Watch the Official Video for “Good Life”

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have partnered with the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V., a charity organization that supports children with cancer in their hometown. Inconjunction with the release of “Good Life”, the band has created a campaign shirt (see below), which is now available for purchase HERE. 100% of the proceeds from the shirt and a portion of the proceeds received from downloads and streams of "Good Life" itself will be donated to to the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V. in Tübingen.

"The message of our song ‘Good Life' concerns ALL people, regardless of gender, age, size, weight, sexuality, origin or skin color. Therefore, it is important for us to continue the cooperation we started in 2020 with the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder e.V., an organization that supports children with cancer in our hometown. With that, all of the proceeds from the campaign shirt and a portion of the proceeds from the charity awareness song, which features three well-known artists, will go directly to the organization."

________________________________________________________

Founded in 2007, German heavy metal formation KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have made more than just a name for themselves in the scene: With six studio albums and various chart entries (#7 on the GER album charts with their full-length Ecstasy in 2018), the band established their trademark style - characterized by modern sound, massive anthems and catchy hooks paired with an 80s stadium rock attitude and eccentric look. Now, the five piece is ready to release their Napalm Records debut, Not The End Of The Road, and usher in heavy metal in 2022!

The new studio album was produced, recorded and mixed by vocalist Hannes Braun (Südland Music) himself, who has also worked with bands like Santiano, The Kelly Familyand Beyond The Black. Mastering was completed by Grammy Award winning producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, known for his work with bands like Volbeat and many more.

Ande Braun on the new album:

"Not The End Of The Road is an album that accurately describes our experiences as a band since Ecstasy in 2018. First and foremost, we highlight with songs like “Not The End Of The Road”, “What Goes Up”, “Yoko Ono” and “Only The Dead”: We're up for it, we're pulling together and we want to reach the rock Olympus! Titles like “Coming Home”, “Gone For Good” and “Scars”, on the other hand, deal with real feelings like loneliness, homesickness and sadness, which are also part of life."

Hannes Braun adds:

"With Ecstasy, we already didn't make any compromises and just wanted to compose music that speaks from us. Not The End Of The Road seamlessly picks up exactly here."

Pre-order your copy of Not The End Of The Road NOW!

With Not The End Of The Road, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE set another milestone in their successful discography: In guitar-driven power metal fashion, the tune of the intro and title track “Not The End Of The Road” prepares the listener for a thrilling road trip and new anthems straight from the heart of the KISSIN’ DYNAMITE universe. Crusher “What Goes Up” takes its listener into the truly spectacular soundscapes that make stadiums shake and convinces with Aerosmith-like guitar attacks and an anthemic hook. But KISSIN’ DYNAMITEare also not afraid to show their mellower side, as heard on delightfully tranquil tracks like “Good Life” and “Gone For Good” - not only showcasing the almost calm touches pervading the melodies, but also presenting the softer side of Braun’s vocal repertoire. While tracks like “No One Dies A Virgin” and “Yoko Ono” symbolize catchy party hymns, standouts “Coming Home” and “Defeat It” underline their origins of stadium rock without being pigeonholed. “Voodoo Spell” manifests the variety of the band and their different influences - starting with strong dark rock elements, the song becomes an opus that easily competes with the biggest stadium giants. The album’s closer, “Scars”, proves once again that KISSIN’ DYNAMITE can reach the depths and showcase lyrical vulnerability - an impressive ending that screams to be played live.

Not The End Of The Road will be available in the following formats:

-CD Digipack

-LP Gatefold Vinyl Black

-LP Gatefold Vinyl White

-LP Gatefold Vinyl Glow In The Dark

-LP Gatefold Vinyl Marbled Red/Black + Slipmat

-LP Gatefold Vinyl Crystal Clear

-Box

-MC

-Digital album

On Not The End Of The Road, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE continue the cooperation with the Förderverein für krebskranke Kinder Tübingen e.V., a charity organization that supports children with cancer in the rockers' hometown. The song “Good Life” picks up the topic perfectly. The complete proceeds of the title are to be donated to the association.

The album and the album title thus have a real meaning that touches people on several levels and has the right song ready for every personal life situation.

ACCEPT | Announce New Digital Single "The Undertaker - Live" and Exclusive Silver Vinyl Of "Too Mean To Die" + Postpone Their E

ACCEPT was getting ready to rock Europe together with their many loyal fans starting January 15, 2022. But now the virus-related circumstances still do not allow it. Against all expectations and hopes the Metal Teutons have to postpone their planned "Too Mean To Die" Tour to January/February 2023.

