RAGE Announce New EP 'Spreading The Plague'

German Power Metal band RAGE has come up with a special surprise for its followers to thank them for their loyalty and patience during the long wait enforced by the pandemic: In time for their major co-headlining tour alongside Brainstorm in October and November 2022 and as an appetizer for the things that await their fans, singer/bassist Peavy Wagner and his bandmates Jean Borman, Stefan Weber (both guitars) and Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos (drums) are set to launch their ‘Spreading The Plague’ EP, featuring three previously unreleased new songs as well as three exciting bonus tracks. Says Peavy“This is a thank-you to our fans who have stood by Rage for so many years. We really look forward to seeing everybody again at our upcoming shows.”

‘Spreading The Plague’ consists of the songs "To Live And To Die", "Spreading The Plague" and "The King Has Lost His Crown", all three from the production phase of Rage’s 2021 album ‘Resurrection Day’ and previously unreleased. Peavy explains: “These are numbers that we recorded at the same studio quality level as our ‘Resurrection Day’ material but have deliberately held back until now to have something special up our sleeve for our fans when we’ll be able to tour again at last.” ‘Resurrection Day’ was a major success for Rage: The album scored high chart positions in a number of countries in September 2021, such as number 14 in Germany, number 12 in Japan, number 38 in Switzerland, and a more than impressive number 46 and 81 in the US and Canada, respectively.

The new EP is complemented by three bonus tracks: ‘A New Land’ is a new unplugged version; ‘The Price Of War 2.0.’ was first released a few months ago as a digital single, including a video clip to introduce new band members Jean Borman and Stefan Weber, but has not yet been available on any physical record, same as the Rage classic ‘Straight To Hell’, a live stream from the Balve Cave venue in July 2020.

So there are plenty of exciting things in the offing: a new EP (complete with exciting cover artwork courtesy of Karim König, who has also designed ‘The Devil Strikes Back’ and ‘Seasons Of The Black’, among others) as well as a big European tour in October / November 2022. It’s safe to say that Rage fans have plenty to look forward to...

Idaho Heavy Rock Band Silent Theory has revealed the official music video for "Livin' The Dream," off of their new collection of acoustic renditions of their several of their previous singles, Theoretically Speaking: The Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1. Directed by Jon Kuritz from Make Waves Entertainment, "Livin' The Dream" is originally off of the band's 2011 released Black Tie Affair.

“For a long time, we had always talked about taking a collection of our back catalog and doing these reimagined versions of the songs. Given we have three full-length albums, we decided to take two songs off each album. We have everything from various acoustic sounds, live violins, some bluegrass and cinematic elements. While we are prepping to release a radio single in the near future that our fans are accustomed to, we are hoping they will enjoy these variations of our songs.” – Mitch Swanger

Often lost in the past two years of the coronavirus pandemic aware of the nuances that ‘normal’ life brings. Trials, traumas, loves, and losses were all still present, even if ignored.

This is something that New Jersey rock outfit Palisades are all too familiar with, the band – vocalist/bassist Brandon Elgar, guitarists Xavier Adames and Matthew Marshall, and drummer Aaron Rosa – having been forced to contend with everything from line-up changes to the death of loved ones, all the while trying to record a new album amidst the most uncertain period the music industry has ever faced.

Their efforts and struggles have not been in vain. Palisades’ superb new album, Reaching Hypercritical, is due for release on Friday, July 2022 via their long-time home Rise Records. The band – whose worldwide streams now approaching 300 million – broke the Billboard 200 with their last LP, 2018’s Erase the Pain, while also scoring the #1 Independent, Top New Artist and Alternative New Artist album. With their strongest and most ambitious record yet now ready for the world, Palisades look set to further build upon their past efforts and appearances at festivals including Louder Than Life, Reading and Leeds, Download and Rock am Ring by reinforcing their status as one of rock’s most necessarily innovative and purposeful artists.

“It’s a been a pretty drastic progression musically,” drummer Aaron Rosa notes of Reaching Hypercritical. “This album really captures how the band has matured while being brutally honest with ourselves about all the tough moments that were going through our heads while making the record. Reaching Hypercritical is a true demonstration of how the past few years have changed us as people, as a band and what Palisades’ music stands for.”

Some of that change derives from the band’s recent line-up shift, which saw frontman Lou Miceli exit and vocalist/bassist Brandon Elgar step up on sole vocals. The move has allowed Palisades to hone in on their new frontman's passion, swagger, and raw talent, whose cathartic presence is the perfect muse for their emotive songs.

“The sheer talent and unique style Brandon brings to being a frontman really elevates our music,” guitarist Matthew Marshall comments. “His melodies, lyrics and his flair makes all of us continue to push ourselves and that was ideal for what we wanted to achieve with Reaching Hypercritical. A new beginning for Palisades.”

While the atmosphere within the band is currently one of excitement and promise, the rocky path Palisades has had to traverse in order to create Reaching Hypercritical is reflected in the solemn, introspective, and often very dark outlook of the music. Mental illness and divorce are two heavy topics that rear their head on the record, while Aaron took the opportunity on Reaching Hypercritical to open up about the death of his father, who passed away during the writing of Palisades’ new LP.

“In terms of both our mental health and our career, it very much felt like we were reaching a hypercritical point,” he says of the band’s recent experiences. “You have all of the uncertainty that was brought on by a pandemic while life continues to do what it does. My father was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and died two months later. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with, and in the middle of that, we were still trying to write a record. That moment in my life and some of the traumatic experiences of the other guys in the band really shaped this record. Ultimately, it altered the entire tone of the record and truly what the songs meant.”

From the raw emotion of “Fray” – which features a heart-breaking voice message from Aaron’s father – to the anthemic modern rock punch of the album’s first single “Better,” Reaching Hypercritical is doused in passion, intensity, and ambition. It’s the kind of record whose songs belong on the biggest platforms, as massive choruses collide with the kind of lyrical honesty and intelligence that will connect with anyone who’s experienced loss and pain.

From the depths of despair, Palisades have not only emerged with Reaching Hypercritical, but they have also done so triumphantly. For Brandon, Xavier, Matthew, and Aaron, it’s now about sharing that victory with others who need dragging out of the mire.

