In the darkest of years, MOONSPELL have announced that they will perform a special live Halloween show, taking place in the South of Portugal in an ancient town named Beja, on October 31, 2020! At the local theatre Pax Julia, originally built in 1928, the band will deliver their annual and own brand of Halloween to the world: An exclusive, socially distanced live concert for 300 guests that can also be witnessed virtually by the wolfpack worldwide, who have been scattered and lying in wait for this to happen since lockdown began.

Under a full moon, the show will begin at 1:30 PM PDT/4:30 PM EDT. MOONSPELL will put an amazing show, host a once-in-a-lifetime production and give fans the chance to watch LIVE + COMMENT!

As mentioned, the show will be limited to 300 guests at the historic location of the theatre in Beja, which is considered a low-risk territory. Regardless, the show will run under strict hygiene guidelines and precautions, with a minimum social distance requirement of 1.5-2m, and attendees will be required to wear masks onsite.

MOONSPELL have witnessed firsthand that Portugal is at the front of the charge when it comes to organizing safe shows in these uncertain times. As the band just shared their first live experiences online: "Under a beautiful Portuguese sky we returned to our live performances. September 25, 2020 -- YASHIRA has released an all-new track and music video today for their newest single "Shards of Heaven." The new song is the first to be released off their newly announced full-length LP Fail To Be, which is slated for release on December 11, 2020, via Good Fight Music. The music video for "Shards of Heaven" was directed by Cameron Nunez.

"The song is about how violence is used to gain power over people, and specific situations," says the band. "It's about how violence and power are used perpetually throughout history to create false realities for those safeguarded and protected from and by the violence."

Fail To Be is the anticipated follow up to Shrine, which garnered its own high praise when it was released in 2018. Metal Injection famously said, "Standing at six songs long and about 6,000 riffs, Yashira's Shrine will completely and utterly flatten you in every way possible throughout its runtime." 

Fail To Be was produced by Greg Thomas (Misery Signals, Shai Hulud) and Yashira. Engineered and mixed by Greg Thomas and Chris Teti at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut. Pre saves and pre-orders are available today here.

The band continues, "Writing for this record began right after Shrine was released. Seth was still with us while we were writing for this; the sound was evolving a lot from the beginning stages up to when he passed. When we decided to move forward with Ryan, all we had were very blown-out voice memo recordings of the songs, so there was a lot of necessary reworking. For the tracks to be as good as they could be, we wrote to our chemistry and strengths with Ryan, and with a much more pinpointed idea of what we wanted out of our sound, we were able to get into a groove.

"Recording "Fail To Be" was a different experience for all of us. We'd never been in a studio setting like we were at Silver Bullet as far as putting aside three weeks to crank out a record. We learned a lot from working with Greg and Chris on so many different levels. This setting had us eating/sleeping/breathing this record, and that kind of environment brought out a focus none of us had ever known. We were all dialed in, and we think it shows. Us, Greg and Chris were able to create something we're all very proud of making."

Top-charting dark groove metal originators DEVILDRIVER will release part one of their highly-anticipated double album, Dealing With Demons I, on its new release date of October 2, 2020 via Napalm Records. Today, DEVILDRIVER continues to bestow fans with a steady stream of content leading up to the album's impending release – following up on standout singles “Keep Away From Me”, "Iona" and "Nest Of Vipers" with their most heart-wrenchingly earnest offering to date, "Wishing".

As Dealing With Demons I explores the purging of a different demon per track, "Wishing" illustrates the theme of loss – more specifically, wishing a loved one would return. The clean vocals sung on "Wishing" mark frontman Dez Fafara's first in DEVILDRIVER history, harking back to his Goth roots. Influences of Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and more can be heard in Dez's brooding vocal delivery on the verses, while a heavy chorus punches with raw emotion as he screams, "wishing you were with me right now!"

The dreamlike official music video for "Wishing" – the band's most surreal visual yet – places each member of DEVILDRIVER in a nightmarish state, trying to physically reach their loved ones just to have them disappear once they've nearly grasped them. Echoing the lyrical themes of the track itself, Dez and his bandmates experience this loss again and again down an eerie rabbit hole, surrounded by faceless beings and distorted imagery.

The footage seen in the "Wishing" video was filmed in separate locations by each band member, with social distancing practiced as a top priority. The finished product was directed by Vicente Cordero/Industrialism Films.

