EVOLUTION EMPIRE has released the official music video for their single "Under the Gun." The band is currently on tour supporting the "BROTHERS IN ARMS TOUR" w/ ILL NIÑO, DROWNING POOL and HED PE.

EVOLUTION EMPIRE started in Dallas, Texas, where frontman Chris Roberts and drummer Rob Youells were introduced to each other by their mutual manager, Dave Chavarri (Ill Niño, Terror Universal). The outfit is rounded off by bringing in veteran bassist Sal Dominguez (Ill Niño, ex-Upon A Burning Body) and monster lead guitarist Joe Dragich (Terror Universal). The next piece of the puzzle was to begin writing for their debut release and choose a production team. The band landed producers Eddie Wohl (Anthrax, Fuel, Ill Niño) and Chavarri.

Frayle Premieres Brand-New Single & Music Video For “Skin & Sorrow” Via Revolver, Title Track From Ritual Metal Duo’s N

Directed by Frayle, the video is set in a barren field below a dead gray sky as frontwoman Gwyn Strang dons her best Puritanical ensemble while casting a number of spells, not the least of which is on the viewer entranced by her hypnotic mystique.

“Skin & Sorrow” is the title track from the ritual metal duo’s upcoming album, which will be released July 8 via Brooklyn’s Aqualamb Records. It follows their groundbreaking debut 1692 in 2020 that further introduced the world to their penchant for creating “lullabies over chaos.” Tracks feature Strang’s ethereal vocals laid over the voluminous instrumentals of Sean Bilovecky (formerly of Disengage), morphing into disturbing harmonies best described as music for the night sky.

Revolver calls the song an “awesomely haunting and dirgy title-track” and one that “is eerie and ethereal for its first half, but slowly lets more crunchy fuzz into the fold that builds up to a detonating finish with gobs of spiritual atmosphere.”

In addition to haunting original tracks that push heavy music into new dimensions (an inspirational mix of Sleep and Portishead, or Black Sabbath and Bjork), the Cleveland duo is known for their cryptic covers including takes on Johnny Cash’s “Ring Of Fire” and Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

“Skin & Sorrow” follows the trajectory and is a cornerstone of the themes and messages on the upcoming album. As Strang says, “Our first single, ‘Skin & Sorrow’ is very personal to me. It’s about watching someone close to you dying and how empty and useless you feel. It can seem like all that’s left of you is just skin and sorrow.”

Ambient, rock, wave influences and other stylistic sources of inspiration melt into a melancholic yet glittering masterpiece. Like the blue ice, black beaches and other spectacular landscapes of their North Atlantic home, 'No Need to Reason' keeps changing and shifting, while KONTINUUM seem to keep an underlying epic and mythical theme.

KONTINUUM were conceived with the declared aim to create hypnotic and spiritual musical noise in Reykjavik, Iceland in the year 2010. After sending demo tracks of their debut album 'Earth Blood Magic' to a few labels, a first deal was quickly struck. KONTINUUM wasted no time and entered SIGUR RÓS' Sundlaugin Studio in the town of Mosfellsbær close to the Icelandic capital to record their first full-length, which was released in 2012.

'Earth Blood Magic' received rave reviews across the board and was voted rock album of the year in Morgunblaðið, Iceland. KONTINUUM followed up on their quick success and played numerous shows in 2013, which established their reputation as a powerful live band.

KONTINUUM released the first single of their next album, entitled "I Huldusal", in 2014. This led to substantial radio play in Iceland and even topping the charts of the island's largest alternative rock radio station.

Their sophomore full-length, 'Kyrr' hit the stores in April 2015 alongside new single, "Breathe". Following the release of their second album, KONTINUUMembarked on two tours in Germany and performed at several festivals including the prestigious Roadburn Festival and Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands, Germany's Summer Breeze, Icelandic Airwaves and Eistnaflug Festival at home as well as Lithuania's Devilstone Festival.

Call Me Karizma Drops "Young, In Love & Depressed AF" Single + Music Video

Genre-blending hip hop-and-rock artist Call Me Karizma has released his latest track "Young, In Love & Depressed AF" (out via Thriller Records). Speaking on today's release, Karizma shares:

"Years ago I wrote this song with my good friend and producer, Skimmy. The line just came to me right when I started listening to the music, and I thought to myself “this is like the real-life version of that Khalid song.” This was only a short time after his record that went “Young, dumb, broke, high school kids” blew up, but I felt that I couldn’t really relate. Though I was pretty broke, I was an early-twenties guy, trying to manage love, sadness, and life in general.

This is the anthem for all people, no matter their age or circumstance. Everyone at some point has felt in love and depressed as f*ck. Years later, especially with the mess the world is in, I feel that it’s time for the world to hear this song."

