The up and coming experimental duo combine the ferocious sounds of black metal with the street vibes of trap, tinges of industrial, and out-of-the-box instrumentation, creating a sound that is wholly unique and groundbreaking that you must hear it for yourself to truly grasp the artistic genius behind the Belarusian outfit. Welcome to the unnerving and anger driven world of MORA PROKAZA where madness reigns! Just like MORA PROKAZA, the upcoming new opus ‘By Chance’ cannot be contained nor be put in one single musical category. A mixture between Avant Garde Black Metal meets New School Trap, integrated with the Belarusian arts roots that lay so deep within.

The band with the cunning name MORA PROKAZA was formed back in 2013 by Farmakon (guitars, vocals) and Isvind (drums). Both musicians have a long-term experience of playing in many local Belarusian extreme metal bands. The material for the first release “Bringer of Plague” was quickly composed and released in early 2015 and with that, MORA PROKAZA shared Russian stages with bands such as HELL SPIRIT, SUSPERIA, DARKEND, CLAYMORDS, MORIBUND OBLIVION and many others. In the winter of 2015, the band even supported INQUISITION in St. Petersburg (RU).

Shortly after the release of their debut album, Isvind leaves MORA PROKAZAand furious drummer Hatestorm joins the band commencing the recording of new material. With the addition of Hatestorm, the band opened up for new opportunities and In May 2015 the musicians present a brand-new EP "My Awakening" shorty followed by a new full-length "Dark Universe" (2016).

In 2018 MORA PROKAZA completely changed their approach to composing and sound concept and with the release of the single ‘Blacker than Black’, the band reinvented themselves with great feedback from fans all around the world. The band set out for new musical horizons and started recording a brand-new full length after signing a deal with Season of Mist.

Take what you will from ‘By Chance’. The underlying aggression in its purest form or perhaps the philosophical glance towards spiritual growth. In the end, WIMG?

ÁRSTÍÐIR redefine their sound and take an evolutionary quantum leap that will catapult the eclectic Icelandic band from a highly praised phenomenon at the fringe straight to the centre of international attention. ÁRSTÍÐIR were never an ugly duckling, but now their musical swan has emerged in its full glorious beauty on 'Nivalis'.

The Icelanders have never easily fit into any stylistic drawer and hence attracted a particular long list of attempts of a musical definition that ranges from indie rock via progressive rock, indie folk, chamber folk and pop, neo-classical to minimalism.

There is some truth in all these categories assigned to ÁRSTÍÐIR, but no single description entirely catches their overall sound entirely. Always something else is appearing that is adding and contradicting the first impression. Although everything said above about the band still remains true, new elements appear on 'Nivalis' that add up to a big change. One of these items can easily be identified as drums playing a much stronger role than it did on previous releases, which is a welcome side-effect of ÁRSTÍÐIR recently supporting label-mates SÓLSTAFIR on their extended European tour. Other changes are harder to specify, yet the Icelanders seem to have turned all those switches into the right direction – and not only due to a brilliant, crystalline, warm, and transparent production that perfectly brings together the dominant acoustic instruments with their electronic counterparts to evoke a fragile melancholy and embracing emotionality.

Those inevitable comparisons with fellow countrymen SIGUR RÓS will most likely not go away with 'Nivalis', although ÁRSTÍÐIR have clearly developed a style very much their own. Yet other parallels drawn about past references such as SIMON & GARFUNKEL or PENTANGLE are bound to make way to fresher and more recent names pointing way past the also previously mentioned RADIOHEAD.

ÁRSTÍÐIR emerged from the burgeoning Icelandic music scene in 2008, when the band's three founding members discovered their mutual love for vocal harmonies despite coming from different genres. Daniel, Gunnar and Ragnar quickly went from playing acoustic cover versions to leaving their own sonic footprint by amalgamating influences taken from different styles into something quite unique, which might tentatively be dubbed "Icelandic independent".

With early lyrical references pointing towards the spectacular nature and scenery of this volcanic island and the strongly contrasting moods of its seasons, the band took the name ÁRSTÍÐIR, which means "seasons" in Icelandic.

At home, the band experienced a fast rise. Only four months after its inception, ÁRSTÍÐIR had risen from performing in a coffee shop in Reykjavik to scoring a number one hit on national radio with the track "Sunday Morning".

