KK’s PRIEST, the band comprised of renowned former Judas Priest guitarist, KK Downing and former vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, is ready to unleash the title track of the upcoming release, “Sermons of the Sinner.”  

The hard-charging second single from SERMONS OF THE SINNER, is available today and features a stunning new music video athttps://found.ee/SermonsOfTheSinnerVideo . In the video for the title track, K.K is seen regaining his position of strength by re-taking the book of sermons that allows him to fend off the demon that threatens to extinguish our musical legacy.  Both storyline and performance can be seen in the clip.  

Of “Sermons of the Sinner”, Downing says “The song and title track “Sermons of the Sinner” epitomizes the whole album in one just song. It is all-encompassing with its tribute to the history of our beloved genre of music, while updating the details for today’s audience.  In the song and video we not only extend our humble gratitude to loyal fans of classic rock and metal but also present a subtle warning about the future of the genre. After years of quietly enjoying life away from the rigors of the road and intense studio recording, KK Downing emerged again on stage in August 2019. His former bandmates had been given the Heavy Metal Hall Of Fame award at the Wacken Open Air festival that summer, and HMHOF board member Steve Goldby wanted to give the guitarist his award at Bloodstock. From there, the conversation led to Downing performing a few songs with Ross The Boss. Dubbed “the greatest singer in rock music today” on the sub-Reddit group “singing,” Gnecco spares no note in his desire to take the listener to a place of self-contemplation, via a cacophony of sound and a multi-octave range. “The music is a reflection of the audience,” says the mastermind behind it. “It’s all connected.”

The OURS story includes such highlights and accomplishments as signing with Dreamworks Records (after a very competitive bidding war), and then later signing with Rick Rubin and American/Columbia Records. The band has also worked with producers Steve Lilliwhite, Rick Rubin, and Ethan Johns on past records, and collaborated with Brian May of Queen for the ‘Spider-Man 2’ soundtrack. OURS also has had songs licensed to NCIS, CSI, and used in the movie ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ has collaborated/sang with The Disco Killerz and Morgan Page for the EDM hit ‘Stellar,’ plus opening tour slots with Lana Del Rey, A-Ha, and the Cult.

Each song on this new album has a different vibe but an over-arching feel that sews them together, like a film. “I feel as though we have a good balance of stadium anthems, songs that make you think, and those that you can sing along to,” Gnecco ponders.

'Are You Listening' is brash and breathy right out of the gate, with Gnecco’s signature belt and swagger. The wait is over – international metal stars ALIEN WEAPONRY have returned with a vengeance, announcing the release of their fervid upcoming sophomore release, Tangaroa, out September 17, 2021 via Napalm Records!

Since releasing their acclaimed debut Tū (2018), the New Zealanders’ kinetic presence and sound – combining elements of thrash and groove metal with lyrics in the native indigenous language, te reo Māori — has attracted throngs of fans and media supporters across the globe. As with their 2018 single “Kai Tangata” – which has amassed more than 10 million views on YouTube and claimed the number-one spot on SiriusXM Liquid Metal’s “Devil’s Dozen” for 13 consecutive weeks – much of Tangaroa is immersed in the historical stories and cultural heritage of the Māori people.

In addition, Tangaroa details stories of personal struggle and growth, as well as crucial environmentalism topics. Witness a first sample of the band’s stirring new music with the album’s colossal title track, “Tangaroa”. Accompanied by a gripping music video, the track details the pressing theme of climate change and illegal fishing practices. Through raising this awareness, ALIEN WEAPONRY hope to support the important work and efforts of theSea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Lewis de Jong says about the track:

“We decided to write this song about how the ocean is being suffocated by humans and their waste. The ocean is an important part of my life, and it's important to protect it.”

Drummer Henry de Jong adds:

“‘Tangaroa’ is a heavy and angry message about how we are destroying the ocean with pollution and overfishing. The video ties in with this message, with us drowning in plastic conveying the struggle of ocean life.”

Having achieved past and present tours and festivals with the likes of Slayer, Black Label Society and Gojira, and being hailed the “future of metal” by esteemed magazine Metal Hammer (UK) and voted by Revolver Magazine (US) fans as “one of the bands most likely to break out in 2021”, ALIEN WEAPONRY are poised to dominate with Tangaroa. The album coalesces ALIEN WEAPONRY’s growing maturation with an undisturbed songwriting process, resulting in their most inspired, honest and informed material yet.

In addition to lyrics written in te reo Māori, many tracks feature traditional instruments, called taonga puoro, providing the tracks their own warrior-like attitude. Rhythmic, dynamic album opener “Titokowaru” begins with determined rowing chants and depicts the tale of a famous war chief that challenged the colonial government in New Zealand and led a rebel army, backed by quick riffage and driving drums. Following standout “Hatupatu”, inspired by the harrowing, legendary tale of a de Jong ancestor facing off with a witch, is carried by frenzied guitars, spirited chanting and tribal-like percussion. While ALIEN WEAPONRY sourced inspiration from their culture and environmental surroundings while writing most of Tangaroa, the band also looked inward – drawing vision for other portions of the album from within. The album dives into some of their most effecting personal experiences, with English-language songs like the pensive “Unforgiving” about facing self-loathing and insecurity, and the swirling, charging “Buried Underground” detailing the aftershocks of drug abuse.

