KURT DEIMER TO SUPPORT YNGWIE MALMSTEEN ON SPRING TOURDEBUT EP ‘WORK HARD, ROCK HARD’ OUT NOW

DEIMER TO HOST INSTAGRAM LIVE WITH GUITARIST PHIL X & PRODUCER CHRIS LORD-ALGE WEDNESDAY, FEB 16, 4PM PST / 7PM EST

DEBUT EP ‘WORK HARD, ROCK HARD’ OUT NOW

Kurt Deimer has come a long way in less than six months. After joining forces with Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X and recording his debut EP ‘Work Hard, Rock Hard’ with Grammy-award winning engineer Chris Lord-Alge, he opened for Geoff Tate on the former Queensryche frontman’s U.S. tour last fall. Now, after being a featured member of the Stowaways on the Shiprocked cruise this January and performing alongside artists including Nita Strauss, Bumblefoot, P.O.D.’s Sonny Sandoval and Bad Brains’ HR, he's set to be direct support for Yngwie Malmsteen on the guitar legend’s upcoming North American tour (see tour dates below).

“Pure unadulterated rock and roll,” is how Deimer describes the aforementioned EP. “Our style, our voice, it comes after you with the propensity to think about what my lyrics are saying as the melodies and riffs pull you in. I love the whole album. Every damn song. It’s a curated rock and roll adventure, done in our style.”

Deimer has found a great bandmate in long-time Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X. “I think he is one of the best guitarists in the world. We vibe together. We are on the same page and same mission to rock the world for the rest of our lives, and we are bros and great friends to boot. We both say how blessed we are to have found each other.”

Phil X and Chris Lord-Alge will join Kurt Deimer on an Instagram Live event Wednesday, February 16, at 4pm PST / 7pm EST, live from Lord-Alge’s Mix LA recording studio, where Deimer is recording new music. Join the event from Kurt’s Instagram account (@KurtDeimer), where the three will be fielding questions and diving into their recording process.

Starting on April 29 in Harrisburg, PA, the frontman and his band will be direct support on Yngwie Malmsteen’s spring tour. “It’s very surreal, it’s an honor,” says Deimer. “Yngwie is a guitar master, and we will do him justice. We bring passion and expression, and we are always playing as if we are headlining Madison Square Garden - we want to blow your mind and take you on a full out, in your face, rock and roll journey. When you see our band, we are bringing rock and roll with style and flare. No time to sit still.”

The future for Deimer is extremely bright. “We are going to keep writing great rock and roll songs and performing live as much as we can. I just finished production on my first ‘Hellbilly Hollow’ movie, which will hopefully come out in late 2021, and am getting ready to shoot and star in the next film in the franchise. I was inspired to start my own horror franchise after being killed by Michael Myers in the 2018 release of ‘Halloween,’ where I played a gas station attendant. He messed me up! I just love collaborating with other artists and creating a future that is trippy and leaves you wondering what Kurt Deimer is going to do next… I’m a firm believer in keeping my family together, and when people come to see us, we are just that - a family. A fellowship. A tight knit group all on one mission.”

The musical band of brothers – Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones and Chris Thompson – play their own instruments, write their own songs and cling fast to their Texas roots. The trailblazing group has come a long way since their formation in 2000 at the University of North Texas, with the multi-Platinum hitmakers’ dynamic career thus far producing four chart-topping singles; 3x Platinum “Crazy Girl,” 2x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and Platinum “Love Ain’t” and “Drunk Last Night.” “Crazy Girl” also landed as Billboard's No. 1 Country Song of the Year and won the ACM Award for Song of the Year, with EYB also earning multiple GRAMMY, CMA, CMT, ACA and Teen Choice Award nominations. They have performed on national television shows such as TODAY, Conan, Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and FOX & Friends. Current single “Love Talking,” available everywhere now, offers the first glimpse at a forthcoming project planned for later this year.

The band will soon reveal the song that has been selected in the contest!

"Integrating new-romantic 80s vocals against intricate textures of flashy synth, technical Opeth-esque riffs and ambient soundscapes, Voyager are a genre-defying cosmic melting pot of prog metal, djent and power pop." - Metal Hammer

In 2020, VOYAGER's music video for "Runaway" was exclusively premiered via 'Eurovision - Australia Decides!' Following an application via the Song Portal, the band finally received recognition for submitting a track and were paid tribute on the live television broadcast that aired on Saturday, February 8 on the Gold Coast. The can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

The song was taken from VOYAGER's 2019 release 'Colours in the Sun,' which received a wealth of international accolades. Recently, the single "Brightstar" was the first place winner in the Rock / Alternative category of the USA songwriting contest! Last year, 'Colours in the Sun' was the winner of The Independent Music Award in the Rock/Hard Rock Album category. The record was released in November of 2019 and landed a coveted #1 placement on the Australian Independent Albums chart! 'Colours in the Sun' also debuted at #7 on Independent Label Albums as well as #27 on Official iTunes Australia.

Since their 1999 formation, whatever genre norms, boundaries and regulations thrust upon Perth, Australia’s Voyager have been smashed. They embrace, if not brandish pop; employ a keytar on stage, and, bring forward a positive, if not uplifting feeling to their music, running head-first into the endless parade of heavy bands who see the world in a different light. It’s perhaps why the title of their seventh full-length and first for Season of Mist, Colours in the Sun, is apropos: Voyager simply prefers to see the bright side of things.

“Observations of the malaises of the modern world and the baffling obsession with purity and difference all make me think,” says frontman and founding member Danny Estrin. “We’ve never had it better and we’ve never had it more colorful. To me that’s progress, it’s adaptation, it’s evolution and it’s astounding.”

The follow-up to 2017’s Ghost Mile, Colours in the Sun finds Voyager enmeshed in rich, melodic, song-first tapestries, led by Estrin’s smooth, capable clean vocal delivery. Estrin is self-aware of his vocals, calling them “unique and ‘80s.” But whatever tag Estrin affixes to his voice, they are the propellent throughout Colours in the Sun, serving up a steady diet of soaring, emotive choruses, where melody is paramount and along the way, even getting some help from another distinctive belter, Leprous’s Einar Solberg on “Entropy.”

