The song is from the band's forthcoming album 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND' out next Friday, February 25 (via Sumerian Records). The group’s 2016 self-titled debut, 'Bad Omens', yielded fan favorites such as “Glass Houses” and “The Worst In Me” which eclipsed 23 million Spotify streams. After their first headline tour was canceled mid-way at the top of the global pandemic, the band found themselves at home in Los Angeles with plenty of time. Where they absorbed and imparted a different palette of unexpected inspirations. Channeling what the frontman describes at times as a “cursive sound” they embraced newfound confidence and boundlessly loose creativity. Anything went in the studio, and all “rules” were broken. Noah and Jolly wrote, produced, and engineered the music themselves while GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer and songwriter Zakk Cervini (Halsey, Grimes, Poppy, blink-182) lent his talents with the mix and master. Challenging himself, Noah decided to “make a track sampling items around the house, none of which were musical instruments”.

This ultimately became the framework for the first single “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND”. Claps puncture the icy soundscape as his voice stretches from a breathy moan into an evocative and entrancing hook, breaking from a whisper into the seductive chant, “It wasn’t hard to realize. Love’s the death of peace of mind.” It culminates on a climactic scream uplifted by a distorted crunch.

“The whole record really details the loss of peace of mind,” he explains. “The lyrics in the title track are a little more specific in terms of the conflict at the heart of something more intimate and personal.”

By speaking it aloud, Bad Omens offer a level of comfort and empathy, with a sinister shroud. At the same time, they also give rock music a sexy new shape on 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND'.

“Sonically, we want to do something you can’t arrive late or early too,” he leaves off. “You can’t cheat your way to the final act. You have to get on the ride and process it until the end. The songs are meant to be heard from start to finish. We want you to take the whole trip with us.”

"We never thought it would be possible for us to compose a whole new album completely remote while we were all at home during the pandemic. It was different. It was intense. Beginning with their last album "Obscura" (2020), Semblant began to truly flex their musical muscle and show that they are more than ready for the world stage. Having already received international praise from the metal community with the release of the album "Lunar Manifesto" (2014), with the massive singles 'What Lies Ahead', 'Dark of the Day', and 'Incinerate' combining for more than 30 million views on YouTube, "Obscura" showcased a band having taken massive steps forward in their sound and presentation. Over the course of making this album, we lost family members, one of us is celebrating the news of our first child being on the way, and we helped each other to keep our minds healthy and strong as best we could during this insane time. Semblant formed in 2006 in Curitiba, Brazil when singer Sergio Mazul and keyboardist J. After years spent grinding in the ever-dimming lights of Hollywood, vocalist Johnny Skulls and guitarist Dax Dabs opened their eyes and realized what so many never do: ”why the f*ck are we trying to do it THEIR way?” At that moment, what once felt so distorted and lacking in its luster was now crystal clear. With nothing but the open road and their own volition staring back at them, the two joined forces after years of friendship and returned to where it all started.

In 2019, the duo found their way back home to Boston and began working relentlessly on a new project: Above Snakes. They would soon partner with producer Kile Odell (NITA STRAUSS, THROUGH FIRE, FOZZY) and in the summer of 2020, the band released their debut track “Adrenaline”, which quickly earned a spot on PANDORA'S "NEW ROCK NOW" alongside PAPA ROACH, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, & I-PREVAIL including Spotify placements from the likes of LOUDWIRE, FEARLESS RECORDS, & HOPELESS RECORDS.

Austin electronic duo PANJOMA release 'Sun and Moon' single, previewing first release in 8 years

Austin-based electronic outfit Panjoma present the single 'Sun and Moon',released in time for Valentine's Day. Previewing their new 'Sun and Moon' EPmarks the band’s return to the music scene, back with what they feel is their best work ever.

Formed in 2006, core members Mary Panjoma (vocals, keyboard, production) and Patrik Nilsson (bass, drum machines, samplers, production) quickly hit it off upon meeting, resulting in a marriage and the birth of Panjoma. Despite their subsequent divorce, Pat and Mary remain committed to their shared musical quest.

The 'Sun and Moon' EP is Panjoma's first release in eight years, following 2014's 'Personacide' album and 2012's 'Panjoma' album in 2012. These were preceded by the singles 'Death Mantra' and 'Transmit Invocation', both with videos created by two-time Latin Grammy Award recipient Paul Beck, known for his work with David Byrne, The Calm Blue Sea, and feature films 'Waking Life' and 'A Scanner Darkly'.

