ERRA Share Visualizer for New Single "Echo Sonata"

Prolific metalcore progressives ERRA — J.T. Cavey, vocals; Jesse Cash, vocals + guitars; Conor Hesse, bass; Alex Ballew, drums; and Clint Tustin, guitar — dropped the new song "Gore of Being" last week. Watch the video here. It was the first new music from the band since 2024's critically acclaimed CURE and was lauded by Rock Sound for its "stunning collision of brutality and melody we've come to expect from the band" and by Knotfest as "a potent meld of precision and power."

They've followed it immediately with another typically brainy metallic track titled "Echo Sonata."

Watch the visualizer and listen below.

The song nods to both ERRA's past and its future!

"'Echo Sonata' feels like a return to form for the band," explains Cash. "It hearkens back to the spirit of our Drift album, something we didn't initially plan on but something our friends were quick to point out when we were showing them the song. It's a proper representation of the kind of melody and emotion we're going for on the next record."

ERRA will hit the road this summer as main suport for Architects. All dates are below.

CHILEAN ROCKERS CONSEQUENCE OF ENERGY UNLEASH DEBUT SINGLE, "FREEDOM"

Consequence of Energy is a politically-charged hard rock act from Chile, whose lead-off single, "Freedom," marks their thunderous debut into the international arena. Released on July 18, 2025, "Freedom" features explosive riffs, relentless grooves, and an urgent vocal performance – which hits like a protest anthem born in the heat of global unrest.

Comprised of Michael Bianchi "Sirius" (vocals), Diego Sagredo "Caminantecosmico" (guitar / synths / others), Roli Cortes (guitar / synths), Pedro Javier (bass / backing vocals), and Amaru López Campbell (drums), Consequence of Energy has also issued a music video for the tune via YouTube, which features a performance in front of a festival-sized crowd:

Audio: Freedom

Video: Consequence of Energy - Freedom (Live)

"Freedom" captures the desperation and defiance of a generation pushed to the brink — a song tailor-made for mosh pits and gym playlists. The production is raw but laser-focused, with modern metal sheen and South American fire. Produced by legendary rock producer Garth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Biffy Clyro), mixed by Dave Schiffman (System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers), and mastered by the iconic Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Soundgarden), the sonic pedigree speaks for itself.

The song is a preview of what is to come in the near future, when the band drops their full-length debut, We Are One – which will be released sometime in late 2025/early 2026. With distribution via AWAL and support from the underground powerhouse Los Lobos Records, the band is set to make a global mark. "Freedom" is the first strike from a full campaign aimed at tearing down borders — sonically and socially.

"'Freedom' captures everything I love about a great rock song — raw energy, emotional weight, and total honesty," Richardson said. "Consequence of Energy came into the studio with something urgent to say, and you feel it in every riff and every beat. I'm proud to have worked with them on this track — it's a modern hard rock anthem that hits with purpose."

"The song questions the very concept of freedom in a world where structure, ego, and belief systems often masquerade as liberation," the band adds. "It mocks the idea that louder voices or purer ideologies can set us free, when in truth, we're often trapped by the very tools we use to define ourselves. Freedom is not a protest song—it's a mirror. A bold, biting, and brutally honest reflection of a society addicted to control while crying out for release. Consequence of Energy doesn't offer easy answers—just a challenge: What does freedom really mean? And are you ready to face what's in the way?"

Fueled by the rhythms of Latin America and shaped by the influence of genre giants like Audioslave, Gojira, and System of a Down, Consequence of Energy delivers music that is equal parts catharsis and confrontation. And soon, rock fans worldwide will get a chance to experience this exciting up and coming band.

AWARD-WINNING MUSIC ARTIST GRACE BOWERS SIGNS WITH IMG MODELS AND CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP WITH WME

Grace Bowers, award-winning guitarist, singer/songwriter and bandleader, has signed with IMG Models to build upon her existing body of work and secure opportunities in the fashion and beauty space. Grace continues to be represented by WME and managed by Scooter Weintraub, Pam Wertheimer and Pam Adams at W Management.

Hailed a ‘guitar prodigy’ by Rolling Stone and a ‘genius’ by PAPER Magazine, the 18-year-old cut her teeth playing in dive bars, inspired by the blues of B.B. King as well as the soulful funk of Sly And The Family Stone. Her breakout moment came when videos of her playing guitar on social media went viral during the pandemic and she has since become one of the most in-demand and celebrated young guitarists.

