AVOID Drop New Single + Music Video "My World" And Announce New Upcoming Album 'Cult Mentality'

One of 2021's hottest breakout bands, Seattle's five-piece AVOID, has dropped their latest single and music video "My World". Not only that, but the band has also announced their forthcoming new album 'Cult Mentality' due for release on Friday, October 14 (via Thriller Records). Speaking on today's release, vocalist Benny Scholl commented:

“We’re so stoked to share this track with y’all. From the second we started writing it this has been one we’ve been excited about it. It’s a song to turn up loud and say “fuck it” to anything getting you down. In my humble opinion, it also shows off every side of the band and gives you a taste of a little bit of everything that’s coming with future releases. Blast this shit, and welcome to My World.”

Prior to today, AVOID previously shared "COWABUNGA" and "Split (Kill It)" which together have totaled over 237,000 streams on Spotify alone and over 108,000 views on YouTube. Watch the music video for "My World" below, stream the track here, and be sure to stay tuned for more AVOID news coming soon.

ABOUT AVOID

Engaging, edgy, erratic, irreverent, wild, vibrant, fun… there’s certainly no shortage of adjectives to describe AVOID and their quest to fuel that feeling of being a part of something.

Evoking a nostalgia for the kind of music that seeps into your soul, the Seattle five-piece channel the musical legacy synonymous with their hometown while blissfully genre-hopping to create something entirely new. Good times with a message of inclusivity, with a drive to bring passion, innovation and provocation back to heavy music and pull in the community around it, AVOID crackle with the energy of a young act ready to take the world by storm.

While the world fell silent in 2020, the band seized the moment to make noise with the release of their attention-grabbing EP The Burner - and it got LOUD. Securing a sponsorship with NASCAR, the band had their music and band-branded vehicle in the official video game. Singer Benny Scholl went viral with his accidentally acapella rendition of the National Anthem at the NASCAR Vegas race, endearing himself to sports commentator Jim Rome who ran with coverage of the event for weeks.

New tracks “COWABUNGA” and “Split (Kill It)” are the start of something important, something defining - and AVOID are bringing everyone along for the ride. Hold on tight, it’s about to get weird.

AVOID are:

Benny Scholl - Vocals

Nick Olson - Guitar

Chris Echols - Guitar

Luke Ryder - Bass

Paul Jaton - Drums

Adema Release New Single "Violent Principles" + Official Music Video; Announce Summer Tour

"VIOLENT PRINCIPLES" is the second major single feat. new singer Ryan Shuck. With the band's first single being a heavy hitting screamer, and scoring as an undeniable hit for the band, "VIOLENT PRINCIPLES" shows the "other side" of Adema's signature sound: dark, melodic, and heavy. Shuck says of the new album, "360 Degrees Of Separation is going to have plenty of heavy songs with all the ripping screams and vocals that we know many of our fans want - but it will also have heavy melodic tracks in the vein of Adema's hit songs like 'Giving In'. 'Violent Principles' is one of those."

Released on Shuck's label FRAME|WORK and produced by Amir Derakh, the second major single is going to be followed by a major summer tour with good friends HEDpe, Crazytown, and Flaw. (dates below)

The video was produced by FRAME|WORK and directed and edited by Oscar Gutiérrez of The Anix.

Carousel Kings Release New Single "Something in the Water" feat. PAYCHECK to all digital outlets!

Carousel Kings released their new single titled "Something in the Water" to all major platforms today! The single is from their upcoming album titled Untitled Mixtape that was co-written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio, in Lancaster, PA.

“It’s been great exploring collabs with other artists especially with this punk rock break up song. Having multiple perspectives really pulls the dynamic of the lyrics together to tell a story I couldn't have done by myself. Wills virtuoso guitar shredding also throws this into the metal genre reminiscent of sum 41 which we both hold close to our hearts," says the band's vocalist David Alexander.

Carousel Kings is the brainchild of lead vocalist and founder David Alexander and multi-instrumentalist Will Barovick. CK began its career in Lancaster, PA as a pop punk band circa 2008. The band released two full length albums on local indie label CI Records and toured relentlessly before signing to Victory Records and releasing Charm City in 2017 and Plus Ultra in 2019. The band completed multiple US tours including two runs on the legendary Vans Warped Tour and played alongside contemporaries like Taking Back Sunday, Rise Against and Less Than Jake. They toured Japan twice, the UK and Germany before taking some time off.
CK has spent the last few years quietly writing and working on what will be their fifth studio album titled Untitled Mixtape to be released independently via their publisher and label partner Mother West. Recorded and written with longtime collaborators Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, PA, the album consists of collaborations with artists Sunday Friend, Sadgods and AJ Perdomo, and features including Saxl Rose, Rory Rodrigez, and Paycheck. It’s an eclectic blend of punk and pop and takes CK into some new ground they have yet to explore. Untitled Mixtape is scheduled for early 2023 release.

Slaves to Humanity Release Upbeat New Single "I Love It" via FRAME|WORK

Slaves To Humanity released their upbeat new single "I Love It" just in time for summer via FRAME|WORK.

"I love it is this crazy fun party song. While writing it, we wanted people to wanna play this song at parties and just have a bunch of fun to it. We kept kinda pushing that while in the writing process, just to give the song a unique vibe compared to all of our other stuff! With the lyrics, I wanted a chorus that anybody could sing along with. The lyric 'I love it' just kinda came to me while working out all the combinations I could have that melody. Nothing really felt right in that spot, until I hit I love it. I sang that line and thought to myself, 'what do I love?' And I went with that question and wrote the rest of the song as a feel good party song!" says the band's vocalist Aidan Amini.

He adds, "I love it is by far one of my favorites (although I say that every time… I just love releasing music!) and I’m so happy that we finally get to release it for everybody to enjoy over the summer!"