Australian electro prog sensation VOYAGER has announced an online concert! The show, which was filmed in the band's hometown of Perth (AUS), will be streaming via the Veeps Platform on October 11, 2020 at 7:00 A.M. EDT and will exist until November 1. The show, dubbed “Voyager Biosecurity (Human Biosecurity Emergency) (Human Coronavirus with Pandemic Potential) (Overseas Travel Ban Emergency Requirements)Determination (Cth) Online Show 2020," has been named after the legislation that was passed in Australia that is preventing the band from touring. It will take place at the "Department of Prog, Synths and Riffs."

'Colours in the Sun' was recently the winner of The Independent Music Award in the Rock/Hard Rock Album category. The record was released in November of 2019 and landed a coveted #1 placement on the Australian Independent Albums chart! ICYMI: Earlier this year, VOYAGER's music video for "Runaway" was exclusively premiered via 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The video is now available worldwide and can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

Since their 1999 formation, whatever genre norms, boundaries and regulations thrust upon Perth, Australia’s Voyager have been smashed. They embrace, if not brandish pop; employ a keytar on stage, and, bring forward a positive, if not uplifting feeling to their music, running head-first into the endless parade of heavy bands who see the world in a different light. It’s perhaps why the title of their seventh full-length and first for Season of Mist, Colours in the Sun, is apropos: Voyager simply prefers to see the bright side of things.

“Observations of the malaises of the modern world and the baffling obsession with purity and difference all make me think,” says frontman and founding member Danny Estrin. “We’ve never had it better and we’ve never had it more colorful. To me that’s progress, it’s adaptation, it’s evolution and it’s astounding.”

The follow-up to 2017’s Ghost Mile, Colours in the Sun finds Voyager enmeshed in rich, melodic, song-first tapestries, led by Estrin’s smooth, capable clean vocal delivery. Estrin is self-aware of his vocals, calling them “unique and ‘80s.” But whatever tag Estrin affixes to his voice, they are the propellent throughout Colours in the Sun, serving up a steady diet of soaring, emotive choruses, where melody is paramount and along the way, even getting some help from another distinctive belter, Leprous’s Einar Solberg on “Entropy.”  
 
“Einar and I became good friends on our tours through Europe and Australia,” notes Estrin. “I couldn’t help but ask him to guest on the album. He is a fantastic musician and vocalist. I sent him a reference track which he swiftly ignored and laid his own tracks down. The result is stunning!”
 
The kaleidoscope of sounds that comprise the album’s ten cuts is the result of Voyager’s far-reaching influences, many of which go beyond the traditional realms of metal and rock. Estrin calls it “catchy at the top, proggy at the bottom, as if Dream Theater and Depeche Mode had a baby.” It’s almost as if the term “progressive” is too limiting for Voyager, particularly when the guitar tandem of Simone Dow and Scott Kay merge for complex rhythms while doing battle against Estrin’s vaudeville-like keyboards (!) on “Reconnected.”

The “proggy at the bottom” notice is served by way of the rhythm section of bassist Alex Canion and drummer Ashley Doodkorte, who stretch their musical tentacles across busy, active cuts such as “Saccharine Dream” and the syncopated “Water Over the Bridge.” “I think we found our ‘voice’ on V (2014) and have been building on that ever since,” says Estrin. “The synthwave prog sound is really something that has naturally developed and has been refined even more on the new album. Every record is progress — that’s what progressive music is all about!”
 
According to Estrin, the Colours in the Sun album title encompasses a “vibrant multitude of people coming together under the hot Australian sun to create a beautiful and colorful soundscape.” It’s capped off by artwork courtesy of Doodkorte, who made the piece out of photographs near his house in Perth. A closer inspection reveals there are seven suns on the cover, one for each Voyager album, topped off by an updated version of the band’s logo comprised of five strokes, one for each member. No doubt a fitting visual summation of a band whose progress can be the described in the most literal and figurative of terms.
 
“It’s been a slow steady growth over the years,” concludes Estrin. “Other bands come and go after a year of fame. I really feel like we’ve built up an incredible fanbase, especially over the last decade, and the deal with Season of Mist seemed the logical step to take it to the next level together.”