“I just want to be able to show people that no matter how deep of a hole you're in that there’s always a way to crawl out,” Brandon says. “With everything we went through, we didn’t know what was going to happen or if this band would even continue for us, but we stuck together and overcame these obstacles together. The goal of Reaching Hypercritical, more than anything, is to show people that they can do that too.”

A Burden To Bear Release New Single “Ascension" (feat. Spencer Charnas); New EP “With Empty Eyes and Hollow Hearts

“Ascension" (feat. Spencer Charnas) can be streamed/downloaded at:

https://withkoji.com/@abtbofficial

A Burden To Bear released their brand new single “Ascension" (feat. Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills) to all major platforms. The single, mixed by Robin Leijon, is from their EP With Empty Eyes and Hollow Hearts due out on 9/16/22.

The band states, "'Ascension' was a song that came together very organically with all five members in the room throwing out opinions and building off each other. Spencer Charnas’ feature came about very naturally as well, as it stemmed from a conversation between Spencer and ABTB guitarist Wyatt in Kleaver Klothing’s booth at Warped Tour. While hesitant at first to work with a producer, Justin Aufdemkampe proved a trusted source of advice and inspiration for ABTB. His studio, Refraze Records, in Dayton Ohio quickly became a home away from home for the band."

Fort Wayne, Indiana's own A BURDEN TO BEAR is much like the calm before a nasty storm - captivating audiences with beautiful harmony and melody just to bring them crashing back down to Earth with a display of utter aggression and power. A BURDEN TO BEAR is the product of the hardships and triumphs of five young men who have devoted their life and soul to the music they create.

In 2020 A BURDEN TO BEAR released their single "Forlorn Hope," and it was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. "Forlorn Hope" has managed to amass over 180,000 streams on Spotify and over 180,000 views on YouTube in just over one year. The band looks to continue to improve and build upon this initial success with every song they release.

A BURDEN TO BEAR's upcoming EP With Empty Eyes and Hollow Hearts is more than just a rebirth, it is a statement of who they are becoming as both people and a band. "ABTB" is building their legacy from the ground up with this fresh, new take on melodic metalcore. The band has been working with producer Justin Aufdemkampe (Miss May I, War Of Ages) to craft and perfect their most riveting and impressive release to date. "A Burden To Bear’s new single 'Ascension' is a perfect blend of crushing guitar riffs, melodic melodies and heavy breakdowns wrapped up in one big present for the masses. It was a pleasure to produce and work along side the band with this catchy tune!" says Justin.

Adds Spencer Charnas, "It sounds like they have an early Unearth and It Dies Today influence and that is really cool."

Iconic vocalist LISA GERRARD and composer MARCELLO DE FRANCISCI share 'When The Light of Morning Comes'

Legendary Dead Can Dance vocalist and highly acclaimed film composer Lisa Gerrard has joined forces with Los Angeles-based composer/ record producer Marcello De Francisci for the stunning new album 'Exaudia', presenting a vivid collection of epic and empowering compositions.

They now offer the second taste of this album - the atmospheric ambient track ‘When The Light Of Morning Comes’, following up the gorgeous tapestry of ‘Until We Meet Again’, released in June.

Capturing the broad and ethereal majesty of their work together, ‘When The Light Of Morning Comes’ highlights the rich and soaring tone of what we can expect from their upcoming full-length. Accompanied by a euphoric and cinematic new video, which adds powerful imagery to their newest release, they are conveying the bold and orchestral inspiration that has been tethered to their new studio album since its conception.

Ms. Gerrard and Mr. De Francisci met many years ago through soundtrack work, their collaborative efforts including soundtrack scores and their first album ‘Departum‘. This recording follows Gerrard's 2021 collaborative ‘Burn’ album with Dead Can Dance bandmate Jules Maxwell, produced by James Chapman (MAPS),

‘Exaudia’ is the term used when a monarch grants a citizen of his kingdom an audience and, as a result, consents to a wish. A fitting title considering how regal this recording is. Working alongside a team of other musicians including Bahar Shah, Astrid Williamson, Daniela Arbizzi and Farhad Behroozi, ‘Exaudia’ combines the encompassing and euphoric textures of De Francisci’s production with Gerrard's evocative and haunting vocals. A feminine embodiment of poetic expression, the record plays majestically with this narrative, inviting a rich and vivid texture within each offering.

“I met Marcello while I was composing for a film called 'Kings'. He had wonderful engineering skills and I liked him as a person. After a while, we decided to try composing together and went on to compose some film scores. This work was borne out of a desire to write something together during Covid, there is also the artistic desire to embrace the opportunity to unlock our unfulfilled visions. The album is very physical in its construction and sensibility, it is a deeply sensual work that enjoys a sense of empowered subtlety," says Lisa Gerrard.

Lisa Gerrard has established herself as one of the world’s most highly acclaimed film composers, winning a Golden Globe for her work on the score for ‘Gladiator’ with Hans Zimmer. Her film work also includes ‘Whale Rider’, which received an Academy Award nomination, and ‘Balibo’, which won the Screen Music Award for Best Feature Film Score. In 2018, she received a Grammy nomination for ‘Hiraeth’, alongside David Kuckhermann, and went on to become a featured vocalist on the score for ‘Dune’ before returning to Dead Can Dance to release ‘Dionysus’ and tour in 2022. Gerrard also performs as part of the ‘Gladiator Live’ concerts and ‘The World of Hans Zimmer’ tours.

About 'Until We Meet Again', Marcello De Francisci says, "This piece is very much a story that depicts longing, distance between two people, it is an invitation to heal and a message of hope… We collaborated remotely on 'Exaudia' during the holidays between Melbourne and Los Angeles as I recall, importing Lisa Gerrard’s vocals onto my session, which her engineer Simon Bowley had sent over on the night of New Year 2021. Whatever plans I had to celebrate that evening were completely obliterated upon witnessing the emotional impact Lisa’s performance had on me. The overall track in general, as a result, was instantly addictive and therefore, I proceeded to work alone in the studio until dawn".

De Francisci began his career as a visual artist while attending fine arts at an institution founded by the famed Baroque painter Bartolome Esteban Murillo in Seville, Spain. He furthered his education at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. In 2006, he won the Best Soundtrack of the Year G.A.N.G. Award for his work on Sony Computer Entertainment’s ‘God of War’ game. He soon partnered with Lisa Gerrard, launching their trajectory of collaborating and co-writing motion picture soundtrack scores together.

