DYMBUR is a Folk Metal band, formed in Shillong, Meghalaya in February 2012.

“DYMBUR” is a word of KHASI origin that translates into English as “Fig Tree”.

The KHASI people are an indigenous tribe, who live in the State of Meghalaya which is in the north eastern part of India.
‘DYMBUR’ - The fig tree symbolizing rebirth, progression and evolution, of victory after struggle, Fresh leaves from old branches forming new shapes defining one of nature’s basic laws, the ability to regenerate and grow anew after a dry spell.
On November 2021, Dymbur announced the band's shift towards folk metal, which we termed as 'KHASI THRAAT FOLK METAL

NIGHTFALL Shares Live Video for "Meteor Gods," Announces Live EP

Greek metal masters NIGHTFALL are now premiering the official live video for the song, "Meteor Gods," which was recorded during their live 'At Night We Play' performance in Athens (GR) in November 2021. The song is taken from the band's latest full-length, 'At Night We Pray.' The video can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

The band has furthermore announced the release of a live EP, 'In the Temple of Ishtar,' featuring two tracks from the same concert, which will be out on July 22, 2022 on all digital streaming platforms. Pre-save the EP HERE.

Vocalist Efthimis Karadimas comments: "This is 'Meteor Gods' live! NIGHTFALL had been away from stages for long time, as dedicated studio act exclusively. But no more! No f***ing more! We now are in the process of reestablishing our old fame as a powerful live act, and this very video is exactly about that: The live experience. Together with the 'Witches' live video [recently uploaded in NIGHTFALL's official YouTube channel] leave no doubts about why you must catch us live! We are so much into delivering our music on stage, there's nothing that could bring us down."

'At Night We Prey' , an album about depression's martyrdom and how societies mistreating and stigmatizing those who suffer, is out NOW and can be streamed, downloaded, and purchased HERE.

NIGHTFALL will release of a live EP, 'In the Temple of Ishtar' featuring two tracks of this show, which will be out on July 22, 2022 on all digital streaming platforms.

It has been seven long years since the world was last blessed with new music from the melodic blackened death metal stalwarts of NIGHTFALL. While the band has been absent from the scene since the release of 2013’s Cassiopeia, their legacy has not been forgotten. Comprising the holy trinity of Greek metal – along with ROTTING CHRIST and SEPTICFLESH – NIGHTFALL was the first extreme act in the country to sign an international deal, introducing the world to the burgeoning Mediterranean scene in the early 90s. Now, the band is plotting a triumphant return with At Night We Prey, the darkest and latest chapter of NIGHTFALL’s already storied career. Unlike past efforts, the band abandons any gothic aesthetic, traversing more into a melodic assault that calls to the sounds of Gothenburg, displaying an obvious maturation from the band that showcases their most serious, evolved, and tightest effort to date.

During the first decade of NIGHTFALL’s lifespan, the band headlined stages across Europe. Thereafter, went on to dominate international festivals such as Brutal Assault, Sonisphere, and Wacken, the latter of which the band solidified their legacy as the first ever Greek band to earn an envied spot at the renowned festival. The band eventually made the decision to switch to a studio act before they went completely silent. When reflecting upon the sudden disappearance after a steady rise from the underground, vocalist and founding member Efthimis Karadimas explained that it was due to an all too familiar beast – depression. “It's because of depression that kicked in as early as mid-00s. I can write for hours and get into details about stuff gone wrong or mistreated situations, but the basis of all discouragement to move on has been depression and the effort required to get over it.” Despite the dark days, Karadimas did not abandon music entirely, moving on to form THE SLAYERKING, a gothic doom metal band that has released two agonizing full-length records between 2016-2019.

Alas, the abrupt departure of the band was not the final “goodbye” as NIGHTFALL has been reinvigorated with a new lineup and coveted deal with Season of Mist. Karadimas has reunited with original NIGHTFALL guitarist Mike Galiatsos, who helped define the band’s sound during the early years. With the addition of drummer and producer Fotis Benardo (ex-SEPTICFLESH) as well as guitarist Kostas Kyriakopoulos (THE SLAYERKING), the band is finally ready to release the tenth studio album At Night We Prey. In addition to the long-awaited new music, Season of Mist will also be re-issuing the band’s original albums that were produced by Holy Records back in the 90s. This is not the only news the band has to share as NIGHTFALL has also vowed to finally perform again. “We are gonna play these live, including stuff never played live before,” says Karadimas.

At Night We Prey is a very dark and personal effort, tackling the topic of Karadimas’s battle with depression. “A beast I have experienced its teeth deep into my soul, I decided to come out and share that experience with metalheads,” Karadimas laments. “This is the least I can offer now to the big fight against depression. If we do not stop this, it will eat us all alive. Share your pain, speak openly about it. This is the only way to kill the demons in your mind.”

BELPHEGOR Release Video For New Single "Virtus Asinaria - Prayer"

Diabolical death metal squadron BELPHEGOR have released an atmospheric video for their brand new single, "Virtus Asinaria - Prayer," which is the second single from their upcoming twelfth full-length The Devils, due out on June 24th via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS. "Virtus Asinaria - Prayer" is a change of pace with its more sustained yet inherently sinister approach, slowly luring you in with entrancing melodies and ceremonial chants that indicate impending doom. The video for the song was partially shot at the scenic and infamous Neudegg Alm in Abtenau, Austria, and it can be watched below.