The Icelanders published their self-titled debut, 'Árstíðir' in summer 2009, and while their home country was reeling from the market crash, the band's stocks went up. During the air traffic disrupting eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano, ÁRSTÍÐIR embarked on their first international tour. Over the next years, the band stayed continuously on the road and gathered a dedicated fan base in more than 30 countries.

Their second album, 'Svefns Og Vöku Skil' followed in 2011 and, only a year later, the Icelanders won the prestigious Eiserner Eversteiner European Folk Music Award in Germany. While on the road in Germany in 2013, a friend of ÁRSTÍÐIR recorded an impromptu performance of the old Icelandic hymn, "Heyr Himna Smiður" in a train station, which went viral on YouTube and has attracted more than 6 million views to date. Backed by the interest sparked by this global hit, ÁRSTÍÐIR continued their head-lining tours and furthermore supported Swedish band PAIN OF SALVATION and Dutch vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen.

ÁRSTÍÐIR launched a highly successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014 to finance the recording of their third full-length 'Hvel', which translates as "spheres". Following the release, the band embarked on a first US tour that reached from coast to coast. A full collaboration with Anneke van Giersbergen followed in 2016. The 'Verloren Verleden' album contains a collection of re-imagined traditional and classical songs.

Now the Icelanders return with their fourth album. 'Nivalis' offers everything that followers of ÁRSTÍÐIR love, but with this stunning masterpiece the band transcends all limitations created by genre to appeal to any friend of great music!

Danny De La Rosa premiered his video game themed music video for single "It's Alright It's Okay" off of his latest album 12 Weekends

"This song is from the perspective of a straight laced moralistic guy that is hanging out with a girl that likes to party and raise hell. The guy is trying to change her to be his idea of normal and trying to push “maybe just wine on Sundays listening to Coldplay” instead of constantly drinking and embarrassing him. He ends up realizing he cant change her and he has to stop wasting his time. The album has an extended version of this song with a cool blues breakdown" says Danny De La Rosa.

This visual story of the song takes place in a video game world created by video editor Miras Orazbekov.

From the very beginning, Danny De La Rosa has been drawn to play the melodies he hears constantly in his head. “There was something about a distorted guitar and melodies that caught my attention at a very early age. It subconsciously and consciously pulled me in.” Music and Danny are magnets that just attract. Songwriter, self-taught guitarist Danny De La Rosa left the band Babylon A.D. in 2017 and began working on his own personal development: writing his own style of music, learning and playing the instruments and establishing his own brand of Hard Rock-Pop. It has always been Danny’s dream to establish his own sound. “Writing and recording is my passion. I constantly hum and have melodies in my head. I can’t wait to record a second album as I have it written already.” It took twelve weekends of travel to record his music at the American Made Studios in Fresno, California. Hence, Danny’s debut solo album is titled 12 Weekends.

The results of Danny’s journey have been pleasing. His first single, co-produced with Marc Kapetan, “Acid Flame” came out on December 20th. Danny De La Rosa has already established his directive as he auditioned and jammed with the band KISS when Ace Frehley left the band. In addition, while at Arista Records, Danny had three of the songs he wrote chosen by record mogul Clive Davis. All three charted brilliantly on the radio. Clearly, Danny De La Rosa’s passion for music will continue to keep growing.

When it comes to making music Danny De La Rosa is still learning and growing on his journey as he writes and records his brand and style; creating music that falls in between the realm of Cheap Trick and a little hard rock Beatles’esc’ sound.

Says Hazaert, “Posty has become a good friend to our camp, David and I have both gone to shows, and hung out and spent some time with him, and we have definitely spent some nights texting and nerding out over classic Metal, and our fanboy devotion to Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Meanwhile I am honestly a huge fan of his stuff, his lyrics. I can honestly say, and I talk about it all the time, there is not an artist who has come out in a long time that has impressed or influenced what I do more than Post Malone.”

“As I actually told him, some of my stuff on Sleeping Giants was heavily influenced by Beerbongs and Bentleys, which I spent 2 months on tour last year driving around the country listening to on repeat, which was really where the impetus for the cover came from. So, it was a huge honor to put our stamp on this song, and pay my respects to what he does, and how much I appreciate it. And I think the emotions and dynamic of the song really lend themselves to the heavier arrangement. Posty is a Rock and Metal guy at heart, and I think “Over Now” is definitely a Metal song at heart.”

