphemers signed a two-release deal with Osmose Productions and participated on the MAYHEM cult tribute album ‘Originators of the Northern Darkness’ alongside IMMORTAL and BEHEMOTH. The second full-length ‘The Excellence’ came out in 2000 and featured a contribution from none other than Fenriz (DARKTHRONE), who wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Let Me Be The Salt In Your Wound’.

Shortly after, the group recorded their third album ‘Divine-X’ (2002) at the Excess Studios in Rotterdam (EPICA, AFTER FOREVER, SINISTER). This record demonstrated the ability of the band to mix gloomy and violent atmospheres and received extensive coverage from the international metal press at the time.

Returning to the Netherlands to record the fourth album ‘Era-Decay’ (2004), two new members joined the ranks of SETH: vocalist Black Messiah and guitarist Cyriex. Afterwards, the band was invited to play at the prestigious Inferno festival in Norway in 2005.

A long hiatus followed, until the band returned in 2011 to play an exclusive show in Germany with the German cult act BETHLEHEM. The band re-joined the ranks of Season of Mist, eventually releasing ‘The Howling Spirit’ (2013) and embarking on a European tour with PESTILENCE. Several appearances at major festivals followed, including Hellfest and Graspop Metal Meeting, concluded by a Canadian headliner tour with new vocalist Saint Vincent (BLACKLODGE).

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Les Blessures de L'Ame’ in 2018, SETHexclusively performed the entire album at festivals in Switzerland, Canada (Messe de Morts) and Belgium (Thronefest). The French label Les Acteurs de l'Ombre productions released a live recording of these shows, called ‘20 ans de Blasphème’. The band’s new line-up featured members of LOUDBLAST, ARKHON INFAUSTUS and MELTED SPACE.

With the flame of SETH burning strong again, the French black metallers started writing new material. On the new record ‘La Morsure du Christ’ (a double meaning title: literally « The Bite of Christ » and phonetically « Christ's death is certain »), they return to their original sound, employ French alexandrine verse in their lyrics and choose a striking image as an album art. The blazing inferno of the Notre-Dame de Paris is depicted on the cover, an event that shuddered the world on April 15, 2019. The release of the record marks the 2nd anniversary of the event.

It's a powerful picture that conveys the very essence of 'La Morsure du Christ.' In a world moving further away from religion and spirituality, the demise of this landmark symbolizes the end of the Christian reign and the ultimate betrayal of God. From the ashes of the cathedral, a godless world will come into being.

Metallic hardcore group Tooth and Claw shared their haunting new single “Seventy Times Seven” today via a premiere with BrooklynVegan. Taken from the band’s upcoming debut full-length Dream of Ascension, the track starts out with eerie clean guitar before quickly shifting into a harsh chugging attack. Speaking to BrooklynVegan about the creation of the song, vocalist Daniel Austin says:
“So Scott sends me the song and warns me there is a spooky clean part in it, and I laughed, but I immediately thought I have to do something different here, that there was a lot of potential in this song to strike some deep, uncomfortable chords in myself, and listeners, too. I didn’t think it would be appropriate to scream over the clean part. I don’t consider myself someone with a knack for singing (to speak of myself kindly), so I tried to channel my inner Leonard Cohen. I figured if I could hold two notes like Leonard while delivering some hard-hitting, heavy lyrics, I might be able to make this work! I feel satisfied with the result. Both Scott and I tried something new here, and it really caused us to develop a fondness for this song.”

Formed during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders of Spring 2020, Tooth and Claw features Scott Crouse (Earth Crisis, Sect), Daniel Austin (Die Young), James Chang (Undying, Catharsis, Sect), and Cameron Joplin (Magnitude) exploring new realms of aggression. “We covered ‘IX’ and put it into our very own SUBWAY TO SALLY version. Our long-time companions from Saltatio Mortis wanted us to cover the song for a bonus CD that’s part of their album Zirkus Zeitgeist (2015). Within a short time, the track became very popular amongst our fans and even pushed a few of our classics out of our streaming top 5 temporarily. After a joint tour playing the track together with Saltatio Mortis, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to keep it in our regular live set for some time. Or in other words: a Saltatio Mortis cover version became part of the SUBWAY TO SALLY set! I don't think there can be a better alliance within our scene and so we were really looking forward to performing the song again with our friends at Eisheilige Nacht - Back to Lindenpark. “

Since their foundation in the early ‘90s, SUBWAY TO SALLY have established themselves at the top of the scene. Having released thirteen studio records so far, the seven-piece featuring the remarkable Eric Fish on vocal duties never fails in surprising their devotees with an ingenious symbiosis of folk, heavy metal and rock. In the course of time, it became a tradition to celebrate every year with numerous fans and a final live show on December 30 at the venue Lindenpark in the band's hometown of Potsdam. Britain's The Gorstey Lea Street Choir are gearing up to release their new album '...from Prince's Park to Farsley - Volume I' via Britain's 500 Broadcast Recording Co. This is one of the watershed moments in the early days of the Gorstey song writing process' when they first started working together after a friendship that blossomed over 35 years ago.

