October 5, 2020 - Sweden’s most creative and exciting export, AVATAR, debuted their documentary titled Scaling The Mountain that follows the band throughout the creation of their critically-acclaimed, new album Hunter Gatherer. Spanning over two years and multiple countries, Scaling The Mountain gives some of the deepest insight to the band and their process that fans have seen yet. 

Out now via Entertainment One (eOne), Hunter Gatherer, marked the darkest and most thought-provoking release of the band’s near decade long career. A striking and bold manifesto, the album is an unflinchingly ruthless study of a clueless humankind’s ever-increasing velocity into an uncertain future, furthering the reach of the band’s always expanding dark roots. In 2019, AVATAR reunited with producer Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax) at Sphere Studios in Los Angeles, California, where the foundation for each song on Hunter Gatherer was laid with the band performing altogether, as they'd done only once before, on Hail the Apocalypse (2014). The old-school method of playing as one in the studio, more akin to how they are on stage, captured the essence of AVATAR. Recorded entirely to two-inch tape, Hunter Gatherer exhibits everything that makes AVATAR standouts in the vast, rich landscape of heavy metal's past and present.

The single features the blazing guitar-work of Andy Wood (Rascal Flatts, Scott Stapp, Sebastian Bach). The new song, "2020", is written and performed by Infinite Eve's guitarist, Paul Warren. While the year 2020 has turned the music industry upside-down, Paul decided to take this time off from performing to put out an intense instrumental filled with beautiful and crushing guitar tones. While he was at it, he invited his longtime friend and guitar virtuoso Andy Wood to record a suitable ripping solo! "2020" is the energetic, metal single that is certified and approved to be played on repeat at loud volumes!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to introduce Brazil’s Sculptor, a melodic death metal band who joins the label’s rapidly expanding metal roster. While hailing from South America, the band’s sound is more akin to a different part of the globe, specifically the early years of the revered Göthenburg sound emanating from Sweden and popularized by bands like Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, In Flames, and the like. The band's label debut, "Untold Secrets" is out December 4, 2020.

Based in the city of Curitiba (coincidentally also the home of labelmates Semblant, Landfall, and Electric Mob), Sculptor was founded in 2015 by Rick Eraser (vocals) and Vinne (vocals/guitars), who was joined by Caco Ramos (bass), Fabricio Reis (guitars), and Mateus Schran (drums). The band debuted with the single "Oblivion,” which became a blueprint for the songs that would comprise their debut album, “Untold Secrets”.

"Untold Secrets" is a very special album because the lyrics talk about our own secrets, because sometimes we are afraid to talk about how we feel, sometimes we want to give up on everything. But we need to fight and move on. When I wrote these songs I was battling depression and music helped me to overcome. I hope everybody who listens to these songs can talk about their own “Untold Secrets"," says frontman Rick Eraser.

"Untold Secrets" was recorded at the band's studio in Curitiba, produced by Rick and Vinne, and mixed by Linus Corneliusson at Fascination Street Studios located, appropriately enough, in Sweden.

“The name "Sculptor" means that we are the sculptors of our lives, we can shape them and transform them into what we want. The lyrics also address this subject and how everything we do impacts our world,” says the band.

"Untold Secrets" showcases the complex influences the musicians acquired through their previous musical projects. For the uninitiated, once again, the band's style can be described as musically akin to early era albums from Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork, and Tiamat.

For melodic death metal fans and metal fans in general, Sculptor are a band to keep an eye on!

October 7, 2020 - LA based, Dark Pop Rock artist SAMMI DOLL (IAMX, Kat Von D.) has released the official music video for her debut single, "AN OM IE." "AN OM IE" is an amalgamation of pounding dance beats and industrial keyboard hooks that showcase Sammi's vocal range and frontwoman persona.

Directed by Ron Underwood, the "AN OM IE" music video features a series of haunting vignettes taking the viewer through a window of bold and artistic imagery, tipping the hat to nostalgic, 90's color themes.

“ANOMIE theory is the state of social disintegration. We as a society, live within this theory; and we are our own worst enemy.