Grace recently performed at The 67th Annual GRAMMY® Awards with Chris Martin of Coldplay, at Love Rocks NYC with Peter Frampton and Trey Anastasio, alongside Dolly Parton on CBS and with Lainey Wilson as part of CBS’ New Year’s Eve Live celebration. She also toured this past year with The Red Clay Strays, Gary Clark Jr., Slash and The Roots.

Her debut album, Wine On Venus, was produced by John Osborne (Brothers Osborne), released independently, and garnered widespread acclaim after its release in August of 2024.

She has further headlined sold-out shows in Japan, New York City and Los Angeles and has also appeared at prominent festivals such as Bourbon & Beyond, Telluride Blues and Brews, Bottlerock, Sea.Hear.Now., Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival and “Let Freedom Sing,” Nashville’s 4th of July concert.

Grace recently won Instrumentalist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards, made her Grand Ole Opry debut on her eighteenth birthday and was named a U.S. Global Music Ambassador by the U.S. Department of State and YouTube’s Global Music Diplomacy Initiative.

She is proud of raising $30,000 with her 2nd Annual “Grace Bowers & Friends” benefit show, $15,000 of which was donated to MusiCares®.

Eric Church's 3 Nights at Red Rocks: Full Band Firepower to Stripped-Back Solos, Same-Day New Song & More

With an American Flag scarf given by a fan hanging loosely around his neck on night two-of-three as the band finished “Springsteen,” the sunglass-clad superstar had just downed an airplane bottle of Jack, and was clearly living in the moment as much as the audience as he grinned and acknowledged, “2012 broke out in here real quick.” It was a statement that both acknowledged the jubilance as well as the journey that Eric Church embarked on 20 years ago.

Earlier this week, arriving at the venue for the first time in nine years, Church joked with his crew, “I was a younger man the last time I walked this ramp.” Between reminiscing of his youngest son first attending in a Baby Bjorn and headphones to now standing side stage for “Holdin’ My Own,” Church’s teary eyes reflected the magnitude of the moment and mirrored its lyrics – “If the world comes knocking, Tell ‘em I'm not home, I'm finally holdin’ my own” – holding the crowd right along with him.

“The thing about these shows is you can’t really plan for or manufacture what happens. Either a night, a moment, a show or a melody captures it, or it doesn’t, and this week, every night – and I mean this – for me, it was magic,” Church shared after.

From staying up until 4:22 a.m. on night one and brilliantly deciding during the late-night celebration to add covers on night two like “Gimme Shelter” (during which longtime cohort Joanna Cotten mouthed to him sarcastically in between Merry Clayton’s chorus, “you son of a...”), to being so moved that he debuted a song, “New Old Me,” written that very afternoon on night three, his three-night stint was a creative filled sabbatical in Colorado.

Monday delivered a full-scale production, with a complete horns and strings sections plus a choir for Eric Church vs. The Machine. He played the entire Evangeline vs. The Machine album front to back – and then played 14 more songs. There were some favorites, including “Knives of New Orleans,” and there were some rarities, including “Lynyrd Skynyrd Jones” outside the state of Alabama for only the second time in the last three years.

“I’ll see you in another nine years,” Church told the crowd at the conclusion of the evening. Then he chuckled. “Nah, I’m just kidding,” he said. “Shit, I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

Indeed, with his masterful road crew tearing down that extremely complicated set and loading in a completely new one over the course of just a couple hours, the stage was set for night two – Eric Church vs. The ECB – to make its own mark. It was quickly clear that he and the ECB weren’t just playing the songs that have defined the past two-decades – you could see them living those moments again, too. They started playing “Lotta Boot Left to Fill” in Denver at the Grizzly Rose in November of 2006. Tuesday night, it was back.

“Damn, we were punks,” Church laughed at the conclusion of the song. But he also knew that being a punk is occasionally what navigated him through a career that has never been stereotypical, and also a key reason why he was standing in the spotlight at a sold-out Red Rocks. “Sorry,” he told the crowd with a grin, “I’m enjoying that more than I should.”

Except for “Springsteen” – which still came with a different “Born To Run” intro, because Church just can’t help but push himself to deliver something new with each performance – each of the 23 songs was different on Tuesday, making for 45 different songs played over the first two nights alone.

