Swedish folk rock pioneers GARMARNA are now premiering "Två Systrar," the second new song from their upcoming record 'Förbundet.' The track features guest vocals from Maria Franz (HEILUNG).

GARMARNA comments:

"'Två Systrar'
"This one goes deep.

"We’ve been playing around with this classic tale of betrayal and revenge before but it was always put on hold. Not this time. The poetry is breathtaking, it doesn’t get much starker than this.

"Musically, for us, this is one of the most satisfying songs we’ve done. With Garmarna, there is always a riddle. An escape room. We’re trapped until we solve the puzzle. Here, it started with an original idea of ours blended with a traditional melody and in an hour we transformed a whole bunch of ideas into a melody that just flows.

"Stefan was playing around with the amazing Elektron Octatrack, preparing a soundpack of Nordic sounds (keep your eyes open for that). So a Mouth harp, treated in a million ways, created a set of harmonies we could play on the keyboard. The strange harmonies seemed to be the key so we followed.

"There has been some moments where creating music is expanding ones soul and mind in ways words cannot describe and personally, the creation of 'Två Systrar' is one of the most powerful examples of this.

"We’re so proud to present 'Två Systrar.'
"Enjoy!"

The visionary folk sounds of Sweden’s GARMARNA marry the past to the present on their captivating new album ‘Förbundet.’ ‘Förbundet’ (Swedish for connected) is an especially apt title as their songs, inspired by traditional Swedish folk music and Scandinavian ballads, are played by acoustic instruments but accented by a flourish of modern electronics (beats, loops and samples). The album, led by Emma Härdelin's spellbinding vocals and aided by the rich production of Christopher Juul (HEILUNG), see the Grammis (Swedish Grammy) winning group operating at the heights of their powers. GARMARNAhas persevered for nigh on four decades now, and ‘Förbundet’ further secures their legacy as one of the worldwide leaders of traditional Scandinavian folk music.

Pre-sales for 'Förbundet' are now live in the Season of Mist shop HERE.

It is very easy to tout a band's eclecticism in our modern era of musical mash-ups and globe-spanning Zoom collaborations. But Swedish folk-rockers Garmarna have been turning traditional ideas on their head long before it was fashionable. Over the last 30 years, they been stirring in a rich blend of influences that create their unique sonic blend. For their efforts, they have won a Swedish Grammy award, gained the respect and collaboration of esteemed musicians in their homeland, and cultivated an international following.

On their seventh and latest studio album Förbundet, Garmarna continue blurring the traditional and the modern, with the often multi-tracked vocals of Emma Hardelin floating above it all. A ballad from the 1700s, “Ramunder” is imbued with heaviness, like an acoustic metal tune, with Anders Norudde from Hedningarna playing moraharpa (a cousin of the hurdy gurdy) on the song. Thumping drums and frenetic strings drive the moody “Sven i Rosengård,” while the danceable “Lussi Lilla” is more playful. On the flip side, acoustic ballad “Ur Världen Att Gå” and the dreamy vocal track “Din Grav” balance out the more propulsive tracks.

As with past efforts, the new Förbundet serves up traditional material infused with original ideas, with Garmarna looking to medieval and murder ballads and Estonian chorales for inspiration. It is certainly a dark album.

“There is more to the Swedish culture than this darkness,” notes co-founding member Stefan Brisland-Ferner. ”But the traditional stories have an edge to them that’s something special. There’s a harshness we just can’t resist. A feeling lurking in there that is beautiful, wild, and haunting. This new one is maybe the darkest yet, in that it deals so much with death, longing, sorrow.”

For Stefan, the most personal song on the new album is the tranquil, ethereal ”Vägskäl” which has been described as being about life's crossroads, grief, and losing someone, and also memories that are slowly erased or that can last a lifetime. ”It is the one completely original song on the album and the newest one,” he says. ”Both musically and lyrically, it resonates with a certain place in life I have found myself in.”

Garmarna originally formed as a trio in 1990 featuring guitarist/violinist Gotte Ringqvist, violinist/hurdy gurdy player Stefan Brisland-Ferner, and guitarist/bassist Rickard Westman. After a couple of years of growing their music and audience, they accured drummer Jens Hoglin after being asked to perform at a prominent musical festival in Autsfred, Sweden. Their friend, singer and violinist Emma Hardelin, was in the audience, and she soon joined their ranks. The line-up has remained solid since then.

After releasing their self-titled debut EP in 1993, Garmarna toured Sweden and began developing energetic live shows that in subsequent years have inspired everything from dancing to headbanging. Amid her bandmates, Emma became the calm of the storm onstage, her beautiful vocals an anchor for their energetic music.

”Emma has a very distinct and beautiful voice,” notes Stefan. ”The choices we made early on were traditional ballads that tell a story. The vocal is delivering information and can’t stand in the way of the story, and the instrumentation and arrangements must help to tell the story. The vocal will always be in the center of our music.”

By 1994, Garmarna signed a North American distribution deal with Minneapolis-based Omnium, the label founded by Boiled In Lead bassist Drew Miller who has a passion for eclectic world music and punk-folk tunes. Omnium released Vittrad (1994) and Gods Musicians (1995), and their sister label Northside unleashed Vengeance (1999) and Hildegard Von Bingen (2001). Now 25 years later, Garmarna is on Season of Mist, the international metal label that is starting to explore the dark folk world.

“We have certainly crossed a few boundaries,” acknowledges Stefan. ”We did so quite early and found our own world from which to expand further. Maybe this was luck. Or maybe we are good at finding the right balance between the elements. Again, this their something we ever strived for.” He adds that at one point, they found a certain tone in our music that resonated with the tones of their other tastes.

”The lyrical specter of the classical world,” he elaborates. ”The terror of industrial and black metal. Country music, indie pop, rock’n’roll. At the time, artists like Beck and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion had a great impact on our thinking. Björk, Skinny Puppy, Bowie, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and lots of other artists from different genres were big heroes for us as well.”

What linked the band members together was their passion for traditional Swedish fiddler’s music and folk singing. ”We don’t think of music as genres but rather like emotions, colours, elements,” explains Stefan. Despite their sonic deviations, they have always felt they have a specific sound, and an American magazine in '99 compared Garmarna's music to a nicely marinated stew, a comparison they favored.

