Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of “Always The Villain”, the debut album from Michael Grant & The Assassins, on July 10, 2020. Michael Grant & The Assassins play a diverse and exciting brand of hard rock music incorporating elements from alternative rock and metal, while exploring different textures, genres, and influences. Band mastermind Michael Grant (who plays all instruments on the album) creates a sound that is intense, heavily melodic, and anthemic. First single, and music video, 'Red Light Run' is a great illustration of this.

Of the making of the album, Grant says, "It took well over a year to record “Always The Villain”. There was such a massive learning curve in the actual recording process for me to be able to deliver. I had to write, arrange, record, produce everything as well as play all of the instruments myself. I believe recording this way truly helped in bringing to fruition my full musical vision and signature sound. I couldn’t be more happy with the end results and I really loved recording this way."

On first single and video, 'Red Light Run', Grant says it is "about a beautiful, broken-hearted girl's backfiring tale of revenge by way of sex, drugs and excess. Of course the song goes even deeper than that and the video is suggestive of all of this." 

In the works since 2018, "Always The Villain" is a labor of love for this established talent. Prior to The Assassins, Grant was the creative driving force behind Endeverafter, a Sacramento based alternative/hard rock band signed to Epic Records in the early ‘00s. Handling vocals, lead guitars, and songwriting, Grant released two albums with the band before disbanding them in 2012. Grant then served as touring guitarist for LA Guns for five years and also recorded one album with the band. Prince, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Guns 'N Roses, David Bowie, Tom Petty, and In Flames are all influences on Grant and informed the sound of "Always The Villain". Grant is now focused full-time on The Assassins, who have already played shows in the US, including a performance on the Monsters of Rock Cruise 2019. The band plans to get out and play shows again, once we’ve all returned to a sense of normalcy, of course.

VIRGIN STEELE Release New Video Clips "Kingdom of the Fearless" (Live Video) & "Bonedust" (Orchestral Video)

Heavy metal outfit VIRGIN STEELE are pleased to share more new content with their fans. The New York-based band led by vocalist David DeFeis is currently in the studio working on their new studio album (which is expected to see a 2020 release), but in the meantime the group has steadily put out new videos inspired by their past releases. This go around, they are revisiting "Kingdom of the Fearless" from 'The House of Atreus, Act 1' and "Bonedust" from 'Visions of Eden'. Speaking on the former, De Fais shares,

"About a week ago we were asked to contribute a very short 'Greeting/Shout Out' to the KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL audience, which we did. Well immediately after completing that 'Greeting' in which I used part of the song 'KINGDOM OF THE FEARLESS', I thought 'By the thunder of Zeus, I’m already halfway there! Why don’t I complete the whole song??' So I carried on working and now we have the full-length video for 'KINGDOM OF THE FEARLESS' using rehearsal footage, live footage, and some still photos, I believe we have crafted something that both reflects the energy of the song, and invokes the mood of where this song came from…our album 'THE HOUSE OF ATREUS - ACT 1'.” 

Never ones to rest our their laurels, VIRGIN STEELE is also releasing a video for the orchestral version of their song "Bonedust" from the album 'Visions of Eden'. De Fais adds, 

"I wrote this song for the 'VISIONS OF EDEN' album, where it appears with the instrumentation of vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. The version presented in the video here is quite different. This is the live orchestral take that appeared on the 'GHOST HARVEST VINTAGE 1 (Black Wine For Mourning)' album. This song acts as a “bridge” between those three 'VISIONS OF EDEN' clips we just issued on video a week or so ago, and what will be forthcoming in the next week or two."

"This version of 'BONEDUST' was actually recorded during those live sessions for the 'GOTHIC VOODOO ANTHEMS' album, but I chose to put it on 'GHOST HARVEST', as it seemed to fit nicely in between the tracks 'PSYCHIC SLAUGHTER' and 'HEARTS ON FIRE'. Using vocals, piano, some angry cellos, keyboards and orchestral percussion, this is a very different take on the song. This version presents the more Bluesy Voodoo-esque side of the track as well as the Gothic, Barbaric-Romantic nature of what we do. We wanted to strip things down to their basic raw essence and present a different view. We carried that idea forward and continued working with these concepts for all the 'GOTHIC VOODOO ANTHEMS' album tracks."