An avant-garde darkwave electro femme-pop DMT-jazz band with a funky edge, Panjoma's sound is as eclectic as their influences, ranging from Bjork, Aphex Twin, Orbital and Squarepusher to Thundercat, Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Daft Punk, Le Chic, Mr. Fingers, Jazzanova and Depeche Mode.

"Our influences behind the 'Sun and Moon' EP are love, philosophy, and psychedelics. The 'Sun and Moon' single, which drives the dreamy vibe behind the whole EP, is all about how the Sun and Moon are forever following each other forever longing to be next to each other, but forever being unable to be together. The theme transitions into dreams, where anything is possible," says Mary Panjoma.

Panjoma combines electronic sound elements with conventional instruments, which they often use in unconventional ways, such as filtered pianos or e-bows on bass, producing their unique sound using a vast array of drum machines, samplers, keyboards, software programs, and synthesizers.

Panjoma have also had their fair share of adventures in the realms of film, art, soundtracks and sync licensing, having scored the soundtrack for the independent horror film 'Psympatico' and been featured in the soundtracks for multiple documentaries, including 'American Drug War' and 'How Weed Won The West'. Red Bull licensed Panjoma's music for the TV show '10 minutes to the Sky' and their music has also been licensed by Tokyo Milk Cosmetics and for the beta video game trailer for 'Otherland'.

Panjoma's studio and live performance members (past and present) include Ricardo Acevedo (Lost Cat Magnet, O’Clock), Ritchard Napierkowski (The Nimbus, Ritchual, Adoration Destroyed), John Ousely (Construction Paper Records, Cosmic Pets), Richard Evans (Rivers Want) and Chris Alvarez (Saul Williams, John Spencer Blues Explosion).

'Sun and Moon' and 'Free' are out now across digital platforms, including Spotify, Beatport and Apple Music. Their seventh full-length, entitled Devil’s Bell, will be released on April 22, 2022 via Napalm Records, and as the first single demonstrates, will be a massive rock’n’roll album full of infectious earworms!

Devil’s Bell offers nine fist-pumping songs that will shake concert venues worldwide. Frontman Toschie once again proves that he has one of the most charismatic and energetic voices in rock. The kinetic guitar-work of Ice Dale (Enslaved) and Thomas Tofthagen (ex-Sahg) underlines an outstanding genre-warp of 70s and 80s rock via NWOBHM, keeping the music rocking and the listener locked in.

As with every AUDREY HORNE album, there are no duds or misfires as the songs flow together seamlessly, making Devil’s Bell a delight to play from the first note straight to the end. The band is tight, the music is festive, and the songs stick upon first listen – that’s how a modern hard rock album should sound! "20 years into our career, we are proud to say we have made probably our strongest album so far. "It was made during a time of lockdown and isolation, so it became a very focused album, and an album on our own terms, even more than previously. It is 100% homegrown as we recorded it ourselves, Arve produced it and our long time ‘secret’ member Herbrand Larsen mixed it.”

Toschie mentions that, in general, the new album is heavier and darker than the band’s previous records:

"This goes for both the music and the lyrics. The song structures are a bit more complex and this also leads to longer songs in general. We have included an instrumental song on the album that really focuses on the chemistry of the band and the dynamic of us playing together. We wanted the album to have the organic feeling from the 70s and 80s records we all grew up listening to but with a more modern sound to it. We wanted a good balance between more produced songs and some songs with a more live feel to them without too many layers and overdubs. We are really happy with the way the whole album turned out and we feel that we kept the essence of the AUDREY HORNE but with a few new flavors added. Hope you’ll have as much fun listening to it as we had making it!“

Arrowhead Events announced today that George Strait, the “King of Country Music” and three-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, will visit GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for a one-night-only concert event on Saturday, July 30. Making his first return to the venue since 2001, Strait will be joined by special guests Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town, each gracing the stadium stage for the first time.

“For nearly two hours, he and his Ace in the Hole Band delivered nearly two and a half dozen songs, giving another big, rowdy crowd plenty to sing along to and plenty to cheer about,” noted the Kansas City Star during Strait’s 2014 Cowboy Rides Away arena tour stop in the city. “When you’re that good and you’ve played those songs so many times, it’s not hard to make what’s exceptional look easy.”