And yet, there was still one more show to come, with Wednesday’s finale delivering an epic clash of Eric Church vs. The Guitar. The scene was set early, with a heavy rain setting in just before Church took the stage and making for an incredible setting as he opened with the instantly recognizable first few chords of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” immediately letting the crowd know they were in for one of those special nights that wouldn’t soon be forgotten.

The rain came and went initially, but then it unloaded around 11 p.m. It happened to coincide with Church breaking into a 12-song medley in the middle of “Record Year.” By the time he got to the sixth song of the medley, “Tiny Dancer,” it was pouring. In “Through My Ray-Bans,” there’s a line that says, “Tonight we don’t give a damn.” By the time Church and Cotten finished “Like Jesus Does,” it was a borderline monsoon, and this crowd decided they absolutely, positively did not give a damn.

The unscripted backdrop of the night enabled Church to give a performance that instantly goes into his career pantheon. You will never be able to make a list of best Eric Church shows without the Red Rocks rain show in 2025. Likewise, you may not be able to make a list of most memorable Red Rocks shows from any artist without including the Eric Church rain show of 2025. Late in the show, long past midnight and nearly 30 minutes after Church had finished the night’s planned set list and was completely improvising, every single seat was filled as the house lights turned on to illuminate the crowd singing along to “Talladega.” At 12:25 a.m. on a Wednesday, in miserable conditions, there wasn’t a visible empty seat anywhere.

In total, he played 32 songs plus that 12-song medley, putting the total at 44 for the nearly two and a half hours he was on stage (and nearly 100 over the three days). Across the unique trilogy of performances, members of the Church Choir also got a sneak peek at the format of his upcoming Free the Machine Tour that kicks off Sept. 12 in Pittsburgh, Pa., as Church will meld what fans saw across three nights at Red Rocks into one show with robust musical arrangements, original band rock outs and powerful stripped configurations of his catalog.

“You don’t want nights like these to end, and I think that’s what I chase,” adds the North Carolina native. “Everyone who comes to our shows knows what I mean and it’s why they chase it, too.”

Fans can relive all three nights by re-watching the trilogy of livestreams exclusively on Nugs, now through July 27.

Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum Announce “Band Together Texas,” A Benefit Concert for Central Texas Flood Aid

Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum present Band Together Texas, a star-studded benefit concert on Sunday, August 17 at Moody Center in Austin, benefiting The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, the leading charity behind the ongoing flood relief efforts, and Central Texas Community Foundation

The July 4 flooding was one of the deadliest natural disasters in Texas history, claiming the lives of more than 130 adults and children. As of today, over 100 individuals remain missing. Entire communities were inundated, homes and livelihoods were swept away, and families are still reeling from the devastation. Band Together Texas aims to rally critical support for flood-impacted communities and their ongoing needs as they recover and rebuild.

“One of the things I love about both our artist community and our community in Texas is that we show up for one another, especially in times of such great need like folks in my home state are facing after the flood,” shares Lambert. “There is so much devastation and loss, yet what’s given me hope are the stories of those that have come to the aid of so many. That’s what we want to do with Band Together: Texans helping Texas. We hope it is a night that helps with healing while raising awareness and funds for The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.”

Band Together Texas will feature performances from an all-star roster of Texas talent in addition to Lambert and McCollum – including Ryan Bingham, Wade Bowen, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Dylan Gossett, Jack Ingram, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Lukas Nelson, Jon Randall and Randy Rogers Band.

In addition to the musical performances, notable Texans lending their support to the event include actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid, former UT Longhorns coach Mack Brown and players Emmanual Acho, Colt McCoy and Vince Young, MLB star and Houston native Roger Clemens plus television host and Dallas native Chris Harrison, with more to be announced.

The evening will also feature tributes to first responders and flood victims, including stories of rescue and resilience shared on stage by emergency personnel.

“The flooding in the Hill Country of Texas is truly heartbreaking,” adds McCollum. “This place and these people are my community. There is a long road ahead rebuilding and even though so many families are facing the unimaginable, we’re Texas strong. Miranda is inspiring in both her music and how big her heart is, and I’m honored to be joining her for this benefit concert to support our fellow Texans and share a night of healing through music.”

Band Together Texas proceeds benefit The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a Kerrville-based 501(c)(3) public charity that supports both urgent relief and long-term rebuilding following the floods, and Central Texas Community Foundation

Whiskey Myers Introduce "Midnight Woman;" New Album 'Whomp Whack Thunder' Arrives 9/26

As anticipation builds for Whomp Whack Thunder, their first new album in three years, Whiskey Myers continue to peel back the curtain on what’s to come with the release of “Midnight Woman,” available everywhere now. Listen Below and pre-order/pre-save the album HERE.