The band appeared on Episode 2 and Episode 10 of the show NO COVER - (The only Music Competition show w/ unsigned artists performing original songs).

WATCH it here:
Episode 2 https://youtu.be/tbtt5o6ONfI
Episode 10 https://youtu.be/eB65ihEIKRA

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County California. It’s members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the band mates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands, and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single “BATTLEGROUND” which had success in radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid 19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back” which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. The band continues to play shows in Southern California as well as build their social media presence.

Randy Houser Releases "Workin' Man" from Upcoming Album 'Note To Self' Set for 11/11

On the heels of the announcement of his sixth studio album Note To Self set for Nov. 11 via Magnolia Music Group, the Billboard lauded “golden-voiced Mississippi native” Randy Houser releases “Workin’ Man.” Listen to the song below and pre-order/pre-save Note To Self HERE.

Written by Houser with Randy Montana, “Workin’ Man” illuminates the tenacity and persistence of America’s blue-collar workers among the struggles they face day-to-day to support themselves and their families, with Billboardpraising, “Houser yields his enviable vocals with a rough-hewn delivery that lends grit to this radio-friendly track.”

Morning coffee in his steel toe boots
Drink it up, lace ‘em up, light that fuse
Ain’t stacking nothing but some IOU’s
Workin’ man

Can’t be late, can’t catch a break
BC Powder cause everything aches
Cold six pack, end of the day
Workin’ man

Singing whoa
Whatcha gonna do
Woman needs loving
And the kids need shoes
Ain’t nothing left when he pays them dues
Workin’ man

Whoa, where ya gonna turn
Daddy said, “Son,better listen, better learn
Ain’t nobody shelling out no concerns for the workin’ man”
Yeah, I’ve seen it first-hand, buddy, just like you
That’s why I’m out here singing these blue-collar blues
For the workin’ man

Note To Self, produced by Houser and Blake Chancey and featuring 10 tracks all co-written by the powerhouse vocalist, came together at a time when Houser was reflecting on what was important to him and looking forward to the future he wanted to build for himself and his family.

“It doesn’t scare me not to be the popular kid on the block. I just go and do my thing. I tour and I make a living for my family, and I love playing music live and I love creating music, and I love recording music,” Houser shared with PEOPLE.com.

Album opener and recently released “Still That Cowboy” was written by Houser, Matt Rogers and Josh Hoge as an ode to his wife Tatiana as the couple prepares for their second child together, with CMT.com sharing “Houser has never been afraid to sing country music, and ‘Still That Cowboy’ spotlights the genre’s tenets as much as anything Houser has ever released. His baritone rings against the backdrop of the pedal steel guitar as he delivers the song written for his wife.”

Currently climbing the charts at Country radio, “Note To Self,” Houser’s first taste of new music since 2019’s critically-acclaimed Magnolia, marked his “powerful return” with MusicRow boasting Houser “remains one of country music’s very finest vocalists. His return is most welcome, especially with such a strong song of regretful hindsight. His extraordinary voice is absolutely fierce as this hair-raising pile driver reaches its climax.”

With multiple sold-out shows so far in 2022, including an at-capacity stop at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Houser wrapped his co-headlining tour with longtime friend Jamey Johnson in April and heads back out on the road this summer for a slew of headlining shows, festival dates and select performances with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cody Johnson and Travis Tritt. For dates, tickets and additional information, visit RandyHouser.com.

Along with preparing new music and a relentless touring schedule, Houser landed on-screen roles in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and more, as well as the inspiring The Hill starring Dennis Quaid.

About Randy Houser
With an inimitable voice the New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up three consecutive No. 1 hits and more than four million in singles sales to date with his Stoney Creek Records album, How Country Feels. He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin' Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter) and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 to his catalogue with “We Went” from his 2016 album, Fired Up. Following 2019’s critically acclaimed Magnolia, Houser’s sixth studio album Note To Self is set for release on November 11, via Magnolia Music Group, with the title track climbing the charts at Country radio. Singer Songwriter Kimberly Kelly Releases "Black Rose" from Debut Album 'I'll Tell You What's Gonna Happen' Set for 7/8

On the heels of announcing of her label debut, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, arriving July 8 via Show Dog Nashville in partnership with Thirty Tigers, singer/songwriter Kimberly Kelly releases another taste from the forthcoming album with her take on “Black Rose.” Listen below.

Produced by Brett Tyler, Kelly’s husband a hit songwriter himself with No. 1s like “Cold Beer Calling My Name” under his belt and written by Kelly’s friend and mentor Country Music Hall of Famer Billy Joe Shaver, her powerful take on the track closes out an album that unintentionally became a tribute to the late country music legend.

“Billy Joe was such an important part of my journey into music, and since we used his quote as the title of the album, it just seemed like we should end with one of his songs,” shares Kelly. “We listened to his entire catalog and just couldn’t decide what to cut. We landed on this one thinking we could tell it from Billy Joe's point of view. He was strong in his faith, but also an outlaw. ‘The second time I done it on my own.’ I can relate to that line. Sometimes you do something again just because you want to.”

Kelly continues, “We put the voicemail he left me on the end of the track to bring it all the way around. When we started recording, I didn't set out to make a tribute record to Billy Joe, but I love how this whole project came out and I will always love him.”

The latest track follows the release of nostalgic song-of-summer ready track, “Summers Like That” which left Billboard praising Kelly’s “warm, lifting voice” as well as “Blue Jean Country Queen” featuring Steve Wariner. Listen to both tracks HERE. Kelly also recently released a video for “Summers.” Directed by Tyler Barksdale, the video brings the song to life…capturing what young love looks like. Watch HERE.