"As much as we want to, the current Covid situation just doesn’t allow us to go forward with this 2022 tour“, explained ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. "It’s a super tough call, but we have no choice but to postpone once again. We wanted to play this tour badly. We had a killer setlist prepared with lots of new songs from the 'Too Mean to Die' album. I'm very sorry for the fans and of course, everybody in the band is very disappointed. But hey, life goes on… Please stay safe, stay Metal, and stay 'too mean to die'! We’ll see you soonest!"

Promoter Gerald Wilkes of Continental Concerts added: "The ACCEPT tour was planned through a total of 16 countries with very different regional infection situations, which are currently changing very quickly and therefore are incalculable for all involved. The legal requirements vary from country to country - even often from city to city. It all looked so promising a few months ago, but the situation right now simply doesn't allow it!"

As a (small) consolation, ACCEPT is serving their fans the digital live single "The Undertaker" today, November 5th via Nuclear Blast! Get the single digitally, here: https://accept.bfan.link/the-undertaker-live

In addition, ACCEPT and Nuclear Blast announces that another limited version (750 copies worldwide) of the hit album "Too Mean To Die" will be released on silver vinyl (2 LP) on February 18, 2022, which can also be pre-ordered now, HERE.

The good news at the end: ACCEPT has secured the venues for 2023. And can therefore announce the new dates right here and right now! Gerald Wilkes adds: "The tour is confirmed for 2023 and tickets remain valid."

New 2023 ACCEPT tour dates will be released very soon!

Collaborator On The Group’s Best-Selling Early Releases

Band Shares New Track & Lyric Video For “I Am Nothing,”

With Limited Edition Physical Copies Of Single For Purchase

Fans Encouraged To Sign Up For E-mail Reminders

It’s been 20 years since the last full-length Stabbing Westward album came out in 2001, and the wait is finally over as the band today announces details for their much-anticipated new record. Chasing Ghosts will be out March 18, 2022 via COP International Records, featuring 10 tracks that have the industrial rock band’s characteristic sound with a modern sheen that picks up right where they left off.

In celebration of the news, Stabbing Westward gives a taste of the upcoming material by sharing single “I Am Nothing” alongside a new lyric video.

A number of limited-edition physical copies for “I Am Nothing” are available for sale here: https://stabbingwestward.bandcamp.com/album/i-am-nothing

Chasing Ghosts will feature brand-new songs as well as re-workings of the band’s acclaimed 2020 reunion EP Dead And Gone that finds original founding members Christopher Hall (vocals/guitar) and Walter Flakus (keyboards/programming) honing in on the incredible partnership that once produced a string of hits that dominated alternative radio and film soundtracks, including “Shame,” “Save Yourself” and “What Do I Have to Do?” – and resulted in two Gold records.

To recreate that original chemistry, the band recruited the legendary producer John Fryer to again helm Chasing Ghosts. Fryer, whose production credits include Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, 4AD, Cocteau Twins and Love and Rockets, originally worked with Stabbing Westward on their best-selling early releases Ungod (1994) and Wither Blister Burn + Peel (1996). Chasing Ghosts was also mastered by Tom Baker who, like Fryer, worked with Stabbing Westward on their early releases and is part of the reassembled production team on the latest album. The current Stabbing Westward band lineup includes Carlton Bost (guitars and programming) and Bobby Amaro (drums).

Says Walter Flakus, “It seems like we’ve been working on this album for a long time, trying to get it just right. With the help of John Fryer and COP International, everything fell into place. We are so excited for the world to finally hear the album. The single ‘I Am Nothing’ is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Adds Christopher Hall: “It's great to be back, and working with John Fryer and Tom Baker again was awesome and felt like making a pure old-school Stabbing Westward album. I am excited to see how people will receive the new songs."

Presales for Chasing Ghosts will begin in early January and fans are encouraged to sign up now for e-mail reminders HERE.

The album, featuring artwork by David Seidman (an artist who has also worked with Coheed And Cambria and is known for his ethereal and surrealistic imagery) will be available in digital, CD and vinyl formats, with full details and exclusive, limited-edition merch to be announced soon.

In addition to recently being covered in Loudwire, Consequence Of Sound, Revolver, SPIN, Bloody Disgusting and other top media outlets, Stabbing Westward has been receiving rave reviews for their latest material:

The Dead and Gone EP ultimately proves how memorable Stabbing Westward’s industrial rock can be, and it serves as a teaser for a looming full-length album that many are anticipating… they sound just as passionate and exciting as ever.” —Blabbermouth

For both casual listeners and ardent fans of the group, the fire is raging inside Stabbing Westward as the collective enjoys this new chapter in its history.

