Peter Tägtgren comments, "'Dead World' is a song that Sebastian wrote for our father/son project that never saw the light of day. When he started playing the song, I felt that the world needs to hear this crushing song asap as the groove and tempo blew my mind. The video idea came from our director Andrey Kezzyn and it's similar to my point of view of what’s about to come of the world. Maybe not literally, but who knows. Enjoy!"

SET THE SUN Release Cathartic Music Video for "New Condition" (feat. Michael Lessard of The Contortionist)

American-Canadian Alt-Metal outfit SET THE SUN have released the second single from their soon-to-be-announced debut EP. The track, titled "New Condition" features guest vocals from Michael Lessard of The Contortionist, and explores familiar territory to the ideas expressed in the band's first single, "Invisible".

Speaking about Lessard's contributions to "New Condition", the band says: "We have always admired Michael's voice and unique style, and we felt that he would be a perfect complement to the song. He added the perfect emotion to the song, and we're thrilled to have him on it."

The creative duo at the heart of Set The Sun, known only as Arc & Eris, wrote and recorded the upcoming record during last year's COVID-19 lockdown, which would inspire them to delve into subjects ranging from isolation, division amongst communities, misinformation, and unspoken conflict. On "New Condition", the band seeks to confront the uncomfortable truths of how much pain and confusion can be inflicted through the constant distortion we often subject ourselves to through our own technology.

Expressing the onus behind "New Condition", Set The Sun comments, “All of us are surrounded by information and disinformation at all times. It can be overwhelming and maddening, and we wanted this video to embody what that feels like”

On "New Condition", Set The Sun once again welcomes Thomas Freckleton of Silent Planet into The Collective, with Freckleton playing bass on the track. The band is also grateful to have collaborated with Clint Lowery of Sevendust, who co-wrote "New Condition with Arc & Eris.

Moral Hygiene is Ministry’s 15th studio album and features some of the project’s strongest and most inspired material to date. It features the creative masterwork of founder and creator Al Jourgensen who spent the pandemic pause in 2020 ruminating on the new world we as a society have found ourselves in – while pondering just what we are going to do about it.

The 10 tracks are a follow-up to 2018’s lauded AmeriKKKant and put forth Jourgensen’s societal manifesto and plea for civilization to get back to a set of standards that lives up to and embraces our humanity.

Previous singles have included "Alert Level" (sounding the alarm on the state society is in), "Good Trouble" (a rallying cry to fight for human rights in homage to Civil Rights leader John Lewis) and "Search And Destroy" (the unique take on The Stooges classic), the latter of which features guitar virtuoso Billy Morrison (Billy Idol/Royal Machines). Morrison is also heavily featured on a number of songs on the album. The record also includes a collaboration with Jello Biafra (Jourgensen’s cohort in side project LARD) on “Sabotage Is Sex.”

Moral Hygiene was recorded with engineer Michael Rozon (also behind the boards on AmeriKKKant) at Scheisse Dog Studio, Jourgensen’s self-built home studio and creative lab. As with all Ministry albums, all songs are written and performed by Al Jourgensen. ABOUT MINISTRY

Born in 1981 in Chicago, Ministry has been the lifetime passion project of founder Al Jourgensen, considered to be the pioneer of industrial music. In its early days, Ministry was identifiable by its heavy synth-pop material in line with the new sounds and technology that were being developed in the ‘80s. Ministry’s output began with four 12” singles on Wax Trax! Records in 1981 before the first LP With Sympathy in 1983 via Arista Records. As time progressed however, so did Ministry, quickly developing a harsher, and more stylized sound that the band soon became infamous for on seminal albums Twitch (1986), The Land of Rape and Honey (1988), and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste (1989). With the release of Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and The Way to Suck Eggs (1992), Ministry hit an all-time high in the mainstream musical realm and received its first Grammy nomination. In total, Ministry has been nominated for a Grammy award six times. Eight more albums would follow before an indefinite break in 2013, only to be unearthed again in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, continuing to reflect Jourgensen’s views on the frightening state of society and politics. Rising Insane is not just the name but also what happened literally to these five guys from northern Germany over the last few years. After their self-released debut album, 'Nation' in 2017, the band gained attention quickly in the German metal scene on shows with Stray From The Path and For Today, as well as a support slot for Annisokay on their 2018 headline run.

In 2019 they played at the Impericon Festival and got signed by Long Branch Records. ENSLAVED RELEASE VIDEO FOR TRACK "RUUN II - THE EPITAPH"

Enslaved's new EP "Caravans To The Outer Worlds" has today been released unto the universe, alongside a beautiful video for the track "Ruun II - The Epitaph." Viewers should note that the video is part two - a second part to the video which accompanied the EP title track.

A new cycle is underway, and Enslaved find themselves on a bridge between the archaic and the unmapped. "Caravans To The Outer Worlds" EP is a tale of departure, of leaving behind a barren and desolate world, travelling boldly into the future. There are outer worlds to go to and new havens to rebuild in, to invoke a new dawn and to defend the new world for those of Sense and Earth.

"This EP is an expression of the vital state Enslaved is in – the idea to create a transitory release between Utgard and what is to come next logically led to the idea of an EP. Iver’s idea of adding short intermezzos between the two main songs gave this release even more energy and depth. This EP is one that points backwards towards our early works as well as forward to a yet unknown place we seem to be heading for."

There is a desert which is very old, very dry, and very dangerous. Few have ever dared to cross it, and fewer have returned. Some say that it is a desert between places, others say that it is a desert between worlds. Those who have crossed it and returned swear that the desert is another world in itself - an astral bridge, which swallows all but the most well-prepared travelers.

Enslaved are such seasoned voyagers. In their last venture, they descended into Utgard, deep in the dark beneath their native Norway. Now, they are setting off again, not down this time, but out. They intend to cross the desert, into it and perhaps beyond it.

Caravans To The Outer Worlds EP contains neck breaking riffage that points backwards to the raw beginnings of Enslaved - the title track marking an explosive lift-off with melodic breakaways and proggy slingshots onto new orbits, while the ominous Ruun II: The Epitaph takes a sombre dive into the murky and mysterious ocean of stars beyond the known. These two main pieces are framed by two intermezzos: Intermezzo I: Lönnlig. Gudlig. and Intermezzo II: The Navigator; wrapping up the main stories with respectively what came before and what is to come…

MØL UNLEASH MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "VESTIGE"

On November 5th, MØL return with their second studio album, "DIORAMA". With the first singles already being released and the band having recently announced a new European tour for early 2022, the Danish blackgazers are perfectly prepared for a ferocious attack that will further cement their position as pioneers of the modern black metal scene. Recorded and mixed by Tue Madsen (Gojira, Meshuggah, Heaven Shall Burn), "DIORAMA" will unveil a captivating and aggressive sound even further and today, the band unleashes a music video for their single 'Vestige', that deals with gaslighting and our constant wish to free from reality with the cheapest means that the world offers to us. "Gaslighting takes on many forms and our willingness to subject ourselves to an illusion knows no boundaries. However rotten and hollow the core - we still buy into the idea of purchasable raptures, frail salvations, an escape from modern meaninglessness. The video juxtaposes a sunbathed, stylized expression with inspiration from Dario Argento’s colorspace of Susperia from 1977 with vivid colors and high contrasts. Unpleasant and unnerving, yet lavish and extravagant shots are interposed with the performance of the band, spiraling through daylight to nighttime in the vibrant interior of the Dome."

Inspired by bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Drop Nineteens, Lantlôs and Alcest, MØL released their self-titled debut EP back in 2014. A year later they perfected their sound with their second EP "II", produced by Jacob Bredahl and released in 2015. Both EPs were well received and drove them on to do some emphatic live shows which were praised by press. In 2018, MØL made an international breakthrough signing with Holy Roar Records (UK) who released their debut album 'Jord' to critical acclaim. The record was recorded at Grapehouse Studios and mixed and mastered by Chris Kreutzfeldt. The album was also released as an instrumental version and in 2019, the band re-released their two first EPs, remastered for CD and vinyl.

BATTLE BEAST UNLEASH FIRST SINGLE "MASTER OF ILLUSION"

After re-signing to Nuclear Blast in early 2021, the Finnish heavy metal sextet BATTLE BEAST are once again getting ready to unleash their force upon the world in the shape of their brand new masterpiece "Circus of Doom." The album is set to be released on January 21st 2022 via Nuclear Blast and in true BATTLE BEAST fashion, the 10 tracks blend true heavy metal with pop and rock-vibes, paired with Noora Louhimo’s unique voice. "Our goal was to make an interesting and absorbing album, with both lighter party songs and heavier stuff as well. In a way the whole album is like a joyful day at the circus. Janne comments on the single: "The first single from the upcoming BATTLE BEAST album, 'Master of Illusion', is a groovy and catchy song that makes dance floors roar and disco balls explode.

The story of the song is about a self-centered, greedy, narrow-minded, and thoughtless character, who sows destruction all around without listening to or respecting others. The character may represent various things in the many arenas of power – for example, those of personal relationships, as well as in politics, and everywhere in between.

Despite these heavy themes, there is playfulness in the composition, lyrics, and production, and the small twinkle in the corner of the eye that characterizes BATTLE BEAST."

"Circus of Doom" was recorded at JKB Studios in Helsinki, Finland and produced and mixed by keyboardist Janne Björkroth, while the stunning artwork was created by Jan Yrlund.

Recently, BATTLE BEAST also announced their Circus of Doom European Tour, that will follow the album release in spring of 2022. Starting in Paris on February 15th, the tour contains 19 shows all over Europe, including three shows in the UK, before concluding in Stockholm, Sweden on March 12th.

Supreme Unbeing sees their songs as important messages to the people of the Earth, and yet again has an important message to share through the song.


“This song is about self-proclaimed kings, tyrants, societal leaders… and your friends. Whether you have your own life-agenda or not, they’ll manipulate and rob you of your free will to get what they want with their – as the song goes – ever-changing Face Of Evil. Humans are dual in nature, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, we all have a good side and an evil side, which side, and face, you decide to show at any given moment is yours to balance carefully on this grand stage. Not much is known about the people behind the band, but their animated videos for singles You’ll Never Make It and Animals, both who premiered through REVOLVER Magazine last year, have been wildly successful leaving the bands following to expect the same type of visual presence in their new music video for Face Of Evil, which also released today, staring Swedish actor Dragomir Mrsic (known from “Snabba Cash”, and “Edge Of Tomorrow” where co-starred along Tom Cruise).


“When the band asked me to play the leading role in their video, I immediately accepted, the bands messages are too important to ignore. Besides, my naturally looking evil eyebrows made me feel at home with the character in the video”. Says Dragomir Mrsic