Fans can catch Kelly this Tuesday, June 28, at 7 pm CT as she concludes her 3-week residency at Nashville’s legendary venue, The Basement. For more information visit, thebasementnashville.com.

A native of Lorena, Texas, Kelly spent years in both the Texas and Nashville music scenes earning an education in experiences that have made her both fearless in her approach to creating and unafraid to defy convention when it comes to industry expectations. Those years of hard work, all while also earning a Master’s degree and working fulltime, culminated last summer in a long-awaited record deal with Show Dog Nashville. Now she is set to make her label debut. Pre-order or pre-save I'll Tell You What's Gonna Happen, HERE.

The album is already earning kudos including praise from legendary singer/songwriter and fellow Texan, Radney Foster, who shared, “If you like your Country music with fiddles and steel guitars, melodies that soar and a singer who unapologetically sings with a twang, you will love Kimberly Kelly. She’s a great songwriter and her timeless voice delivers power and emotion on this fun but often poignant collection. Don’t try to drive while you’re listening to ‘Person That You Marry.’ Don’t ask me how I know.”

Off stage Kelly possesses an inviting warmth mixed with sly self-deprecation, a winsome combo only earned with some life experience, self-awareness and nothing to prove on stage just the goods to stop a listener in their tracks. “This is not my first rodeo,” Kelly says of her Show Dog Nashville label debut. “I worked really hard in Texas before I came to Nashville. I wrote songs, put out records, did a radio tour, and played every weekend while going to school and working full-time.”

The album’s title, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, is a clever nod to her friend and fellow Texas musician, the late Country Music Hall of Famer, Billy Joe Shaver. The abbreviated quote comes from the better-than-fiction-true story of Shaver forcing his way into a Waylon Jennings recording session after the star tried to renege on recording some of his songs. Brushing off a $100 bill to go away, Shaver said to Jennings, “I'll tell you what's gonna happen. You're gonna either listen to these songs or I'm gonna whip your ass.” Waylon agreed to listen to one. The rest is history in the form of Jennings' 1973 Honky Tonk Heroes album, on which every song but one was written by Shaver.

“I landed on this album title on a dare,” Kelly says. “I was like, ‘Sure. What do I care?’ I did the Texas music scene, I’ve done time in Nashville, and I thought my time had passed when I got offered my record deal. My husband could keep writing songs and I’d just be a speech therapist. So I made this album like it's the last one I’ll ever get to make and the title is my mantra so to speak. I love good songs, and I let the best ones win whether I wrote them or not. It’s a compilation I’m proud of, and I’m thrilled for people to hear them!”

Pennies By The Pound present invigorating 'Burning Wish' single, channeling fab British prog rock

"Big and extravagant classic psychedelic rock.... this is brilliant music for here and now, wherever that may be" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A trippy ride that recalls the familiar vibes and sounds of none other than Bob Mould, The Church / Marty Willson-Piper, Marillion and Jethro Tull. Yes, all of them. Loads of flair and professionalism from the band" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Indeed a wonderful affair... Pennies By the Pound should be on everyone’s radar as a must-have album of 2021 and a band to watch in future" ~ The Record Stache

Finnish prog rock outfit Pennies By The Pound are back with their new single 'Burning Wish', an invigorating sonic offering and beautiful expression of optimism and adventure, channelled through the prism of fantastic British progressive rock. It will be released on June 8 via the Lilith label. This is the first taste of their sophomore album, expected later this year.

Once again, the band worked with Ride frontman Mark Gardener, who mastered the track at his OX4Sound Studio in Oxford, and top national producer Rauli 'Rake' Eskolin. With over a dozen No.1 records in Finland to his name in the past 20 years, he also produced, recorded and mixed their 2021 record 'Heat Death of the Universe'. Both the album and its singles - 'Indigo Screams' and 'The Waters'- were critically acclaimed.

Hailing from Helsinki, Pennies by the Pound was formed in 2016 by Johannes Susitaival as a solo project, but quickly expanded, involving musicians from his past bands. Their unique sound blends '80s prog rock and '90s-early '00s alternative rock. Heavily guitar-driven with a touch of keyboards, they love big choruses, guitar and keyboard solos, bridges and grandiose arrangements.

While still in a punk rock band, Johannes began exploring quite different musical avenues, which led to Pennies By The Pound's self-produced 'Bloodshed and the Blinding Sunlight' EP in 2018. Having found their ideal producer, they recorded demos in 2019, but only recorded their debut album in late 2020.

"Sometime last year, as it seemed that the pandemic would not be over anytime soon and it was apparent we wouldn't be able to focus on playing live shows for a while, we decided just to keep recording more music. Luckily, I had quite a lot of inspiration for new material and we started putting songs together in late summer, with Alexander Meaney joining in as an additional guitarist. Although it doesn't necessarily show in this particular song, I'd been immersing myself heavily in Genesis (both Gabriel and Collins eras), and that influenced the up and coming album - called 'Nothingside' - a lot," says Johannes Susitaival.

"This is a concept album through and through (both lyrically and musically), containing an abstract story and all that. Thus, it was really hard to decide on any one song to represent the whole, but 'Burning Wish' probably hits closest to the mark. It has got bits and pieces of both the lyrical and the musical theme of the album. It's also definitely a track that sounds a lot like what people probably would expect from us!"

As of June 8, 'Burning Wish' will be released across digital stores and streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where you can also obtain the 'Heat Death of the Universe' LP directly from the artists themselves.