As of July 22, ‘When The Light of Morning Comes’ will be available everywhere digitally. The full 'Exaudia' album will be released on August 26 via Atlantic Curve, a London-based label subsidiary of Schubert Music Europe GmbH. and can be pre-ordered at https://orcd.co/exaudia

Love and Theft Release 6-Song EP BETTER OFF via ONErpm

It’s been nearly seven years since singers Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles, collectively known as country duo Love and Theft, released a full-length project. Previously known for its contemporary-leaning songs, the duo is back with a fresh, harmony-driven approach on Better Off, a six-song EP the two wrote and produced themselves. Better Off, with the title track as a new single, is available on all platformstoday via global music provider ONErpm. A music video for “Better Off” is also in the works.

Gunderson and Liles were interviewed this week while making their 65th appearance on the Grand Ole Opry. “We’re excited to finally get some new music out and thrilled for everybody to hear the project—this [EP] is something we are super passionate about and worked really hard on,” Gunderson said, later noting that it is “probably the coolest music we’ve ever put out.”

That’s a strong statement from a Platinum-selling duo with six top 25 radio singles under its belt and more than a million followers on social media.

For Better Off, Gunderson and Liles pulled from their classic rock and gospel influences, leaning into the sounds of such legends as The Eagles, The Beatles, The Doobie Brothers and The Gaither Vocal Band. They took risks experimenting with synthesizers and tremolos to create distinct, contemporary pop-rock and pop-country sounds.

The two co-wrote each of the six songs on the EP, a process that typically started with Gunderson building a track. After working together for 15 years, each is attuned to the other’s writing styles. Gunderson describes Liles’ method as “rapid-fire,” while he keeps his ideas in his head and shares them all at once. When they add a co-writer, they already know how their duo partner will react.

“We’ve switched up the entire way we approach making music,” Gunderson explains, “so we’re excited to have that control.” Liles agrees. “It’s what we want to say,” he affirms. “It’s even more personal because this is the first time we’ve ever owned our masters and our publishing.”

In a review of the EP, Alan Cackett, the 47th member of the British CMHoF, described Better Off as a “record that teems with bright melodies, gorgeous rhythms and an optimistic vision” that’s full of “catchy hooks and killer vocals from the pair.” He notes that the two have a “new perspective and a newfound maturity that they hadn’t yet developed during [their] initial run…the result is an album that is at once intimate and expansive while staying true to the duo’s identity.”

The EP’s title track was co-written with Jared Mullins (“Homemade,” Jake Owen) and Christopher Stevens (“Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” David Lee Murphy/Kenny Chesney) and is the most country song in the collection. Bridging the gap between the sound Love and Theft is known for and where the duo’s music is headed, “Better Off,” is an acoustic guitar–driven, country-pop tune with a sexy yet playful vibe.

Accidentally on Purpose” is an ’80s-influenced, melodic pop song that showcases the higher end of Liles and Gunderson’s vocal registers, along with the airtight harmonies and synchronicity they’ve spent years developing. Billboard praised the single, writing, “Duo Love and Theft returns with a new, harmony-driven track, having just inked a label deal with ONErpm. Stephen Barker Liles’s airy tenor rides atop an appealing, laid-back groove.”

Co-written with country artist Bree Doster, the song bebops through the confusion of opening your heart to someone, only to have them walk away. “It’s a fun vibe,” Liles says, and Gunderson adds, “It gets stuck in your head, like an ear worm kind of thing.”

Other songs on the EP include mid-tempo pop rockers “Anyway” and “Tell Me What It Feels Like,” the contemporary-styled “Mirror, Mirror” and “Downhill,” which features rap-style verses juxtaposed with an acoustic guitar turnaround.

Founded in 2006, Love and Theft spent their first five years as a trio, releasing top 10 single “Runaway” in 2009. After becoming a duo in 2011, Love and Theft released its second album, featuring recurrent No. 1 “Angel Eyes,” while a third album produced the critically acclaimed single “Whiskey on My Breath.”

BOURBON HOUSE Releases Official Music Video for High Energy New Single, "Resonate"!

Heavy Blues Rock band BOURBON HOUSE has revealed the official music video for their pulse pounding new single, "Resonate." Directed and edited by Jocelyne Berumen, and filmed at the historic Henry Miller House in Wausau, WI, "Resonate" is the first of 5 songs to be released through December, 2022.

"We're inspired by so many of the rock music pioneers from the 60's and 70's and we wanted to pay our respects by creating a track that isn't just influenced by them but is a very obvious nod to them. What those decades of rock bands have accomplished with their music is timeless and still resonates today." - Lacey Crowe

Click to Purchase / Stream "Resonate" Online

Bourbon House are a modern rock ‘n’ roll band whose music is just as timeless and infectious as their predecessors Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Bad Company, to name a few. Lead by the powerful and unique vocals of Lacey Crowe, Jason Clark (lead guitar), Jake Steinmeyer (drums), and Steve Lotharius (bass) make up the Wisconsin based rock band. Crowe and Clark founded the band in 2017 and have been on an upward trajectory ever since the release of their debut self-titled EP. Following up their first album was Wild Abandon (2018), and most recently, Into The Red which was released in 2021. “Devil On My Heels” found international acclaim on the Australian and UK independent rock charts, peaking at #1 and #2, respectively. The song also won the praise of Classic Rock Magazine: "Expect delicious spadefuls of Heart, Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin with this gnarly blues rock number from Wisconsin rockers Bourbon House. Spearheaded by smoky-yet-strident siren Lacey Crowe, it's the kind of music that doesn't know whether to flirt with you or kick you in the teeth –and we mean that in a good way."

Bourbon House's music has an uncompromising honesty to it that draws fans in from the beginning. The desire to create an escape within their music is the driving force behind their artistry. Their music pulls in influences that go beyond just sonic themes and ventures into broad and interesting topics within their lyrics, as both Crowe and Clark are gifted writers themselves. Bourbon House are poised to develop their signature sound and style even further with these next releases.