—MXDWN

About Stabbing Westward

Blending the scathing electronics of underground industrial/rock with the emotive melodies of goth and a decidedly radio-friendly sensibility, Stabbing Westward rose to great heights in the mid-‘90s alternative boom. Formed in 1986 by Walter Flakus and Christopher Hall, the band went from underground cult sensation to the heights of critical and commercial success thanks to such songs as “Shame,” “Save Yourself,” “So Far Away” and “What Do I Have to Do?”. To this day, these songs remain anthems of heartache, dejection, rage, betrayal and depression. With two Gold albums and numerous hit singles, Stabbing Westward fell from grace with the 2001 self-titled album amid personal and professional turmoil, disbanding the following year and leaving a void in modern music that was somewhat filled by Hall’s later work in The Dreaming. However, it was the release of that band’s Rise Again in 2015 that the seeds were sown for a reunion. That album saw Flakus once again making music with Hall, with Stabbing Westward guitarist Mark Eliopulos joining The Dreaming onstage in Chicago for a set of past hits. In 2019, Hall and Flakus came together again to release the Dead And Gone EP, the first new Stabbing Westward material in 18 years. Written and produced by Flakus and Hall over the course of three years, and recorded in multiple states and time zones, these new songs capture the very essence of the Stabbing Westward sound. Adding longtime bandmate Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy, The Dreaming) and new drummer Bobby Amaro (Orgy) to the official lineup, the band has also once again recruited the talent of producer John Fryer—instrumental on early albums “Ungod” and “Wither Blister Burn + Peel”—for a new album, Chasing Ghosts to be released in early 2022 through a new partnership with COP International.

GLASSING Release New Studio Album 'Twin Dream' - WATCH: Music Video for "Spire"

Texas post-everything outfit GLASSING have released their third full-length studio album, 'Twin Dream', today via Brutal Panda Records. The new record was produced by Andrew Hernandez (This Will Destroy You, Balmorhea, The Sword) and features the singles "Burden" and "Absolute Virtue". To celebrate the release of 'Twin Dream', GLASSING have dropped a music video for their new single, "Spire". The new video was directed by Drake Howard and edited by Alex Penrose. Watch the video at the link below.

"Hardly is music ever as emotive and mind-melting as 'Twin Dream'" - Invisible Oranges

"Sky-scraping post-metal with doomy girth, black metal ferocity, and post-hardcore bite." - Revolver

"Shrieking, blasting, immersive, cataclysmic nightmare fuel." - Decibel

"Glassing offer quite the maelstrom of metal....a true adventure" - Metal Sucks

“Standing confidently between pillars of grace and brutality, the Austin trio's third album seethes, rages, and sobs, riding waves of sonic fury that crash onto serene (but blackened) shores.” - Austin Chronicle

Twin Dream is a sonic mirror pointed at our modern era, and the results are nothing short of immense; ranging from grim and destructive to hopeful and cathartic, oftentimes all within a single song. Throughout their third LP, GLASSING channels multifarious energies that delve deep into the Underland while simultaneously exploring the celestial.

Elements of post-hardcore, black metal, noise rock, ambient, shoegaze, and doom swirl together to create a rich palette of mood and textures across 11 tracks that ruminate on splintered realities, altered consciousness, and esoteric philosophy. While the world burned on the outside, the music took on an entirely new meaning and those that survived the nightmare were left with a newfound sense of hope amongst the bleak reality. Twin Dream is the archetypal soundtrack to these end of times.

STREAM/BUY 'Twin Dream' HERE

GLASSING is also thrilled to share that the band will play a special album release show on Sunday, November 13th at Hotel Vegas in Austin, TX. Tickets are available at:

Glassing Tour Dates:

November 13th - Austin, TX @ Hotel Vegas (Record Release Show)

About GLASSING:

ATX based Glassing is a three-piece, genre-blending amalgamation of heavy music saturated sonorously in dejection. Notable elements of Post Rock, Shoegaze, Doom, and American Black Metal, Glassing have been making music that walks the line between all 4 genres seemingly all at once. Fronted by Cory Brim on guitars, Dustin Coffman on bass and vocals, and Jason Camacho on drums, each individual has a mastery of control over each genre, brandishing an outward love and appreciation for all of them simultaneously. This type of coalescence has prompted an estrangement towards traditional fans of metal excluding them from the genre for some almost entirely. Flaunting an unapologetic stance towards moving their style forward in any way they can, Glassing simply creates what they wish to hear for themselves. Using each division as a medium of creativity with no restrictions to genre traditionalism or gatekeeping. Since their conception in 2015 they have come out with one self-titled EP, the two LPs "Light And Death" and "Spotted Horse" and are anticipating the release of their third full-length record aptly named "Twin Dream". Since the recording of “Twin Dream”, the band has brought synth and midi noise master Shaun Ringsmuth of Street Sects on board for live show performances and future compositions.