Manchester indie rock/neo-folk outfit WEIMAR release blazing debut album 'Dancing On A Volcano'

"Endearing... With their mixed bag of genres, well-digested set of influences and unique eclectic sound, Weimar is one of the most intriguing bands to come from England’s northern capital as of late" ~ The Spill Magazine

“Emphatic execution of highly observant songs informed by life’s surreal and unnerving experiences... Guitars jangle, jolt and drive emotion in equal measure” Louder Than War

"Awesome... a side order of alternative artifice, artistry and Avant Garde with your pop-rock" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

“An eclectic smorgasbord of elements weaved together in an un-assimilative refreshing feat of ingenuity”AnR Factory

“Perhaps the most important band to come out of Manchester since Magazine” Aural Delights

"Highly intriguing... riveting nostalgic air but equally an instant surge of fresh endeavour and tempting" ~ Ringmaster Review

Manchester art-rock quartet Weimar have released their debut album 'Dancing On a Volcano' on CD via German Shepherd Records and digitally via Marlene's Hat Records. These 12 tracks take the listener on an unpredictable excursion through the socio-political and personal challenges of our modern age.

Themes include gentrification and cultural erosion, unsavoury characters masquerading as respectable public figures, the grit beneath the glamour, the contrast between polished façades and the decadence within. Through a maelstrom of musical styles and influences, this album paints a brutal and honest picture of human nature and culture in the 2020s.

With recording delayed by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the groundwork for the album was finally completed in the summer, the band returning to the studio in 2021 to assist with the mixing process. After three years of hard labour and lockdown-related setback, Weimar are finally ready to release their long-awaited album.

The first taste of the album was 'Soho Rain' featuring Leeds-based artist Finola, which is dedicated to the old Soho district of London (the city's seediest square mile), its dying culture and the many artistic and cultural movements that emerged there. Earlier this year, the band also released the 2-track single 'The Girls of LA' with New Order-esque B-side 'Transatlantic Confusion'.

Weimar (pronounced Vy-marr) is a four-piece made up of vocalist/ guitarist / songwriter Aidan Cross (The Bacillus, Black Light Mutants), bassist John Armstrong (The Speed Of Sound), drummer Anthony ‘Eddy’ Edwards (The Deceased) and guitarist Stephen Sarsen (Frank Is Dead, Playground).

Embracing post-punk to no wave, cabaret, psychedelia, alternative folk and gothic rock, all blended in a distinctive fusion, this album was produced by Adam Crossleyand Chris Guest of Vibratone Sound Studio. The cover art was created by acclaimed artist and writer Brian Gorman.

Since forming in 2016 and hitting the live circuit, Louder Than War named Weimar amongst its 50 Bands To Watch for 2019, the year they debuted the single 'John Doe / Curse the Songs', followed by 'Marvel To The State / Undesirable Master'. Having worked with legendary post-punk producer Simon ‘Ding’ Archer, they've also played with Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and goth legends Skeletal Family.

As of June 24th, 'Dancing On A Volcano' LP will be available everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. It can also be ordered on CD directly from the band.

LOST SOCIETY - Drop Video For New Single "Stitches"

Finnish modern metal squad LOST SOCIETY recently shook the scene upside down with “112”, the first single of their upcoming album If The Sky Came Down, which is going to be released on September 30th via Nuclear Blast Records.

With “Stitches” the band delivers a heavy pounding anthem for any modern metalhead out there while addressing serious mental health issues.

Frontman Samy Elbanna about the song: “Chapter 5 continues, and we’re heading deeper inside the human mind.
'Stitches' talks about something that is more than familiar to so many people. The fact is that no matter how hard you try to mask your traumas and past scars, they always find a way of haunting you until you come head to head with them all.
Sometimes you just have to pull out your stitches and let all the blood and hurt come out before you can finally start healing.”

He continues about the video: “Vita Pictura has once again delivered a true masterpiece. Once again the intensity and true anguish of the track get an incredible visual representation, and the viewers will definitely feel what this song is all about. The video has us in scenes of near insanity, but also in our most free state. Just as the lyric, we feel trapped by our past, until we rip off the last remaining stitches to let it all out and realize we’re not alone.”

NILE Mastermind KARL SANDERS Releases Second “Saurian Apocalypse” Single & Video

NILE mastermind and multi-instrumentalist KARL SANDERS recently announced that the subterranean slumber of his Eastern-ambient Saurian series has finally ceased with the impending release of its dark third chapter, Saurian Apocalypse, out July 22, 2022 via Napalm Records.

After revealing the album's ominous first single, “The Sun Has Set on the Age of Man”, featuring a contextual acoustic guest solo by guitar virtuoso Rusty Cooley, Sanders returns with the cinematic second single, “Skull Fuck Ritual (Skull Breach Edition)”. The score-like track begins with a cautionary chime before marching drums make way for eerie tribal voices and Middle Eastern-inspired leads on uniquely curated, exotic instruments. Its haunting aura inspires a calming yet foreboding look into the Saurian universe.

Witness the track for the first time today alongside another mind-bending animated music video.

KARL SANDERS says about “Skull Fuck Ritual (Skull Breach Edition)”:

"'Skull Fuck Ritual' was one of the earlier songs written for Saurian Apocalypse and it set the tone for much of the recording that followed. This song has a slow, hypnotic, ancient ritualistic vibe that will softly caress and then crack open your skull for Necromantic Carnal Communion with the Ancients. Please don’t listen to this track while driving or operating heavy machinery.”

Watch the new music video for

“Skull Fuck Ritual (Skull Breach Edition)”  below.

Saurian Apocalypse arrives 13 years after the release of its predecessor, 2009’s Saurian Exorcisms, and nearly 20 after 2004’s equally lauded Saurian Meditation. The musical and lyrical themes on the album detail the vexing fictional journey of Dr. Eduardo Lucciani, one of very few survivors of mankind’s self-destruction, who descends into madness after discovering the violent horrors occurring at the hands of the Saurian Masters.

