Sweden’s Liar Thief Bandit have dropped the third single from their upcoming mini-album. The new song, titled ”The Art of Losing Battles”, shoots straight into the familiar intensity and energetic feel that supporters of the band have grown to love. A raw setting with catchy melodies and honest lyrics is topped off with a raging guitar solo, followed by the three musicians kicking it into an even higher gear.

Liar Thief Bandit’s upcoming mini-album 'Diamonds' will be released on The Sign Records later this year.

About LIAR THIEF BANDIT:

What do you get if you blend the melodic essence that helped shape the ‘70s and the raw garage revival of the late ‘90s with a modern touch of uplifting lyrics and undeniable energy? The answer is Liar Thief Bandit – a power trio born to play live with the sole purpose to carry the torch of all that ever was, is, and will be rock’n’roll in its purest form.

After humble beginnings in 2015 making demos and playing those first crucial shows, the defining journey took off in late 2016 when the self-produced debut album “Gun Shovel Alibi” was released. Extensive touring followed and the band’s DIY ethics brought them to numerous European countries during 2017. Their lightening, energetic live show caught attention and left the audience wanting more. The hectic tour schedule influenced the three-piece to write, record, and deliver their sophomore epos “Straight Ahead” released in august 2018 quickly followed by three European tours putting Liar Thief Bandit on the map as a hard-working rock’n’roll band to reckon with.

With new songs in the making, May 2019 saw the trio doing their 100th show in Hamburg as the premiere of an 18-day tour through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, and Czech Republic. The coming fall saw a split 7” vinyl with Grande Royale released on The Sign Records and a joint tour through Germany and Switzerland supporting the double A-side single. The track “Virtue Not a Vice” left no one doubting the power of innovating riffs and rememberable melodies that makes Liar Thief Bandit stand out in the current rock atmosphere.

The third full-length was recorded during the spring of 2020 in Malmö’s Tambourine Studios inspired by hardships in a hard-working touring band as well as complicated situations in life. The theme throughout the 12 songs touches on philosophies of picking yourself up, taking chances, and facing obstacles with a positive state of mind. “Deadlights” was released on May 14th 2021 via The Sign Records.

Always thinking ahead, more music was already on its way. Following the release of “Deadlights”, one of the land’s hardest working rock trios fired up the engine and headed to the outskirts of the small Swedish west coast town Strömstad in the summer of 2021 to record once again. 7 tracks were laid down in 7 days at Tilt Recording Studios with Max Dahlby at the helm, who’s worked with Åskväder, The Drippers, and Scumbag Millionaire to name a few. 6 originals and a cover of Graveyard’s “Ain’t Fit to Live Here” as the first single to be released from the upcoming mini-album “Diamonds”, which takes off where “Deadlights” ends. It follows the same theme and feel as its predecessor but with additional reflections and new views on self-realization. A troubled mind finding keys to push forward surrounded by roaring guitars, pounding drums, and fierce vocals.

Symphonic death metal architects SEPTICFLESH have announced details of their upcoming eleventh studio album Modern Primitive. To coincide with the announcement, the band has revealed the conceptual new video for the album's first single "Hierophant".

"Hierophant" tells the first part of the story written by guitarist and clean vocalist Sotiris Anunnaki V titled "Salvation". It depicts the experience of a high priest, acting as a human conduit between Heaven and Earth. Having never heard a single word from the mouth of God, he grows tired of preaching the preordained words of the clergy. He turns to performing primitive and powerful rituals that have been long forbidden, as he seeks the guidance of a chaotic elemental consciousness. The second part of the tale will be revealed with the track "Self-Eater".

Vocalist and bassist Seth Siro Anton comments "'Hierophant' is the result of an experiment with ideas that have been haunting our minds for quite a long time. Eventually, they matured, leading us to create one of our darkest compositions ever. It is a rhythmical song with profane heavy riffing, layered with melodies that bring to mind chants from mystical ancient civilizations like the Egyptians."

Guitarist and orchestrator Christos Antoniou states "We found it appropriate to add an imposing ritualistic element to the song. So, from the first second until the end, the orchestration is focused 100% on its grim task, to create an awe-inspiring atmosphere and put the listener at the center of this forbidden ceremony."