Cooking up this musical melange was not a conscious choice in the beginning. Their collective eclecticism naturally led the way for their folk fusion. ”Using samplers particularly was something that felt just aesthetically right,” says Stefan. ”We could use layers of drones and re-pitch stuff, use both old and new sounds that fitted the songs.”

Throughout their career, the band has taken many interesting journeys, including music inspired by the medieval work of Hildegard von Bingen and a New Year's Eve '99 performance in which Emma performed songs by Benny Andersson of ABBA. They have played at medieval, folk, and rock festivals. While the group did take a 15-year break from recording – family and work commitments, a little creative burn out after years of the tour/album/tour cycle, plus the illegal downloading woes of the early '00s factoring into this studio hiatus – they maintained their chops and passion by continuing to tour.

When asked about how fans have responded to their different influences and diverse output over the years, Stefan cannot definitively say because their followers are seemingly fluid in their tastes as well.

”Sometimes we’ve thought the audience will hate the new stuff, all jungle beats or house or pop or whatever,” he says. ”The audience is a mix of metal heads, folk enthusiasts, hipsters, and just casual music lovers of all ages. Along the way, they have seemed to like what we do! We know that a lot of people wished the return album 6 would have been a bit more traditional, but then a lot of people also praised it for being 'so much Garmarna' in the sense that it took an unexpected turn somewhere new.”

Their loyal acolytes should be pleased with Förbundet, and they will likely draw in new converts as well. You're next.

TOMBS Unleashes New Song "Bone Furnace"

Brooklyn metal formation TOMBS has partnered with Decibel Magazine to unleash their apocalyptic second single, "Bone Furnace," along with a visualizer. The song is taken from the band's upcoming full-length, 'Under Sullen Skies' on November 20 via Season of Mist.

Pre-orders for 'Under Sullen Skies' available in the Season of Mist shop HERE.

There’s a line from Mike Hill’s audiobook/tour diary of ANODYNE’s 2004 European tour in which the gravel-throated frontman affirms, “I will always outwork you.” In that case, Hill was referring to an incident in Germany early on during a six-week long overseas jaunt with his previous band. In actuality, however, he could have been talking about any instance between when he first picked up a guitar as a teen and the present. Whether it’s his history dating back to previous bands OTIS, ANODYNE, KING GENERATOR or VERSOMA, his ongoing solo work in VASILEK, the more recent SCORPION THRONE  project or his thirteen year reign as the driving force and nerve center of post-black metal institution TOMBS, hard work is second nature and nothing will keep the guitarist/vocalist from creative endeavor and expression. And it’s not just music in which his propulsive work ethic has gleaned results: Hill also is the CEO and roast master at Savage Gold Coffee (a labelling nod to TOMBS’ 2014 album of the same name), the host/producer/creator of the Everything Went Black podcast, host and producer of Gimme Radio’s Metal Matters flagship podcast, the creator and co-host of horror podcast Necromaniacs as well as a stalwart in the print and online journalism world covering music and MMA fighting. His is, has been and always will be a life steeped in dedication and with unassailable drive in the cross hairs. And despite the world being put on pause, Hill refuses to curtail his innate determination and ongoing tenacity with the result being TOMBS emerging with the next chapter in its impressive catalog and growing legacy: the band’s fifth full-length, 'Under Sullen Skies'.

“The week VERSOMA broke up in 2007, I started TOMBS,” he says, recalling how, characteristically, the band started before any dust was permitted to settle. “The initial rehearsals ended up being the bulk of material that showed up on the first [self-titled] EP. The intent from the beginning was to get back to playing music I wanted to hear and to not be so concerned with genre or satisfying anyone else’s desires. It was to do music on a personal level and be a reflection of the darkness I’ve felt throughout my life.”

Formed in the gritty corners of pre-gentrified Brooklyn, NY, TOMBS’ early mandate was steeped in the harshness and atonality of black metal but dosed with trace amounts of the varied influences and inspirations ingrained in Hill’s musical muscle memory by previous bands. “The canon of music TOMBS has created has spanned several different genres, but I’ve always had it my intent for there to always be a certain amount of violence and hardness lurking the background.”

Those early years delivered splits and singles, the highly revered 'Winter Hours' debut in 2009 and Decibel’s 2011 Album of the Year, 'Path of Totality'. Never one to sit still, 'Path of Totality' was followed by appreciable and impressive amounts of touring in accordance with the lauding afforded by critics and fans and the braying of foes, which only served as fuel for Hill’s perseverance. Savage Gold came three years later after which a restless Hill began nudging TOMBS’ black metal base into territories populated by gothic and death rock artists like FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM and SISTERS OF MERCY as well as avant-garde purveyors Caspar Brotzmann and Live Skull while never forgetting – or being able to – scrape the grime of NYC from under his fingernails. The addition of a second guitar and live keyboards/samples brought a fuller sound and allowed noise sequences and soundscapes to be brought to the live show. It was around the time of 2016 'All Empires Fall' EP that TOMBS punctuated its iconoclastic spirit and thought process. Despite then-being part of the Relapse Records family, the band struck out with the intent of self-releasing the EP in order to retain as much independence as contractual obligations would allow – retaining the digital and publishing rights while eventually licensing the record back to Relapse. A one album stint in 2017 under the Metal Blade banner birthed 'The Grand Annihilation' into the world where TOMBS took broader and more daring steps into buffering black metal with morose melody, sullen death rock and classic METALLICA chugging. Following a parting from Metal Blade, the band – now completed by drummer Justin Spaeth, guitarist Matt Medeiros and bassist Drew Murphy, who are also 3/4ths of New Jersey death metal crew KALOPSIA - quickly found a home on Season of Mist and issued the 'Monarchy of Shadows' EP literally a week before the world went into Coronavirus lockdown.

“The original strategy assumed we would be on the road for most of 2020,” says Hill with a lamenting laugh. “We had a sick tour with Napalm Death planned right after the EP’s release. We were going to record the new full-length before the tour and have it come out in the fall. There was all kinds of tour talk and plans and 2020 would have been a tour-de-force of TOMBSactivity in the United States and Europe. Obviously, none of that is happening, but we’re still going ahead with the record.”

Of course they are. Throw a hurdle in front of Mike Hill and he’ll never shy at rolling up his sleeves and taking on the challenge. Even with the world in shutdown mode, Hill is still brimming with enthusiasm about the input and work ethic of the current TOMBS lineup and how Spaeth, Mederios and Murphy stepped up to the plate in the creation of 'Under Sullen Skies'.