“Einar and I became good friends on our tours through Europe and Australia,” notes Estrin. “I couldn’t help but ask him to guest on the album. He is a fantastic musician and vocalist. I sent him a reference track which he swiftly ignored and laid his own tracks down. The result is stunning!”

The kaleidoscope of sounds that comprise the album’s ten cuts is the result of Voyager’s far-reaching influences, many of which go beyond the traditional realms of metal and rock. Estrin calls it “catchy at the top, proggy at the bottom, as if Dream Theater and Depeche Mode had a baby.” It’s almost as if the term “progressive” is too limiting for Voyager, particularly when the guitar tandem of Simone Dow and Scott Kay merge for complex rhythms while doing battle against Estrin’s vaudeville-like keyboards (!) on “Reconnected.”

The “proggy at the bottom” notice is served by way of the rhythm section of bassist Alex Canion and drummer Ashley Doodkorte, who stretch their musical tentacles across busy, active cuts such as “Saccharine Dream” and the syncopated “Water Over the Bridge.” “I think we found our ‘voice’ on V (2014) and have been building on that ever since,” says Estrin. “The synthwave prog sound is really something that has naturally developed and has been refined even more on the new album. Every record is progress — that’s what progressive music is all about!”

According to Estrin, the Colours in the Sun album title encompasses a “vibrant multitude of people coming together under the hot Australian sun to create a beautiful and colorful soundscape.” It’s capped off by artwork courtesy of Doodkorte, who made the piece out of photographs near his house in Perth. A closer inspection reveals there are seven suns on the cover, one for each Voyager album, topped off by an updated version of the band’s logo comprised of five strokes, one for each member. No doubt a fitting visual summation of a band whose progress can be the described in the most literal and figurative of terms.

“It’s been a slow steady growth over the years,” concludes Estrin. “Other bands come and go after a year of fame. I really feel like we’ve built up an incredible fanbase, especially over the last decade, and the deal with Season of Mist seemed the logical step to take it to the next level together.”

Gvllow Finds Catharsis From Heartbreak on New Song "Die By Your Hand"; Watch Brand New Music Video Now

Post-punk solo artist, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer, GVLLOW, has dropped brand new track, "Die By Your Hand". Speaking on the song and its accompanying new video, GVLLOW shares

“This song was written about being in love with someone that ended up crushing my heart into a million pieces. As always, I write my music to be an outlet for my feelings and deal with them without hurting myself or the ones around me. I have become such a better version of myself since recording this song, but I wanted to capture the raw emotions of being vulnerable and facing the idea that it’s okay to feel, and it’s okay to be hurt, but it’s okay to dust yourself off and become the best version of yourself and grow from the pain."

Watch the new music video below and stream here.

GVLLOW released his acclaimed 'Spiritwalker' EP in Spring of last year, the release saw his stylistic expansion into post-punk and 80s goth. Heavily influenced by by the likes of Drab Majesty, Sisters Of Mercy and Bauhaus, the transition began with highly acclaimed single "Last Dance" from his previous, eponymous full-length and continued through the first single from 'Spiritwalker' - "Fell In Love With A Ghost" and subsequent single, "Pray To God" which was written about the tragic passing of GVLLOW's best friend and band mate, Zak Rodgers. To date, the EP has clocked up over 1 million streams, with the music videos hitting 456,000 YouTube views.

A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS co-founder ALI SCORE teams with JENN VIX on 'You Are A Star' single

"She who laughs last laughs loudest and proudest. If you too have maladious affairs of the heart, Jenn’ll Vix it for you... disparate influences feeding in and bleeding through" ~ Music-News.com

"Vix sounds perpetually enraptured. And the Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist has reason to be. Her music--clear, simple melodies awash in echo-- from inside its swirl, her voice wafts up" ~ Rolling Stone (3.5 Stars)

"Powerful and purposeful.. kick-ass with gripping vocals" ~ Skylight Webzine

"What do you get when you take powerful vocals, a stunning stage presence, an iconic image and excellence in the songwriting department and run them through a thread connecting not one, but two, members of The Cure and a whole series of other artists from other iconic bands, including Psychedelic Furs? You get Jenn Vix" ~ The Spill Magazine

Alternative pop artist Jenn Vix is back with a new retrowave single 'You Are A Star', a collaborative track featuring Ali Score, original drummer of legendary Grammy-winning new wave - synthpop band A Flock Of Seagulls.

This release sees the legendary drummer return to music after a lengthy hiatus, putting to work the technique that helped A Flock of Seagulls become one of the most influential bands of their era, blazing the way for new wave and synthpop, becoming a Top-40 band with numerous hit songs and a Grammy to their credit, not to mention their enigmatic presence and awe-inspiring sound, which many artists continue to emulate even today.

"Well, 'You Are a Star' is a love song. It's a tribute to someone who worked as an astronomer, and an astrophysicist. The music happened very late at night, as I was sitting in front of the keyboard, practicing, and then the lyrics drifted into my mind shortly after I wrote the music.... We're all made of stardust," says Jenn Vix.

As with her latest single 'PTSD', which offers a glimpse into her personal experience with the diagnosis and life with this disorder, Vix worked with Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Chris Gehringer (Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, Twenty One Pilots, St. Vincent).

Jenn Vix explains how this collaboration came to be: "When I was a kid, I moved to NYC from Miami. One of the most wonderful things about NYC at the time, was the record shops located around the city. I would spend my weekends crate digging, and finding new music. One of my friends at a shop downtown played me a single titled "Talking" by A Flock of Seagulls, that he got from the UK. I couldn't even buy it at the time because there was only one copy in the shop. I was amazed, because I'd never heard anything like it! A little while later, I saw the video for 'I Ran' on MTV and, at that moment, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I also wanted to one day play music with the drummer of A Flock of Seagulls, and here I am now, working with him! It's a dream come true!"

"I got the conversation going with Ali through a mutual friend, who works on the band's sites and social media pages, and we took it from there. I was one of the first fans of the band here in the states! Ali is not only a brilliant and highly skilled drummer, but he's an incredibly kind and caring person. I consider him not only a collaborator, but a dear friend."