Emphasized by unique instruments like the baglama saz (Turkish lute), Ancient Egyptian Anubis Sistrum, Dumbek (Middle Eastern goblet drum), glissentar and gongs, the album’s score weaves cinematic auras and deep grooves, accented by the tribal percussive stylings of original NILE drummer Pete Hammoura and returning Saurian vocalist Mike Breazeale. A wealth of musical growth and refinement, both in Sanders’ guitar technique and compositional development, is strikingly evident. Eons more than just an album of interludes or ambient scores, Saurian Apocalypse is a shining advancement in the Saurian series, and the most dynamic, detailed KARL SANDERS solo release yet.

KARL SANDERS adds about Saurian Apocalypse:

“I have been driven for years by the knowledge of an inevitable doom, of an unyielding calling to realize what seems to me a preordained fate of making a third Saurian album. It’s a record that fans have been asking about for over a decade. It’s not a record born of casual intent, it’s a record that has quietly burned within me for many years awaiting its appointed hour. I have bided my time with near inhuman patience, yet that day is now imminently upon us. This new release, Saurian Apocalypse, is a deeply personal record of quiet and exotic, hypnotic dark music spawned from somewhere deep within the Reptilian part of my brain and soul. In some way, sharing this music with fans is much like sharing the lurking, haunting visions in my skull, of quiet blasphemies and an inexorable dread of the looming demise of our species. I am beyond happy that listeners and fans will finally be able to enjoy this music as much as I and my colleagues have while making it. It is my earnest hope that the music of this Saurian Apocalypse record will bring others as much inner peace as it has me. Fuck Yes.”

Pre-Order Saurian Apocalypse HERE:

Whispering atop the ominous sands of opener “The Sun Has Set on the Age of Man” are resonant flutes and forewarning percussion, and immediately, the album’s impactful production and crystal clarity is apparent. Produced by Sanders with mixing and mastering by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, the most subtle details of instrumentation shine. “The Disembodied Yet Slither Among Us” peaks between soulful acoustic guitar renderings and droning tones, ushering in “The Evil Inherent in All of Us”, featuring another uniquely thematic axe contribution by Cooley, and surfaces as an energetic jam and standout departure from the Saurian blueprint. The journey continues with 6+ minute desolating trek “Nada Zaag”. Fans will hear an alluring Oud (Middle Eastern lute) solo by Mustafa Stefan Dill and rare acoustic jazz drums by current NILE percussion goliath George Kollias on “An Altered Saurian Theta State”, before the seductive auditory excursion “Nihil Emplexus” and its iridescent strums and ominous chants signal the beginning of the end. Sitar-like sounds immediately ensnare the listener on “Divergence: The Long Awaited Third Primordial Ascension” before hopeful lutes make way for heart wrenching electric shred. Far-Eastern stylings creep in on “Mask of Immutable Self Delusion”, a tranquil moment of atmospheric bliss, before the album closes with the 10 minute epic “No Creature More Deserving of Cataclysmic Annihilation” – featuring the deft skills of jazz guitarist Matthew Kay and the panicked, incensed narration of Jonathan “ADD” Garofoli as Dr. Eduardo Lucciani himself.

Saurian Apocalypse is available in varying formats in various territories:

Alan Parsons began his career at the age of 19 as an assistant engineer at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London working with the Beatles on their albums Let It Be and Abbey Road. Those who recently saw Peter Jackson's Get Back series got to view vintage footage of Parsons working alongside the Fab Four. Parsons would soon go on to bring his innovative style of engineering to classic albums by Paul McCartney, the Hollies, and Pink Floyd, including their 1973 masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon.

Parsons would quickly move into the role of producer, winning countless gold and platinum awards with such artists as Pilot, Cockney Rebel, Ambrosia and Al Stewart. Simultaneously, he formed the world-renowned Alan Parsons Project with songwriting partner/vocalist Eric Woolfson, producing a myriad of hits that included Eye in the Sky, Don't Answer Me, Time and Games People Play. The Parsons/Woolfson duo never toured, but rather concentrated their efforts in the studio. But after ten studio albums with The Project, Parsons began recording albums under his own name and started to play live for the first time to the delight of his millions of fans around the world.

In addition to winning a Grammy for the 35th Anniversary edition of Eye In the Sky,Parsons released his fifth solo album, The Secret in 2019. It was his first studio recording in 15 years, and it culminated in a series of worldwide tours.

During 2019, two concerts were filmed by the producing and directing team of Trinity Houston and David Minasian of IM3 Global Entertainment. The NeverEnding Show: Live in the Netherlands was released in late 2021 and One Note Symphony: Live in Tel Aviv featuring the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in early 2022 by Frontiers Records. The Houston/Minasian duo are also responsible for directing and producing the new I Won’t Be Led Astray music video. Minasian also serves as one of the song’s co-writers along with Parsons and keyboardist Kim Bullard who is currently on tour with Elton John.

Parsons was recently honored with the prestigious OBE (Order Of The British Empire) award from the Queen of England for his contributions to the arts. After receiving the award from Prince William at Windsor Castle, Parsons had expected to embark on a European tour at the end of this month with his band, but was forced to cancel on orders of his doctors after a serious spinal issue suddenly flared up. Artist BlackLip Releases New Single/Video for "WHAT HAVE I BECOME" - LISTEN!

BlackLip is a solo, genre-fluid artist hailing from Indiana, USA. Growing up in a small town as a kid, and feeling out of place in his roots of Indiana, it's become a mission to become bigger than where he came from. After splitting with previous rock group In The A.M. in 2020, BlackLip hit the studio focused on making music that counts; music that will last. Wanting to branch away from the stigma of his previous music endeavor, some really beautiful, catchy, and melodic songs were the result.