“Everyone contributes on this record and the door has always been open for others to do so. There has always been this misconception that I’m some sort of tyrant always telling people what to do and play. The fact of the matter is that most of the time I outwork people; that’s just the way I am. No one is ever going to outwork me on any level in any area of my life and I was always coming up with material. Now, I have these maniacs in the band who are equally motivated and there’s a whole new life injected into TOMBS. That’s awesome and I love it. These days we’ll try anything and we actually write stuff and throw it out because it’s not perfect. It’s more like a writing committee, which I really appreciate. It’s not just me writing everything. It’s a big difference from 'The Grand Annihilation' which was basically a solo record.”

'Under Sullen Skies' is this lineup’s second kick at twisting black metal’s DNA around dank emotional corners, psychological turmoil and the urban underbelly all of which is unavoidably coloured and touched by the present-day status of life on this here Earth.

“The album’s title came during all this and the sort of post-apocalyptic world we’re living in,” Hill explains. “It encapsulates an overall feeling of gloom and depression which is pretty much how we’ve been living for most of this year. The title was the last piece to fall into place. I remember standing on the roof of the building I was living in at the time on a grey day and it was raining – actually, it wasn’t even raining; it was a half-assed attempt at rain! – and depressing and I just thought, ‘What a sullen sky’ and it just stuck with me.”

The album starts with “Bone Collector,” a furious blast of melodic black metal that shifts gears towards an anthemic fist-pumping slog through the goth rock-thrash metal VENN DIAGRAM. “Void Constellation” takes as many cues from Peaceville Three gloom and doom as it does the death metal stomp of OBITUARY and INCANTATION. “Descensum” mines the various well-worn parts of Ride the Lightning for influence before blasting the doors open with some startlingly spacious chromatic single-note atonality. As the album progresses, further textures and moods are employed via acoustic instrumentation and keyboards as well as sampled soundscapes all butting heads with furious second wave black metal and sly to nods to death rock heroes SISTERS OF MERCY and FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM, all of the band’s motivations and interests being dropped into the chameleonic pair of tracks closing the album, “Sombre Ruin” and the appropriately titled “Plague Years.”

“‘Barren’ stands out as the song that’s most collaborative,” notes Hill. “Justin wrote the bulk of the riffs on that one, that sort of NWOBHM/SCORPIONS ending part is something I came up with, Matt added a bunch of guitar harmonies over it and Drew’s bass is laid thick underneath. That one is one of the biggest group efforts and one of the strongest songs on the record.

“I explore a lot of the archetypes that are used in folklore on this record, like werewolves and vampires which I’ve always been interested in, and on a song like ‘Secrets of the Black Sun’ I talk about the finite nature of our time on this planet, that nothing is really permanent and being aware of that whether as an individual or as a civilization, which I guess fits in with the pandemic and the changes that are going on. There are all kinds of other people, civilizations and creatures that have come and gone long before us and if you think about it over a long enough time span, everyone’s life expectancy goes down to zero.”

The new album not only sees Hill expanding his creative and collaborative comfort zone by wholly embracing the offerings of his band mates, but he’s also let down the drawbridge to allow folks from beyond the immediate TOMBSfamily to include what he describes as “mad guest spots.”

“There’s Cat Cabral, who does the spoken word piece on ‘Angel of Darkness.’ She’s not a musician per se; she’s more from the occult and witchcraft world. I’ve been friends with her for a really long time and she’s a great resource for esoteric knowledge. She’s also an actress who has done plays and commercials and been in films, so I figured she’d be the perfect person to deliver dialogue in an emotionally deep way, and be good at taking direction. Ray Suhy from SIX FEET UNDER rips the guitar solo in ‘Barren’ and that solo is its own masterpiece, in my opinion. BLACK CROWN INITIATE and former TOMBS live guitarist Andy Thomas contributed a guitar solo in ‘Void Constellation.’ Todd Stern from PSYCROPTIC plays the solo in ‘Mortem.’ Sera Timms from IDES OF GEMINI  and BLACK MATH HORSEMAN does guest vocals on ‘Secrets of the Black Sun.’ We’ve got INTEGRITY’s Dwid Hellion singing the chorus on ‘The Hunger’ and BLACK ANVIL’s Paul Delaney also doing a couple of verses on ‘Angel of Darkness.’ So, yeah, there are a bunch of people on there and it’s like a community effort which I enjoy. I like involving people I respect and having them be a part of the whole thing.”

After spending his entire adult life navigating the pitfalls and pratfalls of the industry for expressive and creative opportunity, Hill has amassed an impressive legacy, one that 'Under Sullen Skies' contributes to admirably and irreverently. Like most, the extreme music underground lifer and veteran is probably justified in approaching the future with very muted optimism, but while the world works at screwing its head back on straight, Hill is going to do what he wants to do as well as he possibly can. Uncertainty may reign at the moment, but Hill and TOMBS are still going to do their thing and will be content to please themselves in the process. If anyone else happens to be along for the ride, then welcome aboard.

“'Under Sullen Skies' is a dark and introspective album,” he asserts. “It’s not a happy record that anyone is going to use to get pumped up on a Friday night. We wanted to pull out the stops, go full-on and make a nice body of work. I could care less if anyone likes the band or not because I’ve been through so many ups and downs with this thing that I don’t give a fuck if people enjoy the music. I know I like it, I know the guys in the band like it and we’re just rocking and rolling. This record and the EP came out about as close as I could imagine to what I have in my brain about how this band should sound. The whole trajectory of the band has had each record never quite hitting, but 'Monarchy of Shadows' and 'Under Sullen Skies' have both really come out how I envisioned the songs to be.”

PORTUGUESE BAND CURRENTLY WORKING ON LABEL DEBUT

PLANNED FOR RELEASE IN 2021

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Kandia, an alternative metal band from Portugal, to a multi-album deal. The band is currently working on their label debut, which is planned for release in 2021. Kandia is one of the first bands signed through the Frontiers & Beyond initiative, which was launched by the label with the intent to sign bands who will be part of the next generation of hard rock and metal.