HELMUTH states:
"Our new video for the track 'VIRTUS ASINARIA – PRAYER' pairs BELPHEGOR´s bizarre live procession with an intimate ritual of sulfur, passion & blood. For he shall rise, heretic goat of flesh & lust! It stands for what BELPHEGOR has always stood: liberty and the everlasting spiritual & bodily manifestation of carnal sin upon this rotten world!” In Musick, Helmuth

With The Devils, long-running diabolical death metal titans BELPHEGOR unleash their twelfth studio album upon the masses, which proves to be one of the strongest and most elaborate records in the group’s career. Mixed & mastered at renowned Fascination Street Studios by Jens Bogren (KREATOR, ROTTING CHRIST, AT THE GATES), The Devils sounds absolutely crushing and dynamic, sonically pushing the immense variety of the eight tracks to new heights.

Blending German and English lyrics, the lead single "Totentanz – Dance Macabre" is as ferocious as it gets with its insane barrage of blast beats, spiteful lyrics, and sinister guitar melodies. "Glorifizierung des Teufels" (‘Glorification of the Devil’) and "Virtus Asinaria – Prayer" offer epic, mid-paced grandeur, chanted vocals, and choirs adding new shades of black to their stylistic palette. The title track or "Damnation – Höllensturz" proves to be a more complex piece, shifting moods and tempos with ease and expanding BELPHEGOR’s blasphemous onslaught with fascinating twists and turns. Rounded off by impressive artwork created by Seth Siro Anton (SEPTICFLESH, NILE, PARADISE LOST), The Devils marks the band’s third collaboration with one of metal’s most prolific designers. Ultimately, The Devils is an album that musically builds upon BELPHEGOR’s trademark sound, in essence, a combination of traditional death and black metal, deeply rooted in the 90s, yet boasts intricate compositions and detailed arrangements underlining their outstanding position within the international extreme metal circuit. Known as a tirelessly touring band, BELPHEGOR currently presents a few of the new songs during a European tour with I AM, MORBID, and HATE, before hitting South America in May/June 2022, and an intense festival season including Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Sweden Rock and many more.

Nashville's Ryman Auditorium Named Rock & Roll Landmark

Announces Multi-Year Partnership with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Daytime Tour Exhibit to Launch Later This Year

Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium has been designated as an official Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In a dedication ceremony held yesterday, Mark Fioravanti, President of Ryman Hospitality Properties, and Greg Harris, President and CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, made the announcement at the Ryman, which is celebrating its 130th anniversary.

Joined by Nashville Mayor John Cooper and multi-platinum-selling band Old Dominion, a historic marker was unveiled to celebrate the milestone. The Ryman joins 11 other rock & roll landmarks throughout the country including Austin City Limits and Whisky a Go Go, among others.

“It’s spiritual, and it’s one of the reasons she’s called the Mother Church. Like any good mother, she commands respect and makes you feel at home. As Music City and Country Music continue to expand around her, she remains the center of the family,” said Matthew Ramsey, lead vocalist of Old Dominion. “She’s a beacon and a bucket list experience for us all, creators and fans alike.”

The Ryman and Rock Hall also used this opportunity to announce a multi-year partnership, which will include a new daytime tour exhibit at the Ryman scheduled to open later this year. The upcoming exhibit will feature the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees who have graced the Ryman stage over the years.

“The Ryman is one of the most storied music venues in the world. With an unmatched role in popularizing country music — one of the pillars of rock & roll — its legendary stage has hosted performances by a staggering number of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees and continues to do so today,” said Harris, “We recognize the significance of Ryman Auditorium and are thrilled to designate this iconic venue as a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark.”

Of the 351 artists and individuals who have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, more than 100 have also graced the Ryman's legendary stage. Ten-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Bonnie Raitt, performed a sold out show last night, where she also paid tribute to the Ryman’s mark on rock & roll history.

“The Ryman has played an important role not only in the history of Nashville, but in country music and rock & roll as well,” said Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bonnie Raitt, “This stage holds a special place in my heart as I'm able to perform live with many of the incredible Nashville songwriters in the audience whose work has enriched my life and music. I’m honored to help pay tribute to of one of America’s great rock & roll venues.”

Since the first concert held on May 4, 1892, the Ryman has welcomed an array of artists, entertainers and speakers on its hallowed stage – from magician Harry Houdini to comic actor Charlie Chaplin and former president Theodore Roosevelt to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., plus music icons from all genres including Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Elvis, B.B. King, Lizzo and Harry Styles.

“While the Ryman may be best known as the Mother Church of Country Music and the most famous former home of the Grand Ole Opry, the venue has always played host to a wide variety of performers, including many of the very first practitioners of what would become rock & roll music,” said Fioravanti. “We are honored to receive this high distinction from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and be included among such iconic rock & roll landmarks.”

OCEANHOARSE Release New Single & Video for "Heads Will Roll"!

Today, Finnish heavy metal act Oceanhoarse have unleashed their brand new single "Heads Will Roll" onto the world. The single comes along with a music video, that you can watch below.

Ben Varon comments:

"We've been working on 'Heads Will Roll' for a few years, as it took a while for us to find the right groove for it. But we've believed in the song's potential from the beginning, so we kept at it. Finally, with the help of producer Kari Huikuri, we managed to capture the song as we feel it should be, while playing it live in the studio. No click tracks, just four musicians locking in and going for it. I think that energy shows through the end result!"

He continues:

"Lyrically, the song is another take on one of my 'favorite' subjects, which is corruption, tyranny and overall inhuman behaviour. Unfortunately, this song feels more relevant than ever right now..."