This latest offering finds Aaron Marshall - the creative force behind Intervals - exploring new sonic territory behind a massive wall of guitars, cannon-esque percussion, and a meticulous composition sure to excite the band’s longtime following while welcoming new fans into the fold. The unveiling of “5-HTP” came alongside news that the band’s highly anticipated upcoming fourth full length, Circadian, will be out November 13, 2020 and is available now for preorder. Circadian was co-produced by Marshall and fellow Torontonian, Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Obey The Brave, Like Pacific) - marking the first time the esteemed producer had ever worked on an instrumental record. It was also the first time that most of the work on an Intervals record was done locally in Toronto. As a result, Marshall had the opportunity to be more involved in the production and mixing process than ever before. Circadian is meant to be viewed as a singular piece, with obsessive attention paid to the flow of the record. It’s full of motifs, cadences, and themes that are revisited throughout the record and even recalled from previous releases. Circadian intentionally clocks in at 8 songs and roughly 40 minutes, as Marshall gave considerable thought to where the sweet spot between listener satisfaction and desire to immediately play it back was. Every minute detail surrounding the record has purpose, and builds towards an all encompassing experience.

"The Heart’s Whisper is about navigating the space of being misunderstood by someone you love. Trying to explain to the best of your ability that your intentions are honorable, yet it doesn’t seem to get across, no matter how hard you try. And in the process, you’re actually starting to doubt whether or not you are interpreting the other’s persons thoughts and intentions accurately. Musically, I think this song is the closest to what we did on our debut album. It’s a relatively simple song, but at the same time, there’s a lot of depth to be found in this simplicity. It reminds me quite a bit of ‘What If’, in that sense."

A bespoke spellbinding animation, built in Unreal Engine for ‘Bustle and Flow’ has been created by Creative Works London, (live concert graphic artists for Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith, amongst others). It takes you on a journey through an animated ominous carnival, set against the backdrop of church ruins with a raven that’s sure to send a tingle up your spine.

‘Holy Ground’ is the first collaboration, for Glenn, Doug, Deen and David, recorded at La Fabrique Studios in the South of France with producer Ben Grosse.  Glenn’s lyrics ‘In the white chateau in the bustle and flow’, pays homage to the historic studios.  The album ‘Holy Ground’ will be released January 22, 2021.

An initiative around Record Store Day in the US will see a limited edition 12” LP Vinyl available in stores on October 30th.  For those of you not in the US, stay tuned for more details.

Eager to get on the road again, the Daisies are heading to Europe in February & March 2021 to kick off their Get Out Of The House Tour, followed by a series of dates across the UK, US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Arenas with Foreigner, Judas Priest and the prestigious European summer festivals.

Dark singer-songwriter act THE DEVIL'S TRADE is now streaming a brand new live video for the highly emotional track, "Dead Sister." THE DEVIL'S TRADE comment on the video: "After a seven months long hiatus in playing live, especially in these times of uncertainty and resignation, stepping on a stage was such a moving experience! I know I am among the luckiest musicians to have the chance to do what I love the most and can't give enough thanks the people who made this possible. The venue Dürer Kert is one of the last independent underground facilities in Hungary that is home for so many musicians and music lovers since 2008. It is now the next victim of the greed of our government. Not only do we have all these beautiful memories of the concerts of the bands we admire or our own shows but a few hundred bands had their rehearsal places and studios here. Both of the last two The Devil's Trade albums were recorded here. This place was a shelter for us but we have to move out and the venue has a hopeless future too. The release show of 'The Call Of The Iron Peak' was the last one for me there."

Only a year after the full-length debut record, the French black metal band VOUS AUTRES return with their second album. ‘Sel de Pierre’ represents a shimmer of hope among the vast, dark soundscapes that this modern post black metal duo creates.
 
VOUS AUTRES is a two-headed post metal / black metal band hailing from Nantes, France. As enigmatic as it gets, the duo creates a dark, ambient, and tormented sound, blended into the everlasting retrieval of what seems forever lost to human's inherent evil.

Formed in 2017, band members ₣ and β introduced the world to their experimental and modern take on black metal with the debut EP ‘Trente Pièces d’Argent’.

Two years later, the transcendental and epic sophomore record ‘Champ du Sang’ (2019) followed. Always summoning the darkest and most sublime melody, VOUS AUTRES battled with their demons through powerful riffs and breakdowns, sounding like the trample of the marching feet of a thousand-men army, ready to engage in a one-way fight against their enemy.