“We are excited and very eager to work with Frontiers," says the band. "The label is passionate about music and we are proud to be part of the family. Our new album will definitely have our identity, but we always like to experiment with new things. These hard times that we are going through are giving us much inspiration, so this record will be filled with different emotions.“

Kandia started in November 2007, founded by singer Nya Cruz and guitarist André Da Cruz. They decided to name the band Kandia – to obfuscate, to blind by light – as they felt it would represent the positivity they wanted to radiate. Influenced by progressive rock bands such as A Perfect Circle, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, and metal giants like Metallica and Pantera, the band was able to find a unique sound joining all these influences in their songwriting. Musically, Kandia create raw, melodic, and sensual music that delivers positive messages while not leaving the aggressiveness out of the music.

Kandia has released two full length albums thus far, both produced by Daniel Cardoso (Anathema), and one EP. At the end of 2019, once again partnered with Cardoso to begin writing a new album. In May 2020, they released the song “4 Walls” as a taste of what's to come. More songs are now being written, with a full length album anticipated for release in 2021.

CONEY HATCH TO PLAY THE LEGENDARY EL MOCAMBO IN TORONTO

Image 10-1-20 at 4.19 PM.JPG

Canadian hard rock veterans Coney Hatch are pleased to announce their first-ever pay-per-view web concert on October 3, 2020.

The band (lead vocalist and guitarist Carl Dixon, vocalist and bassist Andy Curran, guitarist Sean Kelly, and drummer Dave Ketchum) returns to the legendary El Mocambo in Toronto for the first time since 1983.

The concert will feature music from all four of their studio records spanning a 30+ year career, and will include a close-up interview hosted by Metal Tim Henderson of BraveWords fame. The show will be recorded for a future release on vinyl and CD which also marks the first-ever Coney Hatch live record release.

To order tickets, visit: https://www.ticketweb.ca/event/coney-hatch-el-mocambo-tickets/10721495

“Michael Wekerle - the CEO of the El Mocambo - is a very big Coney Hatch fan, and invited us to be one of the first bands to perform at the new renovated venue in Toronto,” explains Curran. “The El Mocambo is easily the safest venue in Toronto. It’s become the poster child for COVID safety procedures and the city of Toronto did a live stream event on Canada Day and helped pave the way for them. Tables and chairs are all laid out with social distancing regulations in place - with 50 people only on two floors, staff all wearing masks, sanitizers everywhere, temperature taken when entering…they really have gone to great lengths to make artists and patrons feel safe.”

“We paid special attention to all four studio records and chose a mixture of fan and band favorites…kind of a ‘best of Hatch’ night with some cool visuals we’ve added, plus a 30 minute interview with me and Carl, hosted by Metal Tim Henderson - poking and prodding us about our past , present, and future!”

And speaking of the future, the bassist offers this preview of the upcoming live release – “This show will be recorded and filmed for an upcoming Coney Hatch vinyl release. We’ve never released a live record and we feel that our live show is at a different level…so it’s long overdue. Since we’ve been playing in Europe over the last few years and our mini Canadian tour with Steve Harris’ British Lion, there seems to be renewed interest in the band, so, we’ll take it!”

Pre-order your copy with the option to bundle a special limited edition Coney Hatch El Mocambo exclusive event T-shirt at https://coneyhatchstore.myshopify.com. Proceeds from every live stream purchase, in-person ticket, and T-shirt purchase will go towards the Unison Benevolent Fund to aid the Canadian music community.

BrokenRail Release New Single, "The Hate"

Birmingham, AL based , Hard Rock / Metal band BrokenRail has released the official music music video for their new single, "The Hate." Written and recorded during the lockdowns, "The Hate" not only introduces an all new era of BrokenRail, but captures the raw emotion of being left behind in a world trapped with panic, chaos, unrest, uncertainty, and anxiety, reflecting the current state of the world facing lockdown, financial insecurity, social unrest, and the overall experience of living through a global pandemic. We must come together and accept our differences and find the common ground amongst us. United we are strong, divided we fall.

"When writing 'THE HATE' we really wanted the song to not only showcase the abilities of each of our members, but to also reflect all of the negative emotion worldwide stemming from the virus and the lockdowns it caused. We feel between the song itself and the video we created we truly captured a snapshot of the current state of the world as COVID-19 helped fan the flames and fuel the fires of hate across our Earth. We hope you enjoy the new direction and we're thrilled to bring you the new album later this year!" - Blake Clawson(Lead Vocalist)

BrokenRail signed a worldwide label deal late last year with LA based Cleopatra Records and spent January of 2020 in LA recording their first album with the label with longtime producer Joseph McQueen(As I Lay DyingBad WolvesUpon A Burning BodyLight The Torch) at Sparrow Sound. Like everyone else, the band came to a screeching halt early this year due to COVID-19.

BrokenRail are an award-winning rock and metal act currently making their mark on the global music scene. Their fresh fusion of hard rock energy to infectious metal rhythms has seen them amass a following in the tens of thousands worldwide. This exposure saw the fierce five piece featured on many major media outlets including ESPNNBC Sports, MMA’s World Series of Fighting, and more. Their 2018 album Til Death Do Us Part won top honors at the 2019 Independent Music Awards in New York for “Album of The Year”, not to mention receiving streams in the tens of millions globally. DEFECTO Drop New Track "Tempest"

Provided to YouTube by The Orchard Enterprises Tempest · Defecto Tempest ℗ 2020 Black Lodge Records Released on: 2020-09-25 Auto-generated by YouTube.

Third Studio Album 'Duality' out October 23rd via Black Lodge

DEFECTO are back with their third single "Tempest", taken from the band's upcoming album 'Duality', which drops on October 23rd via Black Lodge. Fans can listen to the new song as well as pre-order Duality at the link found here.

The sonic deluge of Tempest’s dark and pumping riffs is sure to pull you under. Tempest reflects on the ocean as a metaphor for life - for all of the beauty that it provides, there is this notion that we will never really truly be in control – all we can do is try to stay afloat.

The Danish metal act dives into the metal scene has been both successful and hectic. Just a year after the release of their debut, they were offered supporting slots for both Metallica and Rammstein. Defecto played numerous sold out shows, both domestic as well as around Europe. In addition, they also played some of Europe's biggest rock festivals. This gave the band a reputation of being a solid live act. The millions of streams that Defecto has reached in their career so far also show that there is something deeper and more meaningful in their music that the fans love about Defecto.