Having released their debut studio album Dead Reckoning in 2021 via Noble Demon, followed by multiple single releases, Oceanhoarse like to stay busy and might be one of the most remarkable and hard working newcomers out there right now. The band's explosive mix of crushing riffs as well as intense and groovy arrangements not only brought the band on tour with Swedish progressive metal masters SOEN recently, but also praise from fans and press alike. So make sure to check out the band's new music video or listen to "Heads Will Roll" through your favorite streaming platform HERE

A Rising Force New Release “Eclipse” Set For Worldwide Release June 3rd, 2022

A Rising Force is set to release their second full-length studio album “Eclipse” On June 3rd 2022, fresh off the tail of their previous album “Undertow”.

The new album contains 10 new tracks, featuring the first single “Believe”, which is also their brand-new video, which can be viewed below.

“When we were in pre-production for the album, we decided to go to Drop C tuning on “Believe” and add 4 different guitar parts on it to give it a very heavy rhythm,” says guitarist Leni DiMancari. “When it came time to write the story boards for the video, our production lead Mike Voegele and I took a far left turn from what the song was written about with the story line. It initially went from a song about the rise and fall of a televangelist to a scary journey into tarot, Ouija , the occult, with an ending that will floor you. It’s like watching a scary paranormal series on the travel channel and then having it come to life in front of you, with a surprise ending. ”

And the other band members are excited about the new video, as well:

David Reed Watson: “I’ve always been drawn to the darker aspects of psychology and what makes people tick. This video exemplifies that, and my fascination with the tarot.”

Lane Allen: “I loved the overall look of the band and shots in the video. It reminds me of early Van Halen" Billy Schlump

“Outstanding video. Very well done and put together. It draws the viewer in and locks you in until the very end.”

Brian Lorenson: “Disturbingly creepy video with a great story line and a great song along with it.”

The band recorded basic tracks in March of this year at Winterland Studios, then returned to Logic Studios for production and engineering by Brian Bart, who co-produced the first album with DiMancari.

“We worked in pre-production for 6 months to fine tune this record. The band wanted it to feel more current than the last one, yet still be commercially heavy. We ‘Believe’ we have that in this one.” Leni DiMancari

Additional vocals were recorded at lead vocalist David Reed Watson’s Kundalini studio and mastered at Logic Recording and Programming.

“The second album is always harder to do, and there’s a little pressure on you to try to out-do the last one.” says guitarist Leni DiMancari. “We started writing the new album within weeks of finishing the first one, while in the middle of a pandemic. This album is a lot heavier than the last one, and we are really proud of how it turned out.”

Starbenders Release New Single + Music Video "If You Need It" via Sumerian Records

Atlanta-based glam punk rockers Starbenders have dropped their new single "If You Need It" and the accompanying music video via Sumerian Records. Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Kimi Shelter commented:

"The band recorded ‘If You Need It’ during a very difficult time in our lives. The sands were shifting beneath our feet as we stood in the studio. The sentiment of the song is captured in the chorus, “I’ve got love if you need it, drugs to keep it even. I can’t take the pain.” It’s impossible to fix people and that doesn’t mean we didn’t love them enough or do enough. Pain is a dignity that we alone have to transmute. The result is a metallic clash between feathers and switchblades."

Prior to today, Starbenders released their track "Seven White Horses", as well as their deluxe album "Love Potions (Zodiac Deluxe)" which has five additional songs captured during the making of their full-length debut "Love Potions", including a Celtic-tinged, mandolin-laced interpretation of their single "BITCHES BE WITCHES" along with a trip-hop, nineties inspired remix of "Push". Watch the music video for "If You Need It" below.

TEMPLE OF VOID SHARE NEW SONG “THE TRANSCENDING HORROR”

NEW ALBUM SUMMONING THE SLAYER OUT JUNE 3 ON RELAPSE RECORDS

PRE-ORDER/LISTEN:

Detroit death-doom force TEMPLE OF VOID’s Relapse debut, Summoning the Slayer, is out NEXT WEEK on June 3. Today, TEMPLE OF VOID share the third single “The Transcending Horror”. Listen now on all streaming platforms HERE and watch the video below.

Summoning The Slayer is out June 3 on LP/CD/CS/Digital. Physical pre-order via Relapse.com are available HERE. Digital Downloads/Streaming HERE.

The critically acclaimed, Michigan-based quintet—featuring Alex Awn (guitars), Don Durr (guitars), Mike Erdody (vocals), Jason Pearce (drums), and Brent Satterly (bass)—hunkered down during the last two years, expanding upon their brand of fusty, artfully brutish death-doom with equal parts process and imagination. The outcome is an album that feels massive yet sepulchral, exploratory yet distinguishable—as if crafted deep below and inspired by all the things (mentally and physically) that come with their subterranean endeavor. Summoning the Slayer creepily evolves TEMPLE OF VOID.

Watch the “Deathtouch” music video, directed by The C.O.I.N., AT THIS LOCATION.

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Sumerlands, Candy, and more,) Summoning the Slayer pairs long-time influences and a bevy of non-metal vectors into hulking columns of heavy and desolation. Focus tracks “Deathtouch,” “Hex, Curse, & Conjuration” and “The Transcending Horror” showcases TEMPLE OF VOID’s death-doom at its heights and their massive, crushing lows. But the group’s fourth album is more than that. The album’s capper, “Dissolution,” is one example of the Detroiters stretching out, the song’s ‘70s rock/singer-songwriter motifs hitting The Moody Blues and Nick Drake hard. Lyrically, Summoning the Slayer eschews commonplace horror tropes with a deeper, broader psychological discussion of the self. TEMPLE OF VOID’s ultimate death-doom metal journey is now complete.