UK avant-pop artist NICK HUDSON releases ‘Lights Svoboda’, funds go towards Ukrainian humanitarian aid

British avant-pop artist Nick Hudson presents his new single 'Lights Svoboda' (translates as 'Lights Freedom'), recorded together with Kianna Blue, his bandmate in The Academy of Sun. Out in time for Bandcamp Friday, all proceeds will go towards charities directly involved in humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine.

While the framework of this song originated six years ago during epic recording sessions for The Academy Of Sun’s 2020 opus album 'The Quiet Earth', it didn't end up being included on that album. Now, global reality has tragically and uncannily come to resonate with the song’s poetically fractured scenes of dictatorship, nuclear threat and razed landscapes.

Returning from a month in the formerly Soviet republic of Georgia and watching in horror as Russia launched its attack on Ukraine, Nick felt desperate to apply his skill set to a tangible purpose within the crisis and here we have it - a desolate hymn woven with the plaintive vocals of Kianna Blue and the haunting schisms of the Faemi M1 analogue synth.

"The opening features a recording I made in Georgia, into my Soviet cassette recorder, of my 20-year-old Russian exile friend who fled to Georgia to avoid facing criminal charges for protesting Navalny’s imprisonment. I had him say “freedom, hope and truth” in Russian. He’s headed to join the Ukrainian army this week," says Nick Hudson.

"It features myself on piano, voice, Soviet analogue synth, melodica and field recordings, and Kianna Blue on backing vocals and bass. Originally written for The Quiet Earth but now uncannily and undesirably relevant.'

A prolific figure on the UK music scene, Hudson had a prolific 2021, releasing his 8-track 'K69996ROMA:EP' and the album 'Font Of Human Fractures', his first long-player as a solo artist in five years). Nick's vast output also encompasses painting, film, and a novel. Hudson has also collaborated with Wayne Hussey (The Mission), Matthew Seligman (Bowie, Tori Amos, Morrissey), members of Kayo Dot, David Tibet (Current 93), Asva, queercore icon GB Jones, as well as Massive Attack's Shara Nelson. Having toured 3 continents, highlights include shows with Mogwai, Toby Driver and Keith Abrams (Kayo Dot), and Timba Harris (Mr Bungle, Amanda Palmer).

France based, modern metal band DISCONNECTED has released the official music video for their new single , "King of the World". Directed by Laurent Hart (with production by Antoine de Montremy) and filmed in Troyes, France, "King of the World" features the full band performing the song in the huge Espace Argence Hall. It also includes the acting performance of Joseph de Gabriel representing the "King of the World".

DISCONNECTED is a modern metal band drawing influences from Gojira, Deftones, and Alter Bridge.

They released their debut album White Colossus in March 2018 through indie record label Apathia Records on all major streaming platforms with physical releases in Europe and Japan.

After playing numerous gigs in France they opened for Tremonti on his 2018 European tour playing a further 24 shows across 17 countries. This expanded the European fan base notably in the UK, Germany and France.

After being noticed by Drouot Production and Ossy Hoppe of Wizard Promotion, the band were invited to open for Judas Priest in January 2019 (Zenith of Paris). Disconnected also supported Mass Hysteria in March and November 2019.

The band will also be playing Rock Fest 2022 (postponed edition of 2020) in Barcelona, Wacken.

OpenAir 2022 (postponed edition of 2020) in Germany, and festival of Cabaret Vert 2022 (postponed edition of 2020).

They recorded their second album and plan on releasing it in the first half of 2022.

Previous to this they released a first excerpt : "UNSTOPPABLE" the 10th of April 2020 with already more than 1.5 million streams across Spotify, Facebook, and YouTube combined. The second single, "Life Will Always Find its Way," has garnered 300,000 cumulative streams since its release on November 19, 2022/

As the pandemic hit in 2020 and almost every live events was being postponed to 2022 they decided to work on an EP to offer their fans some new to listen to in 2021.

Today, we are proud to share with you the music video for Swedish high energy rock and roll band THE HELLACOPTERS' brand new single "So Sorry I Could Die".