With an unmatched 60 singles hitting the top of the charts—more than any other artist in any genre—during the span of his 30+ year career, Strait has collected 33 Platinum or multi-Platinum-selling albums, more than any other Country artist and ranking third across all genres behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley. The Texas troubadour is the only artist or act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for over three decades and recently earned his 100th entry on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his latest single, “The Weight of the Badge.” He has sold nearly 70 million albums and earned more than 60 major entertainment industry awards, including induction in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

The show will mark the 54th concert or music festival in GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium history and will be the 15th concert performance that the stadium has hosted since 2011. The 2022 show will be Strait’s fourth performance (1998-99, 2001) at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

“George Strait has a history of great performances at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back for the first time since 2001 this summer. Wildstreet Releases TWO New Singles ‘One Tattoo’ and ‘Born to Be (RLK)’ Via Golden Robot Records

Wildstreet released two new singles, "One Tattoo" and "Born to Be (RLK)" today via Golden Robot Records. The two tracks were originally released in 2014 under the name RAVE LA KILLand were mixed by Kyle Kelso and mastered by Howie Weinberg.

After Wildstreet reportedly broke up in 2013, Eric Jayk and co-founder Jimmie Marlowe teamed up with New Jersey guitarist/vocalist Felix Skiver and started using the pseudonym ‘Rave La Kill.’The project released two singles in 2014, "Born To Be" & "One Tattoo". "Born To Be" was later re-recorded and released as part of Wildstreet III, released via Golden Robot Records in 2021. The album has 1.8 million streams on Spotify. They also released a cover of The 69 Eyes classic "Mrs.Sleazy." They have been added to editorial playlists by Apple Music and Spotify.

The band spent most of 2021 on tour in the USA which included Rockfest WI, but they remarkably also toured in Europe performing at Swiss Rock Cruise in Switzerland, France and Belgium.

Wildstreet began in 2006 and released their self-titled debut album on Retrospect Records in 2009. BIZARREKULT Signs to Season of Mist

BIZARREKULT was formed in 2006 by Roman V., when living in Siberia, out of necessity and wish to create his own music to go along with the poetry that he had been writing since his childhood. From the beginning, BIZARREKULT was a quest of identity and philosophical search for answers for questions that bother the mind at night and day.

After some initial recordings and relocation to Norway, the project was set aside in order to deal with life challenges only to get a new spark a decade later. The most recent years were spent on self-reflection and search for a meaning and purpose, reuniting with the things that were important – art and creativity, leading to revitalization of BIZARREKULT.

This all resulted in the release of the band's debut album “Vi Overlevde” (which translates to "We Survived") in 2021. Intimate, open and very personal “Vi Overlevde” is a testament to survival through personal crisis filled with the reflections of childhood, family and societal relations. In the middle of another pandemic year, the title was giving hope, and it quickly became a favourite among many, giving the listener a complete package where music, lyrics and artworks align into one voice. The album ended op in various EOTY lists, including a well-deserved 3rd place from Swedish biggest newspaper Aftonbladet.  

The upcoming second album, and the debut for Season of Mist, will pick up where "Vi Overlevde" left off. But rather than a continuation, an internal evolution has taken place which proofs that BIZARREKULT is the living evidence that through extreme music we can talk about difficult things in an elegant way.

IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION Announce New Album 'The Sun Will Always Set"

Detroit-based 'Progressive Super Metal' quintet IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION will release their third studio album, titled 'The Sun Will Always Set', on April 15th, 2022. The follow-up to their 2016 sophomore effort 'Triumphia', the new record was produced by Nick Hagen and features guest appearances from Battlecross guitarist Tony Asta and touring cellist for Leprous Raphael Weinroth-Browne, to name a few.

Kurt Deimer has come a long way in less than six months. After joining forces with Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X and recording his debut EP ‘Work Hard, Rock Hard’ with Grammy-award winning engineer Chris Lord-Alge, he opened for Geoff Tate on the former Queensryche frontman’s U.S. tour last fall. Now, after being a featured member of the Stowaways on the Shiprocked cruise this January and performing alongside artists including Nita Strauss, Bumblefoot, P.O.D.’s Sonny Sandoval and Bad Brains’ HR, he's set to be direct support for Yngwie Malmsteen on the guitar legend’s upcoming North American tour (see tour dates below).

“Pure unadulterated rock and roll,” is how Deimer describes the aforementioned EP. “Our style, our voice, it comes after you with the propensity to think about what my lyrics are saying as the melodies and riffs pull you in. I love the whole album. Every damn song. It’s a curated rock and roll adventure, done in our style.”