TEMPLE OF VOID Is:

Michael Erdody – Vocals

Don Durr – Guitar

Jason Pearce – Drums

Alex Awn – Guitar

Brent Satterly –Bass

Alan Parsons began his career at the age of 19 as an assistant engineer at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London working with the Beatles on their albums Let It Be and Abbey Road. Those who recently saw Peter Jackson's Get Back series got to view vintage footage of Parsons working alongside the Fab Four. Parsons would soon go on to bring his innovative style of engineering to albums by Paul McCartney, the Hollies, and Pink Floyd on their 1973 masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon.

Parsons would quickly move into the role of producer, winning countless gold and platinum awards with such names as Pilot, Cockney Rebel, Ambrosia and Al Stewart. Simultaneously he formed the world-renowned Alan Parsons Project with songwriting partner/vocalist Eric Woolfson, producing a myriad of hits including “Eye in the Sky,” “Don't Answer Me,” “Time” and “Games People Play.” The Parsons/Woolfson duo never toured, but rather concentrated all their efforts in the studio.  After ten studio albums with The Project, Parsons began recording albums under his own name and started to play live for the first time to the delight of his millions of fans around the world.

In 2019, as well as winning a Grammy for the 35th Anniversary edition of Eye In the Sky,Parsons released his fifth solo album, The Secret. It was an album revolving around the theme of magic, which is a passion of Parsons. The Secret was his first studio recording in 15 years, and it culminated in a series of worldwide tours.

Two concerts were filmed in 2019 and released in 2021/2022. "Delicious slice of dark, foreboding shoegaze with a Jesus and Mary Chain sneery disdain & a My Bloody Valentine chainsaw buzz. Deeply formed melodies flow under the insistant rhythmic thunder with a disassociated air and opaque lyrics"~ Backseat Mafia

Irish psych/ shoegaze artist Revolution Above Disorder has released the 'Annihilator' mini-EP, produced and mixed at Jacknife Sound by Jason Corbett of ACTORS, and mastered by RIDE legend Mark Gardener at his OX4 Sound Studio in Oxford, England.

The 3-track release includes a clever remix by renowned producer Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream, Oasis, Kasabian, The Charlatans, Soulwax, The Kills, Massive Attack, Ladytron) and fellow Dublin electronic producer Colm Rutledge AKA Noise Baby.

Revolution Above Disorder is the solo moniker of Vancouver-based Dubliner Stephen Nicholas White (The Orange Kyte, House of Dolls, Magic Shoppe), whose music is a melting pot of shoegaze, psychedelic rock and electronic-tinged post-punk. Droned-out while also melodic and sincere, White’s songs are augmented by synths, drum machines and heavily treated instrumentation with hypnotic reverb-soaked vocals.

"As a record producer and remixer, Jagz Kooner has worked with an extensive list of some of the most influential musicians of the last 30 years. Alongside Andrew Weatherall, he was a member of The Sabres of Paradise. Jagz is somebody whose work has been an inspiration to me for as long as I can remember and he has pulled out all the stops for his remix of Annihilator… it is both dreamy and vicious in equal measures. It’s an absolute honour and privilege to have Jagz on board for this release," says Stephen Nicholas White.

"Track 3 is the remix from my pal Colm Rutledge AKA Noise Baby. A fellow Dubliner and a fellow expat, Colm is based out of Berlin and the influence of that Mecca of hedonism is all over his Annihilator remix, the result is glorious. My jaw hit the floor when he sent this interpretation of the track. Colm is also currently knee-deep in creating a killer new record with his excellent rock n’ roll outfit The Famous Painters."

Recorded during the height of the paranoid and chaotic days of the Covid-19 pandemic, it explores the themes of dissatisfaction, disillusion, nihilism and self-destruction - quite fitting for the times.

"Annihilator was originally conceived of as an uptempo post-punk song a number of years back when writing the second House of Dolls record, which ultimately never saw the light of day. Rediscovered in a treasure trove of demos back in 2020 as I was conceptualizing Revolution Above Disorder, Annihilator soon metamorphosed into a whole different beast. Working again with Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound, we slowed the track down to allow it to breathe and, in doing so, a whole new incarnation of the track began to crystallize"," says Stephen Nicholas White.

"At the time I was heavily into rediscovering the sounds of first wave trip-hop and nineties UK big beat… and as ever, the ubiquitous spectre of krautrock loomed heavily at the forefront of my mind. These influences wormed their way into Annihilator as we focused on the building of subtle layers to create a rising tension over the course of the track. The song was built over top of a sci-fi synth bassline, underpinned at its core by acoustic guitar. ACTORS’ drummer Adam Finkresponded to the call and nailed the drum track. Mat Durie was summoned in to add some bowed-guitar, lending the track the droned-out atmospherics that it was crying out for."

This spring, White released 'Scream Quietly' to pay tribute to the groundbreaking band Television Personalities and the songwriting genius of Dan Treacy. In late 2021, Revolution Above Disorder debuted with 'Illuminate', which involved all members of postpunk band ACTORS, as well as Josiah Webb of Magic Shoppe.

The 'Annihilator' single is out now everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify, Bandcamp and can be obtained directly from the artist via Bandcamp.

HORIZON IGNITED - Reveals Video For New Single "Beyond Your Reach"

The relentless sextet from Finland strikes again with another single from their upcoming album Towards The Dying Lands, to be released on July 1st via Nuclear Blast.