I’ve been involved in many projects with other bands (IAMX, Bullet Height, Kat Von D, Losers) and this is the first time that I’m branching out on my own. I wrote "AN OM IE" with Sean and Juliette Beavan - they have shown an incredible amount of support and mentorship through the entire process of launching this project. We got in the studio and amalgamated a sound that took influence from a few bands i’m inspired by, the first melody and word to come to my head was “ENEMY” .... which switches later in the song to become AN OM IE.”

“The video began as a concept of vignettes with director Ron Thunderwood. I knew that I wanted to create something beautifully artistic and visually unsettling. We filmed the video over the course of four months due to quarantine restrictions, so we had the luxury of time to build on the characters. I really give my blood, insomnia, and tears to everything I do artistically and tend to think about the consequences later… but I knew I was committed when a frozen octopus from Seattle showed up at my front door...” - SAMMI DOLL

U.K. transplant and Los Angeles based recording artist, Sammi Doll, is best known as the stage right, femme-fatale synth player/backing vocalist for the alternative, synthpop band, IAMX. Upon joining the then German-based band in 2013; Sammi relocated to Berlin while touring extensively through Europe and North America, amassing almost 200k followers across all social media platforms. She began composing her original material along with diving deeper into her other mediums of photography and videography. A chance encounter with Jon Courtney (Pure Reason Revolution) in-between tours led to collaborating on his industrial influenced, prog-rock band, Bullet Height. Signed by Sony/Superball Music, Bullet Height released their critically acclaimed debut LP, "No Atonement." In February of 2020, Entrepreneur and IAMX collaborator, Kat Von D, announced Sammi would be joining her band on synth and backing vocals for her debut and forthcoming tours. 
Inspired by her darkwave musical roots, Sammi began creating and mixing a myriad of influences from such bands as Metric, Stabbing Westward, and Grimes to create a sound reminiscent of 90's electronica /trip-hop, with hard-hitting synthesizers encompassed with dark poetry. Upon teaming up with legendary producer Sean Beavan, (NIN, Manson, 3Teeth, Guns N' Roses), Doll and Beavan wrote the debut single "AN OM IE"; the first release under her name.

Stating about the new single, Sammi explains: “AN OM IE” refers to the ‘Anomie Theory’ by French sociologist Emile Durkheim. It’s social disintegration; it states 'individuals in a society are in permanent competition with each other, expect much of existence and demand much of it, & find themselves perpetually haunted by the suffering that arises from the disproportion between their aspirations & their satisfaction.' 
We, more than ever, live within an anomic society… & we are our own worst enemies.

Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band.

In the year 2019, Rob took a one year leave of absence from the UN to follow his musical passion and focus specifically on songwriting and live performance. The Nomadic released its debut single “Drifting” in September of 2019, "Waiting" was released in April of 2020 and "Beyond Blue" in June. "Manhattan View" was released on June 29th. The band is set to release a series of songs including: “Walk the Streets,” “Grand Mistakes” and “Under a Georgia Sky.” Influenced by artists like Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve, Bruce Springsteen, Phosphorescent, The War on Drugs, Arizona and the 1975, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.

"Manhattan View" is the 4th single released by the Nomadic, following on from "Drifting", "Waiting" and "Beyond Blue". Singer-songwriter Rob Gaylard describes the song as "a tribute to this amazing city of New York, which has become a second home to me and welcomes people from all around the world to come and pursue their creative dreams! We wanted to capture some of the every day street scenes and views, and also the view from Long Island City, where I live and wrote so many of my songs, including Manhattan View. It's just such an inspiring view to be looking out at the greatest city in the world! It's meant as a tribute to a long long friend, and/ or lover, and equally to the millions of unseen heroes who keep the city going- essential workers, firefighters, hospital workers, taxi drivers, waiters etc. I see you, looking out on a clear Manhattan View."

Having been originally influenced by numerous cultures and ways of life, The Nomadic promotes and advocates for issues of social action and innovation, human rights, support for minorities, as well as doing the next right thing, including the idea that it is never too late, including for people to follow their dreams and passions.

Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez and drummer Mike Karle announced their new project Hurtwave earlier this year. As Hurtwave, the pair traffic in synths and the output is decidedly different than that of their main band.

The band, signed to Spinefarm Records, just shared the chill and ethereal new song "Fever Dream." Listen here.

"'Fever Dream' is a collaborative track with one of our listeners, actually," Rodriguez says about the song's origins. "He told me the heartbreaking story of losing his father and it just really struck a chord with me. I did my best to write it from his perspective and honor his father's memory all at the same time."

The duo previously shared the brand new song "Sever" and premiered the new song "Bleach" at Alternative Press.

Rodriguez also shared all the details about the band in an exclusive interview with AP.

These tracks will appear on the band's debut EP, Night Therapy I. The EP will be released as seven separate installments over the coming months.

Hurtwave was born when Rodriguez and Karle were drafting demos in GarageBand. These tracks "flourished into some of our proudest work yet," Rodriguez explains. "Blending our real and emotional lyrics into a synthwave setting has created something really special for our listeners."

Hard rock band The Lonely Ones released their brand new single "Real Big Trouble" to all digital outlets.

"Real Big Trouble started simple - with all of us passing an acoustic guitar back and forth. It is the heaviest song we've written but showcases all of our influences from old Thin Lizzy swing to Beartooth. Rock bands have always used music videos to express their creativity and innovation, “Bustle and Flow” is no exception.

Rock band The Dead Daisies have collaborated with Creative Works (London), a branding and content studio (live concert graphic artists for Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith, amongst others) to provide the latest visuals for their newest single “Bustle and Flow”. Together they are forging new ground creating narrative driven real-time immersive visual and music content, that spans live, social and digital channels. This Animated Music Experience (A.M.E) uses the Unreal Engine game engine that is behind the worldwide online video game phenomenon Fortnite, amongst others. 

The Dead Daisies are always looking for original ideas and providing unique experiences for their fans. This new offering taps into the gaming aesthetic that dominates the globe and enables the band to connect with audiences of all ages, whilst remaining on the cutting edge of technology. 

A spellbinding animation sets the backdrop for the song from their upcoming album, Holy Ground which will be released January 22, 2021.

In this dark, fiery tale a Mysterious Woman arrives at the entrance of a foreboding Sideshow Carnival that has pitched up on the outskirts of town in the grounds of an old dilapidated church graveyard. With stealth and speed on her side, the Raven deals out her punishment outwitting her prey at every turn and subjecting her quarry to a swift demise.

“Filled with energy and vigor, “Bustle and Flow” emerged as one of the last tracks to make the cut. It builds and builds and has great movement. The song and the video are about walking through the fear,” says vocalist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Hughes.

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. The original line-up sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and the #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning For You”. Contributing to songwriting, drums, and lead vocals on some of their greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame with Rock and Roll”.

Albert is set to release “Re Imaginos” on November 6th through he and his brother’s (Joe Bouchard) new imprint label, RockHeart Records / Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group). The album is Albert’s reimagining of the 1988 Blue Öyster Cult release, “Imaginos”, which was originally intended as Albert’s solo album. As Albert explains, “Most BOC fans know at this point that ‘Imaginos’ was supposed to be my solo album. Some people think it’s the best BOC album, others think it’s not a ‘true’ BOC album. In either case, they’re right. I made this new album for them so that they can hear a more properly realized version of the tale."

Former Candlelight Red guitarist Jeremy Edge is quickly establishing himself as an axe slinging guitarist/singer, stretching his musical horizons beyond hard rock and metal. Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group) has just released his new release, The Jeremy Edge Project, which features guest performances by Brandon Yeagley (Crobot), Brett Hestla (Dark New Day), and master blues guitarist Josh Smith. It is available for streaming and download, as well as all major outlets on both CD and Limited Edition Vinyl.  

The album features 9 tracks - varying from bluesy and soulful ballads to in your face rock grooves with blazing guitar. He has just released a video for the lead off track on the record “Firedancer”, which already has people taken notice of this blistering track.