Glassing Is:

Cory Brim - Guitars

Dustin Coffman - Bass / Vocals

Jason Camacho - Drums

Shaun Ringsmuth - Synths / Noise

VK Lynne with Ty Christian, Timo Somers, and Dan Hegarty Release New Single "It Hurts" + Official Music Video

"It Hurts" can be bought/streamed HERE

"It Hurts" (COVER) - VK Lynne, Ty Christian, Timo Somers, and Dan Hegarty:

VK Lynne along with Ty Christian, Timo Somers, and Dan Hegarty have released a new single "It Hurts" via DI Records.

What started out as an international and long-distance pandemic project turned into a hybrid in-person, real life collaboration when Ty Christian, founder of Mad With Power Fest and lead singer of Lords of the Trident, flew to Los Angeles to shoot the music video for "It Hurts", a duet with singer-songwriter VK Lynne of The Spider Accomplice.

The idea to put a symphonic metal spin on the alternative blues song came to VK as the lockdown dragged on. Some folks may remember her Vita Nova project in 2013, which saw her gather up 13 artists from 6 different countries to create an original album of gothic metal songs, all recorded virtually. She explains:

“Back then, I wanted to make the point that artists are only limited by their imagination; with Vita Nova, I was able to ‘sing with’ people that, up until then, I’d never met in real life. For this song, I wanted to make a statement about genre. ‘It Hurts’ was originally recorded by the great Beth Hart, a blues icon, and Dutch singer-songwriter, Born. Beth has been a big influence on me as a musician and my songs are always just a little blues and a little metal. This has been an issue for my band, The Spider Accomplice, because many times, the industry doesn’t really 'know where to put us,' because 'what is this genre?' That’s a frustrating question, which I’ve always felt, frankly, is bullshit.”

This new version sets out to prove just that. Lynne enlisted guitar heavyweight Timo Somers (ex-Delain) and drummer Dan Hegarty (Conflict One Zero) to give the music that metal punch.

“Timo knew exactly what I was trying to do right away. I sent him the original song and two days later he sent back his interpretation, which became the framework for the whole piece.”

But she also knew that the male voice had to be a powerhouse and she found that in Ty Christian, an operatic tenor who is no stranger to cross-genre music himself. Christian is also the lead singer of the power metal band, Lords of the Trident.

Colin McGeoch of Matte Black Audio took on the daunting task of mixing and mastering the files that came rolling into his mailbox from various parts of the world. Lynne was more than elated with the results.

“I played the song for my husband, a filmmaker, who said, 'OK, we cannot do a half-assed video for this. We have to get this crew in the same room.'” However, restrictions were still in place due to COVID, so bringing Somers from the Netherlands was impossible, but Lynne remained undeterred.

“I said to him, ‘Can’t we Tupac him in somehow?’" He frowned, then said, “Yeah, I think we can.”

In July of 2021, Christian boarded a plane from Madison, Wisconsin, to Los Angeles and met Lynne and Hegarty to create a video that captured all the intensity they’d put into the audio recording itself.

Director Nesto Rhea and his crew filmed everything while also keeping in mind where Timo would be inserted later in editing.

“There will always be challenges and the way we make music will continue to evolve, but if we evolve with it, creativity will find a way to flourish. These kinds of projects keep us sharp and allow us to do what we love, despite the miles and the naysayers."

It's the fourth single taken from the band's new album, 'Infernum In Terra', released on September 24th, 2021 via Long Branch Records / SPV.

Sal Abruscato about the new single:

“This song is up there for one of my favorites, I ended up doing something very different by having the piano dominate this song and keeping it very open feeling with little guitar. It's about the inner turmoils I go through, the self destructive nihilistic behavior I can possess at times, my inner battles with self esteem, getting older and trying to fight my inner demons since childhood. For me it is a very beautiful song and I love it!"

'Infernum In Terra' is the fourth studio album from A Pale Horse Named Death, and was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Faith No More, Meat Loaf, Yes, Sepultura, Rob Halford, etc.) at Maor Appelbaum Mastering, while the artwork was done by Kelvin Doran of Serpent Tusk Studios.

"The album to me represents a new beginning, turning a new leaf shall we say with the same vibe from past albums but with a fresh open minded approach," says band leader Sal Abruscato. He adds: "There is no real concrete specific concept, it touches on some personal topics in my life long, my interest in the dark arts, that to have light you must have darkness to balance everything. With daylight comes nightfall, with heaven there is hell and at this moment the world seems to be in a very dark place hence the title of the album ‘Infernum In Terra’. This is a very dark album, but what else is new I always write dark music to sooth a dark soul!"

Kingdom Collapse Announced as Latest Addition to Welcome To Rockville 2021

Coming off the band’s success with their recent hit single, “Unbreakable” as #1 on Sirius XM Octane’s Big Uns CountdownKingdom Collapse has been added to this year’s Welcome To Rockville lineup, hosted by Danny Wimmer Presents in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This year’s Welcome To Rockville will feature performances by Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Slipknot, Disturbed, Staind, Mudvayne, A Day To Remember, as well as many others.

Kingdom Collapse’s upward trajectory continues to break the industry norm as an independent band. “Unbreakable” recently became the group’s second consecutive Top 40 radio single, racking up over 3,000,000 Spotify streams and 500,000 YouTube views in less than 5 months.

The second leg of their “Unbreakable” Tour kicks off Saturday, November 6th in San Antonio, TX and includes direct support from Spinefarm Records’ VRSTY, as well as Silent Trust.

You can catch Kingdom Collapse at Welcome To Rockville 2021 on Saturday, November 13th at 3:25pm on the Rockvillian Stage.

Relevance. It is one of the most innate human desires; to know that we are not alone and that others go through the same struggles. This is why the Texas-based band, Kingdom Collapse, is carving out their spot in the rock world. They seek to give a voice to people who share similar troubles and crave relevancy in an apathetic world.

The world responded to a relevant theme of betrayal when their first single, “Suffer,”amassed over 7,000,000 YouTube views and 1,100,000 Spotify streamsorganically. The group’s 2020 hit radio single, “Uprise,” broke into the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40 as well as the Mediabase Active Rock charts for 9 weeks straight. “Uprise” went on to become Sirius XM Octane’s #1 Most Played song for two consecutive weeks and has since accumulated over 3,000,000 Spotify streams, tipping the band’s total stream count over 6.5 million.

The group features Jonathan Norris on vocals, David Work on guitar, Aaron Smith on bass and Elijah Santucci on drums. Together, with a mutual vision, they are bringing their shared experiences to the masses and looking to help as many people as they can with a feeling of solidarity.

The band’s 2021 follow-up radio single, “Unbreakable,” is an anthem that is emotionally honest and relevant to today's times. Written and produced by lead singer, Jonathan Norris and mixed/mastered by Chris Mora of War Horse Recordings, it sends a positive message to listeners by teaching that even life’s hardest moments can be a benefit. Norris writes, “‘Unbreakable’ comes from a lyrical standpoint of looking back at various struggles that life has thrown at you and coming to realize that those struggles ultimately made you stronger. We’ve all been there, and it’s about finding the silver lining in the midst of dark times.”

In early 2021, Kingdom Collapse signed with one of the leading booking agencies in the industry, Dynamic Talent International, and has since been touring the U.S. alongside many of rock’s heavy hitters.

Atlanta's I Am a Rocketship presents 'What's This For' from new 'Lies and Legends' album

"Delightful and melodic, their catchy offerings are dreamy yet grounded, loaded but not overinflated. Sonic symmetry" Amplify Music Mag

"Superb in every respect... may actually be their greatest"Big Takeover Magazine

"Bedroom Pop with an edge" ~ The Hype Magazine

"Everything you expect and more... too smart to be pop, too subtle to truly be classed as rock" ~ Dancing About Architecture

"A unique combination of slow harmony and sonic dissonance... pleasing to the ears and compelling to the heart... Brilliant" Jammerzine

American-Swedish indie pop outfit I Am a Rocketship present 'What's This For' from their new album 'Lies and Legends', following up the very well received lead track 'Fever Dream'.

Based in Atlanta, I Am a Rocketship is a duo comprising Eric Weissinger and L E Kippner, who mix smooth impressionistic lyrics and rock guitar with a dash of Dirty South beats and psychedelic bombast.

Both raised on folk and classical music, the two later discovered bands such as Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Massive Attack and Sigur Ros. Suckers for a pop hook, I Am a Rocketship is a self-contained duo, who write, record and create art and videos without the involvement of other contributors.

The new 'Lies and Legends' album is their most ambitious collection to date. These ten songs are about the appeal, in trying times, of lies and legends over reason and love. They give people hope, a feeling of belonging, and frequently, a license to do terrible things in the name of their belief.

"When facts are scary, people turn to belief. I guess these are songs about faith, how it can be comforting, but blinding," says guitarist and programmer Eric Weissinger.