Soulful art-rock outfit Seal Party presents their new single 'Kaleka', a stunning Bowie-esque piano-based composition that complements the band's most recent single 'Maison' featuring R&B organ wizard Chris Rob (Kanye West, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Anita Baker, Talib Kweli). Both songs are rich and captivating tasters of their forthcoming debut album 'MMXXII', bringing the listener to a meaninful and timeless place.

Filled with improvisation, fury, and lyrical beauty, 'MMXXII' evokes ‘70s soul, rock and R&B while maintaining a raw and exploratory approach. This eclectic work meshes unusual songwriting and musicianship with a style that is at once playful and rebellious.

As a songwriting-production duo, Chris McGrew (drums/production) and Kevin Seal (keyboards/vocals) formed Seal Party after many years of helping other artists realize their visions. On their debut record, these studio veterans let their own voices come to the fore, revealing their fury and beauty, both rock and groove. Epic melodies soar over tasty chords to tell their stories.

Surprising sounds come when sidemen step into the spotlight. Habitually session musicians, quarantine culture gave McGrew and Seal access to an empty recording studio -- namely Studio C of Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco (AKA Wally’s HydeOut), in the room of the former Wally Heider Studios, where artists ranging from the Dead Kennedys to the Grateful Dead to Herbie Hancock recorded some of their most legendary sides.

Recorded by Liam Wesley Craddock and Chris McGrew, the 'MMXXII' album was mixed by McGrew and Jaimeson Durr (Sammy Haggar, Joe Satriani, Hope Sandoval).

This record involves world-class horn players, violinists, organists and vocalists. An all-star cast of 22 collaborators includes blues and RnB royalty like Isaiah Sharkey (D’Angelo, John Mayer, Patti LaBelle) and Keyon Harrold (D’Angelo, Maxwell), punk icon Larry Boothroyd (Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine, Victims Family), bassist Uriah Duffy (Whitesnake, Fantastic Negrito), Ben Misterka (Collectivity), saxophonist Kenneth Whalum (Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Maxwell, Justin Timberlake), trumpeter Rich Armstrong (Spoon, Boz Scaggs, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Thomas Dolby), guitarist Jonnie Axtell (Psychefunkapus, Dee Snider, Tone Loc) and saxophonist Daniel Casares (Atta Kid, Jazz Mafia, the New Mastersounds).

The result is 'MMXXII' - a continuous, expansive, engrossing album that is eclectic and beautiful. Decades of studio magic seep into the tracks, like the casks flavoring the Scotch. Stretching across genre boundaries, jazz luminaries and punk stalwarts join together to create a series of unique songs.

The 'Kaleka' and 'Maison' singles can be downloaded via Bandcamp, where the full 'MMXXII' album can also be ordered. ''Maison' is also available everywhere digitally, including Spotify and Apple Music, On August 5, the digital version will be released via New Age Distribution and the CD released by X Racer Productions.

Keep up with Seal Party

MONSTER MAGNET to Reissue Classic Albums Monolithic Baby! and 4-Way Diablo on Limited Edition Vinyl

MONSTER MAGNET to Reissue Classic Albums Monolithic Baby! and 4-Way Diablo on Limited Edition Vinyl

Physical and Digital Versions out September 16, 2022

Pre-Order HERE

Psychedelic rock icons MONSTER MAGNET are pleased to announce the reissue of two seminal albums in their vast discography on limited edition vinyl – 2004’s Monolithic Baby!and 2007’s 4-Way Diablo – both of which have been out of print and unavailable digitally for years! Pre-orders for both the digital and vinyl editions of both albums are available now, set for release on September 16, 2022.

MONSTER MAGNET mastermind Dave Wyndorf says about the reissues:

"It's great to see these two albums back in circulation again. The MONSTER MAGNETuniverse isn't complete without them! Monolithic Baby! is a big, glitzy (and purposefully cynical, but aren't they all?) rock and roll record, and listening to it now reminds me of that time – the beginning of the 21st century. Even then I knew things were gonna get weird!

4 Way Diablo is a collection of songs I wrote between tours in the early 2000s but couldn't find a place for. They piled up fast, and pretty soon, there was an album. It turns out there's some of my favorite Magnet songs there!"

2004 saw the release of MONSTER MAGNET’s sixth studio album Monolithic Baby!, the follow-up to 2000’s God Says No, which cemented the Red Bank, NJ rockers in the world of space rock and roll. This 14-track journey of masterful hard rock features 11 ripping originals and three cover songs recorded in true classic Magnet style, including covers of The Velvet Underground, David Gilmour and Robert Calvert.

Monolithic Baby! is being reissued on orange vinyl with white and black splatter, as well as in a limited glow in the dark vinyl variant! Don’t miss the album Ultimate Classic Rock calls, “a revitalized, fire-breathing MONSTER MAGNET and AllMusic calls, “another collection of undeniably Wyndorfian tunes.”

Recorded in four different studios (Sound City Studios, American Studios, The Sunset Lodge and Hydeaway Studios) throughout 2006-2007, 4-Way Diablo is the seventh offering from legendary riff masters MONSTER MAGNET. Featuring rippers such as “Wall of Fire,” “You’re Alive,” and a cover of an obscure Rolling Stones song “2000 Lightyears From Home,” 4-Way Diablo is a true gem in the MONSTER MAGNET catalog.

4-Way Diablo is being reissued on white vinyl with gold and black splatter, as well in a limited, special glow in the dark vinyl variant! Don’t sleep on an album Blabbermouth called, “A mix of MAGNET styles old and new, it still bears the unmistakable stamp of one of stoner rock’s most identifiable and unique voices.”

Considered one of the most creative, diverse, and hard-rocking of contemporary American bands, MONSTER MAGNET is credited with pioneering “stoner rock”. They’re noted for the uniqueness of their sound, their authenticity as a band, their ability to grow musically, and the intelligence and wit of their songs – fusing garage rock, progressive rock, heavy metal, punk and psychedelia. In addition to musical influences, the band has always been inspired by comic book, science fiction, horror movies, and B-movies by filmmakers such as Roger Gorman and Russ Myer.

CONSTELLATIA Releases Music Video for "Empyrean"

CONSTELLATIA vocalist and bassist Keenan Oakes explains, "I remember us wanting to write a very basic song, structurally speaking, so it takes on the verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus form; a pop song in essence. Thematically, 'Empyrean' is about obsession and ecstasy, about unrelenting passion and being consumed by it all. The bridge is a musical highlight for us as a band so far, one of the special moments from 'The Language of Limbs.' It feels good to close the chapter on this first incarnation, and to look ahead to the future and more music!"