Says Ellefson, "We're all fans of Posty, and he's also been a huge fan of Megadeth and all things Metal. Aside from being a great song for any genre, our cover of "Over Now" is our way of showing our mutual admiration and paying homage to our friend.

He adds, "The old adage used to be that if you could strip a song down to just an acoustic guitar and a vocal, you probably had a great song. But times have changed now, that if you can take a song from another genre, and seamlessly transform it to a completely different genre, it just proves what a great song it really is. And it’s a cool dynamic, as he’s a Pop, R&B and Hip-Hop guy, who dips into Rock and Metal, and we’re Rock and Metal guys who have dipped into pop, R&B and Hip-Hop, collaborating with DMC on Sleeping Giants, etc. So, I think this really just pushes that whole idea of exploration forward.” 
“And with everything we’ve been doing with our David Ellefson Youth Music Foundation and the Grammy Music Education Coalition, we’ve been fortunate to stay productive, and continue to inspire people to grow and create in the face of an unprecedented situation. THC’s songwriting genuinity and take-it-or-leave-it approach nurtured a die-hard international fanbase in the underground community. Drawing his inspiration from all facets of contemporary genres and classics, the bipolar, psychotic identity of The Hate Club has been often paired with the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Led Zeppelin & Gorillaz. Referencing to his fanbase as The Legion and encouraging a sense of unity and acceptance, the movement is quickly gaining traction across prominent realms of social media.

Making his way “across the pond” Alex Poe embarked on a treacherous journey to conquer West. Born within 100 miles of Chernobyl, Alex calls the stronghold of Kyiv his home. Displaying high music potential from the young age THC started pursuing guitar as means of his musical expression. Later, after moving to the US and anchoring in Los Angeles, electronic & metal both played a huge role in developing signature The Hate Club sound.

Mastering the art of electronic production and working on “pipes” opened new doors for radical musical freedom. Frequently criticized for his confrontational nature and aggressive sound, Alex states that, - “music serves as a barrier-breaking force of empowerment for the disenfranchised. By means of music we strive to achieve individual’s catharsis of triumphing over yourself.”

First surfacing under the new moniker in 2017, THC organized 2 tours across the US in support of his EPs Space Born and Misfit. Making several consecutive releases including an Unplugged EP pt. 1, several singles and music video, The Hate Club caught attention of a number of online publications nationwide and got interviewed on Vigilantes Radio Podcast hosted by Dini Mussolini, performing a cappella in front of 22,000 listeners.

Experimenting in more than one media, The Hate Club is hosting his own podcast House of the DVNT which sole purpose is to uncover upcoming music artists and let them shine through what Alex refers to as “the most non-conformist podcast on Earth”. Being an integral part of the music community The Hate Club cites musical collaboration as a prime form of artistic growth. Aa a result, several collaborations with other artists are springing from under THC’s belt, namely Sana From Hell, Solomon Grey and Mikey Rotten.

Heavily representing the DIY aesthetic and taking an aggressive stance on the expression of self, The Hate Club set to architect his debut album - Principles of Mortality, which is expected to be released in early 2020.

DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT to Perform at Metal Injection's "Slay at Home" Fest

DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT will be live streaming a performance for Metal Injection's "Slay at Home" festival. The virtual metal music and art festival will take place from May 29-30.

Slay At Home will be an artfully curated two-day livestream event with exclusive never-before-seen performances from over 30 bands, a dozen cover song collaborations, commissioned music from artists that will debut at the fest, special guest appearances, art installations and much more!

The Slay At Home virtual livestream is set to air on May 29th & 30th at the Metal Injection YouTube page for free, in an effort to raise funds for the MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund helping artists, crew and industry workers during financial crisis, as well as the Global Giving Coronavirus Relief Fund, an organization helping front line workers in need during the crisis. This album marks the point where DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT turn their various influences into a work entirely of their own expression despite never trying to cover up their roots. Founded in 2009 by guitarist Nikita Kamprad and vocalist Tobias Jaschinsky, DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT garnered early attention with their self-released debut 'Der Weg einer Freiheit' (2009), which quickly sold out and was re-issued with new drum tracks a year later. Following the 'Agonie' EP (2011), their second album 'Unstille' (2012) already cored international acclaim. In the aftermath of this record, co-founding member Tobias left and main songwriter Nikita Kamprad took over his vocal duties.
 