All the music on the 'Lies and Legends' album was recorded on a notebook computer during early 2021 - a very productive year for the band given the amount of time spent under lockdown, with late 2020 also bringing their 'oRAnGE' EP, a release laced with frustration, sadness and rage over the rise of authoritarianism and accelerating environmental collapse.

Earlier, I Am a Rocketship released their 'Ghost Stories' LP (April 2020), 'Mind Grafitti' (2019) and debut offering 'Mission Control' (2016).

Eric Weissinger used to back up various artists, opening for bands such as The Wedding Present, The Black Crowes, James, Cracker and Portastatic. But everything changed upon meeting L E Kippner - cellist, scientist, radio DJ and singer for Swedish synth-pop duo Neobox. At first forming Hitchcock Blondes in Ohio, they relocated to Atlanta to make a fresh start as I Am a Rocketship.

As of November 5, 'What's This For' will be available on Bandcamp, where the full 'Lies and Legends' album can be ordered directly from the artist. Set for release on November 11, the album will also be available across digital platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

Robin Guthrie to release new 'Pearldiving' album On November 12. Preview 'Les Amourettes'

Following the October release of his 'Mockingbird Love' EP comes the much-anticipated ‘next’ full-length album from legendary Scottish music-sculptor Robin Guthrie, titled 'Pearldiving'. On this journey of 10 new tracks, Guthrie returns to his signature instrumental genre, evoking an atmosphere and sound so instantly recognizable, and yet so very personal. From the slow-burning opening notes of ‘Ivy’ to the last swelling distortion of ‘The Amber Room’, 'Pearldiving' is an album of delicacies, delights, darkness and light.

'Pearldiving' will be released on CD, as well as digitally, on November 12th via Soleil Après Minuit with distribution in North America via Darla and Europe covered by Cargo. Ahead of this, 'Les Amourettes' can be previewed via Bandcamp.

Robin Guthrie’s music has always been an intensely personal and unique expression. His gift for the translation and evocation of emotions and experiences lends his music an appeal that transcends their origins in his own life, but also speaks to all of us on our own journeys.

'Pearldiving' typifies the lush, layered guitar arrangements that are Robin Guthrie’s trademark, whilst also displaying a level of refinement that can only be found in the work of an artist at the top of his craft.

Guthrie’s approach to his music is perhaps more akin to that of a painter or a photographer. The adept use of light and shade, melody and counter melody, the carefully and precisely arranged instrumentation, musical textures and colorings gives his music a depth and level of detail that are the hallmarks of a master craftsman. It’s often said that the signature of a highly accomplished artist is the ability to make the complex and otherworldly seem natural and effortless. This could not be truer of 'Pearldiving', undeniably Guthrie’s most refined instrumental release to date.

“After 'Another Flower', released just a few days before the untimely passing of my friend and co-conspirator Harold Budd, I felt the need to break my studio down and build it up again afresh to clear my head," says Robin Guthrie.

"The dawn of many of my previous releases was travel. I loved being somewhere new to work but, for a while now, the pandemic hasn’t permitted that. So earlier this year I "stayed at home" and created 'Pearldiving'. This is my first instrumental album since 'Fortune' and I guess I had some feelings to process."

40 years on from founding Cocteau Twins, Robin Guthrie has certainly been its most prolific member, offering a steady and stellar stream of material over the years. His film scores include Gregg Araki's ‘Mysterious Skin’ and ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’, co-written with longtime collaborator Harold Budd. His many other collaborators include John Foxx, Mark Gardener, Telefon Tel-Aviv, Eraldo Bernocchi and Jay Jay Johanson.

His unique, innovative, and influential approach to guitar and composition—layering sound upon sound and melody upon melody in an approach that is often deceptively minimalist—along with his deft production skills in the recording studio, has earned him the respect of musicians and fans throughout the world, making him a much sought-after artist, producer, engineer, and collaborator. Guthrie’s more recent credits as a producer and remixer include Heligoland, Resplandor, Ummagma, Fawns of Love, Hatchie, Jack Colwell and Tamaryn.

As of November 12th, 'Pearldiving' will be released on CD and available digitally on all major platforms via Soleil Après Minuit, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where it can be ordered directly from the artist himself.

Alt-Metal/Hard Rock band Bullet to the Heart released their new single "Decay" to all major platforms today! The single is off of their forthcoming album Transcendence due out November 19, 2021.

"Decay talks about wanting to be with someone on a deeper level but finding it difficult to truly open up. With both sides not willing to commit there is a final push in the chorus to show that, no matter who you are in the world, everyone is facing something deep within themselves. We are all the same. We are all connected as one" says Audrey Queen.