“Beyond Your Reach” bestows with its captivating, melodic guitars which drive you to a huge chorus, that makes this track a real anthem. The single comes along with a music video, which was filmed in Ylöjärvi, Finland, under the direction of Tuomas Kurikka and Patrik Nuorteva of Riivata visuals.

Frontman Okko Solanterä comments on the single: "'Beyond Your Reach' is about unity. Coming together to bring down tyranny and oppression. A little different subject for our lyrics but they fit the song very well!
The song itself is very energetic and empowering with its catchy melodies, so what did we do to bring a bit more darkness and punchiness to it? We made a breakdown. First of its kind in this band but definitely not the last!
This is an anthem that we cannot wait to play live."

Tim Palmer-produced Austin duo THE CAUGHTERY release 'Fragile', first taste of their eponymous debut EP

"No doubt whatsoever about the level of power and passion that has gone into this recording.... Stunning and impressive in so many ways – An A+ effort with outstanding output – this is one sublime unforgettable creation" ~ The Spill Magazine

"An impeccably arranged and produced backdrop. Tingle's vocal versatility and soulfulness sit perfectly within a perfectly-balanced and finely-sculpted nest of sonic intensity" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Cinematic rock duo The Caughtery (a duo of long-time Austin music veterans Lisa Tingle and David Gayler) have released their debut single 'Fragile', a stunning preview of their debut eponymous EP.

Mixed by the legendary Tim Palmer (Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, Tin Machine, The Mission, HIM, U2, Pearl Jam), who jointly produced it together with David Gayler, this EP was recorded by Lee Jackson at Studio71West near Austin. Tim Palmer also contributes guitar on this debut single.

This contemporary rock offering, influenced by musical threads running from the 60s through 00s, presents a series of “musical paintings”, expressing the pressure and fragility of the human state over the last two years.

This debut effort features drummer Tom Brechtlein, who brings a rich experience with him, having performed with Chick Corea, Kenny Loggins, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Al DiMeola, Jean-Luc Ponty and Rickie Lee Jones, among others. It also involves bass contributions by Brian Lippman and Ricky Phillips (of Styx and previously with Coverdale/Page, Bad English, The Babys, Ted Nugent, Angel).

Two musical soul-searchers born just 5 days apart and originally hailing from opposite coasts, Tingle and Gayler both grew up in musical families. Lisa and David's shared diverse musical loves (rock, indie, fusion, jazz, blues and R&B) sparked a genuine connection, their mutual addiction for creating unique music ultimately moving their storytelling note by note.

The duo originated in 2020, when David called Lisa to record a song that fit her vibe. What started out as a one-off collaboration ultimately turned into a full EP of material under the name The Caughtery. On this debut EP, Lisa’s lyrics explore such themes as relationships, new and old, the passing of friends and the state of our world today.

Described as a “Female Robert Plant” with the power of Janis Joplin and the soul of Aretha Franklin, Lisa Tingle has received multiple awards over the past decade at the Austin Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Band of the Year, Best Song, Musician of the Year, and Album of the Year. She has toured and performed with many legendary acts, such as Etta James, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble, Ray Benson (Asleep at the Wheel), Eric Johnson, Stephen Bruton, Monte Montgomery and Marcia Ball.

Having launched her music career in LA, Lisa gigged, recorded, and was also a session vocalist for writers at Almo-Irving Publishing (part of A&M Records), singing songs submitted to the likes of Tina Turner and Dolly Parton. Moving to Texas, she formed the rock band Black Pearl and landed a record deal with Capitol Records, her songs catching the attention of TV producers with placements on 'Beverly Hills 90210' and 'Melrose Place'. She again worked in publishing, singing for TV and radio commercials, films and songwriters. She contributed to several soundtracks with Ray Benson, including Jean-Claude Van Damme’s 'Universal Soldier', followed by work on Sandra Bullock’s 'Miss Congeniality' and Robert Rodriguez’s 'Spy Kids 3'. She has released six solo albums to wide acclaim and ample international airplay, including on Britain's BBC Radio.

David Gayler is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and studio owner based in Spicewood, Texas. Born in upstate New York, Gayler relocated to Texas in the mid-80s to attend college. Having started out on piano, he eventually transitioned to his beloved instruments - acoustic and electric guitar. A member of various bands throughout his musical career, he has opened for such notable artists as The Romantics, Charlie Sexton and Jerry Jeff Walker, in addition to being a member of the Party Band during MTVs journey down to Texas in the late 1980s

The 'Fragile' single is out May 25, available digitally, including via Spotify, Amazonand elsewhere. The full self-titled EP will be released on July 15.

Kimberly Kelly Releases New Track; “Blue Jean Country Queen” featuring Steve Wariner

Track is Featured on Forthcoming 12-Song, Label Debut,
I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, Set for Release July 8
Available Now for Pre-Order HERE

On the heels of the announcement of her label debut, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, arriving July 8 via Show Dog Nashville in partnership with Thirty Tigers, singer/songwriter Kimberly Kelly releases another taste from the forthcoming album with “Blue Jean Country Queen” featuring Steve Wariner. Listen HERE.

Produced by Brett Tyler, Kelly’s husband and a hit songwriter himself with No. 1s like “Cold Beer Calling My Name” under his belt, and written by Kelly, Tyler and Wariner the upbeat track is an ode to confident women with the chorus declaring:

She’s a blue jean country queen
A honky tonk heart attack
Boots to her knees fringe on her sleeves
And horns on her Cadillac
Momma’s prayer, and daddy’s nightmare,
Made for the neon lights
She’s a blue jean country queen
Looking for a king tonight

“It was the first-time meeting and writing with Steve for both Brett and I,” shares Kelly. “Brett was complementing Steve on his signature tempo like the one on ‘Nothin' but the Taillights’ that he wrote, and I already had the title ‘Blue Jean Country Queen’ which just seemed right for a Steve tempo. Then to top it off, Steve ended up playing guitar on the song. He had us out to his home studio to play us the track. It was incredible. This track might be the theme of the whole album.”