The song is the 3rd single taken from the band's 8th studio album, Eyes Of Oblivion, which will be released on April 1st, 2022! Produced by Nicke Andersson & Chips Kisbye (who has overseen every HELLACOPTERS album since High Visibility in the year 2000), it will be the band's first full-length since the release of their temporary farewell record Head Off in 2008.

"So Sorry I Could Die" - a stripped-down yet intense blues ballad that also pays tribute to the southern soul in its vocal delivery - is probably the most unusual song on the album and maybe even in THE HELLACOPTERS' whole catalog so far. Make sure to check it out below!

The melancholic video for the song was once again directed by Amir Chamdin and edited by Emil Klinta, who were also responsible for the two previous music videos, "Reap A Hurricane" & "Eyes of Oblivion," and had been working on several projects with THE HELLACOPTERS before, e.g. the documentary "I'm In The Band" (2021).

"The album has 10 songs and although it’s obviously not easy to be objective at all, I think musically it sums up everything we’ve touched upon from the start in 1994 up until now. Fox and Renee Couture (drums/vocals) spent the better part of 2020-21 sequestered while writing, recording and redefining their sound for the upcoming album release, Shockwave, due out later this year. “We’ve completely opened and exposed who we are in a way that we’ve never done before,” Fox reflects.

The Standstills’ guitar-driven outlaw rock n’ roll first emerged on a pair of indie releases, the 2015 EP, Devil’s Porch, and 2019 LP, Badlands. Boston heavy rockers MAMMOTHOR drop a brand new single “M.O.A.B.” fresh off 
their latest full-length album, The Silence of Ecstasy... The Agony of Dreams, available now in CD format through retailer Bull Moose and later, on all major streaming platforms.

Mammothor has not let the pandemic stop their musical output. With a busy show schedule taking shape for 2022, including their first shows of the year with Drowning Pool, Ill Nino and Hed(PE) in March, the band spent most of 2020/2021 producing new material. Mammothor entered The Halo Studio in Windham, ME to record with Kevin Billingslea (Lamb of God) and Chillhouse Studiosin Charlestown, MA with Will Holland (Fall Out Boy) for tracking and tapped Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall), at Planet Z in Hadley, MA to mix and master.

'M.O.A.B." is the opening track of the new album. Written by Josh Johnson (guitar) and Travis Lowell (vocals), the single will be launched worldwide on March 4th, on all major streaming platforms. In an ironic twist, this song reflects on the state of war and nuclear annihilation, what then seemed hypothetical, now draws closer to reality. “M.O.A.B.” is a military term for “Mother Of All Bombs,” an army ordinance with incredible destructive power.

Travis comments, “This tune is reminiscent of the old school speed metal, the classic stuff, and draws inspiration from J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, where we feature his voice on several segments of the song.”

IGNESCENT released their new EP Ascension today!

Female fronted and from Chicago, Illinois, IGNESCENT is a rock band founded by Jennifer Benson. Since 2008, the band has been primarily touring throughout the Midwest and Nashville area. IGNESCENT headlined the Budweiser Boneyard Stage last year at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin. IGNESCENT have opened for Stryper, Flyleaf, Eve 6, Buckcherry, Megadeth, Saliva, Lacey Sturm, Otep, John Cooper of Skillet's band - Fight The Fury, Dan Sperry of America's Got Talent, Another Lost Year, September Mourning, Art of Dying, Letters From The Fire, Like a Storm and has played at fests with Switchfoot, Colton Dixon, Memphis May Fire, The Devil Wears Prada, and Veridia. The first song on the CD, “Calling Out to You”, was co-written with former lead guitarist of Skillet, Ben Kasica. IGNESCENT's newest release was produced by Cameron Pierce Mizell who has worked with Memphis May Fire and Sleeping With Sirens. IGNESCENT also co-wrote a song with Sameer Bhattacharya of Flyleaf called "Fearless". Swedish metal veterans The Defaced have released a new video for the song "Wreck", which is taken from the band's upcoming new album 'Charlatans' - out today (March 4) on vinyl, CD & digital!

The band comments on the song, saying:

“The lyrics are about the aftermath of an ended relationship. The feelings one can feel after the dust has settled after the initial shock and hypertension has left body and soul. One can still have a deep attraction to each other but there is no way the relationship can

continue, too much trust and hard words have been spilled along the way and the sadness that can bring to both parties."