She adds, "Transcendence is the epitome of wanting more for ones self but falling short. There will always be something trying to hold you back. With perseverance, time, and the support of others, nothing can stop you. From the first song to the last there is a voice pushing you forward, making sure you achieve the greatest version of yourself. Even though darkness lurks around the corner, the smallest of lights can create the brightest stars."

Buy 'The Humming Mountain' now HERE.

Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannprisen)-winning metal outfit Gaahls WYRD return with new mini-album The Humming Mountain. Spanning five thought-provoking songs over 30-plus minutes, the mini-album continues from but challenges the tenets of the group’s lauded debut full-length, GastiR - Ghosts Invited. Conceptually, The Humming Mountain intrinsically ties into the pre-history of its forebear, where heady, fastidious topics of origin, creation, and consciousness are pondered, explored, and conveyed to a riveting score of reflective, if sometimes vicious metal. The Humming Mountain resides between spaces but is wholly its own artistic entity.

“I like the concept of a mini-album instead of an EP,” says Gaahl (aka Kristian Espedal). “I like the format of a mini-album. Back in the day, bands like Hellhammer and Celtic Frost used this format. The audience gets more from this format. To me, it’s more serious than if it’s just a few tracks. Plus, the concept of The Humming Mountain isn't big enough for a full-length album. The concept was something I had to get out of my head."

Three of The Humming Mountain’s tracks were originally slated to appear on GastiR - Ghosts Invited but were eventually shelved when Gaahl determined that they weren't a conceptual fit with the rest of the album’s tracks. Indeed, not one to let good ideas die on the proverbial vine, Gaahl worked with guitarist Lust Kilman (Ole Walaunet) and producer Iver Sandøy to refashion them. Through creative process and artful invention, “Awakening Remains - Before Leaving,” “The Dwell,” and the title track were born again for The Humming Mountain. The mini-album’s introspective bookends—opening epic “The Seed” and filmic closer “The Sleep”—came during and after, one song to remind listeners that patience is a virtue and the other to send them off into dream-like cogitation.

“The title track ‘The Humming Mountain’ dictated how the mini-album would go forward,” Gaahl says. “‘The Humming Mountain,’ however, has connections to GastiR - Ghosts Invited recording-wise, but it’s been reshaped. ‘The Dwell’ and ‘Awakening Remains - Before Leaving’ are more from the same foundation. We did change how we approached these songs by adding keyboards and removing bass grooves, especially on ‘Awakening Remains - Before Leaving.’ We got a different flow and pace to the final versions of the songs.”

While The Humming Mountain is a real place called Gnolloden near the Svalbard archipelago, it has no relation to the mini-album's title or contents. Lyrically, The Humming Mountain is about patience. Not in the human sense of the word—though that certainly can be applied to nine-minute opener “The Seed”—but in the universal sense. The vibrations (hums) of creation ebb and flow sub-glacially. The intent of creation spans eons. Even the mini-album’s artwork—captured and designed by Gaahl—is part of the overall theme. The closer to The Humming Mountain, the farther away it appears.

“I’m always searching,” says Gaahl. “I’m trying to find the core of self, the core of everything. GastiR - Ghosts Invited dealt with being conscious about the subconscious. The Humming Mountain is more direct in dealing with that topic. Creation is something that happens very slowly, I believe. I connected it to ice, in a way. It's a Norse concept, where a witch 'hummer' is feeding on salty ice. Out of this comes the first conscious. In Norse creationism, creation originates with sound. Of course, fire and ice are the two opponents, but every being, which are manifestations of something, are connected to humming or noise, the vibrations created by it. That's how I arrived at The Humming Mountain, a slow vibration from the mountain and the slow movement of ice.”

Gaahls WYRD revisited Sandøy’s Solslottet Studio (Wardruna, Crippled Black Phoenix) periodically from August 2020 through May 2021 to track and complete The Humming Mountain. The sessions were set apart for various reasons (schedules mostly), but the team first focused the groundwork on sound design. Gaahl, Lust Kilman, and Sandøy then pivoted to Spektre’s (aka Kevin Kvåle) drums. From there, vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, and piano were laid down. Sandøy also helmed the mix and master.

"The first thing we did was to work through the songs," Gaahl says. "This was to find the foundation of the sound and how we could reshape the sound. We focused on the sound (or voice) of the drums. We didn't want them to be too close to the drum sound on GastiR - Ghosts Invited. I’ve worked on three albums with Iver this year. It's very easy to work with him. He's good at bringing himself into my philosophical mindset. He's tuned into why I choose to do this or that. Usually, before we start, I explain my direction so that he can understand it, and together we can expand upon that direction. On this EP, he's done a lot of the keys and piano parts. He's contributed quite a lot."