This fall sees the release of the bands' third album, titled 'Duality'. It is a combination of both light and dark, and the culmination of what Defecto stands for.

ELECTRIC HYDRA Release Music Video for "Blackened Eyes"

Swedish rock band Electric Hydra - Blackened Eyes Majestic Mountain Records / Tee Pee Records Taken from the debut album "Electric Hydra" Published by Sound ...

Self-Titled Debut Album out November 27 via Tee Pee Records/Majestic Mountain Records

"These are riffs that will melt your speakers..."

METAL INJECTION

"Sabbath, Entombed and Fu Manchu. This comes through in fiery spadefuls on this riffy yet head-spinning new single ['It Comes Alive']"

CLASSIC ROCK

With their new single and subsequent music video for "Blackened Eyes" premiering now over at Rock Hard(watch it here), ELECTRIC HYDRA will release their self-titled debut album on November 27th via Tee Pee Records/Majestic Mountain.

“‘Blackened Eyes’ was an older and completely different song at the start,” explains vocalist Sanne Karlsson. “It’s written in an ironic way about somebody who turned out to be really grumpy and bloody-minded after recently returning home from a US tour. The message in the text is that despite how much of a diva someone is, we are all going to end up looking the same way when we’re six feet under.”

Formed on the windswept West Coast of Sweden, amid the dark forests of Småland,

Electric Hydra – formed by Sanne Karlsson, Ellinor Andersson, Jonathan Möller and Jonny Petterson – first met on an impromptu night in late 2017. In doing so they discovered a connection; a newfound friendship through a shared of Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Entombed and Black Sabbath, and decided to book a rehearsal room the very next morning.

Known for delivering high energy shows, the band has played live at Sweden Rock Festival and Malmöfestivalen; toured Europe and shared stages with Lucifer, Monolord, Truckfighters and Greenleaf, among many others.

With Dennis Åhman being brought in to replace Petterson on drums, work on their debut began in early 2020 and continued throughout the COVID-19 pandemic at Shimmer Studios, Studio BO and Welfare Studios. Further reinforced with new recruits in Peter Söderberg and At the Gates/Bombs of Hades’ Jonas Stålhammar (following the departure of Jonathan Möller) the quintet is keen to prove exactly why they are considered one of the most exciting new acts on the Swedish rock scene.

YASHIRA RELEASES NEW TRACK/MUSIC VIDEO FOR "SHARDS OF HEAVEN"

"Shards of Heaven" from the album "Fail To Be" out December 11, 2020 on Good Fight Music. Pre-order LP / CD / Digital and exclusive merch here: https://orcd....

ALL-NEW LP FAIL TO BE OUT DECEMBER 11, 2020
VIA GOOD FIGHT MUSIC
PRE SAVES AVAILABLE NOW

September 25, 2020 -- YASHIRA has released an all-new track and music video today for their newest single "Shards of Heaven." The new song is the first to be released off their newly announced full-length LP Fail To Be, which is slated for release on December 11, 2020, via Good Fight Music. The music video for "Shards of Heaven" was directed by Cameron Nunez.

An exclusive Q&A with Metal Injection outlining the details can be seen here.

"The song is about how violence is used to gain power over people, and specific situations," says the band. "It's about how violence and power are used perpetually throughout history to create false realities for those safeguarded and protected from and by the violence."

Fail To Be is the anticipated follow up to Shrine, which garnered its own high praise when it was released in 2018. Metal Injection famously said, "Standing at six songs long and about 6,000 riffs, Yashira's Shrine will completely and utterly flatten you in every way possible throughout its runtime."

Fail To Be was produced by Greg Thomas (Misery Signals, Shai Hulud) and Yashira. Engineered and mixed by Greg Thomas and Chris Teti at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut. Pre saves and pre-orders are available today here.

The band continues, "Writing for this record began right after Shrine was released. Seth was still with us while we were writing for this; the sound was evolving a lot from the beginning stages up to when he passed. When we decided to move forward with Ryan, all we had were very blown-out voice memo recordings of the songs, so there was a lot of necessary reworking. For the tracks to be as good as they could be, we wrote to our chemistry and strengths with Ryan, and with a much more pinpointed idea of what we wanted out of our sound, we were able to get into a groove.

"Recording "Fail To Be" was a different experience for all of us. We'd never been in a studio setting like we were at Silver Bullet as far as putting aside three weeks to crank out a record. We learned a lot from working with Greg and Chris on so many different levels. This setting had us eating/sleeping/breathing this record, and that kind of environment brought out a focus none of us had ever known. We were all dialed in, and we think it shows. Us, Greg and Chris were able to create something we're all very proud of making."

Taken from the upcoming 2nd album "Black Majik Terror" Out 30th Oct 2020 on Napalm Records Pre-Order "Black Majik Terror" here: https://smarturl.it/BlackMaji...

Pre-Order Black Majik Terror HERE

New Zealand's speed metal overlords STÄLKER are returning with yet another lesson in raw and in-your-face heavy metal, breathing the spirit and danger of the glorious 80s.

Following 2019's globally acclaimed Powermad EP, the band's impatiently awaited second full-length album, Black Majik Terror, will be released on October 30, 2020 via Napalm Records.

As STÄLKER weaves through tales of darkness and the ever present evil in the world, they close Black Majik Terror with the monumental "Intruder". This track employs everything the band does well - from their exaggerated vocal style to rapidly executed riffs and is an exquisite culmination of STÄLKER's work leading to this point. Everything you want from Speed Metal can be found here.

"Intruder" is the second single being released off Black Majik Terror, following the anthemic "Of Steel And Fire". The song is accompanied by a raw tale of rabid outlaws tearing through a post apocalyptic hellscape - viewers are in for a real treat!

Black Majik Terror will available in various formats/editions (see below) - pre-order your copy HERE.