Featuring founding members Chip Z’nuff and Alex Kane (LSD), Tory Stoffregen and Daniel Benjamin Hill,Enuff Z’Nuff’s new studio release, “Brainwashed Generation” showcases a diverse collection of songs that demonstrate the progression of musical styles in the Enuff Z’nuff catalog, all while retaining the undercurrent that has kept them a loyal fanbase since the ‘80s. The album also features guest appearances from original frontman and guitarist Donnie Vie ("Strangers In My Head") as well as guest appearances from Mike Portnoy, and Daxx Nielsen (Cheap Trick).

Of the new album, Chip Z'nuff says, “This batch of songs are simply gifts from above via a plethora of influences. There's certainly plenty of fodder at this unprecedented time in our world.”

He continues, “We recorded the album in few interesting locations. Stonecutters Studio in downtown Chicago, Chris Steinmantz’s studio (White Lion, Styx), which was a ghost town, and my studio on the Southside that was filled with extracurricular activities during the whole process.”

On working with guest musicians, “Fabulous rock musicians came by during these sessions to lend their magnificent skills such as members of Cheap Trick (Daxx Nielsen), Mike Portnoy (Sons of Apollo, Winery Dogs), and Steve Ramone.”

The band plans to tour the U.S. and Europe in support of "Brainwashed Generation", once conditions allow touring activity to resume safely for fans and artists alike. 

Originally formed in 1984 in Chicago, IL, the band received their big break in 1989 when they signed to Atco/Atlantic Records. Their self-titled debut album was a monster hit and spawned two evergreen singles, “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle”. Both received constant airplay on radio and heavy rotation on MTV, spending over 60 weeks in the Top 10. 1991 saw the band release their sophomore album, “Strength”. The album had more of a hard rock overtone and sustained the success achieved on the first album. The band made high profile television and radio appearances on the likes of David Letterman and Howard Stern and were featured in Rolling Stone’s Hot Issue as ‘The Next Big Thing'. The band soldiered on during the new musical climates of the ‘90s and went on to release another over a dozen more studio records.

This time around, we put a bit more focus on vocals and adding flourishes to the album, but still recorded the whole thing live in the studio with relatively few overdubs. "Lost, till You" could seem relatively ambiguous as if it were just another relationship song... 
However ,for me, the lyrics reflect redemption and a feeling of despair until Christ came into my life, and all of the different things that I tried to do to fill the void until he was present in me.

Architect Within is a Christ centered rock band formed in 2019 by Tim Jones and Aaron Davenport, sparked by Tim's Christian conversion in late 2014. Architect Within is fronted by Tim, a passion driven singer/songwriter playing bass/guitar ,while Aaron is a known shredder guitarist who's chops are second to none. "With our first release in over three years, we are excited to premier the first of a series of music videos we will be releasing in the near future to support our upcoming EP “Catalyst.” This song titled “Where We Found Hope” is dedicated to the healing power of music for those who sometimes receive the right message at the right time that helps them overcome some form of struggle in their lives. It also represents a call to all musicians that no matter how discouraged the world around us may make us feel about our desire to make music, the internal drive to do so can often be something positive for others listening (including ourselves). Lastly, with this video we also suggest that musical expression is something musicians should continuously pursue no matter what entities regulate how the general public consumes media and/or art. With regards to the video, this first release will represent the first segment of a connected five-part story with each song representing a new chapter in the central characters lives while also tying in the message of each song" says the band.