Though The Humming Mountain reveals a more contemplative side to Gaahls WYRD, fans of stunners “Ek Erilar,” Carving the Voices,” and “Through and Past and Past” will find new tracks “The Dwell,” “Awakening Remains - Before Leaving,” and the title track equally engaging, while “The Seed” and “The Sleep” are destined to open new doors with their mercurial angst and picturesque, if involuted themes. Indeed, The Humming Mountain sets the stage for Gaahls WYRD’s next chapter.

"We'll release the mini-album next," says Gaahl. "After that, it all depends on how things open up for us to tour. There will be shows in Europe for sure, though. In a way, I hope the pandemic situation may continue for a bit longer. It's a good time for studio work. So, I hope not to be too disturbed by touring to continue to do more studio work. We're about to enter the studio for the next full-length."

Post-Rock Quintet THERE’S A LIGHT to Release New Album “f̶o̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶I ̶h̶o̶pe̶? for what must we hope?”, on December 10, 2021

German Post-Rock Quintet THERE’S A LIGHT Announce Impassioned New Studio Album, f̶o̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶I ̶h̶o̶pe̶? for what must we hope?

Out December 10, 2021 via Napalm Records

Pre-Order Starts NOW!

Just recently, German post-rock/experimental quintet THERE'S A LIGHT inked a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records. Now, the promising discovery announces its second album f̶o̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶I ̶h̶o̶pe̶? for what must we hope? for release on December 10, 2021. With their symbiosis of ambient post-rock, THERE'S A LIGHT create an atmospheric, multi-layered soundscape, setting a trance-like state of mind. Some of the eleven stirring songs are underlined by soulful, carefully placed vocals and everything earthly seems to fade away when the hauntingly beautiful sounds envelops the listener in all-consuming atmosphere.

Today, the Black Forest post-rockers offer a first glimpse of their upcoming second full-length by unveiling the passionate first single, "Elpis", alongside a breathtaking music video. “Elpis”invites the listener on a journey into a dreamy experience that comes close to an out-of-body experience. The sporadic presence of Andreas Richau's gentle voice seems to become one with the spherical cascades of sound and resembles a falling raindrop hitting the ocean, there to blur into infinity.

THERE’S A LIGHT on “Elpis”:

“We’re excited! Not only because this is our first single of the new album but because this is our first music video ever!

This song is about Elpis, the personification and spirit of hope in ancient Greece. We put it into another context and wrote a new story. Hope can lead you to false ends, but they were probably there from the start - you just couldn’t see them. To overcome these obstacles is the message of the song, which usually only works if there is hope left."

Watch the new music video for “Elpis

Thematically, on f̶o̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶I ̶h̶o̶pe̶? for what must we hope? THERE’S A LIGHT take a deeper look at the question of the true meaning of hope as well as at the different facets of it: On the one hand, hope can be something positive - a flourishing force that always gives a new impulse to grow beyond oneself. On the other hand, it can also do harm, for example, if one holds on to something that will never become reality.

The radiant album opener "...The Storm Will Set The Sails" immediately enchants with its shimmering melody and great arrangements, while the following "Within The Tides" presents a more dramatic, progressive touch with impressive technique and rhythm. The driving "Like The Earth Orbits Sun" is one of the tracks that features bassist Andreas Richau's captivating, emotional vocals, along with the multi-faceted exclamation point "Elpis" and spherical "Be Brave, Fragile Heart". "Dark Clouds Behind, Bright Skies Ahead" and "Appearance Of Earth" open up another spectrum of sound and expand the cosmos with the passionate cello playing of guest musician Akito Goto. The grand finale "Even In The Darkest Place..." weaves powerful instrumentation with dreamy moments into a harmonious overall construct, once again underscoring a hypnotic post-rock experience in the style of bands like God Is An Astronaut, Russian Circles and Sigur Ros.

THERE’S A LIGHT on the new album:

"So, we asked ourselves what hope stands for and what it means to us. We had a lot of conversations within the band about the good but also the bad aspects of hope and our experiences with it.

And we got answers and inspiration by history and philosophy. Like Kant who has extremely positive views on this topic - hope is necessity for human existence, it’s not seen by him as a personal but collective thing. This is where the album title came from.

The whole process of creating this album really took us on a journey and we found new ways to express our thoughts and feelings with our music. We took a few trips to France and wrote songs together in a cabin, but we also had to write a lot of parts simultaneously, since we are not living in one city any more. We had the chance to work together with new lovely people but we also reconnected with old partners in crime.

All in all it wasn’t an easy journey, but now we made it and are happy and proud to finally release this album with Napalm Records!"
