CAITLYN SMITH RELEASES “DREAMIN’S FREE”
FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM

Kicks Off Headlining Tour Tonight in Hometown Minneapolis, Minn.

Pre-Save
High; Arrives April 8

A week before the release of her forthcoming self-produced third album, High, Monument Records’ acclaimed songstress Caitlyn Smith gives fans another sliver of what’s ahead with “Dreamin’s Free.”

“I spent a good portion of last year searching high and low through my memories and dreams,” shares the Minnesota-native. “I did what any songwriter would do: I turned off all the outside voices and started turning what I found into something that I want to sing.

“This song was born from that place. As an artist, dreaming fuels my life – the risks I choose to take and the art that I create and share with the world.”

Smith collaborated on the ode to big dreamin’ with GRAMMY-award winners Shane McAnally and Lori McKenna:

Yeah, I know that it ain’t been easy
Ain’t got a lot of honey, but we sure got bees
Up to our knees in the weeds and the trouble
‘cause money don’t grow on trees
We can run but wherever we go
Even the freeway gonna take its toll on you and me, baby
We ain’t rich but the dreamin’s free

Kicking things off in her hometown, Smith will begin her headlining The High & Low Tour tonight, at Minneapolis’ famous First Avenue, a former Greyhound bus depot turned iconic rock venue. The show will precede performances at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre on April 6, Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on April 7 and more.

ACM New Female Artist of the Year Nominee Caitlyn Smith Announces New Album; New Single to Country Radio

ACM NEW FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR NOMINEE CAITLYN SMITH ANNOUNCES SELF-PRODUCED
NEW ALBUM HIGH ARRIVES APRIL 8

Releases New Single To Country Radio: “DOWNTOWN BABY”

Album Pre-order Available Tomorrow

“How will you ever know what you’re capable of if you never try?” singer and innovator Caitlyn Smith asks. “For far too long, I’ve let this fear of failure sit in the driver’s seat. So, I leaned into a more supportive community, and I learned to trust my own compass. I was so curious to know what my music would sound like now. Through this process I’ve grown, and I’ve made a record I’m really proud of… a record that’s all mine. High.

After spending the better part of 2021 in the studio, logging hundreds of hours self-producing her next album, the ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee announces her forthcoming third album, High, set for release on April 8 via Monument Records. Pre-order available tomorrow.

“Self-producing has taught me so much about trusting my own compass,” says Smith. “It has been a beautifully terrifying experience and has added a layer of vulnerability when you’re also responsible for painting the sonic landscape as an artist, in addition to writing and singing the songs.”

Tomorrow the power vocalist releases “Downtown Baby,” the first single shipping to Country radio from High. The new release follows her arena-ready title-track released in January and written by Smith alongside Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Erin Decilveo (originally released by Cyrus on her album Plastic Hearts), of which MusicRow critic Robert Oermann notes “this single confirms the widely admired songwriter’s status as a first-rate record maker.”

After spending the last year opening for George Strait, Reba, Little Big Town, and Old Dominion in stadiums and arenas across the country, Minnesota’s Mpls.St.Paul Magazine notes, “The mammoth-voiced, versatile, classic-country-loving vocalist whose songs mix acoustic Americana with gritty blues swagger and punchy pop hooks is fast becoming one of the most buzzed-about singers in Nashville.”

Smith just announced her own headlining High & Low Tour 2022 which kicks off in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 1. The 13-city tour includes stops at New York’s Gramercy Theatre and at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Tenn.

This month, Smith returns to London as part of C2C, performing at Indigo at The O2. Of Smith’s new music, BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris opines, “It’s big and it’s dramatic and it is absolutely fantastic. I love this record.”

Caitlyn Smith Announces Headlining THE HIGH & LOW TOUR 2022

Powerhouse vocalist and country music singer/songwriter Caitlyn Smith announces her headlining tour, The High & Low Tour 2022. Kicking off in Smith’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minn. on April 1, the tour will hit 13 cities, including a show at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville.

“I can’t think of a better place to kick off this tour than my home state of Minnesota,” shares Smith. “We were supposed to tour with my last record but were unable to due to the pandemic. Needless to say, I’m beyond thrilled to see all your faces on the road and finally be able to play Supernova live. I’m also very excited to share a taste of the new music I’ve been working on the last year, too!”

Tickets are on sale February 11 at https://www.caitlynsmith.com/.

Smith spent the last year opening for George Strait, Reba, Little Big Town, and Old Dominion where she played stadiums and arenas across the country. In March, she will head overseas to perform as part of C2C in London before she hits the road to headline her own tour.

The High & Low Tour comes on the heels of Smith’s recent release “High,” about which BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris raved “It’s big and it’s dramatic and it is absolutely fantastic. I love this record” and MusicRow stated, “this single confirms the widely admired songwriter’s status as a first-rate record maker.” Written by Smith along with Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Erin Decilveo, “High” was originally released by Cyrus on her album Plastic Hearts.

Along with the release of “High,” Smith revealed that she will be self-producing her next album, arriving later this year.

“Self-producing has taught me so much about trusting my own compass,” shares Smith. “In the past, I’ve been guilty of looking for direction from everyone else. That’s why I decided to choose my own adventure. It has been a beautifully terrifying experience and has added a layer of vulnerability when you’re also responsible for painting the sonic landscape as an artist, in addition to writing and singing the songs.”

Stay tuned for release details.