Over the years, Jenn Vix has collaborated with Reeves Gabrels (The Cure, David Bowie, Tin Machine), John Ashton (Psychedelic Furs), Andy Anderson (The Cure, Iggy Pop, Hawkwind), Danny Chavis (The Veldt), Marco Pirroni (Adam Ant, Rema Rema, The Models, Sinead O’Connor), Dirk Ivens (Absolute Body Control, The Klinik and Dive), and Rodney Anonymous (The Dead Milkmen).

Launching her musical career in Rhode Island, she cut her teeth in NYC in her teens, crossing paths with the likes of Iggy Pop, her first experience as a vocalist being with 1980s one-off band Disco Donut (with Adam Horovitz of The Beastie Boys and singer-songwriter Nicole Willis). A decade later, Vix broke out on the national scene, her self-released LP received a glowing 3.5-star review in Rolling Stone, who wrote, “Vix sounds perpetually enraptured. And the Rhode Island multi-instrumentalist has reason to be. Her music--clear, simple melodies awash in echo--is all dreaminess and shuddering, and from inside its swirl, her voice wafts up”.

As an indication of her ever-evolving approach to her craft, in recent years, Vix has been performing both as a solo artist and also as vocalist-drummer (on an electronic drum kit) in Boston-based post-punk / electronic rock duo Feeney Vix.

As of February 25, 'You Are A Star' will be available online everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and Amazon. You can also find Jenn Vix on TikTok.

Take the Mutt Match Quiz – Find Your Furever Love and Win Tickets to The Bandwagon Tour!

Country Music icon and animal advocate Miranda Lambert has a lot of love to share on behalf of her pet-loving fans who have volunteered, fostered or adopted rescue pets. She’s donating $20,000 to 20 shelters that will each receive $1,000 on behalf of the caring people who gave their time and their hearts to these animals over this past year.

Lambert, who began volunteering at animal shelters as a teenager, and who has five rescue dogs, several cats, rabbits and horses said, “Shelter pets – especially the ones that are hardest to get adopted – and the people who care for them, have always had my heart. Valentine’s Day gives me one more chance to show just how special they all are to me.”

Are You Ready To Love Harder? If you’re game, take the Mutt Match quiz – it’s a playful questionnaire for people who want to step up for the harder-to-get-adopted dogs – large dogs, special needs dogs, pit mixes and senior dogs – and help match them with what may be their best Valentine ever. There’s also a chance to win tickets to The Bandwagon Tour featuring Lambert and Little Big Town! You can take the Mutt Match quiz here: www.quiz.muttnation.com.

BLACKTOP MOJO Deliver Valentine's Day Gift with Minimal, Harrowing Cover of THE TEMPTATION'S "My Girl"!

Texas Rock Band BLACKTOP MOJO has delivered the ultimate Valentine's card lament with their newest release, an unexpected and yet deeply poignant cover of The TEMPTATION'S 1965 hit single, "My Girl." Celebrating love while acknowledging the potential for loss, front-man MATT JAMES delivers an intensely emotional vocal performance, with the band providing an incredibly modern, bluesy backdrop on the iconic classic.

The single will be available to purchase / stream on February 25, 2022.

We all know this song. It’s a song that comes on the radio or starts playing in the background as you’re in the grocery store and immediately you begin to hum along and have visions of the new girl you’re falling head over heels for, and you feel all the warm fuzzy feelings she gives you, welling up inside. Our version of the song is when you fast forward into that relationship with the same girl that gave you all that warmth and sunshine, but she’s up and left you and taken the ‘Month of May’ with her.” - Matt James,

"We love the original tune. Everyone grew up listening to it. There’s definitely something special about Motown and that era of music and there’s a reason why artists like the Temptations have stood the test of time. However when you’re having a bad day, or maybe having it out with your lady, and a song like “My Girl” comes on, while nine times out of ten it’ll cheer you up, sometimes you just don’t want to hear a happy love song. Sometimes you’re in the ‘Lonely Hearts Club’ instead, and that’s where our version comes in." - BLACKTOP MOJO

While eight-time Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney is known for his stadium shows, performing to more than a million fans each summer of touring, leading The Wall Street Journal to deem him “The King of the Road,” the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee is equally taken with the intimacy and under-the-stars feeling of every summer.

“There is something about amphitheaters that creates an immediacy that is so intimate,” Chesney says. “The energy is very different from a stadium show, and it almost opens the songs up in completely different ways. It’s pretty cool to feel that difference between the two kinds of venues, but I can tell you: both are absolutely the greatest sensations in the world.

“Whether it’s a stadium full of people screaming ‘Noise’ at the top of their lungs, or ‘When The Sun Goes Down,’ or being quieter on ‘You & Tequila,’ or seeing all the lighters and cell phone lights out on the lawn at an amphitheater as people sing that first chorus of ‘Anything But Mine,’ you can sense how much these songs mean to people, and it’s incredible.”

Chesney, the only country artist in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top 25 Live Artists in 25 Years, has created the soundtrack for coming of age in the flyover for the 21st century. With his high energy shows, enduring songs and a fanbase who often follows him across the country, the Here And Now 2022 Tour promises to make for a memorable year.

“I never thought we’d be away from No Shoes Nation for three years,” he continues. “Now that we finally have the chance to spend the summer together again, I really wanted to provide as many opportunities as possible for everyone to come out and celebrate the music with us; the sense of community and the way we all feel so alive when we’re together celebrating what we love. Whether stadiums or amphitheaters, I can’t wait to see my favorite people in the world.”

Kicking off April 23 in Tampa, Fla. at Raymond James Stadium, Chesney plays 20 newly announced amphitheater dates along with 21 stadium concerts. Concluding the summer-long Here And Now 2022 Tour with what has become a No Shoes Nation tradition, he finishes with an already almost sold-out double-play at Foxborough, Mass.’s Gillette Stadium on August 26 and 27.

Tickets to the newly announced amphitheater dates go on sale Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. local time.

