DANCE WITH THE DEAD Announce New Album 'Driven To Madness' & US Co-Headlining Tour with Magic Sword

Electronic music duo DANCE WITH THE DEAD have unveiled the news of their upcoming sixth studio album. The new LP, 'Driven To Madness', will see a January 10th, 2022 release. To give fans their first taste of the new record, DWTD has released a new music video for the first single, titled "Sledge", which can be found below.

Teasing what fans can expect from their new studio album and future touring, DWTD comment, “Driven to Madness is our most intense record to date and it will take you for one hell of a ride. We’re really excited to play some of the new material for the first time on our upcoming tour in 2022.”

DANCE WITH THE DEAD is an electronic-based music duo by Justin Pointer and Tony Kim. Inspired by retrospective movies and music from the ’60s, ’70s, and '80s, their sound reflects heavily on analog synthesizer sounds and early heavy metal guitars. They released their debut record “Out of Body” on October 31st, 2013 to great reviews in the synth, metal, and EDM communities alike. PERPETUAL ETUDE Release Music Video for "Sail Away" (feat. Göran Edman)

Swedish heavy metal newcomers Perpetual Etude released their debut album, 'Now Is The Time', earlier this autumn. Perpetual Etude was formed in 2019 by Magnus Mild with the sole goal to bring back the best of heavy metal from the '80s. Influenced by the genre when growing up, Magnus teamed up with members from NorthTale, ex-members from Dionysys, Nation, Shadowquest, as well as Göran Edman on “Sail Away” to complete the vision. The new album Memento Mori will be released on December 31, 2021 via Napalm Records and will continue the success story of the medieval rockers from Germany / Franconia! On the new album, FEUERSCHWANZ finally take a step away from the simpler humor of earlier days to become one of the most important bands in German folk rock.

With chanting violin playing, Memento Mori starts its heroic journey with its eponymous opener. The song turns out to be a melodic rock anthem with a well-known medieval character, a blazing guitar riff and life-affirming lyrics. On "Untot im Drachenboot", the squad around Captain Feuerschwanz sets off for new musical shores in a Viking ship full of undead warriors. "Rausch der Barberei", on the other hand delivers a violent, raw voice and driving drumming that send its listeners into unbridled frenzy. On "Krampus", FEUERSCHWANZsing in a canon of vocals and instruments about the ancient legend of the demonic companion of St. Nicholas, who is dressed in fur and a horned mask. On the ballad "Das Herz eines Drachen" (The Heart of a Dragon), the medieval folk rockers show their sensible side. In a fire lit by burning guitar sounds and flute melodies, a warrior mourns his fallen father with his head held high. "Hannibal" on the other hand embarks on a raging battle of powerful choirs, swirling violin and guitar solos and driving drums, led by army commander Hannibal. The crowning finale of the almost 40-minute adventure is provided by "Skaldenmet" with its proudly advancing bass.

In typical FEUERSCHWANZ manner, Memento Mori is about great adventures, past battles and outstanding heroic deeds. To Build New Production Plant, Transparent Factory Experience and Special Event Location

Napalm Records, one of the world’s leading independent Rock & Metal labels, and vinyl manufacturing company Austrovinyl – both based in Styria, Austria – are thrilled to announce that they have joined forces for a strategic partnership, strengthening the domestic music market and expanding international structures.

The new collaboration will cover the increased in-house demand for vinyl, while strategically expanding business for Napalm Records, who have already ventured into different fields with their booking agency “Napalm Events” as well as their festival brands “Metal On The Hill” and “Rock In Graz”. Austrovinyl, located in the midst of the beautiful Styrian thermal spa & wine region, will continue to establish itself as one of the most state-of-the-art record pressing plants in Europe, and a reliable, high-quality producer of vinyl records.

Together, the companies will support the local and international music landscape and all its artists, bands and labels within various genres of rock and pop, hard and heavy, jazz and world music, alternative and indie, as well as techno, electro, hip-hop, soul and many others.