Following the hard-hitting “Tailspin” and fiery lead single “Time Bomb” – currently climbing the Top 40 at Active Rock radio, further solidifying Whiskey Myers’ growing crossover appeal – “Midnight Woman” showcases a different kind of power. The track’s swampy intro explodes into a hard-driving groove laced with classic rock energy. Equal parts grit and seduction, it paints the portrait of a spellbinding force of nature:

“‘Midnight Woman’ is that raw, late-night energy you can’t shake off – part voodoo, part rock ’n’ roll fever dream,” shares lead singer Cody Cannon. “It’s about the kind of woman who doesn’t just walk into your life – she storms in like thunder and leaves you dizzy in her wake.”

The latest release adds to the excitement for Whiskey Myers’ highly anticipated seventh studio album arriving Sept. 26 via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records. Born from the piney woods of East Texas and shaped in the soul of Nashville during an immersive three weeks with renowned producer Jay Joyce – known for bringing edge, atmosphere and unpredictability to every project (Eric Church, Cage the Elephant, Halestorm, Lainey Wilson) – Whomp Whack Thunder is a strong statement from the multi-Platinum independent band.

“We didn’t set out to chase a specific sound – we set out to make a Whiskey Myers record,” reflects lead guitarist John Jeffers. “Jay pulled something out of us that’s raw and real, and every track’s got a piece of our story in it. This album’s about where we’ve been, what we’ve lived and the scars we earned along the way – and I think Whomp Whack Thunder might just be our most fearless album yet.”

Whomp Whack Thunder is the sound of a band at the height of its powers, marrying Southern swagger with arena-sized rock and soul-searching songwriting. Cannon penned all eleven tracks solo, delivering stories that hit with the emotional weight of lived experience and the firepower of the band’s signature sound to craft a record born of the road and shaped by nearly two decades of defiant, grassroots momentum.

The forthcoming album features the full force of the six piece – Cannon (vocals, guitar), Jeffers (guitar), Cody Tate (guitar), Jamey Gleaves (bass), Jeff Hogg (drums) and Tony Kent (percussion, piano) – with Joyce also contributing keys, organ and guitar, crafting a sonic landscape that stretches from greasy blues-rock riffs to gospel-tinged country soul.

Ahead of the fall release, fans can catch early previews of the new music with the What We Were Born To Do Tour, hitting a sold-out Nashville stop tomorrow, July 19, and visiting cities across the U.S. throughout the summer. Whiskey Myers also co-headlines 14 dates of the Live in 25 Tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band later this year in addition to headlining their own personally curated Moon Crush “Whiskey Moon” music vacation taking over Miramar Beach, Fla. Nov. 7-9.

Randall King Releases Ballad, “I Keep Your Memory Around”

Hereford, Texas native Randall King has been dubbed a “hardcore country vocalist" by Billboardand celebrated by Holler as “the genre's neo-traditional figurehead.” As he continues to tease a new album, King is doubling down on his allegiance to his traditional country roots with the release of his latest ballad, “I Keep Your Memory Around,” available now. Listen Below.

“This song is a special one that I hope brings you some comfort and healing,” King shares. “Whether you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one, a heartbreak, or you just love country music, I hope you find meaning in knowing you’re not alone. This one is close to my heart.”

Written by Drew Parker, Adam Craig and Matt Rogers, “I Keep Your Memory Around” depicts the heartbreak of losing a loved one, and the reluctance to let go of the memories shared.

I keep your memory around
I don’t care how bad it hurts
I know forgettin’ about you
Would hurt even worse
I know that I should move on
But I can’t let it move out
No you won’t ever be gone
If I keep your memory around

King most recently released “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk” feat. Braxton Keith, which Billboard declared a “barroom-ready track.” As King returns to the studio, readying his next album for 2026, he will continue touring throughout 2025, with a mix of headlining shows and support dates on Luke Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour.

ABOUT RANDALL KING:
A West Texas native and self-described “old soul," Warner Music Nashville's Randall King has never wavered in his honky-tonk allegiance – in fact, he’s worn it like a badge of honor, growing with pride into a leading voice for today’s traditional country. Amassing nearly 500 Million streams with singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl” and “Mirror, Mirror,” he’s kept the twang alive in country’s mainstream while also earning acclaim through deeply personal EPs like 2020’s Leanna, and his 2022 major label album debut, Shot Glass – which landed on both Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far). Schooled on icons like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson, but inspired by modern masters like Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King first built an independent, grass-roots following on the strength of his electrifying live shows – each one a harrowing mix of rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion – never asking for permission to explore his creative vision. He has since gone on to headline all across the U.S., the U.K. and Europe, where he continues to play nearly 150 shows a year and hone his craft where it matters most. Named a Country Artist to Watch by everyone from Pandora and Country Now to Music Mayhem Magazine, his sophomore major label album Into the Neon, available now, takes that craft to the next level, as King’s neo-traditional roots meet the blood-pumping rhythms and sharp, arena-sized grooves of Y2K-era country and beyond. Co-produced by King and Jared Conrad, and featuring 18 tracks, punchy sounds exist side-by-side with timeless swagger, further blurring the line between yesteryear and today–even as King renews his forever-country vows. Into The Neon was named among the best country albums of the year by Whiskey Riff, Country Now & Entertainment Focus, and yielded King’s debut single, “I Could Be That Rain.”

Black Veil Brides Debut Video for First New Track of 2025 — The Blistering "Hallelujah"

On the heels of a successful tour alongside Baby Metal, Black Veil Brides are back with their first piece of new music since 2024's chart-topping single "Bleeders." The band — comprised of vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, bassist Lonny Eagleton, and drummer Christian Coma — return to their roots with the aggressive new track "Hallelujah." The Tampa, Florida based choir "One Voice Ensemble" also lent their talents to the recording. The song is being released by their label partners Spinefarm and was produced by Biersack and Pitts. "Hallelujah" is now available via all digital service providers here.

"'Hallelujah' is an important song for us, not only because it is the first track from the new record, but also as a signifier of what's to come for the band. On a narrative level, it represents the themes and ideas I am exploring lyrically on the album. I am fascinated by the current state of discourse and how often we seem to prioritize ideological certainty over the heart and soul of humanity. Over the years, we have developed a tremendous connection with our audience, which is often dismissed or misinterpreted by the 'scene.' We stand at a unique inflection point culturally and I want to be able to speak openly about how much I believe in being true to yourself over the fear of mass hysteria or in-group recriminations," explains Biersack. "When my grandfather's voice spoke to 'the outcasts' in the first moments of our first record in 2010, it was a sincere call to arms for all those who feel different. In many ways this record is the natural evolution of that same idea. This is the heaviest and most vitriolic BVB record by far but more importantly I believe it is the most sincere and honest record we have ever made."

To coincide with the new single, Black Veil Brides are releasing an animated video for "Hallelujah." The video is directed by Marco Pavone (The Black Dahlia Murder, Pink Floyd, Shadow of Intent). The band will continue to release more visual content over the coming months to support the new song. A teaser for the track got fans in a frenzy when it was released last week.

The official music video for "Hallelujah" can be seen below.

The band will also be touring in support of the new single. The song will make its live performance debut at Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA on July 26. Black Veil Brides will also be making appearances at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY (September 20), Rock The Locks Festival in Umatilla, OR (September 26), and Aftershock Festival (October 5) before heading to South America for six headline shows. The We Missed Ourselves Tour 2025 will also feature Underoath, Silverstein, Senses Fail, and I Set My Friends On Fire. OF LIMBO Share Introspective New "Unplugged" LP

Long Beach, CA Rockers OF LIMBO are sharing an introspective side of their music with the release of the new “Unplugged” album.  Known for their raucous live shows and hard driving, heavy rock & roll, this new LP showcases a more thoughtful and deeper dive into their lyrical and musical abilities. The album showcases a reflective, acoustic sound with a mix of original songs and covers of 3 of their personal favorites.  The LP was self-produced and mixed at their home studio, and mastered by Brian Frederick of Long Beach Mastering.

The LP’s focus track is a cover of the iconic Radiohead track “Street Spirit”.  The song delves into the seeming inevitability of troubles and strife in life – and ultimately finding solace in love. The ethereal vocals, supported by the steady acoustic guitar line resemble the constant beating of a heart.  OF LIMBO’s Jake Davies says “My all-time most loved Radiohead song. I am so proud of Luke’s guitar work on this cover.  He wrote some guitar harmonies that really take it somewhere special. Our friend Lucas Holter from Whiskey & The Wolves is featured with us on this one and knocked it absolutely out of the park with his vocals. I got chills hearing him lay down his takes.”

The video for “Street Spirit” was directed by Brandon Vancour.  It was filmed on a beach in the Belmont shore neighborhood in Long Beach.  Jake explains “Radiohead’s video for this song is one of my favorite videos of all time. We knew we weren’t gonna be driving an airstream onto the beach and slow-mo me falling off it etc.  But we wanted to pay homage to the source material. Black and white, slow-motion moments - very dreamy. Lucas Holter gave a great performance in the video as well - Super proud of this one.”

The band is starting to play live shows in support of the album release, with a more extensive tour being booked for the fall.

OF LIMBO play 100+ shows per year, and have toured nationally with Wolfmother, Hinder, Candlebox, Buckcherry, Joyous Wolf, and Blue Oyster Cult, among others.  Their high-energy performances create an electric atmosphere that is infectious, making it impossible not to have fun.

Chicago Progressive Metal Aberrants DISSONA Set to Release Next Full-Length Album, 'Receptor,' on October 1, 2025

Beginning production in 2020, 'Receptor' was poised to be the immediate successor to DISSONA’s 2016 album 'Paleopneumatic' before the pandemic dashed the industry’s momentum upon the rocks. Time, however, has a curious way of reviving what was once forced into dormancy. Now completely realized and tangible, 'Receptor' is an electrifying journey that embodies DISSONA’s dynamic and unmistakable approach to the metal medium. DISSONA’s third album, 'Receptor,' is coming on October 1, 2025, via Earache Distribution.

First single, “Receptor”, is available right now for streaming. The title track is the culmination of everything DISSONA has built themselves to be and effectively serves as the overture to the 'Receptor' album. The song is at once a showcase of DISSONA’s inimitable sound, more mature and robust than ever, as well as a scene-setting piece to immerse the listener into the album’s distinct aural realm. Featuring the siren-like guest vocals of Laura Guldemond of Burning Witches fame, “Receptor” bursts forth with ferocious urgency and crackles with a fiery intensity. A churning rhythm section acts as the propulsive undercurrent, carrying waves of raging guitar, seething synth-work, and a powerhouse vocal performance, ultimately cresting to an iconic duet both haunting and captivating. “Receptor” can be heard right now on all streaming platforms and BandCamp.

In regard to the album, DISSONA states:

With 'Receptor,' we challenged ourselves harder than ever before to not only create something that tests our limits as performing musicians, but also burns bright with raw energy and real emotion. It is by far the most dynamic and focused work we have created–unadulterated and unyielding.”

DISSONA’s newest single, "Receptor," is available now digitally on all streaming platforms HERE. Digital and physical pre-orders of the full-length album, 'Receptor,' are available immediately HERE. Physical editions include two bonus tracks that will be unavailable digitally anywhere, ever. Additionally, the physical edition of the album includes a 12-page, hand-drawn art booklet designed solely by lead vocalist, David Dubenic.

Mawiza Premiere Defiant New Album ÜL

Like smoke from a shaman's pipe, Mawiza have risen as a guiding force for indigenous metal. Integrating tribal rhythms and ancient instruments into groove metal has won these modern day Mapuche warriors respect from the Chilean Grammys and scene elders like Mercyful Fate, Mastodon, Slipknot and Gojira. Now, with their third album and first for Season of Mist, the band are summoning a towering defense of their ancestral land.

"Sung entirely in Mapudungun, it's as thematically enlightening as it is musically distinct", Metal Hammer UK writes about ÜL in an 8/10 review. "...these up-and-comers feel close to fully formed and vital to listen to".

"In a genre that too often forgets its own roots, Mawiza are digging deep into language, into legacy, into land and returning with something eternal", writes Metal Lair. "Not just a great Latin American metal record. One of the year's most important".

ÜL comes out tomorrow, Friday, July 18, but you can hear all nine defiant anthems today by listening to the full album stream below.

Pre-order & Pre-save

https://orcd.co/mawizaul

"ÜL is the voice of the land, the origin of feeling, the first call to connect with emotions", Mawiza says. "Our new album is the materialization of a part of the spirit that, for a few seconds, becomes one with the wind - a force we can hear, feel resonating, communicate with, and return to. It is our indigenous chant, and like smoke, it rises as a message to the skies".

Hear Mawiza perform ÜL during their ongoing European tour with fellow Chilean metalheads Ater.

Mawiza are a force of nature on ÜL. With sky-scraping riffs and earthshaking grooves, these nine chants call for the protection of Mapuche territory. Opening ceremony "Wingkawnoam" stomps to an industrial groove, but the song's bounding rhythm mirrors the way a deer dances while eluding its predators. "History is normally written by the colonizers", the band says. "We have to show the indigenous vision".

Mawiza have seen the Mapuche Nation endure tremendous hardships. With its storming leads and blood-pumping chants, "Ngulutu" echoes the ancient battles between the Spanish and Mapuche by channeling the strength of the Mapocho and Maipo rivers. Half of the video for “Mamüll Reke” was filmed on Mapuche territory in southern Chile, outside the city of Valdivia, that is now controlled by two timbre companies.

But the band are steeled by the resistance of not only their Mapuche ancestors but also their land. Soaring above the clouds with brightly piercing flute, "Mamüll Reke" draws its harmonious energy from a mournful Afafan war cry. "Mamüll reke / Lhalu witxan / Afafalen / Lhayaiñ ka (Just like the tree / that dies standing / chanting the war cry / we will die too)".

"The Mapuche are still standing", Mawiza's vocalist and guitarist Awka says. "You can cut us down, but if one falls, ten shall rise".

About ARION

Formed in 2011, ARION first made a significant mark on the metal scene with their debut album Last Of Us in 2014. Their sophomore effort, “Life Is Not Beautiful,” featuring the breakthrough single "At The Break Of Dawn [feat. Elize Ryd]," solidified their status and earned them major support slots with Finnish bands like BATTLE BEAST, WINTERSUN, and SONATA ARCTICA.

The release of Vultures Die Alone in 2021 during the pandemic propelled their burgeoning career even further, leading to extensive touring in subsequent years. While supporting established metal bands such as GLORYHAMMER and BLOODBOUND, the quintet also performed at a selection of prestigious European festivals and celebrated their US live debut at ProgPower USA in 2022, before closing their “Vultures Die Alone” live chapter supporting prog metal giants DREAM THEATER in 2023.

With their new album The Light That Burns The Sky ready for release and years of touring experience, including many headlining dates in their home country, ARION are poised to extend the reach of their melodic metal legacy worldwide. The group additionally celebrated the album’s launch with a Central European co-headlining tour alongside their label mates BRAINSTORM as well as more Finnish shows with heavyweights SONATA ARCTICA and STRATOVARIUS.

The Iron Roses Return With "AGITPOP" EP Out 9/11 + Share "Class War Cheer Squad"

THE IRON ROSES, your favorite provocative punk rockers with a clear mission, are back with a new single that will get the blood coursing through your veins, your fist pumping in the air, and your brain thinking about how to be the change you want to see in the world!

Today, the band, previously lauded by SPIN for being "more ambitious both musically and thematically than most artists choose" and by New Noise as "a great fucking listen," share the new single "Class War Cheer Squad."

Listen below.

The band, now fully independent, will release the 3-song AGITPOP EP on September 11. Pre-order/pre-save it here. [[ADD LINK]]

Each single from the EP will launch with an exclusive, limited-to-25-pieces t-shirt, while a portion of the profits from each of these shirts will be donated to a charitable organization

The "Class War Cheer Squad" donations will be made to Border Kindness.

The Iron Roses are touring through the summer — headlining Europe and performing at festivals and supporting Bad Cop Bad Cop in North America. All dates are below.

"'Class War Cheer Squad' is easily the most lyrically direct song in our collection so far," explains Nat Gray. "To the point and going for the throat is the mantra here: '1,2,3,4, I declare a class war!' You don't get much more to the point than that, folks. We are all being failed by systems which demand our submission and praise while giving nothing in return, and where has it gotten us? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and the middle class is effectively eliminated. The ruling class whine and moan about the pittance going into social service programs, but never ask where the next several billion in bomb money will come from. We are tired of the lies, the manipulation, and the scapegoating of marginalized communities in order to fear-monger people into voting against their best interests."

Gray finishes, "As punk artists, humans, and musicians, we find it our duty to speak up when many can't (or won't), because isn't that what this platform was always meant for? Just 3-4 simple chords and an axe to grind with power, authority, and oppression. Enjoy!"

About the EP, the band offered the following update.

"We began writing new music in the Winter of 2024, high from an incredible year of growth as a band, and just before the political climate became, once again, dangerously oppressive and hateful," shares Becky Fontaine. "Initially, the songs flowed out as they usually do for us: Anthems of hope in a world that feels hopeless. Songs of joyful resistance. Energetic, uplifting, sociopolitically-driven pieces that served to remind us all that there is a piece of the human experience that cannot be commodified."

Fontaine continues, "But when mid-January 2025 rolled around, we, like so many within our community, were absolutely devastated at the reckless power that took the throne. Writing became our only reprieve from doom-scrolling, grief, and anxiety. There were literal days where Nat or myself couldn't get off the couch, and days when songs were so frantically bursting out of us, one of us might be in tears and the other might be three steps from panic as we fought to tell the stories that needed to be told in the voices that needed to be heard. It quickly became apparent that this new collection of songs was being very strongly informed by the landscape we were in."

Fontaine further pulls back the curtain, "Every single day another horrific order was being announced. Every single day an even more bold attack against human rights, opportunity, equity and autonomy. What shaped itself from our work over those several months were songs that had a bit more frustration and defiance weaved into them, while still holding on to that tangible joy and playfulness that is The Iron Roses Way. It felt really good to be able to take that dichotomy and propel it even further. We truly challenged each other this time around, pushing and pulling each other through the painful parts of songwriting, fine tuning how to bring out the best of what two passionate frontwomen and four of the most talented musicians have to offer."

In conclusion, Fontaine states, "As the world did little to heal itself, and with the worst of humanity becoming somehow even more overt, we decided there was no reason to wait to bring some of these songs to life. We had already recorded them in Pedro's studio, and really needed to release these three songs in this huge moment of history as a reminder that it is OK to be angry and scared and frustrated. You can still fight when you are scared. It feels powerful to take up our protest into our own hands, and we hope that these songs provide the cheerleading people need to get back up, even when bloody and bruised, and show the enemy you won't be erased so easily."

“This album digs even deeper,” says Ellefson. “It’s heavier, more personal, and shaped by everything we’ve experienced on and off the stage.” Soto adds, “The energy we poured into this one—it's the sound of two lifetimes colliding in riffs, rage, and redemption.”

Ellefson further comments, “One of the things I like most is I feel like you can hear a real sense of brotherhood on our records, that we're really in the creative process together as a band. The consistency of our sound has remained intact while allowing us to further build upon each other's strengths from our debut album. It's an honest, organic approach that blends well and lets us explore new sounds and musical paths.  At the end of the day, I don't think there is anything that an artist desires more than that!"

“Unbreakable” drops August 15, 2025, and will be available on all major streaming platforms with limited edition autographed Vinyl, CD & Cassette bundles exclusively through Rat Pak Records.

New Recording Artist AUSTEN STARR Releases Debut Single "I Am The Enemy" + Music Video

Having recently signed to Frontiers Music Srl, rising rocker AUSTEN STARR is elated to release her debut single "I Am The Enemy" alongside a music video, available to view below. With this striking debut single, AUSTEN STARR sets the stage for what promises to be an ambitious and emotionally charged musical journey.

AUSTEN STARR comments on signing to Frontiers:

“I'm very excited and very grateful to be working with Frontiers. Despite me being a brand-new artist, they were highly supportive of my vision and they gave me free reign in terms of artistic expression. It's really, really cool of a label to do that for a debut. Thank you, Frontiers!”

On the new single, she adds:

"’I Am The Enemy’ leans slightly into 'pop,' but has been a favorite of everyone involved in the project, and the timing seemed right for a summer release to be this upbeat and deceptively saccharine. The video intends to show the dichotomy that exists around my desire to live within this 'rockstar' persona; one side is really tortured about it and the other is excited about it. The version of me that you see on the Viper Room stage is the culmination and resolution of those two parts.”

About AUSTEN STARR:

AUSTEN STARR is a reluctant Bostonian with a penchant for self-induced misery. A natural contrarian, she was raised in a household where being a musician was the last thing she was encouraged to do—so, of course, AUSTEN recorded an album with the help of some heavy-hitters from Frontiers and beyond. While AUSTEN considers herself to be an “anxious wreck,” she’s channeled her inner turmoil and contradictions into a compelling musical statement. AUSTEN's penchant for hypocrisy is almost as defined as her narrative voice. After all, she admits both to hating bad grammar and to using it in one of her own songs because it fits the meter. When she’s not rocking out on stage or recording, AUSTEN is learning guitar, embracing "emo karaoke nights," and forging ahead with a relentless, albeit trepidatious, determination to carve out her place in the music world.