In addition, the band will officially reveal information regarding their upcoming new full-length, on August 15, 2022! Set your reminders and stay tuned for more!

'The Language of Limbs' was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The pressings are available in various formats HERE.

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, CONSTELLATIA is the collaborative vision of Gideon Lamprecht and Keenan Oakes, founders of well-known acts CROW BLACK SKY and WILDERNESSKING respectively.

'The Language of Limbs' is essentially a post-metal record with black metal and progressive influences, and a healthy dose of ambience and atmosphere; always deeply engaging with a flair for the romantic and nostalgic. "It is a record that came from a place of desperation; a musical outlet for the years of hardship both members endured in their personal lives." Gideon Lamprecht comments. "It's an album about obsession and overcoming. It's a triumphant record." adds Keenan Oakes.

Formed in September 2018, and enlisting the talents of a few key collaborators, CONSTELLATIA soon completed work on the beautiful and emotional ride that is 'The Language of Limbs'. While the drums (Played by Lawrence Jaeger) and vocals were engineered by Daniel Thackwray at City Varsity, Cape Town, all other instruments were recorded by Lamprecht at his home studio in Glencairn, where he also mixed and mastered 'The Language of Limbs'. The album features additional and high class guest vocalists, namely Alison Rachel of HONEYMOAN and renowned singer/songwriter Lucy Kruger, and is an absolute must-have for fans of CULT OF LUNA, OPETH, PINK FLOYD or WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM.

ENVY OF NONE RELEASE NEW SINGLE “DUMB (Der Dummkopf remix)”

Following the release of their debut self titled album, which charted worldwide and garnered praise from both fans and media, Envy Of None, the new project featuring Alex Lifeson (Rush), Andy Curran (Coney Hatch), Alfio Annibalini and singer Maiah Wynne have released a new digital single ( https://envyofnone.lnk.to/DumbRMX )and lyric video for a remix of the album track “DUMB” – “DUMB (Der Dummkopf remix)”.

“DUMB (Der Dummkopf remix)”, was created collectively by Envy Of None and chosen for the remix as it had proven to be one of the band’s favourite tracks from the album.

Envy Of None bassist Andy Curran comments on the process “The approach we took was to create a different version that also kept the spirit of the original. The seeds of DUMB were focused around the relentless bass line that sits under the chorus. The lyrical hook was something me & Maiah co-wrote trying to have fun with the 1+1=3 line as well as the “dumb dee dumb” lines. We always felt the song had a bit of a Euro-electronic dance vibe so on the remix we really pushed that button. Not only did Maiah add back in some her original vocal tracks which don’t appear on the original version, we added three additional drum loops, some keyboard pads and had fun with some voice samples layered in throughout the song. Lastly we added a new intro for the song as well as an outro which Maiah created after she heard some of the first few remixes passes. We really just had fun messing the hair up of this song while trying to keep its simple charm. But as per usual, it really was a joint effort - all 4 EONs had their fingers in the making of this pie! The video was also a blast to be part of. Hope you like it!”

Envy Of None, feature Rush’s Alex Lifeson, Coney Hatch founder/bassist Andy Curran, accomplished producer and engineer Alfio Annibalini and singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne, their self-titled 11 track debut album ricochets between various shades of alternative, experimental and synth rock, throwing surprises at every turn, twisting dark melodies against contemporary pop hooks.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX Reveals New Song, "Everything is Beautiful But Us"

Progressive rock collective CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX will be releasing a brand new album, 'Banefyre,' on September 9 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing the second new single from the offering, "Everything is Beautiful But Us," at THIS LOCATION.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX mastermind Justin Greaves explains, "Although this is not a 'lock down' song, Belinda's lyrics were certainly inspired by the lack of human activity we found when the first lock down began. We were going for walks where I live in the countryside and the silence was amazing, the air seemed more fresh and there was a definite increase of wildlife activity. So it made us both realise more than ever how ugly we are as a race, humans basically ruin everything.

"Musically this is one of my personal faves on the new album, 'BANEFYRE, The Musical!' It plays an integral part in the sound journey, it’s simple but powerful. Very CBP."

Singer/percussionist Belinda Kordic adds, "Justin sent me the demo with the title, I thought the song was beautiful, so I couldn’t just plonk down (write) just anything. It had to be right. The inspiration for the song hit me during the first wave of Covid. When I was over visiting Justin in the UK, and I couldn’t get back home for quite some time due to travel restrictions. So, we were spending a lot of time outside in the countryside and i was amazed at the quick turn nature took for the better, as soon as humans were removed out of the equation.

"The increased symphony of birdsong, bumble bees the size of my fist turning up in the garden, animals coming out of hiding and popping up here, there and everywhere. Nature and its inhabitants were thriving to the very fullest. As they should.

"It was beautiful, but also sad at the same time. knowing that when we get back to 'normal,'the destruction continues."

Pre-orders for 'Banefyre' are now live HERE while the album can be pre-saved across digital streaming services HERE.

The thread that binds CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX’s bold and towering discography — a dozen studio albums, a half-dozen mini-albums, a handful of compilations and swaths of bootlegs — could not be more apropos circa 2022. Since its 2004 creation by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Justin Greaves, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX has served as the voice for the voiceless, whether it be animals, the unequal and the different. Greaves and longstanding vocalist and lyricist Belinda Kordic have often proffered that these beings cannot fend for themselves. Henceforth, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX’s mission has been to shed light on the human condition and the inequalities that befall humankind and its creatures. Their battle marches on with their latest studio album, Banefyre.

Banefyre follows 2020’s Ellengæst — an effort that found CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX employ a series of notable guest vocalists alongside Kordic, prompting Metal Hammer to describe it as their “most cohesive and emotionally devastating record.” Kordic is now paired with Swedish vocalist Joel Segerstedt, who made his CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX debut last year via the “Painful Reminder/Dead is Dead” single. Piano, synth and trumpet player Helen Stanley and additional guitarist Andy Taylor complete the lineup. Greaves says Stanley and Taylor “fit so well creatively,” which has made CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX feel like a band when making plans and decisions.