This growth and the enormous increase in demand for vinyl requires an extension of the company’s production and storage capacities. Therefore, a new pressing plant will be built in Fehring, Austria (with the nearest airport in Graz), within the same scenic Styrian region as Austrovinyl’s current location. At this new location, the machinery will be expanded onto a floor space of approx. 800m2, where the production can be tripled.

Taking this step will also create new jobs, creating further growth and expansion after the number of employees at Austrovinyl already doubled in 2021.

In addition to Napalm Records and Austrovinyl expanding production and storage capacities, the new building will also include a transparent factory experience that provides a complete world of experience around the vinyl record – a paradise for all music lovers! The manufacture and production of a record can be experienced firsthand during guided tours in the context of the "Erlebniswelt Wirtschaft" (world of business experience). On more than 200 m², the newest music on vinyl and live music will be presented in a café/club atmosphere. This will include a store area, where the latest pressings and productions of Austrovinyl can be purchased, as well as the releases and special editions out via Napalm Records and many other vinyl classics and specials in the various genres listed above.

The project planning is in the final stages and start of construction is scheduled for January 2022, with the goal of opening by the end of the second quarter of 2022.

The North American run, announced today, will see JOHN 5 & THE CREATURES hit 27 stops across the country on The SINNER Tour. The tour kicks off in Roseville, CA on April 21st and will culminate in a very special 3-night run at Iridium in New York on July 9th, 10th and 11th. It also includes two shows supporting Fozzy in Houston (4/29) and San Antonio (4/30) a performance at world-renowned festival Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, FL (5/21). JOHN 5 will also be welcoming new creature to the band. The SINNER Tour will be the first time fans get to see new drummer Alex Mercado perform live as part ofTHE CREATURES.

JOHN 5 dropped his new solo album, SINNER back in October, the album was highlighted by the release of singles "Que Pasa" featuring Dave Mustaine and "Land of The Misfit Toys" which was accompanied by a cinematic music video set in 1980, that tells the tale of a young John Lowery who stumbles into a haunted house and becomes possessed by an entity. When Guitar World convened their State of Guitar in 2021 all-star summit, JOHN 5 appeared on the magazine’s cover, right alongside Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Tool’s Adam Jones. Without a doubt, his reputation as a guitar-slinging troubadour and top-notch shredder is well-earned, recognized by friends, peers, and collaborators like Slash, Paul Gilbert, and

His band Dirty Trixx won a Battle of the Bands in middle school. Vampirella came next, in high school, when he adopted his now-signature theatrical makeup look. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles to become a session player, performing with Lita Ford, Randy Castillo, K.D. Lang, 2wo (Two) with Rob Halford, David Lee Roth and Marilyn Manson, who gave him the “John 5” moniker.

After a chance encounter with the legendary Les Paul, JOHN began work on his first-ever solo album, Vertigo in 2004, laying the groundwork for several records to come.

Rob Zombie recruited John initially to perform as a live guitarist only on the 2006 Ozzfest tour. But the chemistry between them proved so electric that they began work on 2006’s Educated Horses. As guitarist and co-writer, he appeared on all subsequent Rob Zombie albums and scored 2013’s The Lords of Salem. JOHN 5’s fifth record with Rob Zombie, The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy, became the hard rock icon’s first No. 1 album. The debut single from L.A. RUSH CELEBRATES MOVING PICTURES 40th ANNIVERSARY BY MAKING RARE PHOTO OUTTAKES AVAILABLE

Photographer Deborah Samuel is credited for capturing the now-iconic album cover images for the Rush albums ‘Permanent Waves,’ ‘Moving Pictures,’ ‘Exit…Stage Left,’ and ‘Signals.’ Now in the 40th anniversary year of ‘Moving Pictures’ – long considered one of rock’s all-time classic albums – fans will be able to obtain extremely rare photograph outtakes from the album cover shoot.

Incredibly, these ‘Moving Pictures’ photographs have never been made public. No alternate versions have appeared in magazines, in calendars, in books, or online anywhere, and have now been made available for the first time ever with the release of the Deborah Samuel Collection.

Contained in this ultra-limited-edition curated collection are: three alternate front album covers, three alternate back album covers, and twelve alternate interior album art photographs of both Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee taken from the original ‘Moving Pictures’ photo shoot.