Accented by personal touches like its entrancing album art originally conceptualized from drawings by Lewis de Jong, Tangaroa is a massive next step for a band on the rise, encompassing all of the elements that make ALIEN WEAPONRY heavy metal’s most authentic rising stars.

Henry de Jong says about Tangaroa:

“The album is tied together with the message of ‘Tangaroa’ - the whole album is more a snapshot of the band’s brains during the writing process. We have also written songs that are about some of our first tūpuna (ancestors) who were here in Āotearoa (New Zealand). Hatupatu, who is very famous in Māori history, as well as Īhenga, who named a number of places in Āotearoa during his travels.”

Lewis de Jong adds about the album’s artwork and thematic details:

“The album is named after the track ‘Tangaroa’, and we went with this theme on the artwork. The album is drawn from some new experiences we've had as well as some ancient Māori tales. I think we have stepped things up from the last album.”

Bassist Tūranga Morgan-Edmonds also adds:

Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA have been added to the lineup of Knotfest's "Pulse of the Maggots 2x21" online festival! The band's brand new and never-before-seen "The Bronze Halls" performance will air in conjunction with the festival on June 25 via the official Knotfest.com Twitch channel! The festival will start at 3:00 P.M. Following the launch of the blistering track “MOOT” (featuring Kittie’s Morgan Lander) that premiered via Revolver in April, We Are PIGS today unleashes her latest creation — the gripping and brutally honest single “Blood Diamond,” accompanied by a visually alarming new video.

We Are PIGS is the brainchild of accomplished South African-born producer / songwriter / artist Esjay Jones who has worked behind the scenes with Krewella, Grey Daze, Billy Corgan and Brian “Head” Welch. For “Blood Diamond,” Jones collaborated with eclectic producer and musician M.O.B. – after sending her the beat, Jones wrote and sang to it for the heart-thumping final result. Standing for Music Over Business, M.O.B. is a music collective that mixes top-tier artists like Fever 333, DJ Lethal and 311’s P-Nut, with new and upcoming talents.

The song, which Jones says ultimately both petrifies and awe-inspires her, is about the destruction waged by past trauma at the hands of family — and Jones hopes to use the song as a mechanism to reach out to others going through the same healing process and letting them know they are not alone.

She says, “’Blood Diamond' is a song for all those healing and evolving in their lives, as I myself am still doing. In many ways I think the track was subconsciously written by a little girl that is still yearning for acceptance and learning what love really is while overcoming trauma. The pain of dealing with a dysfunctional parental relationship has really made for great art over the years but has also led to my own struggles with eating disorders, sexuality, self-love, and anger issues, and I just want people who are going through the same to know they are not alone. 'Blood Diamond' is my way of burying this burden and hopefully helping others navigate these stormy waters."

In the video, Jones wears a T-shirt from Dave Navarro and PADHiA’s art collective Duel Diagnosis, aligning with the organization’s mission to encourage people not to be shamed by struggle, but to celebrate coming out on the other side of it. Proceeds of sales from their line of prints and wearable art benefits organizations such as Safe Horizon, Musicares and Serenity Trauma Healing Center.

As Jones says of the group, "They sum it up perfectly: We all have our struggles, disorders, traumas, misadventures, flaws and defects. We are not set in concrete summarized by some shitty one-dimensional label. We are human, fallible, covered with bruises, affected ... we are also healing, evolving and each uniquely beautiful."

Jones met Navarro while producing the upcoming Grey Daze album, which is one of the great hallmarks of Jones’ sought-after production work. With the We Are PIGS project, characterized with a pig-masked frontwoman, Jones further steps into her own spotlight with a hybrid nu-metal/trap style that combines brutal riffs, brazen screams and ethereal melodies.

After debuting with a cover of Slipknot’s “Duality” in 2020, followed by original single “Pulse Queen” in early 2021, We Are PIGS has found an incredible following and support through playlist placements on Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music.

DEATH DEALER release video for powerful ballad 22 GONE

DEATH DEALER has released a video for the powerful ballad 22 GONE of of their album CONQUERED LANDS which was released November 13 2020 via STEEL CARTEL RECORDS. This song deals with the soldier suicide epidemic in the United States and the shocking statistic that on average, 22 service men commit suicide every day. Singer Sean Peck who penned the lyrics talks about it. “When I was researching the song, I was blown away by this shocking number of tragic losses that happen each day. This video brings attention to it in a very powerful way. Even though it was a ballad, this song was a surprise hit with the critics and our fans so we decided to give it the video treatment. We put it out via Youtube, since we only release a limited amount of content to the streaming services. We are focusing on exclusive music content to our supporters that buy the physical product and only those that bought the record have heard this track.”