“It was so fun writing this with Kimberly and Brett, even if it was via Zoom,” shares Wariner. “I LOVE this record! It’s a country ‘mini movie’ wrapped up in three and a half minutes. Kimberly absolutely lays it down! So proud to be in on this one!”

The new track follows the release of nostalgic song-of-summer ready track, “Summers Like That” which left Billboard praising Kelly’s “warm, lifting voice.” Written by Karyn Rochelle and Bobby Tomberlin and produced by Tyler, the song not only name checks a number of classic 90s country hits but is also sonically, reminiscence of some of Kelly’s biggest influences, artist like Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Brooks & Dunn and Deana Carter. Listen to “Summers Like That,” HERE.

A native of Lorena, Texas, Kelly spent years in both the Texas and Nashville music scenes earning an education in experiences that have made her both fearless in her approach to creating and unafraid to defy convention when it comes to industry expectations. Those years of hard work, all while also earning a Master’s degree and working fulltime, culminated last summer in a long-awaited record deal with Show Dog Nashville. Now she is set to make her label debut. Pre-order or pre-save I'll Tell You What's Gonna Happen, HERE.

Off stage Kelly possess an inviting warmth mixed with sly self-deprecation, a winsome combo only earned with some life experience, self-awareness and nothing to prove on stage just the goods to stop a listener in their tracks. "This is not my first rodeo," Kelly says of her label debut. "I worked really hard in Texas before I came to Nashville. I wrote songs, put out records, did a radio tour, and played every weekend while going to school and working full-time.”

The album’s title, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, is a clever nod to her friend and fellow Texas musician, the late Country Music Hall of Famer, Billy Joe Shaver. The abbreviated quote comes from the better-than-fiction-true story of Shaver forcing his way into a Waylon Jennings recording session after the star tried to renege on recording some of his songs. Brushing off a $100 bill to go away, Shaver said to Jennings, "I'll tell you what's gonna happen. You're gonna either listen to these songs or I'm gonna whip your ass." Waylon agreed to listen to one. The rest is history in the form of Jennings' 1973 Honky Tonk Heroes album, on which every song but one was written by Shaver.

“I landed on this album title on a dare," Kelly says. "I was like, 'Sure. What do I care?' I did the Texas music scene, I’ve done time in Nashville, and I thought my time had passed when I got offered my record deal. My husband could keep writing songs and I'd just be a speech therapist. So I made this album like it's the last one I'll ever get to make and the title is my mantra so to speak. I love good songs, and I let the best ones win whether I wrote them or not. It’s a compilation I’m proud of, and I’m thrilled for people to hear them!”

ACM Award-Winning Songwriter Jason Nix Releases "Mary Wanna"

Following his recent ACM Award win for Song of the Year as a writer on Lainey Wilson’s Gold-certified No. 1 hit “Things A Man Oughta Know,” in-demand songwriter Jason Nix now presents himself as a must-hear artist with today’s release of “Mary Wanna” via Jody Williams Songs/Warner Chappell Music. Listen HERE.

“‘Mary Wanna’ is the song that got my wheels turning again on releasing music as a solo artist. I love the way it makes me feel,” reflects Nix of the track produced by Chip Matthews. “I’ve always wanted to do a concept album and ‘Mary Wanna’ paints a very clear picture of what Mary’s role will be in this story. She’s a rebel who feels trapped by her parents’ idea of who she should be; she feels smothered by her community’s expectations of how a young woman should act. She is desperately looking for the freedom to find out who she is, even if it means breaking some hearts along the way.”

Released as the first introduction to a concept project Nix plans to release in the coming months, ‘Mary Wanna’ is a windows-down, singalong tribute to the renegade title character and all the women living life on their own terms that she represents.

“This song is the cornerstone for a project I didn’t realize I was starting at the time and was born from a personal experience that I never intended to write about,” Nix adds. “Mary gave me the opportunity to write about the things I’ve been holding onto for years.”

Lyrics + credits are available HERE.

About Jason Nix
Born in Nashville and raised in South Mississippi, Jason Nix grew up on a blend of his musical father’s Bluegrass and his mother’s love of Motown while introducing his own passion for Classic Rock into the mix. It’s no surprise then that his return to Music City just after high school led to the creation of a sound all his own, driven by his strengths as both a guitar player and a lyricist. 17 years later, having established himself as an award-winning, in-demand songwriter and earning cuts from artists ranging from Keb’ Mo’ to Lainey Wilson (including the recent ACM Song of the Year “Things A Man Oughta Know”), Nix now presents himself as a must-hear artist with brand-new release “Mary Wanna.” Written by Nix together with Driver Williams as the first in a series of concept songs coming soon, the song introduces the free-spirited character of Mary while also introducing Nix himself.

Italian alternative rock band JAX Diaries released a brand new single "I Gave My Life To Rock N Roll" to all major platforms today!

"Right after the release of 'When i turn I see the future' and of our live-session at the Pink Noise Recording studio we found ourselves devastated having to deal with band members leaving for the most unknown reasons and having to re-build what we just created two years prior," says Jaxon, the band's vocalist.