“I clearly remember the day Deborah set up for this cover, and especially the interior series of the ‘Moving Pictures’ photographs,” said Alex Lifeson. “I was jumping around in the dark with a bright strobe flashing away, which was disorienting to say the least, but the results fit so well with the album concept, and I loved the final photos she produced. I’m thrilled to revisit them and make the covers and these interior photos available in support of Grapes For Humanity.”

In partnership with Definitive Authentic, Grapes for Humanity is supporting the Genius 100 Foundation's (G100) Gift of Sight Campaign and the Himalayan Cataract Project (HCP). Proceeds from the sale of this special anniversary collection of photographs will provide the funds necessary to perform as many sight restoring surgeries ($125USD per) as possible for those in need in various under-resourced regions around the global where HCP has operations. These groups are working to eradicate preventable and curable blindness in low to middle income countries.

Bristol-based Avant indie pop outfit Modesty Blaise are ending 2021 in a blaze of Christmas delight with their new single 'I'll Be Home For Xmas', out now. They present their festival message in a buoyant poptastic festive video, produced by Dorothy Collins with support from cinematographer M.M. Van Dyke, and filmed at various locations and Factory Studios in Bristol.

Modesty Blaise have always wanted to make a Xmas record. Steeped in the traditions of the Spector/Wizzard school of huge productions, recording started in July 2021 at the height of summer, as all good Xmas records should. Many instruments and sessions later, this single came to fruition in late October as days grew shorter. Now it’s ready for you. Are you bringing the snow?

This release follows up ‘The Modesty Blaise’ LP (February 2021), their third release via German label From Lo-Fi to Disco! and first long-player in 20 years, having released their head-turning 'Melancholia' LP in 2001.

Modesty Blaise mastermind and vocalist Jonny Collins is joined here by David W. Brown (bass), Gregory Jones (guitars), Mark Bradley (drums), Alastair Jenkins (guitars) and Roger Huckle (violin).

Modesty Blaise have been around since 1993 in various guises. In that year, they recorded their debut single 'Christina Terrace' with Edwyn Collins at the helm, garnering them immediate success with a live appearance on ITV and inclusion among many end-of-year top music rankings. This acclaim however was not enough to quell the kind of internecine warfare that Modesty Blaise have become famous for. Line-up changes and deteriorating personal circumstances delved into an all-too-familiar spiral and it would be years until a full reformation.

Oher Modesty Blaise career highlights include supporting Robbie Williams at London's O2 Arena, inclusion in a Rough Trade compilation, an ITV company documentary on Jonny Collins, and a BBC Radio session involving seventeen people.

VONAMOR presents 'Take Your Heart', the lead track from their debut 'VONAMOR' album. Produced by Lucio Leoni, this 8-track collection will be released in February 2022 via Time To Kill Records (TTK).

This is a quick-paced track, recalling the best dark pop of the '80s, with a tandem of male and female voices, confronting each other without reaching a mutual understanding, the addictive rhythm all the while inciting dance and movement.

On 'Take Your Heart', the incongruities of language are a humorous counterpart to an imperfect world, made up of discord, virtual realities, and fatal detachment from spontaneity and lightness. The first female voice is answered by the addressed male voice, although he ultimately answers from “the undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveller returns”.

A game of Dionysian invocations, of accusations and misunderstandings - all of it held together by a deep love that overcomes death. 'Take Your Heart' is an invocation to life, to love, to irony, to spontaneity in line with the poetry of VONAMOR’s music.

The video for 'Take Your Heart', directed and edited by Fabio Santomauro, is ironic and lively. On the one hand, it is an exhortation to the spontaneity and naivety typical of childhood, making you want to dance, to indulge in free and unconsciously autoironic movements. On the other hand, it shows the perils of detachment from reality, incomprehension and detrimental consequences of a literal reading of each other's words.

VONAMOR is made up of sisters Giulia Bottaro (voice, bass, metal flute) and Francesca Bottaro (drum station, sequencer, sax, clarinet) and vocalist Luca Guidobaldi, with Francesco Bassoli (guitars and loops) and Martino Cappelli (guitars, mandolin, bouzouki, oud, loops) joining the trio for live performances.