INGLORIOUS ANNOUNCE FIRST EVER LIVE RELEASE "MMXXI LIVE AT THE PHOENIX"

"MMXXI LIVE AT THE PHOENIX" ARRIVES APRIL 8, 2022

PERFORMANCE OF 'I DON'T NEED YOUR LOVING' OUT NOW

Fresh from a sold out, 22 date UK headline tour at the end of 2021, Inglorious are delighted to announce the release of their first ever live album, "MMXXI Live At The Phoenix" on April 8, 2022. You can watch a performance of the band's track 'I Don't Need Your Loving' from the upcoming release below.

Pre-order/save "MMXXI Live At The Phoenix" on CD+DVD/Blu-ray/LP/Digital HERE: https://orcd.co/livephoenix

Nathan James says, “This album is a real true representation of what this band is now. After 18 months of doing no shows, I believe you can hear just how excited we are to finally be playing live again. It's also the first time we have played many of these songs. The team involved were amazing and the whole process took very little time to mix. It's a proper live rock album and I truly believe the visuals on the DVD really have captured the energy of Inglorious. I am so proud of this album and it's really cool for people who haven't yet seen us live to hear these guys playing the songs that have been around long before they joined the band. It's musically tight, loud, and the tracklist features songs from all five of our albums so far...”

Set for release on CD/DVD, LP, Blu-ray, and Digital (audio only), "MMXXI Live At The Phoenix" was captured in September 2021 at Exeter Phoenix in Exeter, UK. The performance sees the British hard rockers unleashed on stage after being, like so many bands, stuck at home and unable to tour due to the worldwide pandemic. A formidable live band to begin with, the added dose of adrenaline makes for a stunning live performance showcasing songs from their four studio albums, Inglorious, II, Ride To Nowhere, and We Will Ride, and their most recent studio recording, the covers album Heroine.

The band's lineup, gelled and cohesive after having toured for the band's third album (Ride To Nowhere), writing and recording together for the fourth album (We Will Ride), and the recording of their covers album (Heroine), hit the stage on this tour with a passion and fury that can only come from being prevented from doing something you love for way too long. And, thankfully, one of these performances was captured for hard rock fans around the world to be able to see and hear this incredible live band in action. MMXXI Live At The Phoenix is a much needed documentation of this powerful band in the live setting.

Inglorious are five young men with a mutual love and respect for two long-running tentpoles of hard rock music: big guitar riffs and soulful vocals. Formed in February 2014, the band is fronted by Nathan James, who made a name for himself having sung for the multi-platinum selling Trans-Siberian Orchestra and legendary Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Nathan was looking for like-minded musicians that desired to make incredible rock music in a very honest fashion. The band’s self-titled debut album received critical and fan acclaim. The follow up album, “II” was another well received affair and was followed by the band’s third album, “Ride To Nowhere". Their fourth studio album, “We Will Ride” was released in February 2021 and charted in the UK, U.S., and several European countries. With the enforced live hiatus caused by the pandemic, the band then recorded a covers album “Heroine”. Released in late 2021, the album saw Inglorious put their own hard rock imprint on pop hits from Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, and Christina Aguilera in addition to taking on timeless classic rock songs by Tina Turner, Heart, and Joan Jett, and contemporary rock by the likes of Evanescence, Alanis Morissette, and Halestorm. A portion of all proceeds from the album went to the charity Women’s Aid.

LINE-UP:

Nathan James – Lead Vocals

Danny De La Cruz – Guitar

Dan Stevens – Guitar

Vinnie Colla – Bass Guitar

Phil Beaver – Drums/Percussion

PHARMACOSE Releases New SIngle, "Pretty Porcelain;" New LP, 'Prescription Fiction,' Out NOW!

Jacksonville, FL Alternative Rock project PHARMACOSE has released the newest single off of their new LP, Prescription Fiction, "Pretty Porcelain." A carefully constructed audio-journey through the ups and downs of bipolar disorder, and the increasing prevalence of mental illness in modern society, this second piece from Prescription Fiction expounds on the frustration and rewards of creating art in what often seems to be a vacuum. Despite the dark depth and complexity of the subjects, the album is an alt-rock gem of massive choruses, distorted guitars, and brutal percussion

'Pretty Porcelain' is a song I wrote right before the pandemic started. Lu and I had been recording together for a while, but I wanted to start doing some things on my own to bring to him. For me, being in the studio is a blast. Few things in life are as fun for me. I wanted to be able to bring some of that home, so I started putting together a home studio. It was primitive at the time because it was a small room in an apartment. The acoustics weren’t good, but I wrote and recorded the song anyhow. It turned out just okay. I was going to get Lu to mix it regardless, so I took all the tracks to him, and we just decided to redo most everything. At the very least, having a fully tracked demo makes things go a lot faster in the studio. I think we knocked out the recording in one or two sessions and finalized the mix in another. I’m very happy the song is getting released, because it represents the first steps on my own journey to become a better producer. I feel I’ve come a long way, and later in the year some of the stuff I produced on my own will come out.

The flip side to all this is that music production might be the most humbling thing I’ve ever done. Granted, there is a lot of good information out there, but there’s also a lot of bad advice, and when you’re still in the journeyman phase, it can be difficult to sort out what information is good and what isn’t. I started putting investing an insane amount of time recording and trying to learn. Some days I would come home from work, spend 8 hours in my studio, and then go to bed. I’d do it all over the next day. On the weekends I spent almost every waking hour doing the same thing. Somewhere along the way I started to become overwhelmed and frustrated to the point where I began to wonder what I was even doing. I was spending all this time trying to get better, and it seemed to be fruitless. 'Pretty Porcelain' came about because I decided to write about all that frustration. I just wanted to quit. It sounds funny, but somehow I compared all this effort to a piece of porcelain: it’s there, but it’s just not helpful or good for much other than perhaps being a topic of conversation. Overall, it’s a narrative of what things would be like if I just gave up and quit music. In the end, I think it’s my own personal cautionary tale. Fortunately, I didn’t quit, and at this point I don’t think I ever can." - Wes Jones (Vocals)