They continue, "In general, this EP will very much represent a sonic evolution compared to our previous releases. The present lineup for the band “Hindsight” re-formed in 2013 following the release of their full length album titled Momentum including founding members Brad Lambert (Vocals/Guitars) and Andrew Jastram (Guitars) who had been playing together since the early 00s. Following the entrance of bass player Jesse Huerta and drummer Lincoln LaCour, the band set out on a series of national tours between 2013-2019 while also releasing a singled titled “Ashes” in 2017. Stylistically, Hindsight's music has always combined 90's alternative rock with modern heavy metal and metalcore. This has lead the band to be highly adaptable to various live performing environments. With the release of their new concept EP Catalyst set to be released late Summer 2020, the band will yet again be expanding and exploring their sound while also carefully playing to the themes they have set to explore with the upcoming release.

The band was originally set to begin a tour to support the new single release and upcoming EP starting in the middle of May 2020 into mid-June. However, due to COVID-19, they are currently in the process of rescheduling concert dates with select live performances and touring in the fall to support their new EP release.

“This video took on an entirely new life as I was editing it in quarantine. As you’ll clearly see when you watch, we put a lot of time and effort into all the details… it was almost eerie how much of it reflected what was coming just weeks after filming.’ Steven Nathan says when describing the making of the "Living Like This” video.

Don't Believe In Ghosts teamed up with 8-time Grammy-winning mixer Ken Lewis for their single "Don't Wake Me Up". The song's video featured famed comedic actor Gilbert Gottfried. "Don't Wake Me Up" earned more than one million retail and radio plays. In 2019 Don't Believe In Ghosts sold out their first headlining show at New York City's Bowery Ballroom. In the summer of 2019, the band embarked on their first U.S. tour.

POP EVIL RELEASES TWO NEW SINGLES "LET THE CHAOS REIGN" AND "WORK" PREPARING NEW ALBUM FOR 2020

April 30, 2020 - Michigan's own, POP EVIL, have released two new singles "Let The Chaos Reign"  and "Work", marking the first taste of new music from the band since their Pop Evil full-length in 2018. The new tracks arrive as a twin assault of invigorating readymade hits for 2020, from a forthcoming album filled to the brim with a dozen tracks each worthy of a dedicated spotlight. “Let the Chaos Reign” is the heaviest single the band has ever dropped, a rousing fight song of self-determination and rising to meet any challenge with courage and strength. By contrast, “Work” puts its heavy guitars atop grooving rhythmic punch, as it champions the working-class heroes struggling to persevere across all industries today.  
 
Speaking on the new singles and upcoming album, frontman and band founder Leigh Kakaty stated:

“We won’t bore people with the same song over and over. When you come to our live show, we feel like there should be an ebb and flow, peaks and valleys, that are similar to real life. Sometimes you’re up, sometimes you’re down. We like to take people on a journey when they listen to our music or come to see us live.” 
 

POP EVIL has been a staple at major festivals and in theaters and clubs for over a  decade, despite the group’s relative youth. Canadian Chaos Black Metal extremists REVENGE return with 'Strike.Smother.Dehumanize', the follow up to their 2015 album 'Behold.Total.Rejection'. Brooklyn-based industrial outfit FELLAHIN FALL has released a new single from their upcoming studio album, 'Tar a-Kan'. Founded by songwriter Nodar Khutortsov in the summer of 2018, Fellahin Fall was initially conceived of as a synth-centered darkwave project. Through many iterations of the music, the group would evolve into the the gothic-industrial band it is today. Patrick Reilly of Tengger Cavalry, drummer Eugene Bell and rhythm guitarist Raphael Pinsker of Fin’amor, and bassist Mark Morrill complete the lineup. Fellahin Fall's self-titled EP was released in November of 2019. The band's music is written from and influenced by the backdrop of South Brooklyn. Themes of dragons and Scandinavian forests are nowhere to be found here. Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce that Latvian hard rockers Bloody Heels will release their new album, "Ignite The Sky" on July 10, 2020. Today, the band has premiered the first single and video from the album, 'Criminal Masterminds'

“Ignite the Sky” has some pretty heavy songs, but at the same time there’s plenty of melodic stuff, harmonies and big choruses. I like to call this album ‘Dark AOR’, haha! We managed to blend everything we love about music, to be honest. But one thing is for sure, we’ve never felt such a strong connection with the songs before,” says singer Vicky White of the upcoming album.