The opening track on the album, Firedancer Intro is a guitar explosion that could easily be mistaken for a long-buried Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn track that was recently discovered. This leads into Firedancer, a straight-head hard rocker that would be most familiar to fans of Candlelight Red, Crobot and Dark New Day.

Jeremy had this to say about the new video, ““Firedancer was a fun video to make. We wanted to add some of the psychedelic effects of the “Beat Club” era but not make something that was completely retro. This is the first time any of us had ever performed in front of a “green screen” so it was one of things where you really had to use your imagination and just get dropped into the song. We also featured an old vintage Sennheiser microphone in the video that was left to me by dad. I think it’s probably from the late fifties? Aside from the performance stuff, some friends of mine had years ago turned me on to how cool “Poi” was and I thought something kinda like that was the perfect fit for this song. The Director, Wade Spencer did a great job combining those elements.” 

Deko Entertainment president Bruce Pucciarello stated, “Jeremy has an innate ability to blend musical fruit from different decades and have it come out like a perfectly sweet smoothie.  Total chops with an ability to transcend, blend, and create.  Keep an eye on this virtuoso.”

The Small Town Titans are an American rock n' roll power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a newer wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple. In November of 2018, the band’s cover of the Christmas song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” went viral in a matter of days, leading to charting on various Billboard charts including Holiday Digital Song Sales, Rock Digital Song Sales, Emerging Artists, and reaching #5 on the Next Big Sound chart. The song also reached #2 on the iTunes Rock charts, only being surpassed by Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. STT quickly found themselves achieving success, all on their own terms. As a continued unsigned act, all three members have risen to the occasion to continue to make music the way they want to, free from having to follow traditional music industry rules. By changing their mindset and focus towards creating content like many successful YouTubers, STT has made fans the old fashioned way, by word of mouth.

With no manager, label, or radio support, the Small Town Titans have managed to find success by simply never forgetting one thing, their fans, both new and old. NEW ALBUM PLANNED FOR RELEASE IN 2021

NIGHT RANGER have initiated the writing and recording of their next, yet untitled, studio album, which they plan to release via Frontiers Music Srl in 2021. The new album will follow 2017's “Don’t Let Up”. Songwriting started with the three original members Jack Blades (lead vocals/bass), Kelly Keagy (lead vocals/drums), and Brad Gillis (lead & rhythm guitars) meeting and putting their initial ideas together. The recording has now started with Eric Levy (keyboards) and Keri Kelli (lead & rhythm guitars) joining the process and the band will record through the rest of the year. The plan, subject to change, is to deliver the record to Frontiers in the first few months of 2021, with a release in the summer currently planned. The hope is that the album release will coincide with the band’s return to the stage, conditions permitting.

Guitarist Tommy Gibbons (Farewell to Fear, Wade Cota) will release his new lead-off single titled "Tonight"

On October 13, 2020. “Tonight" will be released to the world viewing audience, but a special exclusive premiere is planned for September 30, 2020 at a few hand picked radio stations. Tommy’s single will be impacting radio on 10/27/20. Tommy is releasing an EP coming out independently on January 12, 2021.

Tommy Gibbons is currently the lead guitarist in Farewell to Fear and the guitarist for the American Idol Finalist Wade Cota! In previous experiences, Tommy was the guitarist in Tantricand FLAW. Tommy has toured the US extensively and has created his own fan base with personal interactions and live performances that people do not forget!

Tommy joined Farewell to Fear in 2019 and performed on Chris Jericho's Rock and Wrestlin Rager at Sea Cruise out to the Bahamas with the band in January, 2020. In the summer of 2020 Tommy decided to launch a solo career to have music with his own personal stamp. Aside from writing the rip roaring riffs for FtF, Tommy's passion is geared more towards a Rock Alternative and Hip Hop Mix.

Tommy decided to revisit some of the older material he put out 2 years ago and place them in media outlets for his fans and he was quick to realize the demand! Tommy has more than 60,000 monthly listeners right now on Spotify and has landed on 2 curated playlists already!