Also central to this is Segerstedt. According to Kordic, the vocalist and lyricist lives a mere five minutes from her in Sweden and has quickly integrated himself into the band. “What I like about Joel is that he’s a good person,” she says. “There’s no fakeness with him; he has cajones. He’s not a bitch-talker, either. I can’t handle people who don’t have a backbone, but Joel is real and can speak his mind.”

“I like how Joel has come in and spoke for himself,” adds Greaves. “He’s in the band for the right reasons. I see him the same way as Belinda — she took an interest in the whole artistic thing behind CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX, like the vocals, lyrics, artwork and aesthetic. It’s the same with Joel. He has taken an interest in all of those things. In the past, we had people who didn’t contribute artistically and only cared about what they got out of the band. But Joel is really proactive and takes the initiative.”

Greaves assembled 13 songs (including “No Regrets,” a bonus track for his new project with Kordic, Johnny the Boy) imbued with the depth and introspection that will reinforce CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX’s standing as a band that defies genre. The album was tracked at Chapel Studios in South Thoresby, Lincolnshire, with vocals cut at Monolith Studio and Kapsylen Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. Kurt Ballou handled mixing in GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts — a pivotal move in determining the album’s overall sound.

“I love the album so much because it was a different approach with the production,” says Greaves. “For my part, it was a little bit of a reaction. I didn’t want to do the same warm, safe CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX album. I’m aware that when we did [2012’s] I, Vigilante, everyone wanted I, Vigilante again. As it so often happens with this band, people complain about the next one, then grow into it. Ellengæst is like I, Vigilante. It’s a shorter album. It hit the mark and was done really well, but everyone will expect another Ellengæst. I feared that, but I care enough not to make another Ellengæst. It’s the right thing to do. That’s why we got Kurt to mix it — we wanted that analog, raw power. Even though the album has mellow moments, those are edgy as well. We just didn’t want to do the same album twice. We’re never going to be a band that people can rely on.”

Greaves’ summation of his band notwithstanding, his distinctive guitar playing and enduring knack for immersive songwriting is the propellent behind the haunting, chant-laden “Ghostland,” pensive “The Reckoning” and forlorn “Everything is Beautiful but Us,” the band’s spot-on analysis of the retreat of humankind indoors during the pandemic that revealed nature’s priceless beauty. The album is also stocked with no less than four ten-minute-plus cuts (“Rose of Jericho,” “Down the Rabbit Hole,” “I’m Okay, Just Not Alright” and “The Scene is a False Prophet”) that are intermixed with drama and melancholy.

It all ties into Banefyre’s central theme of the persecution of people who are deemed “different” by society. The album title is a play on the song “Bonefire” that Kordic named and wrote lyrics for. In classic CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX fashion, Greaves turned it into the Olde English translation to represent the bonfires that engulfed witches and politicians through the 15th and 18th centuries, hence, the name Banefyre.

The album begins with “Incantation for the Different,” which was written and orated by Chicago-based witch, artist, author and occultist Shane Bugbee, who, according to Greaves, “brought us some positive, dark energy.” Banefyre then delves into the Salem Witch Trials (“Wyches and Basterdz”), fox hunting in Great Britain (“The Reckoning”), politicians of an unscrupulous and dishonest kind (“Bonefire”) and the New York City Blackout of 1977 (“Blackout77”).

Greaves says Banefyre’s topics may have a decidedly negative and pessimistic tone, but a glimmer of hope and joy remains. “There’s always the random bits, but overall, Banefyre is about the people who have suffered because they are different. The album covers inequality and oppression, like ‘Incantation for the Different,’ which is about overcoming when you’re put down because you’re not like everyone else.”

In true CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX fashion, the Lucy Marshall-created Banefyre cover leaves plenty to the imagination, depicting four animals seated at a table — interacting and dressed like human beings. “It’s sort of like Planet of the Apes showing what animals could do to humans,” says Greaves. “The cover was specially commissioned and is unique to the album. It’s incorporating all the classic CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX elements with the love for animals and twisting the narrative around.”

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX’s reputation was built on the back of their studio albums and live shows. The pandemic prevented the band from supporting Ellengæst, but it did provide them additional time to bring in new members to their live configuration.

“We’ve done one show since 2019,” says Greaves. “We are going to do something in Europe this year. Hopefully, we can get back on track. We’re also going to do something in the States — that’s not just talk, we’re actually going to do it. It’s well overdue. The live band is fucking amazing. We have the five of us and now we have Jordi [Farré] on drums, Paco [Fleischfresser] on synth and a really good friend of mine, Matt Crawford on bass.

“We did the Leipzig show and even though the rehearsals were better than the show itself, that lineup, our live band, is so good. Because we haven’t been under pressure to put a live band together since 2019 and spent so long talking to people, we’ve got a better band from those results. Out of disaster, we’ve got quite a good, positive thing.”

Formed in 2007 in New York City, Black Metal troupe BLACK ANVIL released their debut album, Time Insults the Mind, on Monumentum/Reflections Records in September 2009, and later that year signed to renowned independent label Relapse Records. After a re-release of their acclaimed 2009 debut, BLACK ANVIL unleashed their first proper full-length Triumvirate in September 2010. Recorded with engineer ‘General’ George Fullan (The Rolling Stones, Dream Theater) at Mark ‘The Animal’ Mendoza’s (Twisted Sister) Diamond Drop Studio on Long Island, NY, Triumvirate received critical acclaim and was hailed as an "all-around monster metal album." Pitchfork even stated, “Black Anvil’s an amazing live band… and their songwriting’s as strong as their stage presence.”

Triumvirate was followed in 2014 by Hail Death, a 70-minute journey of intensity that further established BLACK ANVIL as a modern Black Metal powerhouse and was praised by publications including Noisey, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Metal Injection, and many more. Constantly bringing their live ritual to the masses, BLACK ANVIL has participated in numerous high profile tours with Black Metal legends such as MAYHEM, WATAIN, URFAUST, and MARDUK as well as dates with AURA NOIR, NACHTMYSTIUM, IMMORTAL, EYEHATEGOD, CANNIBAL CORPSE, and many others. Additionally, the band has appeared at various festivals including the Scion Rock Fest, Beyond The Gates in Bergen, Norway and the renowned Roadburn Festival in The Netherlands.