The frontman was first heard on third full-length 'Stellar' (2015), which saw DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT gaining traction across the pond as well as expanding their European base. KOJ SHARE NEW SINGLE "PAMELA"

Album "HOME" coming August 21st, 2020

German indie three-piece KOJ share their new single "Pamela" along with a music video. It's the fourth single from the bands Long Branch Records label debut album "HOME" coming August 21st, 2020. "Pamela" is heavily influenced by the aesthetic of movies like Drive or Blade Runner and has that very smooth vibe, which makes it the perfect track for late-night driving. The song talks about all of the contradictions that we find ourselves in as humans. We try to fix what's not perfect, put on that make-up, try to fit the mold, manufacture a picture of ourselves designed for the perception of others. However, there is that feeling that all of these outward factors are irrelevant because they are not who we are. "I don’t feel right here in the light, ‘cause I do belong here with the night", essentially wants to say that you are not made up by all the shiny things on the outside, but more importantly by all the little things that we try to keep in the dark too often.

"Pamela is named, yet again, after a famous actress. What started out as an inside joke actually made a lot of sense when looking at the theme of the song and so Pamela was born. The way in which society portrayed, or to this date portrays, women in TV and film or in society in general was and still is at times highly sexualized and objectifying. Women are supposed to be pretty, desirable or of a certain body type. We all play many different roles in our lives. We pretend to be someone, that we really aren’t or don’t want to be anymore. The song wants to encourage each and every one of us to be braver in showing ourselves in a way that feels authentic to us, even if it's not what others expect of us.

Songwriting for Pamela was initiated by listening to old jamming material on our hard drive together with our producer and engineer Beray Habip. We got hooked on a synth harmonization on one of the jams and made this the foundation of Pamela." 

German indie band KOJ share a strong common musical vision in addition to their roots as a family. About MaelstroM

Formed in the ferocious firestorm of the eighties thrash movement, MaelstroM began its

storm surge by quickly dominating their local scene of Long Island, New York. Within a

few years they expanded beyond regional borders and began to gain worldwide

notoriety. Unfortunately, like many bands of that era, MaelstroM fell victim to the

changing scene as harder metal gave way to Seattle grunge and the landscape of

heavy music shifted. 

Not satisfied with the way things ended with MaelstroM’s legacy, vocalist and lyricist

Gary Vosganian and main song writer and guitarist Joey Lodes set out to finish the

vision they had left incomplete all those years ago. Finally, after multiple fits and

kids in a basement, some 32 years ago.

'Of Gods And Men' delivers a 69 minute album of such complexity and decades-intense

Few songs carry the messages of hope, love and resilience as much as the classic hymn "Amazing Grace."

UPON WINGS has released a special version of "Amazing Grace" with music by SEETHER guitarist Corey Lowery.

The song and music video were recorded and filmed while under quarantine.

Frontwoman Anne Autumn Erickson says she was inspired to record "Amazing Grace" after noticing how the song was lifting the spirits of those impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

"'Amazing Grace' is such an iconic song, and it's a song of hope," Erickson says. "I had no plans to record it, but as the coronavirus situation progressed, I felt inspired to do so, seeing how it became an anthem for those on the front lines. Corey did a great job with the music and really made the song come to life. It's a difficult time for people across the world, and I hope this song offers some comfort."

UPON WINGS' "Amazing Grace" will be available for free download via the band's website at UponWings.com for the month of May, and listeners are encouraged to donate what they can to their favorite charity. The song will also be available on digital outlets, such as Apple Music and Spotify, soon. Anne will also be posting a chat about the new song on her podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

"Amazing Grace" will be included on UPON WINGS' upcoming EP, which will be released incrementally throughout the year. The new EP will also feature production from Kevin Jardine (UPLIFT PRODUCTIONS) and Brett Hestla (CREED, DARK NEW DAY).

The upcoming EP marks UPON WINGS' follow-up to their debut album, "Afterlife." Frontman Joe comments:

“‘Victim Of Sacrifice’ is the first track on our first release (EP) back in 2013. It was one of the first songs I ever wrote back in the day and ‘till today it has always been in our live set. It’s the last track we play live and as soon as that bass intro is done all hell breaks loose. All the energy that we have left just bursts out as soon as this song ends and personally I usually lose my mind completely. You can probably see that in the video haha!”