As this 8-track collection won't be out until July 9, they present us an advance slice of goodness in the lead track 'Bluebird, Hollywood... Domino', a psychedelic upbeat 6/8 stomp with a nod to '22 Dreams' period Weller and British psychedelic rock group Traffic. The overdriven bass and the chiming guitars have a hint of Macca's 'Rain' and Townsend's 'Seeker'.

‘Bluebird, Hollywood… Domino’ was recorded at the Gorstey Shack (Russ’s converted garage) and Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton with producer Gavin Monaghan (Robert Plant, Editors, Ocean Colour Scene, Scott Matthews, Squeeze, Goldblade), who also produced and mixed this track. The forthcoming album also involves mixing (and a guest cello performance) by legendary producer George Shilling (Blur, Primal Scream, Cathal Coughlan, Teenage Fanclub, Mike Oldfield). Ride frontman and renowned producer Mark Gardenerprovided oversight and mastering at his OX4 Sound Studio near Oxford.

Based in the former Staffordshire mining town of Burntwood, their music runs with the moods, widely described as dystopian, electric, hopeful, hopeless and thoughtful... The sort of sounds Henry Spencer would have played if he had a Sony Walkman.

‘…from Prince’s Park to Farsley - Volume I’ is the follow up to the duo's ‘extended play one’ album, which was released in December 2020 and received support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, and a whole host of DAB and worldwide radio stations.

The Gorstey Lea Street Choir are Michael Clapham and Russ Phillips, two friends on a life-long journey, having met as teenagers in the mid-'80s, it took until 2016 for them to turn their teenage plans — discussed back when both were involved in aspiring Manchester bands — into a reality with the birth of this project.

The band reformed after reuniting for Russ' birthday party that year and a subsequent impromptu gig. After 15 plus years of not playing an instrument, singing or songwriting, Michael dove back in with a ferver that led to such a massive response from the crowd and landlord alike, with 2 songs turning into 2 hours and a guaranteed booking the next month. ‘What’s your band name boys? ‘The Gorstey Lea Street Choir’ is quickly retorted an amalgam of that first meeting point and Van Morrison’s LP ‘His Band and The Street Choir’.

A door is unlocked to a new journey... In 2018, they entered Wolverhampton's Magic Garden studios to work with an old friend and producer legend Gavin Monaghan and finally released their brilliant debut single 'The British Isles' in 2019, featuring an inspired spoken-word intro from their hero - Joe Strummer. Chris Hawkins from BBC Radio 6 Music picked up on the track, kicking things off again after a hiatus of 35 years!

"This song is a cautionary tale of days gone by, what may have been and where we are now, we are two man in our 'mid lives' (average age 51 and a half). We have a lot to look back and learn from and a lot to look forward too!!! It's amazing what we have created, two middle aged men fumbling around with some of our favourite musical toys in Russ's converted garage," says Michael Clapham.

"We are both very proud of what this track and the upcoming mini LP represents, plus we also cannot wait for you to hear the re-imaginations that our friend and collaborator Choque (Black Star Liner) has created to go alongside the 4 original tracks," adds Russ Philips.

As of May 13, 'Bluebird, Hollywood... Domino' will be available everywhere digitally, including Apple Music and Spotify. The full album '...from Prince's Park to Farsley - Volume I' will be released on July 9 and can already be pre-ordered via the label's Bandcamp.

Hard rock metal quartet LYDIA CAN'T BREATHE released their brand new single titled "SHEEP"to all digital outlets today! The single is a fresh take on the band's trademark sound with melodic guitars and dark tendencies. It showcases their ear candy intros, face melting guitar riffs, while still clinging to their heavy transitions and breakdowns.

"Sheep is an energetic guitar driven heavy piece with catchy clean vocal choruses. The verses are harder spoken parts with a heavy breakdown. The contrasting parts show the different styles and variation of the band’s sound. The song follows the theme of thinking on your own and being yourself regardless of how society tries to shape you" says the band.