In 2017, BLACK ANVIL dropped their fourth studio-album, As Was, the staggering 50-minute follow-up to 2014's Hail Death. Atmospheric and melodic without relenting on any of the ferocity BLACK ANVIL have always been known for, As Was seamlessly weaves through eight monumental passages of extreme metal art. More diverse, complex, and thought-provoking than anything they've done before, As Was is a stellar representation of modern Black Metal, and of BLACK ANVIL's continuous progression and songcraft. Featuring cover art by Metastazis (Behemoth, Watain, Morbid Angel) and recorded at Menegroth by Colin Marston (Krallice, Gorguts, Panopticon) with mixing and mastering done by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio (Tribulation, Funeral Mist, Watain).

About Dance Gavin Dance

Rejecting tired formulas at every step, Dance Gavin Dance merge progressive rock and post-hardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor. The group has amassed over 1.4 billion global streams, and 1.2 million album equivalent units sold across their catalog in the US alone. With hundreds of thousands of rabid fans engaged with Dance Gavin Dance on socials and their very own festival event, Swanfest, which sold out its inaugural edition in 2019 and is slated to see a triumphant return in 2022 in the band's hometown of Sacramento this April, it all amounts to a full force band facing a mainstream that has overlooked them for too long.

Dance Gavin Dance released their ninth studio album, Afterburner, in April of 2020. Since its release, the album has clocked up 135 million streams and topped a multitude of charts on two separate occasions, once with it’s digital release hitting #14 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 across the Current Albums, Alternative, Billboard Top Albums, Digital, Current Digital Albums, Rock, Heavy Rock and Current Independent Albums charts and again when the physical version was released several months later due to the pandemic, when it hit #1 across Vinyl, Internet, Alternative, Rock, Hard Music, Independent Current Albums, #3 Top Current and Billboard Top Albums and #47 on the Billboard 200 charts. This past Christmas, the band surprised fans with a special holiday gift by dropping ‘Afterburner (Instrumental) on streaming platforms. It was previously only available via a Target exclusive double disc CD.

The Afterburner 2021 US Tour, although being one of the first coast-to-coast indoor tours to hit the road post-pandemic, was successfully completed and saw Dance Gavin Dance sell a whopping 78,500 tickets across 33 shows making it the band's biggest tour to date.

As the undeniable statistics keep mounting up, the fact becomes more and more clear that Dance Gavin Dance are becoming one of this generation's most popular and enduring forces from the world of heavy music. As Pollstar put it in their recent feature on the huge success of the tour - "Sacramento, Calif.-based Dance Gavin Dance is not just any band."

Chase Rice Teases New Music: "Key West & Colorado" Set for July 29 Release

CHASE RICE TEASES NEW MUSIC: “KEY WEST & COLORADO” SET FOR RELEASE FRIDAY, JULY 29

Cross-Country Ode to Letting Go Follows Recent Release “
If I Were Rock & Roll” in Previewing Rice’s Forthcoming Album

With sold-out crowds already singing along to the unreleased song making an appearance in Chase Rice’s live set list and preview clips garnering over 1.5 million views on social media, the multi-Platinum singer-songwriter shared directly with fans that the eagerly-awaited full version of “Key West & Colorado” will be available on Friday, July 29. The reflective song is the latest preview of the forthcoming album Rice recently recorded in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio. Pre-order / pre-save “Key West & Colorado” HERE.

The song was one of the first recorded for the project during that marathon at-home session, with Rice describing it as “the heart of the record.” Written by Rice together with childhood friend/longtime collaborator Brian Kelley plus Corey Crowder, Blake Pendergrass, John Byron and Hunter Phelps on a writing retreat in Grayton Beach, Florida, the midtempo song chronicles the literal journey of coming to terms with a relationship’s end:

Somewhere between Key West & Colorado
I found God in a gold Silverado
Had to get a little lost to get a little found
Learned you can’t find love if you can’t slow down
Somewhere between that sand and the snow
Salt in the air and salt on the road
Finally let myself let her go
Somewhere between Key West & Colorado

The song also represents a sonic shift for Rice, who teamed with producer Oscar Charles to fill his living room with a vintage stand-up piano, guitars, drums and percussion, bass and keyboards while leaving out some of his usual recording tools. For the first time in his career, Rice recorded for the new project with no click track, no pre-programmed music beds – and in many cases, one-take vocals.

“I had started writing songs at home with just me and a guitar whenever the inspiration hit me; instead of heading downtown and trying to crank something out during a scheduled writing session,” explains Rice of the transformation in his creative process. “I realized that bringing the writing room into my real life – my farm, duck camp, a vacation with my friends – whatever that might look like, was making for some really great songs. So, when we started talking about getting into the studio – what that should look and feel like – I realized we already had the answer. It should feel like home.

“It was an incredible experience,” he continues. “We camped out there for weeks, usually going for 12-plus hours a day without even realizing the time was flying by because everyone was in such a creative groove. It’s definitely the most excited I’ve ever been about making music, so I can’t wait to share this new sound with the fans.”

About Chase Rice
With more than 2.3 million albums sold and over 2.3 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond – yet with a forthcoming album crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio, his sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, as evidenced by recent single “If I Were Rock & Roll” and upcoming release “Key West & Colorado.” The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.”

This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better. Freer. Unbeholden and uninhibited, somehow capable of evoking Chris LeDoux and The Chronic, campfire singalongs and stadium anthems, all at once. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the Double-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight.”

In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and stadiums with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice also consistently sells out venues across the U.S. and Europe on his own headlining tours and he will join Jason Aldean’s Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour this fall.

NYC's JESSIE KILGUSS delivers sublime Americana indiepop with new single 'Great White Shark', out today

"Kilguss artfully pulls us into her wistful nostalgia with a bit of twang and a strummy, well arranged instrumental accompaniment" ~ Guitar World

“Stellar, pure, inspired and inspiring… her voice is as clear as her vision and every element of her music is perfectly placed. While performed with impeccable precision” ~ The Spill Magazine

"Finely-wrought, deep, dark valentine... well-crafted” ~ American Songwriter

“Artfully beautiful, full of radiant harmonics, stylish rhythms, and Jessie Kilguss’ enchantress-like tones. Imaginative and numinous" ~ Seattle Post-Intelligencer

"She uses her songs to probe possibilities that lie just below the surface, allowing them to resonate in ways that allow for greater interest and intrigue" ~ Goldmine Magazine

"Fluid and poised... Her flawless lyrical and melodic aesthetic relays uncompromising emotion in a light and flowing style" ~ The Aquarian

NYC-based cinematic folk-rock artist Jessie Kilguss is back to offer a pure dose of her trademark magical realism with the single 'Great White Shark'. The first taste of her new album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?'.