"On the surface, Prescription Fiction is a collection of songs that were written over the course of nearly a decade, but when put together, it tells the story of my mental health over that period. 'Take a Pill' was completed first, and I remember writing the lyrics down so furiously that it was almost illegible. I’m fairly certain I was manic then, but that period of my life was so emotionally chaotic that I can’t be certain. 'Does It Matter?' and 'Alternate Reality' were also written about that time. They’re frustration, anger, and sadness just spewed in all directions and at times incoherent. Those were written before I moved to Jacksonville, at which point I wasn’t doing much with my music. I was working and just trying to keep it together. Things fell apart in 2017 and I was hospitalized. I met Lu, our producer and bassist, when I was trying to get my life together. The songs that came after are reflections of the past, that episode in particular, and how I was feeling at the time. 'Checked Out,' for instance, is me using escapism to escape a lot of the shame I was feeling at the time, and 'The Clearing' was written right when I was starting to feel hopeful again. I encourage whoever listens to it to look at it that way. I’ve tried to be as emotionally honest as I can in hopes that maybe someone listens and realizes that if I can get through it, then maybe they can, too." - Wes Jones

Pharmacose is a collaborative alternative rock project hailing from Jacksonville, FL, that combines steadfast analog sounds with cutting edge flair. The project– a portmanteau of “pharmaceutical” and “comatose” –began as a collaborative effort between Jones and producer and bassist Lucio Rubino. Frequent collaborators include drummer Albert Cruz and guitarist Kevin Horne, who also round out their live act. They have previously released material under the name Digital Array.

Jones, a Memphis native, formed Pharmacose in 2017 with producer Lu Rubino shortly after moving to Jacksonville to pursue new career opportunities. Rubino, a veteran producer and bassist, has worked with ParamoreStoryside B, and The Showdown, among many others. Their creative process was chiefly inspired by Jones, a medical doctor, and his past struggles with mental illness.

Drawing on such themes as reintegration to life in the wake of acute mental health episodes and the side effects of psychiatric medication, Pharmacose wields their brand of rock to let those suffering from mental illness to know that they are not alone. The result is a powerful, explosive lyrical journey into the depths of existence that would appeal to fans of Queens of the Stone AgePorcupine TreeStarsetChevelleThe Mars Volta, and beyond.

By confronting anger, shame, and ultimately galvanizing hope, Pharmacose advocates for the awareness of mental health. Through vibrant soundscapes suffused with riveting synth. The group hopes to empower people to seek help, push through, and move from isolation toward connection.

Pharmacose released Prescription Fiction, Part 1, in 2020. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were gearing up to play live shows in anticipation of the release of part 2. With the subsequent lockdowns canceling those shows, Jones decided to begin working on new material and used the time to explore new sounds and assume a greater role in production. The result is several new songs, the first of which will be released in March 2022. In the meantime, Pharmacose will finally release Prescription Fiction as an entire album, rather than separately releasing part 2.

THE DEAD DAISIES Release "Rise Up (Live From Daisyland)

The Dead Daisies kick open the gates in 2022 with “Rise Up (Live From Daisyland)”, the first of four live tracks to be released over the coming months.

After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, The Dead Daisies rose to the occasion in 2021. Fuelled by a sense of adventure and excitement within the camp to finally plug in their guitars, the band tore up stages playing songs from their Holy Ground album for the very first time.

The Like No Other Tour across the US & England/Wales, delivered twenty-six massive shows with frenzied audiences that were lapping up both the new songs and rockin’ out to the classics.

Over the festive break, the task to select a few of the best songs began and after listening through some of the recordings, four amazing versions of Daisies’ favourites stood out.

“Rise Up”, “Bustle And Flow”, “Long Way To Go” and an incredible extended fiery version of the Deep Purple classic “Burn” almost makes you feel like you were there…

The tracks were recorded and produced by our illustrious Sound Engineer, Tommy Dimitroff at the famous Rock City, Nottingham, UK. The guys played in front of a massive, storming crowd who didn’t stop rocking all night which in turn fired up the band with the results being simply amazing!

LORDS OF THE TRIDENT Release Music Video For New Single "Charlatan"

Wisconsin-based heavy metal outfit LORDS OF THE TRIDENT have released the second single from their upcoming studio album, 'The Offering'. The new track, "Charlatan", is out today - along with a thrilling new music video. Fans who are already members of the band's Patreon received a week's worth of early access to both the song + video ahead of the public release!

Talking about their new single "Charlatan", Lords of the Trident comment:

"Anyone who's seen a live Lords of the Trident show knows that we're no stranger to pyrotechnics. This video was shot in complete darkness, with the only source of light coming from the burning cannon fuse! The plant in China that makes this specific type of fuse burned down in 2019, so we only have enough fuse for one take each. ...it took us a few takes (and a lot of coughing) to realize we should've probably opened a window during filming."

The new album from Lords of the Trident, 'The Offering', will be released on April 1, 2022 - but it's available NOW via the band's Patreon.

About the LORDS OF THE TRIDENT Patreon:

The full album (The Offering) is available right now for members of the Lords of the Trident Patreon who pledge $5 or more. This pledge not only gets you an immediate copy of the new album, but also their three previous albums (Shadows from the Past, Pull the Plug, and Power Outage) as well as 20+ internet-exclusive singles, 25+ full-concert bootlegs, and a mountain of exclusive content for Patreon backers only. The full album will not be released publicly until April, so being a backer is the only way to hear it before it releases. 100% of the money pledged goes directly to the band and helps them play more shows, make more content, and survive the evils of the music industry.

"So far, those brave enough to join our METAL ARMY via the Patreon have been absolutely raving about the album non-stop! I've lost count of the number of times people have said "Album of the Year", and just the other day there was a FOUR-PAGE discussion on our discord about how good the songwriting and drumming was. We've been asking our top-tier backers to help us pick the next music videos to release, and almost all of them have been a dead tie. To say we're happy with the reception so far is a vast understatement!"