Deimer has found a great bandmate in long-time Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X. “I think he is one of the best guitarists in the world. We vibe together. We are on the same page and same mission to rock the world for the rest of our lives, and we are bros and great friends to boot. We both say how blessed we are to have found each other.”

Phil X and Chris Lord-Alge will join Kurt Deimer on an Instagram Live event Wednesday, February 16, at 4pm PST / 7pm EST, live from Lord-Alge’s Mix LA recording studio, where Deimer is recording new music. Join the event from Kurt’s Instagram account (@KurtDeimer), where the three will be fielding questions and diving into their recording process.

Starting on April 29 in Harrisburg, PA, the frontman and his band will be direct support on Yngwie Malmsteen’s spring tour. “It’s very surreal, it’s an honor,” says Deimer. “Yngwie is a guitar master, and we will do him justice. We bring passion and expression, and we are always playing as if we are headlining Madison Square Garden - we want to blow your mind and take you on a full out, in your face, rock and roll journey. When you see our band, we are bringing rock and roll with style and flare. No time to sit still.”

The future for Deimer is extremely bright. “We are going to keep writing great rock and roll songs and performing live as much as we can. I just finished production on my first ‘Hellbilly Hollow’ movie, which will hopefully come out in late 2021, and am getting ready to shoot and star in the next film in the franchise. I was inspired to start my own horror franchise after being killed by Michael Myers in the 2018 release of ‘Halloween,’ where I played a gas station attendant. He messed me up! I just love collaborating with other artists and creating a future that is trippy and leaves you wondering what Kurt Deimer is going to do next… I’m a firm believer in keeping my family together, and when people come to see us, we are just that - a family. A fellowship. A tight knit group all on one mission.”

In 2020, VOYAGER's music video for "Runaway" was exclusively premiered via 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The song was taken from VOYAGER's 2019 release 'Colours in the Sun,' which received a wealth of international accolades. Recently, the single "Brightstar" was the first place winner in the Rock / Alternative category of the USA songwriting contest! Since their 1999 formation, whatever genre norms, boundaries and regulations thrust upon Perth, Australia’s Voyager have been smashed. They embrace, if not brandish pop; employ a keytar on stage, and, bring forward a positive, if not uplifting feeling to their music, running head-first into the endless parade of heavy bands who see the world in a different light. It’s perhaps why the title of their seventh full-length and first for Season of Mist, Colours in the Sun, is apropos: Voyager simply prefers to see the bright side of things.

“Observations of the malaises of the modern world and the baffling obsession with purity and difference all make me think,” says frontman and founding member Danny Estrin. “We’ve never had it better and we’ve never had it more colorful. To me that’s progress, it’s adaptation, it’s evolution and it’s astounding.”

The follow-up to 2017’s Ghost Mile, Colours in the Sun finds Voyager enmeshed in rich, melodic, song-first tapestries, led by Estrin’s smooth, capable clean vocal delivery. Estrin is self-aware of his vocals, calling them “unique and ‘80s.” But whatever tag Estrin affixes to his voice, they are the propellent throughout Colours in the Sun, serving up a steady diet of soaring, emotive choruses, where melody is paramount and along the way, even getting some help from another distinctive belter, Leprous’s Einar Solberg on “Entropy.”

“Einar and I became good friends on our tours through Europe and Australia,” notes Estrin. “I couldn’t help but ask him to guest on the album. He is a fantastic musician and vocalist. I sent him a reference track which he swiftly ignored and laid his own tracks down. The result is stunning!”

The kaleidoscope of sounds that comprise the album’s ten cuts is the result of Voyager’s far-reaching influences, many of which go beyond the traditional realms of metal and rock. Estrin calls it “catchy at the top, proggy at the bottom, as if Dream Theater and Depeche Mode had a baby.” It’s almost as if the term “progressive” is too limiting for Voyager, particularly when the guitar tandem of Simone Dow and Scott Kay merge for complex rhythms while doing battle against Estrin’s vaudeville-like keyboards (!) on “Reconnected.”

The “proggy at the bottom” notice is served by way of the rhythm section of bassist Alex Canion and drummer Ashley Doodkorte, who stretch their musical tentacles across busy, active cuts such as “Saccharine Dream” and the syncopated “Water Over the Bridge.” “I think we found our ‘voice’ on V (2014) and have been building on that ever since,” says Estrin. “The synthwave prog sound is really something that has naturally developed and has been refined even more on the new album. Every record is progress — that’s what progressive music is all about!”