BlackLip reflects, "Making music that creates a unique emotion in the listener is always my goal. I want to be memorable. Not so much because of my image, and more because of the way my songs make you feel."

A multi-instrumentalist in his artistic nature, when you hear a song, know that you're most likely listening to his guitar playing, his drumming, bass playing, and his vocals. "What Have I Become?" is BlackLip's first release from a series of singles coming over the rest of 2022 and leading to his first full-length album.

"This release has been 2 whole years in the making. Between working with 4 different mixing and mastering engineers on this song, and constantly tweaking the mix, getting 6 different masters before selecting the final one, it has been a long process, to say the least. But we've arrived at the finish line and the song sounds fantastic! This song is about people who intentionally abuse you repeatedly whether mentally or physically, resulting in a personality change that is completely against your will. The emotion behind the song comes from a dark place." - ABlackLip

Somewhere Between The Secret And The Truth,

“I love when you finish a song and you feel like, ‘okay, this one is for sure going to make the record,’” notes Bowen of the lead single. “This one is so melody driven; it’s just singable… the way we produced it and worked it up, it fit perfectly as the opening track and I think it’s a great introduction to what people are going to hear for the rest of the album.”

The forthcoming project follows his recent six-song EP Where Phones Don’t Work, praised by American Songwriter as “a collection of heartfelt tunes and honest recollections” with lead single “When Love Comes Around” celebrated by Billboard for “[retaining] a newcomer’s energetic fervor, melded with his signature blend of sounds from across the wide spectrum of Texas Music” and honored by MusicRow with a “DISClaimer” Award, noting that the “perennially popular… honky-tonker can always be counted on for country excellence.” MusicRow repeated the honor for follow up “Phones Don’t Work,” describing the track as “a perfect performance.”

About Wade Bowen
Twenty years and some 4,000 shows into his career, the name Wade Bowen has become synonymous with authentic Country music – and for good reason. An artistic descendant of American icons like Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen and more, Bowen is a contemporary link in a Texan chain of roots-rock poets stretching back more than 50 years – yet his ambition never ended at the state line.

Seen as one of the genre’s finest and most genuine modern voices, Bowen’s approach stays rooted in tradition, but also stands on the creative cutting edge. His focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality and shifting his sonic territory to match his life, as evidenced by uplifting lead single “Everything Has Your Memory” off his forthcoming album, Somewhere Between The Secret And The Truth, set for release August 12 via Thirty Tigers.

Wielding a knack for direct, poetic songwriting that never panders, Bowen matches his gravel-road growl to an organic sound spanning the whole of Texas and beyond, tapping both country and rock influences. A dozen albums have shown his sonic diversity – including six studio sets, two live collections, a gospel album and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan Randy Rogers. Along the way, he’s scored hits and accolades based on quality, not quantity, and continues to perform around 200 nationwide shows each year – including multiple appearances on the venerated Grand Ole Opry stage.

Speaking on the highly anticipated news of the release of their new album, We Came As Romans guitarist, Josh Moore shares

Speaking on their brand new track, "Plagued", We Came As Romans guitarist Josh Moore shares

"We are so excited to finally be able to announce the release of our next record Darkbloom. This will be our first record in five years, and we want to thank you all for being patient with us as we were figuring out if we could, and how we could continue moving forward as a band. We wrote this record about all the feelings we felt, and all the emotional places we lived in, navigating the loss of our brother Kyle. Every song is about a different part of our lives over the past few years, an insight to the struggles we had, and how we were able to make it to where we are now. We hope you all can take a deep dive into these songs and connect with us - and if you're feeling any of the ways we did, we hope these songs can help you push forward.

This record is dedicated to Kyle - we'll never forget you, and we will never stop saying your name."

Speaking on their brand new track, "Plagued", Moore continues

"We've been waiting forever to release this song, and we're stoked to finally put it out! We finished writing Plagued in January 2020, so it's great to finally share it with our fans. My friend who I do a ton of writing with, Nick Sampson, texted me a little video of this idea for a riff he was working on - and I loved it. So I drove over to his place and we finished the song together - and then our friend Ryan Leitru came in and we all sat down and wrote the vocals to it. Over a year later, when we were in the studio recording the album with Drew Fulk - we smoothed out just a few parts and the song was done! And now here we are - over two years later, able to share Plagued with you!

Lyrically, Plagued was about a part in the grieving process we all went through - feeling like the anguish you're dealing with, then anger you're dealing with, is turning you into a different person. That you're watching yourself change into someone you don't want to be - being consumed and overwhelmed by your grief. It's an incredibly difficult thing to live with, and I hope this song can help anyone who's feeling the same way."

Echos Release Official Video For New Single "Shiver"; New Album 'Affirmations' Due Out On July 15th via Seeking Blue

Industrial tinged, alt pop duo, ECHOS have dropped the official music video for their new single, "Shiver" today, stream the track HERE and watch the video below. Combining an ethereal fragility with an astonishing emotional power, 'Shiver' is the fourth single released from the duo's incredible upcoming album, 'Affirmations', due out via Seeking Blue on July 15th, pre-save the album now HERE.

Speaking on the new single and music video, songwriter and vocalist Lexi Norton shares

"Shiver is about my ongoing battle with depression and anxiety — it was written in the depths of quarantine when I was going through a really hard time and felt really alone in all of my thoughts. It’s a letter written to myself from a very lonely place about toying with the idea of “what would happen if I were to let my pain win?” It’s hard to talk about, really.

I want to shine a light on the fact that this is a very real issue that a lot of people struggle with —and that I still sometimes find myself struggling with — I'm so grateful for my support system and for my therapist for helping me find ways to navigate and understand my brain. I think the more we talk about it, the more comfortable and less alone we feel in our experience.