Theirs is a story of unexpected timbres, resonating at the very intersection between darkwave and electro music. The band's roots date back to 2016 Rome, when their focus was to communicate images, authoring various scores for short films. This morphed into the trio as we know it today with its contemporary taste and allure, literary echoes, imperious art-pop and enigmatic aesthetics.

“VONAMOR is an escape plan, our treasure island, a thick and savage jungle that gives you the chance to let your prayers and whispers reverberate like a church. We used the music in this album to walk paths that we hadn’t known before, to connect Rome to Paris to Berlin to Beijing, to mix techno music with folk, to let our voices and bodies mingle and dance to an incredibly weird yet familiar beat, and finally to search for a boom of love and light into the dark of our everyday’s life: yes, VONAMOR is a boom!" says Luca Guidobaldi.

In the past year, the band has released two singles, which are also featured on this album - 'Never Betray Us' and 'Fast-Forward Girl', accompanied by a clip directed by Diana Arbib and cinematography by Alessandro Rosa and featuring the dance performance 'Moto Perpetuo' by Anna Basti.

“Through our darkwave music and words, we search for the question, the ambiguity, the multiform influence of a variety of demons. We feel the urgency of questioning ourselves, our fellow human beings and the reality around us," says Giulia Bottaro.

This particular company specializes in close intimate lighting and special effects and were said to be experts at making wood look good on camera. In the end it didn't turn out quite the way we expected, but the statistic shows that the average viewer only watches the first 25 seconds of a video, so we think we are good."

CELESTE - Unveil New Music Video For 'De Tes Yeux Bleus Perlés'

On January 28th, French avant-garde black metallers CELESTE will unleash their new long-player "Assassine(s)", produced by Chris Edrich (GOJIRA, TESSERACT, THE OCEAN, LEPROUS).

With their unique mix of black metal, sludge and post-hardcore, and over 500 shows played since their inception in 2005, CELESTE has cemented their status as one of France's most important underground acts and now unveil a new single off their upcoming album soon to be released via their new label Nuclear Blast.

Through punishing palm mute riffing, CELESTE explores modern metal sonorities. Mixing raw brutality with a unique sense of melancholia, the French cross new boundaries on "De Tes Yeux Bleus Perlés".

The new offering will be released via Season of Mist in the summer of 2022!

Genre: Blackened Death Doom

When PARADISE LOST guitarist Greg Mackintosh put to rest his VALLENFYRE side project in 2018, he closed a difficult, but ultimately cathartic period in his life. Created as a tribute to his father John, who passed away in 2009, VALLENFYRE originally served as a sounding board for Greg’s grief, but then delved into his nihilistic take on the world. VALLENFYRE’s brief existence was intentional — the band always knew they could go no further than the three studio albums that bore their name.

A mere few days after VALLENFYRE played its last live show in September 2018, Mackintosh announced the formation of a brand-new band with VALLENFYRE bassist Chris Casket (Ex. Extreme Noise Terror), STRIGOI. The English twosome released their debut album Abandon All Faith on 22nd November 2019 which was met by widespread critical acclaim and support. From this success, the band began preproduction to take the project live, recruiting to the line-up drummer Guido Zima (Ex Implore / The Secret) and live guitarist Sam Kelly-Wallace (Ex VALLENFYRE) to begin spreading their foreboding gospel throughout the European festival circuit.

Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic that hit Spring 2020 STRIGOI were unable to perform live as planned, and realising this situation was going to be a long-term constraint Greg and Chris decided to begin writing for a second album. This 18-month process culminated in STRIGOI signing to Season Of Mist records, then heading to Orgone Studios UK to track 14 brand new songs under the watchful eye of award winning producer Jamie Gomez Arellano.

The bands line up, now set with the addition of guitarist Ben Ash (Satyricon / Ex. Carcass) completed the recording of the album 'Viscera' in October 2021, subsequently mixed by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege Studios. 'Viscera' represents the further evolution of STRIGOI as a band, a concept fully realised as a statement of terror, malaise, and ultimately a record representing what Greg and Chris wanted to achieve from the band’s inception.