According to Estrin, the Colours in the Sun album title encompasses a “vibrant multitude of people coming together under the hot Australian sun to create a beautiful and colorful soundscape.” It’s capped off by artwork courtesy of Doodkorte, who made the piece out of photographs near his house in Perth. A closer inspection reveals there are seven suns on the cover, one for each Voyager album, topped off by an updated version of the band’s logo comprised of five strokes, one for each member. No doubt a fitting visual summation of a band whose progress can be the described in the most literal and figurative of terms.

“It’s been a slow steady growth over the years,” concludes Estrin. “Other bands come and go after a year of fame. I really feel like we’ve built up an incredible fanbase, especially over the last decade, and the deal with Season of Mist seemed the logical step to take it to the next level together.”

GVLLOW blends the sonic and visual aesthetics of punk, 80s goth, horror and trap to create a sound that is fresh, diverse and completely unique. Born and raised in Riverside, California, he grew up in the SoCal Punk scene. He started playing drums at age nine and would go to The Showcase Theatre in Corona every weekend to watch bands such as The Adicts, TSOL and Subhumans.

Alternative pop artist Jenn Vix is back with a new retrowave single 'You Are A Star', a collaborative track featuring Ali Score, original drummer of legendary Grammy-winning new wave - synthpop band A Flock Of Seagulls.

This release sees the legendary drummer return to music after a lengthy hiatus, putting to work the technique that helped A Flock of Seagulls become one of the most influential bands of their era, blazing the way for new wave and synthpop, becoming a Top-40 band with numerous hit songs and a Grammy to their credit, not to mention their enigmatic presence and awe-inspiring sound, which many artists continue to emulate even today.

"Well, 'You Are a Star' is a love song. It's a tribute to someone who worked as an astronomer, and an astrophysicist. The music happened very late at night, as I was sitting in front of the keyboard, practicing, and then the lyrics drifted into my mind shortly after I wrote the music.... We're all made of stardust," says Jenn Vix.

As with her latest single 'PTSD', which offers a glimpse into her personal experience with the diagnosis and life with this disorder, Vix worked with Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Chris Gehringer (Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, Twenty One Pilots, St. Vincent).

Jenn Vix explains how this collaboration came to be: "When I was a kid, I moved to NYC from Miami. One of the most wonderful things about NYC at the time, was the record shops located around the city. I would spend my weekends crate digging, and finding new music. One of my friends at a shop downtown played me a single titled "Talking" by A Flock of Seagulls, that he got from the UK. I couldn't even buy it at the time because there was only one copy in the shop. I was amazed, because I'd never heard anything like it! A little while later, I saw the video for 'I Ran' on MTV and, at that moment, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I also wanted to one day play music with the drummer of A Flock of Seagulls, and here I am now, working with him! It's a dream come true!"

"I got the conversation going with Ali through a mutual friend, who works on the band's sites and social media pages, and we took it from there. I was one of the first fans of the band here in the states! Ali is not only a brilliant and highly skilled drummer, but he's an incredibly kind and caring person. I consider him not only a collaborator, but a dear friend."

Over the years, Jenn Vix has collaborated with Reeves Gabrels (The Cure, David Bowie, Tin Machine), John Ashton (Psychedelic Furs), Andy Anderson (The Cure, Iggy Pop, Hawkwind), Danny Chavis (The Veldt), Marco Pirroni (Adam Ant, Rema Rema, The Models, Sinead O’Connor), Dirk Ivens (Absolute Body Control, The Klinik and Dive), and Rodney Anonymous (The Dead Milkmen).

Launching her musical career in Rhode Island, she cut her teeth in NYC in her teens, crossing paths with the likes of Iggy Pop, her first experience as a vocalist being with 1980s one-off band Disco Donut (with Adam Horovitz of The Beastie Boys and singer-songwriter Nicole Willis). A decade later, Vix broke out on the national scene, her self-released LP received a glowing 3.5-star review in Rolling Stone, who wrote, “Vix sounds perpetually enraptured. And the Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist has reason to be. Her music--clear, simple melodies awash in echo--is all dreaminess and shuddering, and from inside its swirl, her voice wafts up”.

Symphonic metal quintet VISIONS OF ATLANTIS are eager to make their return to North America! Earlier this year, the band was tapped by power metal icons DragonForce to join their upcoming Spring North American tour.