About STÄLKER:

Formed in 2016 in New Zealand’s capital, Wellington, STÄLKER quickly gained attention in the global metal scene with the release of their blistering three-track demo, 2016’s Satanic Panic, which sold close to a thousand cassettes and 7" copies in the blink of an eye: a staggering feat for any metal band from the southern hemisphere. Shortly after, being signed to Napalm Records now, STÄLKER set out to drop jaws with their much-anticipated full-length debut, Shadow of the Sword. The high-powered release shines a light on metal’s true lifeblood while showcasing STÄLKER’s strong melodic voice, mixing primeval thrash, punk, and spandex-and-leather-clad 80s metal influences into a relentless sonic attack. Followed by relentless tours around the globe and the release of critically acclaimed Powermad EP in 2019, STÄLKER went back to the rehearsal room to craft what will be known as their preliminary magnum opus as 2020 marks the electrifying arrival of STÄLKER's newest offering, Black Majik Terror. The trio wasted no time in disproving the lurking presence of the dreaded sophomore slump. Now the band is back with more speed, more power, and most importantly, more riffs. Black Majik Terror is a cacophony of speed metal mayhem sure to enchant any and all freaks, from the nefarious hordes of metalheads to the street side mobs of low down rock n rollers. With primal energy fueling their assault, Daif, Nick, and Chris put on a truly adept performance as they riddle their fans with a hail of piercing tracks that will leave the world in putrid flames. Black Majik Terror is here, and it is here to raise hell.

DEVILDRIVER Reveals Surreal Music Video for Anthemic New Single "Wishing"

Pre-order "Dealing With Demons I" here: https://smarturl.it/DealingWithDemonsI out October 2nd

Watch the New “Wishing” Music Video HERE

*NEW RELEASE DATE*

New Album, Dealing With Demons I, out October 2, 2020

Pre-Order HERE

Top-charting dark groove metal originators DEVILDRIVER will release part one of their highly-anticipated double album, Dealing With Demons I, on its new release date of October 2, 2020 via Napalm Records. Today, DEVILDRIVER continues to bestow fans with a steady stream of content leading up to the album's impending release – following up on standout singles “Keep Away From Me”"Iona" and "Nest Of Vipers" with their most heart-wrenchingly earnest offering to date, "Wishing".

As Dealing With Demons I explores the purging of a different demon per track, "Wishing" illustrates the theme of loss – more specifically, wishing a loved one would return. The clean vocals sung on "Wishing" mark frontman Dez Fafara's first in DEVILDRIVER history, harking back to his Goth roots. Influences of Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and more can be heard in Dez's brooding vocal delivery on the verses, while a heavy chorus punches with raw emotion as he screams, "wishing you were with me right now!"

The dreamlike official music video for "Wishing" – the band's most surreal visual yet – places each member of DEVILDRIVER in a nightmarish state, trying to physically reach their loved ones just to have them disappear once they've nearly grasped them. Echoing the lyrical themes of the track itself, Dez and his bandmates experience this loss again and again down an eerie rabbit hole, surrounded by faceless beings and distorted imagery.

The footage seen in the "Wishing" video was filmed in separate locations by each band member, with social distancing practiced as a top priority. The finished product was directed by Vicente Cordero/Industrialism Films.

Check out more videos from DevilDriver below:

"Keep Away From Me

"Iona"

"Nest of Vipers"

Dealing With Demons I marks the band’s first release of new, original material since 2016’s acclaimed Trust No One. This isn’t just the most vicious DEVILDRIVER material to date, but some of their most lethally memorable too. Produced and engineered by Steve Evetts with additional engineering from guitarist Mike Spreitzer, it’s a triumph of teamwork and tenacity. With new milestones like Dez Fafara’s eerie verses on “Wishing” and the frontman’s first co-authored lyric, Dealing With Demons I ferociously delivers the goods while kicking open several new doors for DEVILDRIVER to power through in the future. From the self-explanatory, explosive opener “Keep Away From Me” to the chilling imagery of “Iona” – both of which held DEVILDRIVER at #1 on the Metal Contraband charts for five weeks straight – this album is powerful evidence that Dez and his band mates have given DEVILDRIVER a volatile, visceral kick in the ass. Demons are getting dealt with in the harshest of manners.

Fans should be prepared for what is to come with the second volume of the double album, which promises to go even harder. This is a two-part acceleration into the future – after witnessing Dealing With Demons I, listeners will be clamoring for the second half!

Pre-Order Dealing With Demons I HERE

DEVILDRIVER is:

Dez Fafara - Vocals

Mike Spreitzer - Guitar

Neal Tiemann - Guitar

Diego "Ashes" Ibarra - Bass

Austin D'Amond – Drums

It will take place at the "Department of Prog, Synths and Riffs."

Moreover, the band has reissued 2017's 'Ghost Mile' as a digipak version, which contains three bonus tracks which were recorded during the VOYAGER show at ProgPower in 2017. It can be ordered HERE.

ICYMI: Earlier this year, VOYAGER's music video for "Runaway" was exclusively premiered via 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The video is now available worldwide and can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

Since their 1999 formation, whatever genre norms, boundaries and regulations thrust upon Perth, Australia’s Voyager have been smashed. They embrace, if not brandish pop; employ a keytar on stage, and, bring forward a positive, if not uplifting feeling to their music, running head-first into the endless parade of heavy bands who see the world in a different light. It’s perhaps why the title of their seventh full-length and first for Season of Mist, Colours in the Sun, is apropos: Voyager simply prefers to see the bright side of things.

“Observations of the malaises of the modern world and the baffling obsession with purity and difference all make me think,” says frontman and founding member Danny Estrin. “We’ve never had it better and we’ve never had it more colorful. To me that’s progress, it’s adaptation, it’s evolution and it’s astounding.”

The follow-up to 2017’s Ghost MileColours in the Sun finds Voyager enmeshed in rich, melodic, song-first tapestries, led by Estrin’s smooth, capable clean vocal delivery. Estrin is self-aware of his vocals, calling them “unique and ‘80s.” But whatever tag Estrin affixes to his voice, they are the propellent throughout Colours in the Sun, serving up a steady diet of soaring, emotive choruses, where melody is paramount and along the way, even getting some help from another distinctive belter, Leprous’s Einar Solberg on “Entropy.”

“Einar and I became good friends on our tours through Europe and Australia,” notes Estrin. “I couldn’t help but ask him to guest on the album. He is a fantastic musician and vocalist. I sent him a reference track which he swiftly ignored and laid his own tracks down. The result is stunning!”

The kaleidoscope of sounds that comprise the album’s ten cuts is the result of Voyager’s far-reaching influences, many of which go beyond the traditional realms of metal and rock. Estrin calls it “catchy at the top, proggy at the bottom, as if Dream Theater and Depeche Mode had a baby.” It’s almost as if the term “progressive” is too limiting for Voyager, particularly when the guitar tandem of Simone Dow and Scott Kay merge for complex rhythms while doing battle against Estrin’s vaudeville-like keyboards (!) on “Reconnected.”