Regarding the first single, White continues, "'Criminal Masterminds' is definitely one of our heaviest songs to date. It was also one of the last songs we wrote for the album, just a month or so before we headed to the studio. Me and Harry were waiting on the other guys in our rehearsal room, messing around with some different guitar tunings and came up with the main riff. Then Gus and Gunn came and the rest is history. It's one of those songs that came together in just a couple of hours. We wanted to release this song as the first single because I think that it captures what Bloody Heels is about now. It's a bit heavier and more in your face, but still quite melodic, with a big chorus and lots of harmonies. It's quite different from anything what we've done before, but doesn't abandon who we are."

"We made the music video with Ivo Skanstins (director) and his team, which was a no-brainer as we'd done two videos together already that we were really happy with. He knows us well and we know him well. It was filmed in one day right before our European tour last October. A magical day for us, really. I also want to give a big thanks to all the people that were involved in the video and who volunteered their time and talent. We filmed the video outside in quite cold weather while the water was pouring on us was FREEZING. Luckily, we didn't got sick because we had to leave for tour 48 hours later," explains White.

Adds White, "I also want to say that of course we all know what's happening right now in the world. Hopefully we can cheer some people up with this song and video! We have to remember that we are all one in spirit and the only way we're gonna crawl out of this mess is together! Stay home, stay healthy, and keep up the positive vibes!"

Latvian hard rockers Bloody Heels recently joined the Frontiers label’s rapidly expanding pool of young talent and one listen to their debut album will easily explain why the label HAD to sign them up. With nods to the great ‘80s hard rock scene, but also bordering on heavy metal (listen to those kicks drums on first single ‘Criminal Masterminds’), this band is a delightful mix of catchy and driving. With a great whisky-soaked sounding throat, vocalist Vicky White provides the perfect voice for the thunder and lightning that guitarist Harry Rivers, bassist Gunn Everett, and drummer Gus Hawk are raining down upon us.

Formed in 2012 in Riga, Latvia, Bloody Heels have a musical style that could be best described as a sort of missing link between Crashdïet and Crazy Lixx, with heavier elements like early W.A.S.P. and Kissin’ Dynamite. The band have already made a name for themselves with the EP 'Summer Nights' (2014) and the album 'Through Mystery' (2017). The story behind MaelstroM and their upcoming debut full-length is parts both uncommon and unbelievable. Forged in the late 80's from a friendship between lead vocalist Gary Vosganian and guitarist Joey Lodes, the band emerged from the Long Island scene and quickly began to gain notoriety on the national level. However, despite a pair of highly acclaimed early demos to their credit, MaelstroM would enter an indefinite hiatus in the 90's as the music industry further turned its attention away from the heavy metal renaissance of the 80's to the Seattle grunge movement.

Now, more than three decades later, MaelstroM have emerged from their untimely end; ready to unveil their debut LP, 'Of Gods And Men,' while leaving no stone unturned on the 69 minute, three-act epic. A journey that began some 32 years ago in a humble basement finally reaches its much needed culmination.

storm surge by quickly dominating their local scene of Long Island, New York. Within a

few years they expanded beyond regional borders and began to gain worldwide

Comes. It represents a further step in the band’s evolution beyond their superlative

2008 EP It Was Predestined, which charted CMJ Top 20 as an independent and was

recognized on Terrorizer Magazine’s coveted annual ranking of “best unsigned bands”.

'Of Gods And Men' delivers a 69 minute album of such complexity and decades-intense

planning, that it can hardly be considered simply a collective of ten songs.

“There was always a very cinematic pageantry to what we were looking to do,”

continues Gary. “The idea was to create a cinematic vision, more than simply individual

songs. It is meant to be a whole piece, conceptual in all aspects and truly an album,

which we consider to be ‘an abandoned art’ these days”.