For even more from Lords of the Trident, the band partnered with YouTube/internet sensation Big Man Tyrone for a very fun promotional video,

The Offering is the fifth full-length album by Lords of the Trident (and their 10th release overall). This medieval concept album weaves a tragic story of a young boy sold into servitude, his arduous training to become a "Guardian", and the city that betrays him. Mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated Jacob Hansen (engineer for Avantasia, Unleash the Archers, Volbeat, Amaranthe, and more), this is one of the best-sounding epics you'll hear. Filled with blazing solos, soaring vocals, complex drumming, and multi-layer musical composition, 'The Offering' will take you on a heroic and tragic musical journey that will stay in your mind long after the album has finished.

About LORDS OF THE TRIDENT:

Since 2008, the immortal warriors of Lords of the Trident have been pillaging cities and melting faces with their brand of adventurous and epic heavy metal. Sharing the stage (and the tour circuit) with bands such as Unleash the Archers, 3 Inches of Blood, and Seven Kingdoms, their high-energy, pyrotechnic-laden live performances are a sight to behold. Producing more video content, live streams, and music than a band twice their age, the Wisconsin-based quintet are releasing their fifth full-length album (and tenth overall release) The Offering this year. If you like battle, bloodshed, axes, fire, and losing limbs, then mosh your way to the front row and receive your free ticket to Valhalla. If you don’t like these things – too bad. They’re playing anyway, and they’ll make sure to steal your girlfriend in the process.

Scotty McCreery Premieres Official Music Video for Current Single "Damn Strait"

SCOTTY McCREERY PREMIERES OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR CURRENT SINGLE “DAMN STRAIT”

“Damn Strait” Marks North Carolina Native’s
Fastest Rising Single of His Career

ScottyMcCreery.com

As Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery’s fastest rising single of his career reaches the Mediabase Top 30 and continues climbing, the multi-Platinum selling singer/songwriter premiered the official music video for “Damn Strait” yesterday evening via YouTube. Watch the video HERE.

Filmed in the historic Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas, where George Strait himself played for years honing his craft before landing a record deal and becoming the King of Country Music, the video was directed by Austin, Texas-based filmmaker Jeff Ray, who has collaborated with McCreery on the videos for “Five More Minutes,” “This is It” and “In Between.”

The video served as McCreery’s first visit to the legendary venue, and the video, like the song, pays homage to Strait, showcasing photos and memories from the beginning of his decades-long career while McCreery and band perform on the famed stage.

“‘Damn Strait’ is both a classic country heartbreak song as well as a tribute to George Strait,” said McCreery. “I knew I wanted to film it at a place that paid respect to both elements of the song. When my director Jeff Ray suggested Gruene Hall, where George performed regularly with his Ace in the Hole Band before becoming the legend that he is today, I knew that was the perfect location. You can feel the history and the music of country music’s past and present in every inch of that venue. I’ve wanted to visit Gruene Hall for a long time, and now that I have, I’m looking forward to eventually coming back there to do a show.”

Upon the song’s release, Rolling Stone named it a “Pick of the Week” calling it “clever songwriting, delivered by one of the genres’ best King George disciples,” while Billboard praises, “Another ace is the clever track ‘Damn Strait,’ a rare outside cut on the project, penned by Trent Tomlinson and Jim Collins, in which McCreery name checks several of King George's greatest hits.”

“Damn Strait” follows McCreery’s fourth consecutive No. 1 single “You Time,” also from his fifth studio album Same Truck. Released in late 2021, the Garner, North Carolina native shifted his perspective to reflect on the last decade of his career and life with wife Gabi and dog Moose, with Tennessean sharing, “McCreery walks a sonic tightrope that leans into his country influences while not abandoning modern Music Row hitmaking,” while Sounds Like Nashville observes, “with 12 tracks in total, those songs ended up showing more maturity than ever, and exploring everything from the common bonds his fans share to the eternal flame of romance.”

Same Truck was produced by Frank Rogers, Aaron Eshuis and Derek Wells, the team who produced his previous project, the RIAA Gold-certified Seasons Change which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and contained three consecutive No. 1 hits: the Double RIAA Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” Platinum-certified “This is It,” and Gold-certified “In Between.” McCreery co-wrote every song on that album.

McCreery will continue his 2022 Same Truck Tour tomorrow Thursday, Feb. 10 at The Fillmore in Detroit, Mich. He’s also heading overseas both for the three day C2C (Country To Country) Festival in Ireland and the UK, as well as his own dates in Germany and the Netherlands. Tickets are available at ScottyMcCreery.com.

About Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery’s new album Same Truck is available now everywhere music is sold. It contains his fourth consecutive No. 1 single “You Time” and the fan-favorite “Damn Strait,” the second single from the album rapidly climbing the charts at Country radio now. McCreery co-wrote 10 of the 12 songs on Same Truck. He achieved new heights by earning three back-to-back No. 1 hits from his last album Seasons Change, the RIAA Gold-certified project which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart: the RIAA Double Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “This Is It,” which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks, and RIAA Gold-certified “In Between.” McCreery co-wrote all 11 songs on Seasons Change, which Rolling Stone named as one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018.” All four of his previous albums have debuted at No. 1 on a Billboard Albums chart, with current combined sales surpassing 3 million copies. He’s earned one Double Platinum, four Platinum and two Gold singles; won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011; was named the ACM New Artist of the Year in 2011; won the CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (‘The Trouble with Girls’) in 2012; American Country Awards for New Artist of the Year in 2011 and Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013; BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year four times (in 2015 for “See You Tonight,” in 2018 for “Five More Minutes,” in 2019 for “This is It.” and 2021 for “In Between”); a Carolina Beach Music Award for National Dance Song of the Year (‘Barefootin’’) in 2018; and the NSAI Nashville Songwriter Award for One of the Top Ten Songs I Wish I’d Written (‘Five More Minutes’) in 2018. The North Carolina native released his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, in 2016; it was re-released in paperback in 2020. His song “Five More Minutes” inspired a popular movie of the same name which aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network during November-December 2021. McCreery launched his recording career by making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200

Morgan Wallen’s DANGEROUS Kicks-Off at Madison Square Garden w/ 13,237 Strong

Clad in a flannel cut-off shirt, denim jeans and boots, Morgan Wallen opened his Dangerous Tour at Madison Square Garden tonight, the first stop on his 54-city trek across the country. With a decibel level averaging 30dBs louder than the average game at the arena, the songwriter/superstar eased into the night opening the show with current single “Sand In My Boots” solo on piano before asking the crowd, “What you say we do something country in New York City tonight?”