The “proggy at the bottom” notice is served by way of the rhythm section of bassist Alex Canion and drummer Ashley Doodkorte, who stretch their musical tentacles across busy, active cuts such as “Saccharine Dream” and the syncopated “Water Over the Bridge.” “I think we found our ‘voice’ on V (2014) and have been building on that ever since,” says Estrin. “The synthwave prog sound is really something that has naturally developed and has been refined even more on the new album. Every record is progress — that’s what progressive music is all about!”

According to Estrin, the Colours in the Sun album title encompasses a “vibrant multitude of people coming together under the hot Australian sun to create a beautiful and colorful soundscape.” It’s capped off by artwork courtesy of Doodkorte, who made the piece out of photographs near his house in Perth. A closer inspection reveals there are seven suns on the cover, one for each Voyager album, topped off by an updated version of the band’s logo comprised of five strokes, one for each member. No doubt a fitting visual summation of a band whose progress can be the described in the most literal and figurative of terms.

“It’s been a slow steady growth over the years,” concludes Estrin. “Other bands come and go after a year of fame. I really feel like we’ve built up an incredible fanbase, especially over the last decade, and the deal with Season of Mist seemed the logical step to take it to the next level together.”

Intervals Return With Explosive New Single “5-HTP” Announce Ambitious New Album, Circadian

PRE-ORDER & STREAM : https://linktr.ee/intervals From the new album CIRCADIAN out everywhere November 13th, 2020 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aaronin...

Torchbearers of progressive, instrumental rock, Intervals, announced the next chapter in their artistic journey today via the explosive new single “5-HTP”. This latest offering finds Aaron Marshall - the creative force behind Intervals - exploring new sonic territory behind a massive wall of guitars, cannon-esque percussion, and a meticulous composition sure to excite the band’s longtime following while welcoming new fans into the fold. The unveiling of “5-HTP” came alongside news that the band’s highly anticipated upcoming fourth full length, Circadian, will be out November 13, 2020 and is available now for preorder. The studio documentary about the making of Circadian is also available to watch now on YouTube.

Quote from Aaron Marshall (Intervals):

"I'm so excited to be on the cusp of a new release! After 2.5 years of touring, and whatever the heck this year has been...here we are! 5-HTP is a concise introduction to the world of Circadian, and a quick taste of what this record has in store. As I was nearing the end of the writing process, I felt that the album needed an effective intro, and as a result, 5-HTP was born. I hope everyone enjoys this precursor to the journey ahead, and I can't wait to share more with everyone as we make our way towards the official drop!"

Circadian was co-produced by Marshall and fellow Torontonian, Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Obey The Brave, Like Pacific) - marking the first time the esteemed producer had ever worked on an instrumental record. It was also the first time that most of the work on an Intervals record was done locally in Toronto. As a result, Marshall had the opportunity to be more involved in the production and mixing process than ever before. Circadian is meant to be viewed as a singular piece, with obsessive attention paid to the flow of the record. It’s full of motifs, cadences, and themes that are revisited throughout the record and even recalled from previous releases. Circadian intentionally clocks in at 8 songs and roughly 40 minutes, as Marshall gave considerable thought to where the sweet spot between listener satisfaction and desire to immediately play it back was. Every minute detail surrounding the record has purpose, and builds towards an all encompassing experience.

About Intervals
Through the progressive, instrumental rock project, Intervals, Aaron Marshall has long been considered an innovator. He’s built a career on trusting his instincts, even when that intuition has led him down a road that is decidedly less traveled. That may mean tearing down genre norms, finding creative ways to interact with fans, or a commitment to self-releasing music even when label opportunities are readily available to him. Marshall has bet on himself continuously, and backed that gamble up with hard work, unparalleled creativity, and an uncompromising desire to make each Intervals release a pivotal moment in the lineage of instrumental rock. On Intervals’ latest record, Circadian, Marshall continues to push the limit at every turn, resulting in arguably the most dynamic record in the band’s highly-revered catalog.

OUR OCEANS SHARE NEW SINGLE 'THE HEART'S WHISPER'

Album "While Time Disappears" Coming November 27th!

Dutch rock trio Our Oceans share their new single 'The Heart's Whisper' along with a lyric video. It's the second single taken from their new album 'While Time Disappears' coming November 27, 2020 via Long Branch Records. 'The Heart's Whisper' is available now as stream and download at your favorite digital platform.

Listen to 'The Heart's Whisper' and pre-order the album 'While Time Disappears' here: https://ouroceans.lnk.to/whiletimedisappears

Singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier about 'The Heart's Whisper':

"The Heart’s Whisper is about navigating the space of being misunderstood by someone you love. Trying to explain to the best of your ability that your intentions are honorable, yet it doesn’t seem to get across, no matter how hard you try. And in the process, you’re actually starting to doubt whether or not you are interpreting the other’s persons thoughts and intentions accurately. Musically, I think this song is the closest to what we did on our debut album. It’s a relatively simple song, but at the same time, there’s a lot of depth to be found in this simplicity. It reminds me quite a bit of ‘What If’, in that sense."

Our Oceans were formed by singer & guitarist Tymon Kruidenier (Cynic, Exivious). Joining him on bass and drums are his former Exivious colleagues, Robin Zielhorst (Cynic, Onegodless) and Yuma van Eekelen (Quadvium, Pestilence).

Our Oceans’ inventive progressive rock centres on haunting vocal melodies that carry heartfelt cries of longing, anger and despair. Bolstered by lyrical fretless bass lines, vigorous drum beats and captivating guitar riffs, Our Oceans lace singer/songwriter influences with modern, progressive rock elements. Mindful musicianship and introspective lyrics are woven into a deeply melancholic, yet uniquely expansive musical universe.

THE DEAD DASIES KICK IT UP A GEAR AND RELEASE ‘BUSTLE AND FLOW’

After the global success of their first single, The Dead Daisies have been chomping at the bit to release ‘Bustle and Flow’, the next track from their upcoming album ‘Holy Ground’.

“Filled with energy and vigor, ‘Bustle and Flow’ emerged as one of the last tracks to make the cut. It builds and builds and has great movement.  It’s about walking through the fear,” says Glenn Hughes.