He adds, "We then started to change the essence of the band, turning it into something we would never expect. We locked ourselves in the studio and we wrote down 6 songs that are going to be a part of our upcoming EP Eagles of the World. The very first song we wrote was 'I gave my life to Rock 'n Roll'. We already had the "skeleton" of the song pre-recorded and we just needed to add some more magic to deliver the product we really wanted."

"The song is a message to all those people that are actually trying to create a better future for
themselves, having to deal with difficulties all-along the way on the path to self-accomplishment. You are going to be alone at the top, nobody is going to bring you there, nobody is gonna share with you the weight of the wrong decisions you are going to make.
And that's okay. If it was 'Thanks to you' is also going to be 'because of you' and you have to accept it. Like we say in the very beginning of the song 'Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die' and that is exactly what the song is all about," he continues.

The single was written and produced by Jaxon himself at the "Heavy Tones Recordings" studios and the video was shot by the guys in Mose's Production in Verona (IT).

96 Bitter Beings (Ex-CKY) Join Nuclear Blast & Announce Tour

Revered Los Angeles rock band 96 BITTER BEINGS has officially joined Nuclear Blast! Formed in 2016 by ex-CKY founder, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Deron Miller, the band plans to release, "Synergy Restored," their long-awaited follow-up to 2018's widely praised debut "Camp Pain," later this year. In the meantime, they'll be hitting the road with HOWLING GIANT this summer performing their first shows in years.

Commenting on the signing to Nuclear Blast, Miller states:

"Nuclear Blast has always been the most personable label I’ve ever worked with. They stuck around and persevered through all of the hard times that hit heavy rock and metal over the years. They’re still here because they always put their love of what they do ahead of scrounging around frantically to make a quick buck. I have 27 years behind me working with various labels, major and independent, and they’re all gone. The people are gone. Nuclear has been the only constant. Passion, perseverance and refusing defeat are the keys to longevity in anything you do, so that makes us the perfect match. The band and I are thrilled to be working with rock and metal heads I’ve known and respected for decades… Still just as hungry, ambitious and excited to see what the future holds as we are."

About 96 BITTER BEINGS:

Deron Miller gives his life to the riff. Unrestrained by industry expectations and genre limitations, the boundlessly prolific guitarist and voice behind multiple beloved projects is best known as the founder, frontman, and songwriter in CKY. His authentic and effortlessly hooky heavy rock obsession returns with 96 BITTER BEINGS. Reinvigorated and ready to rumble all over again, Miller roars back with the same reverence for riffage that made underground hits out of CKY anthems like “Flesh Into Gear,” “Escape from Hellview,” and “Disengage the Simulator” from 1998 till 2011.

The familiar warmth, feel, groove, and unapologetic honesty which drove the song “96 Quite Bitter Beings” to 54 million streams (on Spotify alone) permeates the pair of albums unleashed by 96BB.

A successful crowdfunding campaign saw Miller, guitarist Kenneth Hunter, bassist Shaun Luera and Shaun’s brother, drummer Tim, conjure up 2018’s "Camp Pain" in limited release. North American touring followed, wrapping up shortly before the COVID-19 shutdowns.

After CKY and a short break, I decided to continue, without changing the sound,” Miller explains. “Because that’s what I do. It’s what I love to do and what people say I do well. All of the guys who got in the band with me are great musicians. And each of them is hungry. They have priorities and ambitions about being in a rock band, no matter the grim state of pop music out there. If we can bring rock and metal back to the mainstream, in some way, that’s the dream.

96 BITTER BEINGS Lineup:
Deron Miller - Vocals/Guitar
Kenneth Hunter - Guitar
Shaun Luera - Bass
Tim Luera - Drums

GRONIBARD Streams New Album in Full

The moment nobody has been waiting for is finally here! The French perverts of GRONIBARD are now streaming their brand new album, 'Regarde les Hommes Sucer,' ahead of tomorrow's release! Listen to the album in its entirety HERE.

'Regarde les Hommes Sucer' can be pre-ordered HERE and pre-saved across digital streaming services HERE.

Clean your underwear, Gronibard is back! After 14 years of deafening silence that nobody has necessarily missed, the grindcore quintet returns with ‘Regarde Les Hommes Sucer,’ a new album that smells of the anus and other delicate aromas. Faithful to its original values, Gronibard deliberately remains – given the limited skills of each of its members, this is in any case the communication strategy that the group has adopted – stupid and limited to what happens under the belt.

1998. While the Blues are defending at all costs to catch a World Cup title, the five maniacs from Lille (FR) - which is not unlike the backwoods Alabama - attack and decided to record their first demo. Two hours and five guitarists later, this extreme affair is over. 600 copies are sold in stride. Not bad for a title made from excerpts from D-rated 70’s sexploitation films. Without mastering their instruments, without knowing how to compose, without the slightest promotion, our Grindcore Zuckerbergs seem to have found the magic formula.

2001. While towers are collapsing on the other side of the world, Gronibard signs its first contract with a record label. Luck? Coincidence? History will judge. The only certainty is that within just a few short days, the group’s self-titled debut LP is boxed. The result: a big box in the metal scene. Last, but not least, a candidate from Nouvelle Star (France’s version of ‘American Idol’) - the TV show that everyone was talking about at the time - took over one of the group's songs. Admirably surrounded by their loved ones, Anal Capone and his band fortunately manage to keep a cool head and display a calm that many Scandinavian bands envy. Then everything blurs. Allergic to the outrageous Stakhanovism of the time, Gronibard took some time to relax, too much time, perhaps. Upon dropping an EP in 2005 and a second LP in 2008... the band went completely silent. The flat encephalogram. A cruising speed that could have sent the group to the depths of the Mariana Trench.