French synthwave icon Carpenter Brut has just released his brand new album Leather Terror today via Universal Records. Leather Terror is the second in Carpenter Brut’s Leather album trilogy, the next chapter following his widely acclaimed 2018 album Leather Teeth. That album featured in numerous Best Album lists across the board of rock, alternative and electronic music that year. Kerrang championed the mysterious French artist as one of the Best Live Bands On Earth whilst Carpenter Brut was also honoured as a performer at the Metal Hammer awards.

While Leather Teeth was in part a celebratory take on ‘80s glam rock, in his new opus, Carpenter Brut – across the space of twelve tracks – gets more malevolent, documenting the rise of his protagonist as a serial killer who wants to take revenge on all those who mistreated him when he was younger.

Leather Terror reflects both a serial killer, and an artist, in their prime: Bold and daring while full of shock and awe, creating a true spectacle out of great darkness with a flamboyant disregard for rules.

The albums form the soundtrack of an imagined movie from 1987. The previous record introduced the story of Bret Halford, an introverted science student. He liked a girl who didn’t like him and much preferred the team’s star quarterback. Bret got mad and tried to create a concoction that would allow him to control them all, but ends up disfigured and decides instead to become a rock star. This is how he will seduce the girl, and all other girls: By becoming Leather Teeth, singer of Leather Patrol.

Regarding the album, Carpenter Brut has said, "After spending much of 2018 touring, I had decided to take a long break to compose the new album of the trilogy. The pandemic confirmed that my choice to stay home was the right one. I ended up taking over a year and a half to compose this album. I made a lot of decisions with the time I had that I wouldn't have had time to make if the pandemic hadn't happened. I wanted to make the whole thing as massive as possible. There is no guitar on this album. I did everything with synths. Even though I didn't know exactly how I wanted the album to sound at first, I knew I wanted it to be massive and violent.”

Leather Terror is flanked by two lead singles, the colossal synthrock anthem “Imaginary Fire” featuring vocalist Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Killer Be Killed, The Black Queen) as well as “The Widow Maker,” featuring Alex Westaway of Gunship on the pummelling synth pop track.

“We’ve got a long way to go and no time to get there”, so the song goes! “Long Way To Go” (Live From Daisyland) is the third release from the LIVE series recorded at the world-famous venue Rock City in Nottingham, England during the band's Like No OtherTour in November 2021.

The Dead Daisies took the extremely enthusiastic and vocal crowd on a trip down memory lane with “Long Way To Go”, the classic hit from their 2016 album Make Some Noise. It’s been a crowd favourite and always in the setlist at live shows.

Cleveland, Ohio industrial/electronic rock band GHOSTATIC has released a brand new single "Still Haunt My Dreams" to all major platforms via Imagen Records.

"After releasing my debut EP on Imagine Records, which was more electronic and bass heavy, I decided to stick to my roots and lean more on the heavy rock/metal style that grabbed my ears when I was an angsty teen. The video was shot during a live performance at the prestigious Roadburn Redux festival that took place in 2021 and celebrates the artist's upcoming live performances, which are scheduled for April throughout Europe! THE HELLACOPTERS were formed in 1994 by Nicke Andersson (vocals and guitar), Dregen (guitar), Kenny Håkansson (bass), and Robert Eriksson (drums). At that time Andersson was renowned in the metal scene for his work in the well-known Swedish death metal band ENTOMBED and Dregen had built a reputation as co-founder and guitarist of his main band BACKYARD BABIES.

Next to THE HIVES and THE BACKYARD BABIES, THE HELLACOPTERS are considered one of the most important and influential Swedish rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s - they achieved two Gold certifications, won the Swedish Grammy and a Kerrang! award, have amassed 100 million streams to date, and have supported and toured with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Kiss, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, or the Foo Fighters. They have released seven albums, ranging fuzzed-out & supercharged garage punk on Supershitty To The Max! (1996) & Payin' The Dues (1997) to perfectly crafted & soulful high-energy rock'n'roll with a strong vintage vibe on the following albums, Grande Rock (1999), High Visibility (2000), By The Grace Of God (2002) and Rock & Roll Is Dead (2005). A compilation of cover songs called "Head Off" was released in 2008 and marked the band's last album before ultimately dissolving. In addition, THE HELLACOPTERS have released almost four dozen singles, splits, and EPs until this day, most of which got the limited 7inch or 10inch vinyl treatment, making them a vinyl collector's dream ... or worst nightmare.

THE HELLACOPTERS reunited in 2016 to play a few shows for the 20th anniversary of their debut album, and have proven an unstoppable force ever since, performing at Sweden Rock Festival, Psycho Las Vegas, Download, Hellfest, Roskilde, Ilosaarirock, among others. In October 2021 they announced that they had signed a deal with Nuclear Blast Records and a new album would be in the works for Spring 2022.