In a time surrounded with so much uncertainty, this track imparts a spirit and zest that should get you on your front foot, challenge your fears and back onto life’s battlefield …

David Lowy has this to say about the song: “I love the timing of the riff. It’s unusual and unexpected, kinda like a surprise. The chorus is a classic mix of Aussie rock (me), UK rock (Glenn) and US rock (Doug/Deen). It’s unmistakably borne out of the DNA of The Dead Daisies, pure badass rock."

A bespoke spellbinding animation, built in Unreal Engine for ‘Bustle and Flow’ has been created by Creative Works London, (live concert graphic artists for Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith, amongst others). It takes you on a journey through an animated ominous carnival, set against the backdrop of church ruins with a raven that’s sure to send a tingle up your spine.

The Animated Music Experience (A.M.E) will premiere on Thursday October 1st with louder.com - UK 5PM BST, classicrock.net EU 6PM CEST and ultimateclassicrock.comUS 12PM midday EST.

Holy Ground’ is the first collaboration, for Glenn, Doug, Deen and David, recorded at La Fabrique Studios in the South of France with producer Ben Grosse.  Glenn’s lyrics ‘In the white chateau in the bustle and flow’, pays homage to the historic studios.  The album ‘Holy Ground’ will be released January 22, 2021.

An initiative around Record Store Day in the US will see a limited edition 12” LP Vinyl available in stores on October 30th.  For those of you not in the US, stay tuned for more details.

Eager to get on the road again, the Daisies are heading to Europe in February & March 2021 to kick off their Get Out Of The House Tour, followed by a series of dates across the UK, US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Arenas with Foreigner, Judas Priest and the prestigious European summer festivals.

THE DEVIL'S TRADE Shares Live Performance Video for "Dead Sister"

Dark singer-songwriter act THE DEVIL'S TRADE is now streaming a brand new live video for the highly emotional track, "Dead Sister." The song is taken from TDT's debut album 'The Call of the Iron Peak,' which is out now. The video was recorded during the very special album release show in Budapest (HU) last month.

THE DEVIL'S TRADE comment on the video: "After a seven months long hiatus in playing live, especially in these times of uncertainty and resignation, stepping on a stage was such a moving experience! I know I am among the luckiest musicians to have the chance to do what I love the most and can't give enough thanks the people who made this possible. The venue Dürer Kert is one of the last independent underground facilities in Hungary that is home for so many musicians and music lovers since 2008. It is now the next victim of the greed of our government. Not only do we have all these beautiful memories of the concerts of the bands we admire or our own shows but a few hundred bands had their rehearsal places and studios here. Both of the last two The Devil's Trade albums were recorded here. This place was a shelter for us but we have to move out and the venue has a hopeless future too. The release show of 'The Call Of The Iron Peak' was the last one for me there."

'The Call of the Iron Peak' can be pre-ordered HERE.

Listen to the call of the Iron Peak. It is calling for you to find your true self in a world you want to be isolated from. It is calling for you to make peace with yourself, with the inevitable end. It is calling for Hungarian singer-songwriter Dávid Makó, who redefined himself as The Devil’s Trade a few years ago, embarking on a long journey with his deeply personal and dark, sometimes doom infused folk songs.

Be it the folk of the Appalachians or the tales of Hungarian and Transylvanian traditionals, The Devil’s Trade fuses his past of metal and his roots laying deep in the folk songs of his immediate surroundings.

Very much like how the Iron Peak, a mountaintop both metaphorical and literal is calling for Makó, he is calling for you to share his rituals of loves and hopes lost and found along the pilgrimage of his. It is after all, the journey itself that matters the most, and how you adapt. From basements in his hometown of Budapest, to all corners of Europe, stages small and big, The Devil’s Trade has been relentlessly walking on his path finding his voice and calling, and that is to let listeners to glimpse into himself through his heart wrenching songs.

His new album, and his debut for Season of Mist, titled ‘The Call of the Iron Peak’ is to be released August 28, 2020.

OBSIDIAN KINGDOM Streams Entire New Album

Barcelona's experimental rockers OBSIDIAN KINGDOM have partnered with Prog Magazine to stream their new album, 'MEAT MACHINE,' ahead of tomorrow's release!

The album can still be ordered HERE

The band comments: "The moment of truth has come! We wrote 'MEAT MACHINE' to find something within ourselves, but we did it for you. Not because we wanted to show you our insides, but rather to encourage you to undertake the same adventure. It is violent and disturbing, like cutting open a living thing; and also messy and painful, because we had to make up our surgical tools on the go. The results of the autopsy are thrilling, baffling and somewhat beautiful. Putting this together took a great deal of effort and suffering, and our trip wasn’t always funny. But we believe it was worth it, regardless of the outcome. So did we lose the plot, or have we discovered something new and exciting? Ride the machine and find out! "

'MEAT MACHINE' is a harsh sonic journey, abject and stentorian like a love letter from a school shooter. The perverse album is a rough drop into a nightmarish world of forbidden desires, frustrated sexual urges and the dark realms of the subconscious mind. The album art and track list can be found below.

Pre-orders for 'MEAT MACHINE' are now live HERE.

The cover artwork was created by Ritxi Ostáriz And Elena Gallén

Style: Experimental Rock / Post-Metal

“Proof that some of the best music does indeed elude easy classification" - POPMATTERS

OBSIDIAN KINGDOM is devoted to exploring the boundaries of rock music. The Barcelonan band defies classification to this very day, drawing equally on progressive rock, post-metal, alternative and electronic music. However hard to pigeonhole, it remains consistent with delivering exciting artistry that never fails to surprise its audience.

Forever on a restless journey to find its true identity, the quintet has been dubbed “the masters of every genre” by Metal Injection. Featuring a heavy and intense sound with plenty of contrast, its main features are the ability to portray a wide range of emotions through the use of multiple sonic resources, a deep interest in aesthetics and the sombre quality of the lyrical topics.

‘MEAT MACHINE’ is an exercise in self-discovery, through a head-first plunge into the anxiety derived from sexual frustration, the absurd of reality and the inherent cruelty of a mechanized world. It is a demanding album that reads as an emotional roller-coaster, featuring an abrasive and overwhelming sound that draws equally from noise and art rock, post metal and late 90s alternative music.