On stage, the group will gradually become as rare as a good piece of Ultra Vomit. In its early days, however, GRONIBARD fired on all cylinders and played everywhere: in a festival in Portugal with strippers, in the courtyard of a Belgian brasserie (for the occasion, these art connoisseurs were paid in sausages), Maryland Death Fest in 2005 to which the band arrived in luxury – rolling up in a hot dog van. Innovators and fans of scratching bearded men, the quintet goes so far as to share a date with Corbier (a popular French television animator at the time) from Club Dorothée during a historic “cassoulet show.”

Upon feeling exhausted from playing so many gigs, the underachievers decided, unlike the Rolling Stones, to only do the dates that make the members of the group laugh. Pleasure, pleasure, nothing but pleasure… and just the right amount of auditory sodomy. Returning to the Motocultor festival in 2019, the already cult band sends mud flying through the audience. Generally wearing only their instruments on stage, the members of Gronibard are quality people, which the marital status of the group's line up proves top notch: Anal Capone (vocals), Albatard (bass), Godemichel (drums), Necronembourg (lead guitar and vocals), Merdic (backup guitar).

2022 might be a French presidential year, but the election lives in the shadows of Gronibard’s unsuspecting comeback, as the band are geniuses when it comes to going viral while making zero effort. Society has vastly changed since the band’s last album, ‘We Are French Fukk You’, which dropped 14 years ago. They too made changes to their lives, finally finding some women to impregnate.

From now on, social networks make the law, without too much discernment. The nuance is no longer relevant. No big deal, that was never really Gronibard's main quality, any PhD student will agree. A fruitful brainstorm and a few beers end up removing the group's last doubts. GRONIBARD then diligently leans on the adage of "the third album always being difficult." Thanks to enormous groundwork (two to three rehearsals per year) and deep reflection on its musical direction (as good fans of Fad Gadget, they considered releasing a synthpop album before giving up), Gronibard is back with ‘Regarde Les Hommes Sucer,’ its most successful album to date. All on an exceptional label: Season of Mist.

Stuck at the anal stage since its creation, the group finds itself in perfect harmony with these shitty times.  And this album then? ‘Regarde Les Hommes Sucer’ lasts 34 minutes and contains 16 short, compact, and fitting songs. Gronibard respects nothing and targets anything that moves, including itself. Among the many pieces of excellence, let us mention the conceptual “Mon siamois maléfique,” the boiling “L’enfer des zombites,” the fantastic “Sperm Smoker” or the very shady “Le monstre des zizis.”

Message to all headbangers: you are not done with having a headache.

P.S. to fans of the band – hide your dongs well, Gronibard is back!

The Scarlet Goodbye Release New Single "Angel Dust" via TLG/INgrooves

The Scarlet Goodbye, featuring Dan Murphy (Soul Asylum/Golden Smog) and singer/producer Jeff Arundel, released their new single "Angel Dust" via Epochal Artist Records/TLG/INgrooves. The single is from their new album Say Hello to The Scarlet Goodbye due out later this year.

"A riff I had circulating in my brain for decades finally finds a home... the chorus vocal lines and lyrics were written with my recently completed sailing class behind me. I love Ben's drumming on this track it sounds like Sweet or the seventies band The Raspberries" says Dan.

The story of The Scarlet Goodbye is unusual, and has been called “the most unlikely match in Minnesota music history”. Dan Murphy, who was pivotal in the launch of the two seminal rock bands Soul Asylum and Golden Smog, sold his guitars and amps and quit the game in 2012, in a letter published by Rolling Stone. A chance meeting at a Christmas Party with Yacht-Rocker and producer Jeff Arundel, led to the duo, whose careers spanned the same time frame but had essentially no other resemblance, to start writing and recording. Pretty quickly they realized that they were onto something, as Murphy shoved Arundel into a swagger, and Arundel tip-toed Murphy onto revealing some vulnerabilities, making for a collection of songs that producer John Fields, who was brought in to mix the record, calls “both timeless and unique, part Rolling Stones and part Townes Van Zandt”.

Since 2001, MUNICIPAL WASTE have uncompromisingly stuck to their guns as hard-partying and even harder-hitting torchbearers of 21st century thrash metal. The Richmond, VA quintet—Tony Foresta [vocals], Ryan Waste [guitar], Philip “Landphil” Hall [bass], Dave Witte [drums], and Nick Poulos [guitar]—have transformed from a cult favorite into metal mainstays for a generation. Along the way, Decibeltouted "The Art of Partying" in its coveted “Hall of Fame” and asserted it “revved up interest in thrash and inspired a fresh wave of youthful new bands. Metal Hammer christened "The Art of Partying" one of “The 50 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Ever, while Loudwire pegged "The Art of Partying" as “The Best Thrash Album of 2007” and "Hazardous Mutation" as “The Best Thrash Album of 2005.The guys have sold out countless shows on multiple continents and piled up tens of millions of streams in the process. 2017’s "Slime and Punishment" bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, and "The Last Rager" EP only accelerated their momentum in 2019.

Municipal Waste maintain course as vicious and vital as ever on 2022’s "Electrified Brain" [Nuclear Blast] as heard on tracks like "Grave Dive," "High Speed Steel" and "Crank The Heat." Recorded during the pandemic in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk [Power Trip, Code Orange], the sessions would be the first time the band reunited in person after a year. Together, they achieved “a thicker and heavier sound.

In the end, "Electrified Brain" will give you everything you’d want from a Municipal Waste record or heavy metal record, period. “We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority,” says Tony.