And that’s exactly what the 13,237 crowd did. Showing up early, by 8 pm the crowd was at 92% capacity, a full 75 minutes before their headliner took the stage.

“My name is Morgan Wallen,” he said introducing himself, three songs in to his 23-song-set. “We were supposed to start our tour in Indiana, but the good Lord had other plans, so for 2022, our first show is right here in Madison Square Garden,” before grinningly adding, “Make it hard for the next people who come see us on tour.”

Broken into four quarters and overtime, with two surprise guests (ERNEST on “Flower Shops” and HARDY on “He Went To Jared”), the sold-out crowd was treated to music spanning both of Wallen’s albums, 2018’s If I Know Me (“Chasin’ You,” “Up Down”) and 15 songs from 2021’s 33-song Dangerous: The Double Album. During “7 Summers” fans mimed the lyrics and facetimed those at home, and during “Cover Me Up” phone flashlights stayed on while Wallen confessed, “this is one of my favorite songs to sing.”

As he dove into his final two songs (“Wasted On You” and “Whiskey Glasses”) standing on the edge of his stage, the boy from East Tennessee said in closing, “I never thought I’d be doing this. You all are incredible.”

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN:
The New Yorker dubbed Morgan Wallen “the most wanted man in country” in part due to the CMA Award Winner’s 8 billion on-demand streams, multi-platinum certifications and four consecutive chart-toppers, and in part due to his flyover appeal: “Bruce Springsteen meets Larry the Cable Guy.” The critically-acclaimed follow-up to his Double Platinum breakout If I Know Me, Dangerous: The Double Album (Big Loud/Republic Records), topped 2021’s all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart with 3.2 million units sold and sparked an in-demand 54-date THE DANGEROUS TOUR in 2022 that kicks off this February and sees the “Up Down” (2017), “Whiskey Glasses” (2018), “Chasin’ You” (2019), “More Than My Hometown” (2020), “7 Summers” (2020, named one of Time Magazine’s Best Songs of the Year) and “Sand In My Boots” (currently Top 5 at Country radio) singer playing two nights at Madison Square Garden and three nights at Bridgestone Arena. Working outside the traditional Nashville mainframe with producer Joey Moi, Hits Magazine notes, “Wallen continually colors outside the lines,” adding, in turn “he’s connected to his fans in ways unprecedented for a country star.” With over 705k tickets already sold ahead of the tour’s launch, $3 from every ticket sold benefits the songwriter from East Tennessee’s More Than My Hometown Foundation.

ABOUT HARDY:
Big Loud Records’ booming upstart HARDY broke new ground with critically acclaimed debut album, A ROCK, “an album that owes as much to AC/DC as George Jones” and “one of the most self-assured full-length debut albums in years” (Billboard). The project joins his countrified mixtape HIXTAPE VOL. 1 and most-recent HIXTAPE VOL. 2, as well as career-launching EPs THIS OLE BOY and WHERE TO FIND ME. Nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 2021 CMA Awards, three 2021 ACM Awards, one of CRS’ 2021 New Faces of Country Music, a CMA Triple Play award recipient and a Vevo DSCVR artist, the pride of Philadelphia, MS has earned his reputation as "Nashville's most clever new redneck songwriter" (Rolling Stone). The 2020 AIMP Songwriter of the Year has co-penned NINE #1 singles since 2018, including his first-ever #1, platinum-certified “ONE BEER” feat. Lauren Alaina + Devin Dawson. Current Top 20 single “GIVE HEAVEN SOME HELL” is a hard-charged tribute to a fallen friend, making a statement as the most-added single of the week at country radio upon launch. Serving as direct support on Morgan Wallen's The Dangerous Tour now, HARDY previously shared the stage with Jason Aldean, FGL, Chris Lane, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell and more.

ABOUT LARRY FLEET:
Blue-collar, Tennessee native Larry Fleet grew up with a love of music sparked by an eclectic mix of influences spanning Merle Haggard to Marvin Gaye. To make ends meet, he spent tireless hours working construction jobs – never losing sight of his dream to make music. A chance encounter with Jake Owen in 2017 led to a collaborative friendship and an opening slot on the road. Shortly thereafter, Fleet was sharing the stage with one of his heroes - Willie Nelson - and etching his mark in the Nashville songwriting community, co-writing with esteemed tunesmiths Rhett Akins, Brett James, and Kendell Marvel. The hard-working family man is turning heads now with sophomore album, Stack of Records (Big Loud Records), produced by Joey Moi, the follow up to his aptly-titled debut, Workin’ Hard. Breakout hit “Where I Find God” – a powerful ode to finding peace in a higher power’s presence – is featured on the new project, garnering Fleet praise for his “emotive vocals” (Billboard) and amassing nearly 19 Million YouTube official music video views. Fleet is currently on the road supporting Morgan Wallen's The Dangerous Tour.

Check Out SOUTH OF EDEN First Independent Single, "Lone Riders"!

Columbus, OH based Rock Band SOUTH OF EDENfollows up their blistering cover of the 1984 B-Side favorite "Drop Dead Legs" with their newest, classic rock gem "Lone Riders". Directed, Filmed, and Edited by John Payne, the ferocious, guitar driven new single was produced by front-man Ehab Omran and Jakob Mooney.

Fans can catch the band live February 18th at Southgate House Revival in Newport, KY, tickets are available online HERE.

“We chose ‘Lone Riders’ as our first single because we felt the high-energy music and down to earth lyrics encapsulate everything about this band. It’s about being broke, overlooked, and over being on the outside looking in. You deal with it by getting high and watching life go by because you can’t afford to keep up with it.

It’s a mixture of a lot of things. We’re ‘classically rock’ influenced, but listen to so many different genres and eras that there are a lot of different feelings in our music.