This entire album has been very healing for my inner child (who was played by Quinn in all of the music videos) — seeing myself through the eyes of 'younger me' helped me see that my pain is not what defines me and that I do matter and things will get better. There are people who want to help. "

ECHOS have released 3 previous singles from 'Affirmations' prior to "Shiver", "King Of Disappointment", "New Eyes" and "Sick" which have clocked up nearly 900,000 Spotify streams and 127,000 YouTube views combined since their release.

ABOUT ECHOS

ECHOS has matured from their early roots as electronic dance music darlings, to creating emotionally commanding, and cinematically vivid alternative-pop with eminence.

Having worked with established curator MrSuicideSheep and his label Seeking Blue for the last 5+ years – ECHOS has seen the fortune of millions of streams, impressions, and eyes on their music.Their breakout track "Saints" has had over 1.6 million views on YouTube and 32.7 million streams on Spotify alone.

Finding importance in the physical, ECHOS has not only seen huge gains digitally, but they have also supported large-room sold out tours with electronic acts like Grammy Award winning DJ/Producer Illenium, with whom they collaborated on massive track "Afterlife" which has over 14 million YouTube views and 20.5 million Spotify streams alone and have performed on the festival stages of Electric Forest, Snowglobe and more as well as a US tour with Alternative metallers I See Stars.

With their upcoming album, 'Affirmations' shifting to a deeper emotional focus, ECHOS lyricist, co-songwriter and vocalist, Lexi Norton has used these tracks as an outlet to document the battlefield of her battles with mental health and as an outlet to process the thoughts and feelings that don’t quite make sense.

ECHOS have nearly 750,000 monthly Spotify listeners and have over 500 million cross-platform streams to date, across their catalog.

Since its inception in 2015, the enigmatic ritual collective HEILUNG has been paving melodic paths to the past with their unique and mystifying sound. Evading all conventional genre tags and the confines of any specific labels, the group aptly self-describes their sound as “amplified history,” emphasizing their ability to connect modern society with the rudiments of humanity’s beginnings through music. HEILUNG once again journeys back in time with its new chapter, ‘Drif;’ however, unlike previous offerings that centered around prehistoric northern Europe, album number three will explore other great rudimentary civilizations outside of Europe.

“All the songs on ‘Drif’ have their own stories,”  adds HEILUNG throat singer and one of the band’s three composers, Kai Uwe Faust. Each has its place and sense of belonging, with inspiration not only from Northern Europe, but from the ancient great civilizations,” explains the band. “We took the ancient surrounding advanced civilizations in account, because our ancestral Nordic civilizations did not just pop up, exist and disappear in isolation. Already in the Bronze Age, we found silk on German land that was imported already from the far, far East 3000 years ago. From the Viking age, we found beads that were brought there from present-day Syria high up in the Northern mountains.

“Centrally important concepts, still in extensive use today, like the number Zero and all the mathematical universes deriving from it, the use of iron and the general concept of settling all originate from traditional high civilizations outside the north and still fundamentally changing our ancestor's world.

“With singing these primordial songs we want to give tribute to these cultures, reconnect to the beginnings and remember that we all, from East to West, from past to present, are connected through the exchange of ideas and inspiring each other.”

Meaning “gathering,” ‘Drif’ serves as more than merely a gateway that bridges history with modern day society, but is also a statement of the strength in unity and togetherness, which will come as no surprise to those who have experienced HEILUNG’s live ritual, in which every ceremony starts with a reminder that “we are all brothers.” “‘Drif’ means ‘gathering,’' explains HEILUNG. “A throng of people, a horde, a crowd, a pack. In symbiosis with the album title, ‘Drif’ consists of a flock, a collection, a gathering, a collage of songs, that much like little flames were seeking towards each other, to join, to bond, to create, and be greater together.”

While HEILUNG features authentic and archaic instrumentation that ranges from rattles and ritual bells to human bones and throat singing, their captivating brand of music is far from primitive. Producer and founding member Christopher Juul implements subtle electronic elements that elevates the musical atmosphere and provides a more in-depth and layered soundscape.

“This album has very clearly dictated its own path. Our attempts to tame it were repeatedly fruitless, and once we came to this realization, the creative flow surged forward with immense force. So much so that sometimes it felt like the songs wrote themselves,” the band adds.

HEILUNG’s success has been unprecedented, achieving milestones in its few short years of existence that many do not see in a lifetime. The collective already had rapidly been growing a buzz upon the self-release of their first full-length, ‘Ofnir,’ in 2015, but their dizzying upward trajectory really took off from the moment they set foot on the stage at Castlefest in 2017 for the now-legendary debut of their live ritual. Luckily for those who were not fortunate enough to bare witness to this magical event, the full ceremony was captured on film, having since been viewed by tens of millions of fans across the globe.

As HEILUNG trekked across Europe and brought their mystifying experience to new audiences, talk of this new band and their stunning ceremony made way to Season of Mist label owner Michael Berberian, who quickly offered the band a record contract after seeing their undeniable musical impact for himself.

By 2019, HEILUNG launched their second full-length record, ‘Futha,’ which contrasted the masculine and battle-heavy themes of their debut with a feminine counterpart that celebrated fertility and female energy. Upon the first week of the record’s release, it graced the Billboard charts with coveted numbers, debuting at #3 on the Heatseekers Charts and #4 on the Billboard World Music Chart, placing on a total of seven Billboard charts while meeting critical-acclaim from the press on a global scale.

Having already made its way around Europe, HEILUNG announced its first ever North American tour for the start of 2020, which sold out entirely within 72 hours of ticket on-sale. The band later returned to the United States and performed their live ritual for a sold out audience of 10,000 people at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO (USA), further solidifying their early legacy status.