It's been four years since Kilguss' latest studio album 'The Fastness'. Inspired by storytelling and emotion, Kilguss is a former actress, whose acting highlights include the film adaptation of Arthur Miller’s 'The Crucible', starring Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder, and the UK production of 'As You Like It', directed by Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall.

She made the switch to songwriting after working with her musical hero Marianne Faithfull in the London and Sydney productions of 'The Black Rider', a musical written by Tom Waits and William Burroughs, which was directed by Robert Wilson and also featured Mary Margaret O'Hara.

Produced by Adam Lasus (Yo La Tengo, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Helium)along with Kilguss and her band members, Lasus also engineered the recordings, which were mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie).

This album also features Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers, Butch Walker, Sara Bareilles), LA-based award-winning composer and producer Naren Rauch, and Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne, The Attacca Quartet), with whom Kilguss runs Musicambia, a nonprofit that brings music programs inside prisons.
"In 2018, I was helping teach a 3-day songwriting workshop at a correctional facility for girls (aged 11-14) in upstate NY with the nonprofit Musicambia. We were writing a collective song, going around the circle and everyone was adding a line. I had just read in the news that a man had been eaten by a shark and I thought it would make everybody laugh so I added my line “a Great White Shark ate a man off Cape Cod”. Even though it’s horrendous, it was so far out of left field that everyone did laugh. I got home and decided to turn my line into a song," explains Jessie Kilguss.

"For help, I turned to 'Technicians of the Sacred', an amazing anthology of ancient poetry from around the world, which I came to through Nick Cave’s newsletter 'The Red Hand Files', having recommended it as inspiration for songwriters. There’s an incredible poem in there that’s actually a spell to create gangrene of the nose. It inspired the repetitive nature of the lyrics of this song. Even though the subject matter is truly awful, it’s meant to have a light touch. It’s meant to be funny… Even though I have irrational shark fears when at the beach, I think that sharks get a bad rap. There’s this guy on Instagram (the Malibu Artist), who takes drone footage of Great White Sharks off the coast of Malibu. They’re always out there and they often come very close to people but it’s very very rare that they attack."

In addition to writing and performing her own music, Kilguss also sings with Gramercy Arms, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel, having previously performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, supporting The Waterboys during their European tour.

On July 20, 'Great White Shark' will be available across digital platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. The full album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' will be released on September 23. That same evening (starting at 8:30), Kilguss celebrate her album with a release show at Rockwood 3 in New York.

FANS OF THE DARK ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "SUBURBIA"

FANS OF THE DARK ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

"SUBURBIA" OUT SEPTEMBER 16, 2022 VIA FRONTIERS MUSIC SRL

NEW SINGLE & VIDEO 'NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD' OUT NOW

APPEARING AT FRONTIERS ROCK SWEDEN ON OCTOBER 8, 2022

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the sophomore release from Sweden's Fans Of The Dark, "Suburbia" on September 16, 2022. These Swedish upstarts are coming off a well-received debut album, which saw them seamlessly melding melodic rock with their '80s hard rock and metal influences. "Suburbia" sees them further perfecting that most agreeable formula with stunning results. A new single and music video, 'Night Of The Living Dead' is out today. Watch the video below.

Pre-order/save "Suburbia" HEREhttps://orcd.co/suburbia

The band will appear live and play songs from both their debut and "Suburbia" on October 8, 2022 at Slaktkyrkan in Stockholm for Frontiers Rock Sweden. Labelmates Treat, Art Nation, Perfect Plan, Seventh Crystal, and Wildness will also be playing. Tickets are now available and can be purchased HEREhttps://secure.tickster.com/m29k6jrw79e25lx

"Suburbia" is a sequel of sorts to the band's self-titled debut, following similar themes, both musically and lyrically and even with the theme of the artwork, while seeing the band continuing to evolve. Drummer Freddie Allen's vision for the band is to do as the great hard rock and metal bands of the '70s and '80s did, which was to constantly work on their craft and release new music with regularity. In keeping with that vision, the band set to work on their second album quickly after the release of their self-titled debut. "Suburbia" follows more or less exactly one year after said debut, which was released in the fall of 2021.

"It is pretty much a sibling to the first album, with similar themes and ideas, only this time going deeper into the world where most of us grew up, and where we first got in touch with hard rock music, horror films on VHS, 80's teen culture, and all else that shaped us - the suburbs," says Freddie Allen, main songwriter and founder of the band, of "Suburbia".

For this new album, Allen and vocalist Alex Falk are once again joined by guitarist Oscar Bromvall and new bassist Rickard Gramfors. The album spans eight tracks (another reference back to those glory days of the '70s and '80s), including two epic songs, 'The Pirates Of Maine' and 'Restless Soul', around the eight minute mark. Fans of the band's debut will be enthralled with the band's second offering. Melodic hard rock fans looking for genre innovation and a break from 'the norm' will certainly be wise to check out this striking breath of fresh air in the scene.

"Suburbia" was produced and mixed by multi-talented musician and producer Lars Fredrik Swahn (Dungen, The Amazing) and co-produced by Allen.

Fans of the Dark, is an exciting new band formed in the summer of 2020 by Freddie Allen, drummer and main songwriter, and lead vocalist Alex Falk. The pair went to high school together in Stockholm and after a few years reconnected recently with a vision to create a band which would mix the melodies and approach of classic and melodic rock with elements of the great metal music of the '80s. Their musical output over the course of their first two albums is one of the most exciting things you'll hear emerging from the fruitful melodic rock in Sweden, showcasing a tight, inventive musical approach with outstanding vocals.

LINE-UP:

Alex Falk - vocals

Oscar Bromvall - guitars

Rickard Gramfors - bass

Freddie Allen - drums