They go on to add, "We have always been very intrigued by soviet propaganda posters and esthetics. A relationship can sometimes feel like a totalitarian state, where you sometimes can feel that your personal freedom is restricted. I was in East Berlin with my parents a couple of months before the Berlin wall was torn down and I still remember the gloominess of grayness of the buildings and clothes. The lyrics are projected upon walls just like communistic propaganda. I love how our video producer (Rob Hakemo) imitated the Cyrillic alphabet, it created an extra tension to the video.”

Slipknot are set to kick-off the 2022 iteration of their jaw-dropping Knotfest Roadshow Tour on March 16th. It was announced today that previously announced support, Jinjer, will no longer be joining the tour, as they focus on the safety of their families in their home country of Ukraine. Taking their place on this run will now be metalcore quintet, Wage War.

Eugene Abdukhanov of Jinjer shares the following statement:

“Thank you all for your concerned messages and prayers sent to us over the last week, we may not answer but we are reading them and they mean the world to us. As you know, there is war raging through the streets and cities of Ukraine right now. Many people have little or no food or water and are very afraid of what tomorrow may bring. Together with Napalm Records, we’re releasing two new T-Shirt designs to raise funds to be donated to various charities throughout Ukraine to help with medical and food supplies, water and so on. If you cannot donate then please share this or any news related to what's really happening here. Each sale may save somebody’s life in Ukraine. Thank you.“

Tommy Vext/ The Lone Wolf have released a brand new single titled "Trust the Science"featuring Billboard topping Hip-Hop artist and TikTok star, Topher to all major platforms.

"'Trust the Science' is for all intensive purposes a protest anthem. It’s a reflection of the damage that happens when people follow blind leaders for solutions that end up causing more harm than good. The song is also a homage to hospital workers and first responders who were unconventionally fired from their jobs for not participating in a mass medical experiment. We see you and we honor your integrity and sacrifice," says Vext.

Tommy Vext is a rock singer and songwriter best known for being the lead singer of Bad Wolves, Snot and a short stint as the fill in lead singer for Five Finger Death Punch.

Vext’s passion for music came early. He began his career in Brooklyn, New York, as a teen making his rounds in the local hardcore scene. He created a name for himself by performing at famed venues like CBGB and many others.

Over the years, Vext went on to create music and front many bands but his biggest success came when he founded and created Bad Wolves. With ten world tours, hundreds of millions of streams and most notably six number one hits, Vext's stage presence and powerful voice had solidified his place in the rock world for good, creating a loyal and rabid fan base.

Though Bad Wolves first studio album Disobey was released in May of 2017, it wasn't until May of 2018 when they found record breaking and chart topping success with their breakthrough cover of the Cranberries single "Zombie". This single topped the Billboard mainstream rock charts for weeks and charted in many other territories globally.

One of the most viewed music videos on the internet, "Zombie" has been watched upwards of 400 million times. Before her passing, TMZ obtained audio of the original singer Delores O’Riordan offering to sing on the cover. Considered a love letter by many the video views continue to grow.

In January of 2021 Vext was pushed out of the band he created over differences of opinions regarding his social and political ideologies. Not falling victim to cancel culture, Vext continued to create music, tour and use his voice to do things the way he wants, when he wants.

Known as one of the most prolific and provocative men in rock music, Tommy Vext is just getting started.

CLOAK Announces New U.S. Live Dates

Atlanta black metal outfit CLOAK have now announced a new run of spring tour dates in support of ACID WITCH. CLOAK will join the tour for four dates starting on May 24 in Cleveland, OH until May 28 in Pittsburgh, PA. There will also be a very special Philadelphia, PA show on May 25 in which the band will be supporting VIO-LENCE and CORONER at Underground Arts!

CLOAK previously announced a co-headlining tour with label-mates TOMBS, which will kick off on April 5 in Providence, RI and will conclude on April 10 in the band's hometown of Atlanta, GA.

Unyielding darkness and brutality emerge from the deep south of the United States. Atlanta, GA based quartet CLOAK blend the sounds of black metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and homegrown Southern sludge to create their own unique and menacing sound.