By this time, the band’s music started to appear in places outside the confines of music venues, videos, and vinyl. From hit television series like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Vikings’ to video game giants like ‘Conqueror's Blade VII: "Wolves of Ragnarök’ and ‘Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’ to the blockbuster Robert Eggers film ‘The Northman,’ HEILUNG’s music has risen far above the underground and has transcended into a greater world. Even a global pandemic couldn’t slow down HEILUNG’s success; it only strengthened them and gave them the gift of time to complete work on album number three, ‘Drif.’

According to Greek philosopher Pythagoras, three is a divine number, signifying harmony, wisdom, and understanding. He also believed it to be the number of time – past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end. Purposefully or not, ‘Drif’ embodies this philosophy, putting forth a divine work of art that ties together the beginning of civilization with the modern world today. Make no mistake, HEILUNG still does not represent any modern political or religious ideology, but rather delivers a humbling reminder of where we came from. “Remember, we are all brothers. All  people, beasts, tree and stone and wind, we all descend from the one great being that was always there, before people lived and named it, before the first seed sprouted.”

LaMacchia offers another taste of his debut solo album today with the release of the latest single and music video for “Put You Down,” a moody confessional with new wave and post punk influences. Metal Injection is exclusively premiering the haunting video, filmed in a cryptic basement where surprises lurk in the shadows. See their take on it here: https://metalinjection.net/video/john-lamacchia-streams-downtrodden-new-single-put-you-down

The single is from Thunderheads, out now via Brooklyn imprint Aqualamb Records. The nine-track stunner is the latest works of the accomplished musician John LaMacchia, known for his work as the guitarist for Brooklyn hardcore/prog-metal group Candiria. On the new material, LaMacchia pushes the envelope further with a fresh experimental indie rock vibe, featuring layered sonic nuances and male-female vocal interplay that presents a dimensional new palette that is comparable to Massive Attack, Doves and Radiohead.

Previous singles from the album have included “Bled Out,” a deep dive through crunchy guitars and free-falling bass, entwined with the candy-sweet vocals blend of LaMacchia and Sabrina Ellie, as well as “Angels Delight,” one of the darker orchestrations on the album, featuring the lush vocals of Candice Freshko and full of pulsating electronics and evocative guitar that show off the versatile talent of LaMacchia.

Composed and recorded over the course of 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic break, Thunderheads plays like a lullaby for the apocalypse. With healthy doses of self-respect and emotional bravery that serve as a salve for our pandemic-weary heart, it allows listeners to escape a world that is falling apart with music and creativity.

In addition to John LaMacchia, who has recorded all of the guitars, vocals, keyboards and programming for Thunderheads, additional guest contributions come courtesy of Kellii Scott (Failure) on drums, Michael MacIvor (Candiria) on bass guitar, Mario Quintero (Spotlights) on keyboards and Andrea Horne (Vaureen), Candice Freshko and Sabrina Ellie on vocals.

LaMacchia will play the new material live this summer with new tour dates announced, including this week at Brooklyn’s hallowed Saint Vitus.

June 23 @ Saint Vitus (Brooklyn, NY)

August 6 @ Ortlieb’s (Philadelphia, PA)

Thunderheads is now available at Aqualamb Records’ website with blue and pink vinyl variants, CD and digital options. Each purchase comes with an accompanying 100-page book filled with lush artwork, drawings, lyrics and additional content to get inside the mind of LaMacchia and the creative process.

About LaMacchia
LaMacchia is the new project led by musician and artist John LaMacchia of Brooklyn prog-metal’s legendary Candiria. The result is what we wish post-aughts music would have sounded like; layered with new-wave moodiness, and akin to Autolux, Massive Attack, Doves and Liars, to name a few. And with the musicians he sought out to fulfill that burden, including Kellii Scott on drums (Failure), Michael MacIvor on bass (Candiria), Mario Quintero (Spotlights) and vocalists Sabrina Ellie, Candice Freshko and Andrea Horne (Vaureen).

Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman returns to Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium this Thursday, June 23, and continues each Thursday night through July 28. The series kicks off with The Del McCoury Band, followed by Dan Tyminski, Earls of Leicester, Dailey & Vincent and The Steeldrivers, leading up to the final night with a performance from GRAMMY Award-winning Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.

All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. CT and will follow a 6 p.m. CT pre-show “Pickin’ on the Plaza” event sponsored by Springer Mountain Farms and Farm Bureau Health Plans on the Ryman’s PNC Plaza, featuring live music from local bluegrass artists and bands presented by 650 AM WSM. Single ticket prices start at $35.

Over 75 years ago in December of 1945, Bluegrass was born on the famed Ryman stage when a young banjo player named Earl Scruggs joined Bill Monroe’s Blue Grass Boys on stage for the first time. As they combined harmonies, upbeat tempos and a new sound referred to as “high lonesome,” the result was a new, energetic sound of country music that lifted crowds from the Ryman’s historic church pews to their feet. “Bluegrass” was born, and the Ryman became forever known as the “Birthplace of Bluegrass.” The venue honors Monroe’s legacy with a life-size statue on site, unveiled in 2017. Learn more about Monroe and his legacy HERE.

After sitting vacant for nearly two decades after the Grand Ole Opry relocated to its new home, the Ryman underwent renovation and reopened its doors on June 3, 1994. That same year, the venue introduced the first of what would become its annual “Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman,” which featured Bill Monroe and Alison Krauss. Now more than 25 years later, the Ryman continues to celebrate bluegrass music’s contribution to music history with artists and fans alike.

Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman 2022 Lineup:
June 23 – The Del McCoury Band
June 30 – Dan Tyminski with Hawktail
July 7 – Earls of Leicester with East Nash Grass
July 14 – Dailey & Vincent
July 21 – The Steeldrivers with Troubadour Blue
July 28 – Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder
