"'Say What You Need To Say' is about fighting those repressed inner conflicts that a lot of us carry inside ourselves and having the strength to acknowledge them. It's about just saying what you need to say. To stop faking that smile and letting it all out," says the band of their first single.

"We recorded the video on two different occasions. The band was filmed by Christofer Carlson outside of Gothenburg in a town called Alingsås (Sweden). We needed a dark room to get all the light and smoke effects. They had what's called a "black box" in one of their facilities and it worked out great. Funny side story...since we used a lot, A LOT of smoke, we were a bit worried about the fire alarm. We discussed the matter with our contact person, who then spoke to the janitor. And it was no problem whatsoever. Well, until there was. The fire alarm went off about 20 times during the video shoot and we had to have one of our helping hands by the plug disabling the alarm every time it went off!" tells the band of the filming of the video.

They continue, "the ballet/dance part of the video was filmed by Max Zachrisson in Bern, Switzerland. We wanted a different flavor, more than just a performance video. Max and the dancers (Marina Sánchez Garrigós, Anthony Ramiandrisoa, and Lisa Horten-Skilbrei) did a fantastic job illustrating the lyrics in a complex and entangling choreography. We couldn't possibly be more happy about the outcome."

"We put everything we've got into making "DELIRIUM", the album of our lives, so far. Every note, beat, and harmony has undergone an immense meticulousness whilst not losing that human feeling and soul. We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished. But, this is just the start. Seventh Crystal, a stunning new rock band from the fertile Swedish music scene, was put together by singer Kristian Fyhr. Initially, Kristian wanted to pursue a solo project, but when the songs started to take form, he realized he wanted to involve more musicians. So, he moved to vocals only and brought in Johan Älvsång (Pinstripe Conspiracy, Lamashtu) on keyboards/piano and Olof Gadd (Osukaru) on bass as the first key pieces, and then recruited Anton Roos on drums and Emil Dornerus on guitar to complete the line-up.

Seventh Crystal's music can best be described as arena hard rock with melodic rock influences. The band comments, “We would describe the band’s music and sound as an “intelligent” hard rock, but still very melodic. Our songwriting is very varied. We like to write songs in a pop style and then "beef" them up and make it rock. We're big admirers of everything from Cheiron Studio and Max Martin to Behemoth and Iron Maiden. So our influences come from a lot of different bands and music. But we kind of end up in the modern hard rock and arena rock sound, since that's where we have our common roots. When it comes to the songwriting, it is usually one or two of us who write the basic idea. But then each member adds their own touch and flavour and what comes out is the heavy, intriguing and exciting sound of Seventh Crystal!"

If you love the new wave of Scandinavian hard rock embodied by bands such as One Desire, H.E.A.T., and other bands who bring a huge sense of melody to modern rock, then this band is going to be right up your alley. Their forthcoming debut album will be hard to top as THE debut album of 2021.

Danny Zelisko Recounts His Career in His New Book, ALL EXCE$$ Occupation: Concert Promoter

When concert promoter Danny Zelisko says, “I’ve got some stories to tell,” he isn’t kidding. In his remarkable new book, ALL EXCE$$ Occupation: Concert Promoter, takes you both backstage and on stage with music’s top stars, recounting his incredible five-decade career in which he has produced over 10,000 concert events throughout the country.

“I say that the book took me four years to write, but it’s really 60 years in the making,” Zelisko says. “Since all this stuff actually happened, the story wrote itself. I just had to be there to decipher it, which was the hard part!”

Along with his vivid, insightful and highly entertaining recollections, Zelisko shares an eye-popping array of never-before-seen photos from his personal archives that might have readers thinking he’s a rock ‘n’ roll Zelig: There’s stories and shots of him with Alice Cooper, Willie Nelson, Roger Waters, Aerosmith, the Grateful Dead, members of Led Zeppelin and The Doors, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, Barbra Streisand, Kris Kristofferson, Chuck Berry, Jon Bon Jovi, Tony Bennett, Muddy Waters, Genesis, Tina Turner, Billy Idol, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Billy Joel, Bob Seger, The Monkees, James Brown, John Prine – as they say, the list goes on and on.

In addition, Zelisko chronicles his lifelong love of sports, his passion for collecting memorabilia and autographs, as well as some of the incredible friendships he formed while in his pre-teens with giants such as Chicago Cubs shortstop/first baseman Ernie Banks and Chicago Bears stars Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers (the bond between the latter two was the basis of the beloved film Brian’s Song). Of Sayers, who recently passed away, Zelisko says, “Gale knew how close Brian Piccolo and I were, and was a great comfort to me and my dad at Pic’s wake. I won’t ever forget his kindness.”

Zelisko also talks about his first impressions and situations that followed with concert business legends Bill Graham and Shep Gordon, who went on to be his close friends and mentors throughout his career.

What message does Zelisko hope readers will take away from the book? “Anything and everything is possible,” he says. “I want to inspire people – whatever they want to do, they can do it. You see a picture of me with Robert Plant or Muhammad Ali, and you might think, how did this guy get there? That’s the story I tell. And it can happen to you, too. You just have to believe in yourself and never quit.”

How does a starry-eyed Midwestern kid go on to become one of the biggest concert promoters in history? Zelisko details his rise from scrappy beginnings to overseeing iconic stadium shows. “A lot of people have no idea what a concert promoter actually does, so that’s something else I hope people take away from the book,” he says. “There’s the great times – hanging out with the stars, the fun, the partying – but there’s awful times, too. And there’s the work. My team and I are responsible for every aspect of putting on a show. Without the great people who have supported these promotions, day in and out, I could never have done it. They are the stars behind the scenes”

At its heart, ALL EXCE$$ Occupation: Concert Promoter is a tale of friendships. Zelisko’s longtime pal and baseball legend Kirk Gibson wrote the book’s Foreword in which he describes the author as “the straw that stirs the drink.” “I’m very fortunate to have made such incredible friends,” Zelisko says. “I think a big reason for that is because I’m always very honest with the people I deal with. I can admire them and worship what they do, but I deal with them straight and tell them the truth. I think that’s how you last in the business, and it’s how you maintain relationships.”

A Pale Horse Named Death is currently recording and working on their fourth studio album to be released in Fall 2021 via Long Branch Records / SPV.

The band led by founding Type O Negative and Life of Agony member Sal Abruscatoreleased their debut 'And Hell Will Follow Me' in 2011 and firmly implanted their roots in the metal scene with the sophomore albums 'Lay My Soul to Waste' in 2013 and 'When The World Becomes Undone' in 2019.

"I am really looking forward to releasing APHND’s fourth album later this year," says band leader Sal Abruscato. He adds, "2021 is the 10 year anniversary since APHND’s first album 'And Hell Will Follow Me' was released so it’s even more special for me to release a new album this year. There has been so much depression and anxiety for so many during this pandemic, how the world has literally become undone in 2020. The new The End Machine record "Phase2" builds on the great bluesy hard rock music of the debut, but sees the band move more towards more towards a classic '80s hard rock sound and the result is a 2.0 reboot of a killer music machine.

Says Jeff Pilson, "On this record we set out to make the very best songs possible and are more than excited with how it turned out. We also weren't afraid to let elements of the Dokken sound come through loud and clear. As a result, not only was it a very organic and collaborative process, but it was a helluva lot of fun as well!!! I feel these are some of the best songs we've ever written and I'm blown away by all the performances. George was on fire throughout, Robert makes it clear he's one of the very best rock vocalists around, and Steve delivered with all the passion and enthusiasm any band could ever desire. Far from being a simple rehash of the members resumes, The End Machine proved to be a gelled unit who sounded exactly like the seasoned pros they are, while taking their hard rock past and putting a stamp of modern production on things courtesy of Pilson.

For their debut album, The End Machine’s sound developed through several initial songwriting sessions between Pilson and Lynch with Mason later partnering with them. While the lineup may have had fans making assumptions about the sound of the band, things took a different turn. Said Pilson at the time, "The real truth of it is that George and I have this great songwriting partnership that's been going on for 35 years, and we love to work together. Robert really gelled with us too, thus making the process smooth."

The tradition started on The End Machine's debut album expands, develops and further impresses on the new album, "Phase2".

MEMORIAM Release Second Single from 'To The End' "Failure To Comply"

Onwards into battle, one more time...In the two years since MEMORIAM released 'Requiem For Mankind', the band hasn't rested on their laurels. Their fourth studio album, titled 'To The End', is due for release on March 26th via Reaper Entertainment.

Today, the band presents the second digital single from the album, titled "Failure To Comply". The song is available now on every major streaming platform.

Karl Willetts (vocals) states:

"This is one of the first songs that came together for the new album. It's got a serious political theme to it, written in the same time span of the 'Black Lives Matter' demonstrations. So this song is inspired by these events and it is inspired by a friend of mine, who was involved in one of these demonstrations in the USA. She was there to video the event. And in the process of this, she managed to get arrested and received 80 hours of community service for her work on the demonstration. But she managed to get very good video footage of the police, warning the crowd and threatening to use chemical weapons to get them off the streets. It was frightening to see these scenes and it inspired me to write the lyrics of the song. So the lyrics fit very well with the music, which is very hard and hitting. This song is a tribute to all people who were part of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations and of course to my friend."

Marking the beginning of a second trilogy of albums, 'To The End' serves as something of a prologue to the first three MEMORIAM albums. Working backwards and narrating the life story of the leader whose demise was depicted in the first trilogy, the lyrics on the album may play out in a fictional realm, but they incorporate inspiration from real life. A central theme of war is colored with political fulminations and everyday experiences that combine to create a cohesive and enthralling chronicle.

The four-piece returned to producer, Russ Russell, for the recording of 'To The End'. For the first time, the band demoed the songs and entered the studio with a new level of preparedness. Coupled with their close relationship with Russell, this created an environment that allowed for greater experimentation, as demonstrated by the diverse array of textures and sounds present on the nine tracks on the album.

From the earliest days of the band, they had their eye on the art of Dan Seagrave (Benediction, Dismember, Hypocrisy, Suffocation, etc) as an accompaniment to their music. Having created the artwork for the first three MEMORIAM albums, he has also created the cover for 'To The End'.

'Trifecta' EP Out April 23rd on Long Branch Records

Scottish metal outfit FROM SORROW TO SERENITY have dropped a new single for the track "Red Mist", along with an accompanying music video. It's the second single from the band's upcoming EP, 'Trifecta', which is set to be released on April 23rd, 2021 via Long Branch Records.

"Unlike previous releases, 'Red Mist' started as a song title before we wrote any instrumentation or lyrics for it," says guitarist Steven Jones. He adds: "Based on the title alone, we knew the song had to be our heaviest yet. Something sporadic and intense which ebbs and flows, and we ended up with a song that almost mimics each emotional phase when 'seeing red' - culminating in a fit of rage. It was a new challenge for us and in the end, we couldn't be happier with the final result. The song also includes a full orchestral accompaniment throughout its duration and is the most we've experimented with synth. With 'Red Mist' we were keen to expand on the sound we had already created for ourselves, and I believe we've achieved that."

Symphonic metal powerhouse ELEINE are back with a continuation from their breakout new album 'Dancing In Hell'. McAuley is widely recognized as one of the great singers of a golden period in hard rock music. His voice can be heard on albums from Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and of course on the chart topping MSG records “Perfect Timing,” “Save Yourself,” and “MSG”. Through these releases, he was introduced to hard rock fans around the globe, who no doubt recognized the inherent talent and skill in his vocal abilities. Since departing MSG, he released one solo record in 1999, then joined AOR legends Survivor, and then re-grouped with Schenker in Michael Schenker Fest on their recent records "Resurrection" and "Revelation". And of course, in what was an absolute revelation to hard rock fans around the world, in 2020, he came out swingin' as the frontman of the supergroup BLACK SWAN, where he joined forces with Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big).

McAuley spent the latter half of 2020 working on a new solo record, one which truly encompasses all music styles he is known for. Hard Rock and Melodic Rock superbly performed as only he can do it. Envisioned, overseen, and creatively directed by Serafino Perugino, President and A&R director of Frontiers Records with production (and co-writing) by Alessandro Del Vecchio, McAuley offers up a true gem of an album in “Standing on the Edge". Initialized and conceived after Serafino Perugino, President and A&R director of Frontiers Music Srl, reached out to Tracii about working on a new musical project for the label, the idea of a classic heavy metal sounding album was born. The music style on "Evil And Divine" is much heavier than what one would expect from these two musicians and is firmly planted in the 'metal' category. While Tracii wrote the music for the album, the fact that Michael Sweet has been writing/playing in an increasingly heavier style in the latter era, and extremely well-received, Stryper albums made him a very logical choice to sing for the band. And since doom metal, often known for having powerful singers like Messiah Marcolin from Candlemass, was a massive influence on Tracii's songwriting here, Sweet's ability and range were a perfect match.

Tracii Guns says, “SUNBOMB was an idea, then an experiment. When I heard the first vocal completed I was blown away by Michael’s voice. It’s an exciting album!”

Michael Sweet says, “Hard to believe that I met Tracii for the first time just a few years ago. We hit it off right away and we obviously share the same love for metal. Traci sent me a song and I loved the vibe and then he eventually asked me to sing on the entire album. What I love about it is it’s definitely different not only for me, but for Tracii as well. I think fans will love this album and although it’s reminiscent of some of the greatest metal bands of the past, it also has a fresh spin to it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it! I’m honored to be a part of it.”

Tracii leaked the news of the new project in a March 2019 tweet, where he described the project's debut LP as "the Metal record I would have made when I was 17 years old.” In May 2020, he mentioned on "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” that "The SUNBOMB record is really kind of like [L.A. Viking Metal pioneers EINHERJER are about to release their eighth studio album, North Star, this Friday, February 26, proving their status as the pioneers of blending Nordic Black Metal and Folk Metal genres into pure Norse Heavy Metal once again.

The album marks the band’s return to Napalm Records after 25 years, and the release of their legendary Dragons Of The North album (1996), which will be re-released as a re-mastered version on February 26 as well.

To celebrate the double release, EINHERJER just released the third single, “West Coast Groove”, together with an animated video. Old school Heavy Metal vibes meet dark Viking Metal atmosphere - EINHERJER are in top form and still prove their status as genre pioneers after more than 25 years!

North Star was recorded in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic at the in-house Studio Borealis, owned by founding member and mastermind Frode Glesnes. The raw production ties in seamlessly with its predecessor Norrøne Spor and makes North Star probably the most powerful EINHERJER album to date! North Star is EINHERJER's musical mission towards something bigger - the search for guidance by the North Star in a constantly changing world that is searching for stability.