When you hear us, I want you to walk away thinking, ‘That was honest and different'. We’re just doing what we do. We’re proof you can do anything you want and shouldn’t compromise your dreams.” - EHAB OMRAN (vocals)

“We’re a band that writes, records, and plays like the pioneers of rock before us. We aren’t looking to bring anything back, but instead to remind people what rock n roll means. No rules. This music represents what we believe is real, raw music.”

South of Eden (formerly Black Coffee) are: Ehab Omran [lead vocals, acoustic guitar], Justin Young [lead guitar, vocals], Tom McCullough [drums], and Nick Fratianne [bass]. The Columbus, OH quartet have already performed alongside everyone from the Foo Fighters to System Of A Down, and invite you to join them on their journey of looking at rock ‘n’ roll through a modern lens.

“Our goal is to help open the doors for rock in the modern era. We want to sound the way we hear rock n roll in our heads; vintage with a sprinkle of today. The objective is to give listeners the feeling of discovering the genre for the first time. We think now is the moment to be a rock band.”

The band has already paid their dues to reach this point. Growing up in Columbus, OH the band formed by combining their passions and uniting over their love of music. Originally from the country of Jordan, Ehab primarily listened to the Arabic music his parents would play, in addition to superstars like Michael JacksonPhil Collins, and James Brown. After coming to America, he was introduced to a wider range of music that inspired him: eighties and nineties rock including Guns N’ Roses and notably Queen. Just like Freddie Mercury’s parents, Ehab’s parents didn’t agree that a life in rock ‘n’ roll was the best thing for their son. However, as he met the rest of the band, his dream became a life affirming reality.

Ehab and Nick performed together in various bands (channeling Iron Maiden,Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Alice In Chains) and eventually joined Justin and Tom who had been working on their own band (influenced by Van Halen and Black Sabbath). Justin, who was at the time attending Berklee College of Music, describes first writing with Ehab and noted “The first jam was crazy. He came over with Tom and just listened for a while. We had the riffs to songs, and he just immediately started singing. Here I had gone to music college to find people I could mesh with stylistically, only to come back home and find that my best friend and a singer that I had already known about were all I needed!”

The band has recently performed on high caliber Rock festivals including AftershockLouder Than Life, and Riff Fest and alongside bands like Evanescence & Alice CooperPuddle of MudRed Sun Rising10 YearsBlacktop Mojo.

On their previous record, The Talk, the musicians headed to Los Angeles to record with legendary GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Greg Wells [AdeleTwenty One PilotsDeftones]. “When I first heard the band, it had its own original identity,” explains Greg. “That was something I had waited years to find. I emailed them back saying, ‘I want to be your Mutt Lang’.”

When it came to recording, they honor the methods of those who come before them and “tape in a vintage way, with no click track, pitch correction, copy-paste, or any of that nonsense” and have kept the same approach on their newest release, "Lone Riders," produced by Ehab and Jakob Mooney.

Irish songstress AVA VOX releases haunting single 'Alone Again' ahead of debut 'Immortalised' LP

"One of the most impressive musical debuts to emerge from The Emerald Isle this year... folks are in for a pleasant shock in the same way they may have felt upon hearing Siouxsie and the Banshees for the first time" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Like the long-lost love child of Nina Hagen, X-Mal Deutschland, Daniella Drax, Siouxsie Sioux, Lene Lovich and Lydia Lynch, Crash is a post-punk explosion of goth aesthetics, female empowerment and evocative, provocative theatrics" ~ The Manc Review

"Restoring Ireland’s reputation of a country that produces superb post-punk, first ignited like pioneers such as Blue In Heaven, Into Paradise, Whipping Boy" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"Ireland's dark horse... a gripping and evocative performance overall... conveying a poignant and ever-present cautionary message" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Dublin's Ava Vox presents her new single 'Alone Again', a slow-paced haunting hymn and the second taste of her forthcoming debut album 'Immortalised', slated for release in late March.

This song features bassist James Blennerhassett, who has worked with Elvis Costello, The Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithful and Van Morrison, as well as drummer Robbie Casserly, who has worked with Elvis Costello, Mark Knopfler, The Commitments and Riverdance.

"The song 'Alone Again' is about an abusive relationship, where the victim eventually gets the courage to escape from their abuser. Once away, they realise it was the right thing to do for them, and they feel happy and safe at last. But then the abuser lures them back again, saying they will change, it will never happen again," says Ava Vox.

Ava Vox recently released the single 'Crash', a post-punk banger with lively video, produced by Isaac Burke, sending an ominous warning about environmental devastation - a visualization of the world crashing down. In early 2021, she debuted with a cover of The Cure's 'Love Song' and her 'Strange Days' single, which included her rendition of Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love' and Bowie's 'Life on Mars'.

The 'Immortalised' LP was produced by Ray McLoughlin (RMC Recording Studios), a musician / producer who has performed or recorded with innumerable artists from Cliff Richard, Daniel O’Donnell to Francis Black and Rick Astley.Having toured worldwide, performing in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie and the Sydney Opera House, he has also served as musical director for shows for RTE, BBC, PBS America and SKY.

A Dublin native, Ava Vox (real name Elaine Hannon) now lives in County Meath. While involved with various music projects in the past few decades, her Ava Vox persona emerged in September 2020. With a unique vocal timbre and commanding delivery with a dash of goth rock and post-punk, her musical style ranges from slow melodic atmospheric to dynamic rock.

Venturing out as a vocalist at 17, Elaine quickly graduating from backing to lead vocalist. In the mid-1980’s, Elaine formed gothic rock / post-punk band The Seventh Veil, which ultimately disbanded in 1991. After significant airplay and excellent reviews by the likes of Hot Press Magazine, Eamonn Carr, and the Evening Herald, the band won the Battle of the Bands competition, the prize being recording time with Dublin producer Paul Thomas, well known for his work with U2, Kate Bush, UB40, Status Quo, Davy Spillane and Clannad.

As of February 9, 'Along Again' will be available across online stores and streaming services, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Immortalised' album will be released on March 25.
